So I read a bunch of reviews, and here is how my move went this weekend. 8/26/18 was move day. I got a phone call from dispatch saying there was an issue with our truck and they needed to come Sunday. On Sunday 3 wonderful Lithuanian guys showed up, loaded the truck and we were off to our new home. They even took into account I am disabled and they left me in my chair and loaded it last so I could get in the van and go with my family. The staff were funny and friendly, and they knew exactly what they were doing. They had apparently worked together for a long time and you could tell. We got to the new place and they unloaded everything perfectly as we asked. There was the issue off being a day late, but the office staff were great and they took care of our family like we were their family. They even gave us a discount for the trouble. Thanks Seaport for treating us like family and getting us into our new home, while standing by your companies reputation.

We hired SeaPort moving to move our belonging from Salem, OR to Scottsdale, AZ. Scheduling was easy and our personal contact at SeaPort, Amy was professional and helpful over multiple calls. Our move ended up being 19,000 lbs and when unpacked by a local Arizona moving company, they commented multiple times how well everything was wrapped and packed. Not one item was damaged in this massive move! Our friends moved at the same time, with similar load, and used another company. They had multiple broken items and are still trying to get insurance and the movers to address all of the issues. I highly recommend SeaPort Moving to anyone who wants to make a stressful situation easier and more predictable. They really couldn't have done a better job for us. Thank you all at SeaPort, although I plan on never moving again, if I do I will call you.

These guys were stellar! First, the scheduling went very smoothly. Then I had to bump my move date by a couple days because of a delay with closing. They shifted me over without difficulty, even though it was to a busier day. The gents who worked on my move took great care with my things, and followed every direction along the way. They were smooth, swift, and efficient, and finished in less time than anticipated. I have no complaints whatsoever, and would definitely hire them again.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! I'm missing a TON or stuff and the stuff that actually made it is all damaged! Im going to have to replace my entire house now. Horrible, horrible service!!! Fast and professional! We chose to have an estimator come out before our move. She was great! Final cost was very close to the estimate. No surprises. The moving team arrived on time and quickly got to work. They were fast, yet took care with our furniture. At destination, they were even kind enough to rearrange a few pieces of furniture for us.

I would not recommend this company for long distance moves, and would not use them again for any size move. when I booked them, I was given a 14 day delivery window, based on negotiations prior to booking. Due to some date changes, they changed the 14 day delivery window but failed to notify me. When in my new home across the country, I contacted the company asking when my stuff would arrive, they told me at that time that they would not be doing a 14 day delivery window, but a typical 21 day window, and my belongings were still in their storage facility, awaiting a truck. There are now 4 days left until the 21 day "guaranteed" delivery window, and as far as I know, my household is still in their storage facility "waiting for a truck going this direction." I can only assume they are still waiting for a truck because I have now not received a response to my email inquiry I sent yesterday. At this point I imagine there is no way my stuff can drive from Washington state to New York. I wish they would just send a smaller truck with my stuff instead of waiting for a full large truck to send across the country. I took time off from work to be available and to unpack and get settled, and now my time is completely wasted, and I'm extremely upset about it. The only consolation I have been given is basically "I'm sorry you're upset, we'll see what we can do." It seems like they are avoiding talking to or contacting me because they have no good news to share. For long distance moves, I recommend using a company with a larger client base and a larger fleet of trucks. I chose this company because I thought they had excellent customer service, and had very good reviews, but that changed after I booked and has also gotten worse since things started going down hill, which just worsens my satisfaction. I cannot comment on the quality of services since my stuff hasn't arrived and I don't know if it will be damaged or missing UPDATE 7/18/16: I now officially feel confident with my 1 star rating. my stuff arrived 23 days after my first available delivery date. the truck arrived at 7:30pm and finished at 11:45pm. the driver was clearly irritated and tired, had hired some local people to unload, but really it was 1 experienced man who brought his teenaged son and teenaged sons friend, both of whom didn't know what they were doing. the whole time the driver of the truck was saying they need to hurry because he is supposed to be resting and I had to leave for the airport in a matter of hours (which was true). The whole thing felt very sloppy. the driver was trying to get ready to leave and I mentioned that I was told they would re-assemble my furniture that was taken apart. he seemed irritated but got to work. when he finished it was almost midnight and he rushed through the paperwork and wanted me to write down everything that was damaged and/or missing and sign the paperwork. well, at midnight and leaving for the airport in 4 hours not having packed yet, I obviously didn't have time to go through my boxes or inspect all of my items.

If I could rate this company a zero I would. The packing up was fine, but the delivery was horrendous! The driver was not only late, based on his phone call, but he showed up with no others to help out. My partner and friend helped out for what remained of the day. I let the company know right away what was going on. They assured me that more workers would be hired for the next day to complete the move. Next morning, driver again late based on his phone call, and he again showed up with no help. My friend helped him move everything out as there was NO WAY he could have done it by himself (2500 sq. feet). I again let the moving company know what was going on. Basically they said "oops". I asked for money to compensate for the labor my friends put in and the owner, Shawn, said no, that his mover said we didn't help. I sent an email again and said that was a lie, that I had records showing the phone calls to the company. He offered $200, as he worked through his office help, saying that was more than generous. I again wrote an email to have him call me. When he did, I explained everything all over again. He interrupted me constantly and basically said again we were liars. I sent another email to the company saying that I would have to go to BBB, which received a prompt response that they would give $400. As I now live across the country from this mover, I took it. DON'T USE THEM! Find another company!

My pick-up movers were 2.5 hours late and took so long to load up all of my belongings it was well past dark when they left. They took things I had told them to leave and left things I had told them to take, i.e. pieces of the beds they took apart. They scratched the floors so badly I had to pay to have them resurfaced. The foreman couldn't explain any of the paperwork. Then upon delivery they were discourteous and had broken many items, i.e. holes in my bookshelves, metal legs broken off an antique sewing machine, and a shattered mirror they didn't even sweep up the glass. They did not wrap the furniture so the furniture is smeared with grease. Brooke the wheels off a rolling island and the legs off a wardrobe, Packed lampshades crumpled. I have been disappointed since the movers showed up. Seaport Moving puts on a good face up front, but fail to deliver what they promise. They say they are not a broker and will handle your belongings the entire way, but the truck that showed up at delivery was not seaport moving nor the truck they loaded.

This is the third time I have used SeaPort. Every time they have done a great job. Today the team was Darren, Juan and Adrian. They were very polite and professional. They did a great job with my heavy antique furniture. They were very pleasant to work with. Also, Danielle in the office is fantastic to work with. She accommodated several schedule changes. We just completed a move with SeaPort and had an excellent experience. From the beginning everyone was friendly and we were offered a free survey. They came out and saw the items, Danielle was very knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable. When the movers showed up we were not quite ready but they helped us finish packing and got us loaded up all in the same day. A few days later we were updated with our balance and tracking information. We were able to follow them on twitter to see our driver's progress from Vancouver to Raleigh, NC. The weather caused a few delays but the driver was still very friendly at delivery and our items were delivered in the guaranteed time frame. I wanted to personally thank everyone at SeaPort for making my move so manageable. They handled everything from start to finish so we didn't have to and I will recommend them to everyone!

I'm very impressed with seaport moving, from their staff to the movers, my stuff went from Oregon to Virginia, roughly 2wks is all it took and was 1-4 days early. All my belongings made it safely and the guys who delivered were understanding and nice. This was my 1st time using a moving company MUCH THANKS TO BRITNEY she was so sweet, understanding and answered every question and concern.

We just moved from Oregon to Arkansas. SeaPort Moving and Storage was fantastic. They came to the house in Portland exactly on schedule, carefully disassembled furniture (I’m talking about the bedroom set) and packed it for shipment. I was particularly concerned about a high value piano and antique bedroom set with large original mirrors (over 120 years old). Three weeks to the day later, the guys arrived in Arkansas with our belongings. They had called to give us the exact time of delivery and were right on schedule. They unwrapped and reassembled the furniture and very carefully rolled the piano into its new home. There was not a scratch or damage of any kind. I know you hear a lot of stories about moving companies’ “up-charges”, but SeaPort gave a written estimate followed by the exact quote after they had picked up the load and weighed it. The estimate was very close. I was ready with the payment on delivery and there were no surprises. Hats off to Aimee who coordinated the move and to David and Nick who drove across the country and made the delivery. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend SeaPort Moving and Storage. The items we moved were treasures to us, and SeaPort treated them with great care.

I recently made a move with seaport moving and storage and everything went awesome! Britney’s follow ups were great, she really made an effort to reach out. The move went smoothly, they did arrive late but they called to keep me updated on their arrival time. The guys worked fast and efficient, and were really helpful. Hired them to move my car and some household things (studio apartment) to Arkansas from Washington by paying almost $2800. First, they claimed that they aren't brokers which is NOT true. Both the car and the household things were delivered by some 3rd party company which informed me that they are not a part of Seaport. Second, the household things took almost 3-4weeks to deliver (after lot of phone calls and follow ups). The other vendor that was moving the car, does call up and gives regular updates. Third, one of my box just got LOST in thin air by them. Seaport have no idea even after 2 months. They seem to be have NO kind of tracking system in place. When i call up, they asked me to wait for some driver to get back to WA from AR. He have the documents for them to review!! What age is this? They will NOT call you to let you know what they are doing. The onus is with the customer as per them to follow up. They aren't even sure if they delivered my box to some one else. Forth, they broke my office table. The delivery folks took a pic of the broken table. And the office folks doesn't even have any idea of the photo that was taken by the delivery guys. Danielle, who claimed to be the manager informed me that there no more supervisor above her (when requested for an escalation). She can only search and will NOT call me until they find my lost box! Applause for this kind of pathetic response to a customer who have been affected by the lousy service of the firm after paying them almost $2800. Conclusion: Seaport "have no" ownership in what they do. Customer service is light years away from this firm. Abosulotely no tracking system for the valuable things that you are handing over. STAY AWAY. As for me, i will explore and consult some law agencies to get deal with them

Sorry you won't keep deleting this. The whole experience was horrible, your driver who delivered was rude, unprofessional, threatening, and left a huge ball of garbage in our garage even after politely being asked to throw it away, he stood on our boxes, ruining some of them, you underestimates the size of the load, so I had to leave some of my things permanently, and never did anything to apologize, make it right, or even tell me what you did to educate your driver. Broken items wasnt even the half of it.

Made a contract with confirmation 6/29 and was told movers would arrive 7/14 between 0800/0900. I would be charged $180/hr for the first 2 hours and there was a 2 hour minimum. After the first 2 hours I would be charged $45 every 15 minuets there after so my move 1.8 Miles was going to cost me $1260. I agreed to this cost as I had no one else available to help. 7/13 I was called by George and told movers would arrive between 0900/1000 the next day 7/14. Mind you there is bridge work going on in Portland, OR which started 7/1 and has been all over every paper, social media, and news affiliate that indicated there would be traffic issues and closures. 7/14 at 0923 the movers called and said it would be closer to 1100. At 1123 they called and said it would be another 20 minuets. I called the company and was told there wasn’t anything that could be done until Monday when she tackled to her manager and most likely no discounts would be offered because I live and was moving within Oregon. I told the woman I needed her to call her manager, yes on a weekend, and get this situation taken care of. I told her that I would only be paying foR 2 hours but the movers would be staying to finish the job as they were using up time I had expected them to be there and moving my stuff. She called back and stated “The owner doesn’t want any trouble and had decided to cancel the move and had turned the drivers around” She suggested I find someone in my area to help me. I was beyond shocked! The day of my move from my home that was sold and I needed to be put of by Monday the “owner” was canceling my move. I work Monday-Friday as a nurse and didn’t have the availability of friends to help me move because they are all off fighting wildland fires and have been the entire summer! I said fine I want them for 2 hours and what gets done in those 2 hours is what I will get done. She called back and said the owner agreed to that and the movers then showed up by 1230. The 3 gentleman did a great job of packing the big stuff into the truck quickly and moving it into my new home. From what I gathered they had done a move prior to mine. No one from the company bothered to call me and discuss the incident and even more so the company never bothered to apologize.

We used Seaport Moving and Storage to move us from Washougal to Camas after our home was built. Prior to that we had 3 brothers moving when we sold our home and went to an apt temporarily I called around and got about a half dozen quotes. The guys from Portland wanted to charge extra because they were coming from Portland. Some of the companies that offer labor, but you rent the truck were just slightly cheaper, but then you have the issue of the truck and the liability that goes along with that. I was crossing my fingers because they were the cheapest and I hoped I would not be sorry for it. I was thoroughly impressed and were about 35% cheaper than 3 brother’s when we used them before. Also they don’t charge for certain number of garment boxes which is incredible. I would recommend seaport to anyone who asks as we were very pleased.

Great customer service. We recently did a move from Beaverton to Bellevue. Windy was great, she was very organized and detailed and made sure that we were all set on move day. The crew arrived on time, they wrapped everything well and were super fast. When we got to the final destination, nothing was damaged. We started at 9am and were totally moved in by 5pm. I liked the Windy was able to move us all in one day. When I called other movers in the area, I was easily quoted more and told that it was a 2 day move.

I used this company to mive my belongings from Portland Oregon to Phoenix Arizona. To say the least I WILL NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN. Quite a few of my belongings never made it or were stolen. They used a third party to unload my items and the guy insisted on a tip for the crew of 4 and himself. After they unloaded my things they had another job in Apache Junction and some of the crew said they didn't feel like driving that far. His response was I'll call done of my family to see if they want to earn some money since you guys don't want it. So tjis company doesn't have a regular staff. I called them later abiut my things and was rudelytold by Danielle that it was up to me to make sure my things were there and in tact. I 3explained to her that I at that time didn't have my stools and dollies and lap top that was in the messegar bag buy only got the bag. Niy the lap top. Later on I realized I was missing the adapter for my exercise bike and also the wires from my treadmill had been broken because they put tape around it instead of the plastic first. When the tape was removed it pulled the wires out And they snapped. To this day I'm still realizjng things things are missing. I WILL NOY REFER THEM NOR EVER USE THEM AGAIN. NOW I SEE WHY THEY WERE THE CHEAPEST. I LEARNED YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR SMH

I have a very worst experience with Sea port. They committed me to deliver my package within 2 weeks and in worst case no later than 21 days. 2 weeks later I called them to know the status of my package they said it wasn't loaded will deliver soon, then I called them again after 2 days, Daniel simply said "we don't know when your package will be loaded but call you as soon as i know the details". 21 days have passed, still giving same message. We have been suffering a lot with 2 kids without having any daily need household items, came to Tampa from Portland by packing things based on their words. Now suffering everyday. Please don't blindly go with their words they can delivery only after the truck to your way is full until then they will never listen and bother your situation.

Seaport helped me with my long distance move (and storage) from Portland to Austin, TX in Aug 2013. Windy and her crew are simply amazing. Moving is very stressful and the people at Seaport truly accommodate and work with the needs of the customer to make it as simple as possible. Friends referred us to Seaport Moving for our move from Seattle to Portland. Seaport drove to Seattle, retrieved our household goods from Storage and delivered them to our new home in Portland. Arrangements, quote, pickup, delivery and move in of all goods into desired location in our home was effortless on our part and as scheduled. A year later we then had Seaport ship what we didn't need in our Portland residence on to Phoenix, and once again the move went as planned and as quoted. I used Seaport Moving and Storage to move cross country from Portland OR to Belmont MA. They offered the best price by far, as much as $1,500 difference compared to some of the big ones who have horrendous reviews, with no compromise on service. They were courteous, friendly, and extremely prompt on both ends of the move. I was especially impressed with their unloaders who communicated in a timely manner, arrived exactly when they said they would, and did a super job, fast, careful, and helpful. Seaport’s staff was communicative, responsive, and reliable. A much better moving experience than I expected. I recommend them highly.

Seaport moved my daughter. Best movers I have experienced. Brad & his team were professional, personable, fast, clean. Careful, helpful. Protected all furniture with quilts and shrink wrap. They charge by the hr. These boys moved fast not taking advantage of hourly fee. Only took a 5 min. Brake in 4 hrs. They were careful with our time. Best movers I've ever experienced. They made a change in address stress free. Enjoyed them and the whole move.
