Moving is always a nightmare. I hate moving. But the APEX staff was really professional. They made the move bearable. Dean communicated with me and gave me a correct estimate. Granted I thought it would take less than 8 hours, which it did, but tried to move as much as possible. There was a bit of times I thought the movers might be slow on purpose but this is the name of the game. Both of the movers were very nice and professional at all times. They help put away all the boxes I needed in storage and also helped put together my dining room table. All in all I would certainly hire them again.

Update, my items arrived overseas with multiple items completely ruined due to water intrusion into the shipping crates (crated by the movers at their location), which resulted in items completely covered mold, electronic components filled with water, and warping of wooden furniture. I'm currently fighting with the insurance company but its now been months without any reimbursement.

James came out and inventoried what we needed and approximately how much it would cost and took notes on what we wanted for my mom and dad's furniture and was very professional and kind. Sheena in the office called several times to make sure that we knew what to expect on moving day and then she checked in with me during the move to make sure that everything was going well.The movers, Dani, Victor and Mace were the best. Timely, polite, friendly and efficient with their time and took EXTRA care with the furniture. Would use them in a heartbeat again. Kalapana!

The 2 guys that showed up did a good job keeping our stuff from damage. However, I did see both of them taking a break after only working for 45 minutes. One was smoking, the other was in the truck on his cell phone. I wouldn't call them speedy by any means, but our stuff arrived safely for only going 4 miles away. Their paperwork had the wrong destination address so I'm fortunate that I saw the paperwork or they would have ended up in the wrong place.

The three young gentlemen who moved us were not only friendly, but very professional. There was a problem moving the piano because the proper equipment was not sent with them at the time of the move. They discussed it together and with us and determined that the piano could not be moved without ramps. That was very important to us because the piano was valuable and needed extra care. Our movers worked with their dispatch until a solution was found and another worker was sent with the ramps. Our three young movers did a splendid job and we commend them and recommend them. Scheduled appointment for estimate. When they didn't show up, I called Apex and was told it was scheduled for the following Thursday, not this Thursday. The did send James out later that same day and gave us a verbal estimate. We were told we would get an email with our written est. After a week I called and was told they were sorry and would have James get that to me. Another week has now gone by with no written estimate. I called them again and I asked if we were even on their books for our move on the 3rd and was told no. They don't do that until James emails the estimates and lets them know. Was told that James is their only sales person and works long hours. That's unfortunate for their business because if he can't follow through, then they are going to lose a lot of business. Moving is stressful enough without wondering if you actually have a mover that's going to show up on moving day. Thankfully, in the meantime we reserved a spot with another company that gave us a written estimate that same day. 11/19/15 Have since spoken with the owner, Dean, and found that an email of the estimate went to my SPAM file. I suggested letting the office staff know of this possibility so they could pass that info on to the next potential customer that may not know this. Dean apologized for James not making a follow up phone call, to make sure the estimate went through. My major frustration was with the office staff I spoke with on the phone. First with the error in what day I requested for them to come out and give me an estimate to the lack of follow through. I felt like that person was just shrugging it off. Dean stated that the office person I spoke with has since quit. I did let Dean know that during the estimate, James was very polite and professional. At this point, even though I didn't use them for my move, I've amended my rating up to a 3 star for the facts that the owner did follow up and James was very polite and professional during the estimate.

Do not use them! Especially if you have a small move. They will try to gouge you into a 4 hour minimum. Especially for weekends. I had them come out to take a look at a small move that would be maybe 2.5 hours. I was told that because it was such a small move it would be either a morning or afternoon appointment. I only had a small amount of stuff and so was going to use a Friday. I was told that they would call me to tell me when they would do it. They didn't call me back and when I finally called to find out whether it would be morning or afternoon, low and behold they told me that they were now booked and I would have to do it on a Saturday with the 4 hour minimum. Very clever. Don't trust them and use them only at your own peril. Especially if you have a small move. r

Excellent service!!! Apex was awesome, in every way! Initially I contacted them for an estimate - they came out, were very professional, explained everything - all the options - nothing hidden, super helpful! I got my estimate which was explained very thoroughly to me and that it was an "estimate" and how it could maybe go up or maybe go down. Again, very up front and professional, nothing hidden at all. The date ended up changing and the office staff were nothing but courteous and understanding the entire time - I knew I could count on them! Moving day finally came and the moving staff were super friendly, helpful, and very efficient! What I really loved about Apex was they broke down those items that needed to be (e.g., a treadmill, some shelving) and it was ALL included - when I arrived at my destination and everything was unloaded, boom, it was unloaded to where I need it to be and all the items that had been taken apart were put back together! When I got my bill it was a wee bit higher than my estimate, which I knew to possibly expect, but it was because the weight of all my stuff was higher than had been initially figured, no problem. No surprises or hidden costs - and EVERY step of the way was professional, caring, helpful, and efficient! Moving sucks, but if I ever have to go through that again (I hope it's no time soon!) I will most definitely go through Apex!

I needed to get 30 new cabinets moved up a flight of stairs without damaging or dirtying any walls or the brand new cabinets. Ulu and John spent just the right amount of time hanging blankets and planning their work to make sure everything went smoothly. 90 minutes of their work saved me an entire day with a friend trying to move these big boxes that were only an inch or 2 narrower than the stairway. Worth every penny and got exactly what I wanted

The absolute worst moving company I have ever used. That’s what I get for trying to save a buck. First load out of the house to the truck they spell three boxes of depression glass. The next thing they damaged was an entertainment center that’s been in my family for over 35 years. My mom has moved countless times over the years and never once was it damaged until they got their hands on it. There was a three man crew that showed up and only one of the three really actually work. It took him four hours to move 50 boxes and one entertainment center. They tried to add on an additional credit card fee. At the end when I was looking at the bill they show their start time at 8:45 when they didn’t show up to the house till nine and then they try to say that we were done at one when we were really done at 12:30 and then to add Drive time into it have a half an hour 15 minutes each way..... The only words I have to say is con artist. Response to Owner response; We called in the middle of he move and expressed how we were feeling and they pretty much told us off. If their truck was not loaded with our belongings, I would have told them to get off my property! Don’t be fooled.

The whole entire moving crew was fantastic. The guys were super friendly and did an awesome job moving our 4 bedroom home. They were professional the entire time and I am so glad that I chose Apex to move us. They really took time for each room to make sure the furniture was exactly the way we wanted it. We had to use our garage for storage and the team took the time to stack items so nicely. We would have never been able to do that ourselves. The time they took really set them apart from other movers we have used in the past.

I thought we were making such a safe choice when we booked with Apex. They have great reviews, and were recommended by our realtor. I now feel like a fool for paying more and getting the same, or worse service, than I've gotten off the Uhaul directory for much less. So what went wrong? Nothing catostrophic. It was a bunch of smaller things adding up. 1)They didn't take the time to wrap any of our furniture, though I specifically asked the movers to. This is what I thought I was paying extra for. 2) They make you sign a waiver removing their responsibility for everything, broken electronics and appliances, large mirrors or other glass, any mdf furniture. They scratched the top of our glass table, and we had no recourse. 3)They charge $2 per hour extra if you pay with a card. That is not just a straight fee to cover their bank charges, they are trying to diswade you form using a card. We used a check because of this policy. Then someone stole the account info from that account and routed money from our account. All info you can obtain from a check. Could just be a coincidence, but we rarely use that account. I will say that for the most part everyone was nice. The movers hussled to try to get as much done as possible, though I was really wanting to have a few priority items moved with care, and told them we would take care of the rest ourselves. I'm sure they had good intentions trying to get everything in the place moved. Unfortunately the result was several nicked and scratched items.
