This was one of the worst experiences Ive ever had with a moving company -- and Im in the military and move frequently. Allow me to preface this with the fact that I hate writing a bad review. I would much rather call Priority and discuss the issues that arose during my move and the overage charges I incurred but they never answer their phone or return messages and voicemails. So here we go:
I hired Priority on Thumbtack for a straightforward 2 bedroom condo move (2 men 3 hours - 1:00-4:00pm - $240). On move day they showed up incredibly late, at 4pm. Fine. Never mind we missed a full day of work waiting around. They reconciled the extreme tardiness by adding an extra guy to get the job done faster. So three guys showed up with a truck that they immediately told me was far too small for my 2 bedroom condo move ( I hired them for a two bedroom move). Therefore it would take them longer because they would have to make trips between the old place and new.
Long story short, I paid a bill at 10pm for $480 because it took them six hours to move everything over several trips. Plus nothing got assembled at the new place (which, according to my quote, it was supposed to). I have two kids under two and my husband and I were assembling their cribs at 11pm while they wailed amongst the boxes. This wasn't due to our poor planning, we wanted to pay a company to do something we could do ourselves because we have two young kids. The move could not have been more of a disaster and it was all thanks to Priority.
And they didn't even move everything! They just left a few random pieces of furniture at our old condo! So we had to pay even more to rent a truck the next day and finish the move by ourselves!
I think Priority owes me AT LEAST the overage charges of $240 since its not my fault they didn't bring a large enough truck for a two bedroom move. But, of course, they refuse to return any of my messages. In fact, when I submitted a poor review of them on thumbtack, the owner threw in our faces that we tipped the movers! Of course we tipped the movers, we felt bad for them having to work through the evening due to the owner's incompetence. Incredibly unprofessional company. Don't hire them.
