The moving crew was very professional and efficient. They took good care of our household items and packed the truck with care. My only complaint is that we were not provided an inventory of the items that they took for storage; in prior moves every item/box was tagged and inventoried. I was told that they don't do that for loads that are going into temporary storage and i guess that i can accept that.

So if you're like me, you want the most trusted movers and you check reviews religiously moving companies near you. Limit to your top 3 and then decide---after calling to see an estimate of charges. I finally made my choice on Puget Sound Moving because of their stellar BBB reviews. It's the highest grade out of the movers I was interested in. Now to the good stuff. You call the number on their website, they collect your information, ask you about the size of dwelling and/or storage unit you are moving from. They give you a quote (don't forget to mention the coupon on their website). Once you have your moving date down, they tell you, you will receive a confirmation email a week before the move. And a phone call two days before the date. I get nervous when I don't receive a confirmation email, so I pestered and they sent me one a month before. = ) Alright, I get a call from Antonio and he's my moving team manager. I have a team of 3 movers and a large moving truck. I moved out of a single family home and storage unit to a new home within the same city/vicinity. Antonio and his team arrived at the time promised. Moved the things out of my storage unit with extreme care and plastic/pad wrapped everything that needed to be. We had most everything in boxes, so we were not charged any extra fees for equipment. Got to the single family home we were moving out of and again, handled everything professionally. Once we arrived to the new home, they took a much deserved break, then unloaded. Having the boxes already marked with the room i.e. Master bedroom, basement helped cut down the time. I only needed to show them which room was which and out they went. Any questions regarding placement, they would just ask. They even put our bedframe together for us! It took them 4 hours total for everything and we couldn't be happier with the level of service. And in case you're thinking about your new carpet and their shoes. They even placed their own red carpet from the door entrance to the upstairs! So any debris/dirt would get on the red carpet before entering any of rooms. I know this was a long drawn out review, but go with Puget Sound Moving. It was everything they promised, nothing broken and overall a professional quick process! We also provided them with snacks, water and a tip.

What they did, they did well. But they didn't do enough. They wrapped the furniture, they protected it, they padded it in the truck, but they didn't move a single rug. A lot of things didn't get moved, and we found we had to specifically call out things to make sure they got moved. Additionally -- and much more worrying -- after the move this company asks you to review them on their site. If you click 5 stars, it brings up the Google reviews form; if you give them less you just put in the review into some throwaway form on their site, so they are biasing their public reviews. We took a star off the review for this behavior.

Puget Sound Moving blew my mind! Its been a long time since we moved, and the bids we got were confusing. Weight vs. Cubic feet, insurance, binding or non-binding bids…. WHAT?! I could have avoided all the time and stress, and just made one call to Puget Sound Moving. Their price was in line with all the others, but their service was much better. 4 things stood out: 1) Information: they clearly explained all the moving parts to a move, and gave us pointers on how to evaluate our different options and bids.(insurance, pricing, delivery etc) 2.) Courtesy: they were cheerful and willing. They were happy to answer our questions, and move all of our items, no matter how heavy or inconvenient. We even asked them to move a fridge twice after it didn’t fit… they were happy to do so 3)Quick: They were on-time and fast moving. They didn’t stop to talk on the phone or smoke a cigarette… they worked quietly and quickly until the job was done 4) Careful: they wrapped our furniture and avoided any damage to our belongings or property If you have to move, Puget Sound Moving can make a brutal chore seem pleasant.

Schizophrenic moving at its finest! I paid $10K for damaged furniture, lost fittings (because they broke down furniture not intended ever to be dismantled), and crushed personal goods full of dirt and gouges. What I got was a $1K painting that belongs to someone else, tools that were left in boxes, and missing items like my headphones and fishing gear. I wonder who got those? Is there a swap forum I'm not aware of? When asked for a copy of the work order and contract during questioning, I was told that they didn't remember me. Thanks to Kelton and Jamie for a really awful experience. I'll post the picture of my flat screen monitor face down. It says fragile on the box - face up, yet the photo clearly shows the item face down, lying flat. Some items were wrapped, and some items, like my turntable, kitchen appliances, and a really cool carved stone lamp base, just thrown into a box with stuff on top. When the x-country movers arrived to pick up the items in storage, no ID was required. The company advertising says "stress free" - apparently for them. Never again. I'm considering legal action and an insurance claim through the State of Washington. Here's what I learned from this: -Don't send experienced movers, send boys who don't own or know how to care for things. This way you can deny any responsibility, feign loss of memory, or shrug of all accountability for the outcome of the job. -Nowhere even on the internet does it say FOLD 100% wool rugs in half to move and store. In fact even the internet says not to do that. -Always use the customer's area rugs to wrap paintings and mirrors, because we're saving money on moving materials. -Never wrap anything such as electronics or kitchen appliances since that probably costs us more. Instead, just throw everything into boxes until you can barely close the flaps, and mark the box "fragille." Really. -Disregard completely the weight limitations printed clearly on the boxes, because no matter what we can fit in at LEAST 20 lbs more!

I was skeptical about moving companies based on the horror stories that I was hearing. These guys were absolutely amazing! I had good communication overall in the inquiry and scheduling phase. But I have to tell you the most amazing part was the four-man crew that came to pack up wrap upload transport unpack unwrap and position our household items with great care. I had really high standards and expectations and they exceeded them across the board. On top of all of that they were also a really nice group of gentlemen and could not have made this long stressful day better. It was truly a wonderful experience beginning to end and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a similar experience.

I cannot recommend PSM highly enough. My mother brought a difficult task to the table, a set of heirloom furniture that weighs a ton and needed to be handled very carefully. From the first PSM's staff were professional and courteous towards her, answering all her questions in great detail. They understood her heirloom furniture means a very great deal to her. We were moving from California to Washington, and unexpectedly needed a Washington moving company at the last minute when we discovered that the national company that picked up our belongings in California would not deliver them to our new address in Washington. Instead our items were to be placed in a storage facility near Seattle, which was about 75 miles from our new home in a rural area. I received a recommendation from our realtor to try Puget Sound Moving, and it turned out to be exactly the right choice. I called Puget Sound, described our problem, and their friendly representative immediately said that they could handle the move, even though it was less than a week from the time of my call. Their three man crew showed up on time at the storage facility, moved all of our belongings onto their truck, and arrived at our home 75 miles away by noon. They then quickly and professionally moved our belongings into the house, placing them where we directed, and then re-assembling and setting up the furniture as needed. The crew was done by 3 p.m., the rate was reasonable, and the team was very positive and helpful. I highly recommend the services of Puget Sound Movers!

Solid experience. Get your own no parking signs and save yourself hundreds of dollars, though. Also, the movers will use packing tape on anything that looks loose, including furniture pieces. The tape peels off finishes and paint, so protect any surfaces you care about. The movers work hard, are friendly, and show up on time.

My move was limited to moving a 375 lb Sears chest freezer from my basement to my driveway for pickup by a recycling truck. The four men sent were very competent and quickly moved the freezer from the basement to the stairwell, moved it up the stairs and did a difficult rotation at the top to get it through the kitchen door. I was very pleased that the job was done in less than one hour, with no accidents and no damaged woodwork. I would use them again.

They were the least expensive of 4 estimates I received, so I was a little hesitant, but their pricing structure was also the most straightforward and they were the easiest to communicate with during bidding. We had 2 large trucks and t guys who showed up on time, looked and worked and communicated professionally all day. They took less time than estimated and charged us accurately.

Very friendly and punctual crews who handled my two moving jobs very efficiently. There were some minor hiccups with damage to walls when moving items in tight corners - but nothing overly major. This might have been on me, but be advised - they charge for travel time - and have a minimum, so make sure you have a firm understanding of what your quote entails. The crew arrived right at the time promised. The three man crew was very efficient, quick and courteous. They wrapped and protected every piece that needed protection and everything arrived at the new location in good condition. The unload was equally efficient with each piece in its intended room. The move was over the cascades on 1-90 and all done in about 7 hours. (not including the return trip by the crew) I feel the cost of the move was very reasonable. I don’t normally do reviews but these guys took the pressure off a stressful move. I would (will) recommend them to anyone needing this service.

Second time was even better than the first. We've used Puget Sound Moving for both time-based and miles/weight moves. Our most recent experience went very well with no major issues. Some highlights: We have a large collection of heavy vintage furniture and dishes which were all treated with care like everything else. They went out of there way to setup things like beds, outdoor seating and office areas. The property we move into is very large and they didn't have any trouble shuttling items to the various out-buildings, garage and house. Finally, we liked the team's overall attitude and even sense of humor at times.

Movers showed up on time and packed the truck fully in 3-4 hours. The only problem was leaking oil in the truck, which was caused by someone at a service shop not putting the oil cap back on. 3 men loaded the truck, and the next day they delivered everything to our location 270 miles away. 2 men did the second job, and again it was done in about 3 hours. I'd certainly recommend Puget Sound Moving for efficiency and quality.

I booked this mover about 3 weeks ahead of an in town move, used them seven years ago and all went well so figured why not. I arranged two trucks and four movers to be there on a Saturday and had my house completely packed and everything dismantled for them to move. They arrived with one truck and three movers, when I asked the lead about the other truck and the other mover because it would take two trucks to move the house he said the guy did not come to work and it was not his problem. I tried to explain it is not my problem as the customer we had a contract, he said I don't really feel like working today anyway. They were fired on the spot; then I had to chase the company for my deposit back and never once got an apology or anything from this company for the stress and headache the caused.

This company scammed me, and will not reply to my email that I sent twice. The pricing was different than what I was told when I booked the services. I was told $165/hour. When the moving people came they said that there is a minimum of 4 hours plus travel. I was never told this until day of service. I do not see any email communication either saying this in writing. We had to be out of our apartment same day so I didn’t have the option of cancelling. The mover also noted that on his communication from management from a text message there was no mention of a minimum which there usually is. He called his manager who would not change the minimum requirement. The mover was able to reduce the price slightly from 4 hours plus 1 hour travel to just 4 hours. It only took about 2 hours total because we had already packed/wrapped everything ourselves, and moved everything near the front door. We were told by the moving men that we were the most prepared they had ever seen. Also, the men were given the wrong destination address, so it took them about an extra 15 minutes. I had confirmed the moving address about 3 times on the telephone prior to this move.

They are very organized, from initial walkthrough to last box being unloaded. The day-of crew was extremely efficient and very careful to lay down padding, and carpeting throughout the house to protect my floors. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GO WITH PUGET SOUND MOVING!!! Josh Robinson is incompetent, unprofessional, and doesn't care about your move. He lacks the ability to coordinate your move and doesn't care about his employees! He set up a move for us that was completely underestimated. The truck wasn't large enough and he didn't send any movers. When I called him he said "It happens" and refused to provide more movers. Our family ended up renting a truck and we had to move past midnight to get everything into place. There was damaged furniture and he refused to help take care of it. If you want unreliable service, don't care about your furniture. and want to talk to someone who doesn't care about you or his family... talk to Josh Robinson of Puget Sound Moving!!! Go somewhere else if you want a professional moving company that will take care of you and your furniture!

They showed up perfectly on time and moved all of the large items we wanted moved. The only thing I didn't love was that there is a 5 hour minimum we did not know about and our move took 4 hours, so we ended up having to pay them for an extra hour ($150 more for an hour we did not need). They had originally suggested we use two trucks and 4 crew members but we went with one truck and 3 crew anyways... if we had gone with two trucks we would have wasted even more money paying for the minimum time.

Be sure to request accurate time estimates as we were given an estimate (4h) and told later than they didn't want to give their 'real' estimate and "scare me away" (it took 2.5h longer/63% more expensive than estimated). Would still recommend, with keeping this in mind.

As a Realtor, I've worked with many movers for clients, and a handful of movers for personal moves. Puget Sound Moving was the best experience I have ever had. From the bid (which ended up being spot on), to scheduling, to the very professional moving team that showed up on time, handled our belongings with care, even being friendly with our eight year old daughter who, well, got in the way at times trying to be helpful :). They never stopped moving (pun intended), it was 90 degrees and It didn't occur to me until the end of the day that they didn't even stop for a lunch break. I really can't say enough good things and will be recommending them to clients in the future!

I had to coordinate an unexpected and very hurried move for my elderly parents , and contacted two other movers prior to getting in touch with Puget Sound Moving. The other two firms were very slow to respond and did not follow through in a timely manner to my requests for an estimate. Within 20 minutes of contacting Puget Sound, Jamie provided me with an estimate and we scheduled packing for the very next day. The move from WA to OR was completed prior to the other firms even returning their estimates. Very professional in all aspects of the move - highly recommended.

I hired Puget Sound moving to pack and move into a new house in early August 2018. The scheduler was very professional and courteous as he talked with me about costs for my requested services. A couple days prior to the move, they called to validate and confirm the date/timing of the move - which gave me comfort as I had very tight timelines to do the move. The packers/movers arrived on schedule. They quickly started packing and moving boxes and items into the big truck. I couldn't believe how fast they worked - and with quality! I had an idea in my mind as to how long it would take to pack and move - and they beat those expectations! At the new house, they diligently took the items off the truck and would ask me where to put certain boxes or items (if I hadn't already marked them). They set up my bed and arranged heavier furniture items exactly where I requested. Due to their professionalism and expediency - I would highly recommend Puget Sound Moving company!

The key to protecting your stuff in a move is in the packing, the wrapping, and reducing the number of times an item is handled (loaded, moved & unloaded). Ideally, that means once your stuff is boxed or wrapped and loaded onto a truck, the truck-box doors are not opened again until the truck reaches your new home. Not many moving companies offer that kind of service, Puget Sound Moving does and their pricing is competitive. When moving, you want a “dedicated truck” that will pick up and deliver everything to your final destination.
