I hired Big Dog Movers to move the large items from one apartment to another in Madison for my daughter. I was impressed from the start with my communication with Mike, the owner, who explained their rates and how everything was calculated. They contacted us in advance to remind us of the booking and then the morning of the move with the names of the crew and their ETA to the loading apartment. Josh and Chase were right on time, very polite and friendly and got to work immediately. They were careful with the furniture and efficient in loading their truck. We headed for the new apartment in a steady rain. Upon arriving, they scoped out the best place to park to keep everything as dry as possible even though it meant moving the truck twice to allow other residents to get out of the underground parking garage. All in all a very good experience and I highly recommend them.

Overall great experience with the movers. The two guys that came were very pleasant and quick. They took good care of our stuff and wrapped everything gently. They were flexible with our requests. We had a miscommunication and it wasn't initially clear that we had to pay for drive time to our location. After discussing with Mike, he will be refunding drive time for one way which we appreciate. Would recommend the movers.

We used Big Dog Movers when we moved back in June, they did a great job, very reasonable prices and their staff are very friendly. However, a few months later we had to move again and gave them pretty short notice. This is when they impressed me the most. He was able to get us scheduled on super short notice and again the staff were very friendly and quick. I will definitely be using them for all future moves and HIGHLY recommend them to everyone in the area.

Big dog movers did an excellent job! Chase and Bobby got to my old house promptly at 8 and we had the entire house loaded up in less than 40 minutes. When we arrived at the new house they kept up the pace and we got everything unloaded and into the new house fast and efficiently. They did an awesome job and I would strongly recommend this company to anyone moving!!

The guys did a great job handling my move and were professional. Unfortunately the quoting process wasn't clear and the cost of my move ended up being $1000 more than originally expected. They tried to help me with the difference but I am still disappointed at the lack of clarity. Just make sure you understand any mileage costs that you may incur on top of the hourly labor cost. Other than that frustration, I would recommend.

Mike, John, and Clarice were the best movers I have ever worked with. If you're looking for movers, you've found them! In town or out of town, they've got you covered. I don't know about you, but I HATE moving. It's expensive, stressful, and exhausting. I was nervous about using movers because we were moving from Madison to Nashville, TN. It's a long haul and I expected the worst. Mike and Big Dog Movers made all of it so much easier. They are cheaper, kinder, and provide higher value than any of the 8 companies I called and received quotes from. Mike was awesome from the beginning. He met with me to take a look at our apartment and our stuff and gave us a time and cost estimate right away. He kept in touch with me leading up to the day of our move, helping us with all of the logistics. They treated our stuff like it was their own. They moved our largest and heaviest furniture with ease.. and they are FAST! The whole team was considerate and friendly and took the stress out of our move. I can't thank them enough, they were amazing!!

I heartily recommend Big Dog Movers for your next move. We had to do a short term lease when moving to Madison while we searched for a home. Big Dog handled both of our moves expertly and much better than other movers we have used in the past. Both home had narrow stairways, and there was no damage whatsoever. Big Dog delivers a great service at a fair price.
