I contacted Duane twice, once on January 30th and again on March 5th to confirm a specific time/date for my move. He assured me there was availability that date and that he was able to help with my move. Duane told me he would be at my apartment at 1pm on March 25th. The day of the move, 1 o’clock rolls around, no movers in sight. I called Duane and left a message, then called again at 1:46. I left three voicemails, sent texts, a message on his website, and an email. Finally one of his employees calls me and said Duane did not inform anyone that they had another move at that time and that it would be an hour before he could get to my apartment....hours later, nobody showed up and nobody from either phone number has had the decency to return my phone calls. This company is absolutely horrid, and it’s so unfortunate because Duane moved me into my apartment 18 months ago and I had high expectations for this time around based off of that experience. I got married on Saturday and my poor husband had to move every single thing from my apartment, which is four stories up, with no help because Duane doesn’t know how to run a business or be in touch with a customer who he made an appointment with. If my husband hadn’t been there, I never would have been able to move out of my apartment by myself. I’m unbelievably disappointed with this experience and I would caution anyone who uses this company to make sure they've got a very, very solid backup plan and to expect to get no call back or any explanation as to why the movers they hired didn’t show up. The least Duane could’ve done was to call me back, offer me an explanation AND a sincere apology for his mistake, and make some effort to be in touch about this. He hasn’t even done that and I think that’s a real sign of how much he cares about his clients.
