I hired Prime Movers USA last summer. I had Tom and his partner John as my movers on my day to move. They were absolutely incredible. My move was scheduled for 2pm, but I got a call at 1pm asking if they could show up early, which I had no problem with. So already off to a fantastic start. They did a walk through at the beginning asking what I want moved. I asked them to move several glass tables and other furniture. Everything was wrapped in blankets before they took it out of the apartment. They were very quick and very efficient in everything they did, especially considering it was a hot and humid day. Nothing was damaged at all, not even scratched. My whole move, which I thought would take 3-4 hours, took less than two, so I fell under the minimum of 2 hours. I had no problem paying the minimum since these guys were flawless in my opinion. When I need to move again, Prime Movers USA will be the first ones I call, especially if I can get the same crew.

I recently moved from an Apt by the Oceanfront to a house in the Great Neck section of VA Beach. I had gotten a referral from a couple of ladies who had used Prime Movers and I hired them. I was hoping for the best, but was unsure of what I'd get when I went to let them in. Sometimes with movers, you just have no idea who's going to show up. Well, no worries. These guys were polite, respectful and worked hard, non-stop. No music playing, no checking their phone every 3 minutes, no smoke breaks, etc. Heck, they barely even spoke. They just got the job done quickly, quietly and efficiently. I was also impressed because they get paid more the longer it takes them...but yet they were expeditious and did not drag it on at all. These guys are machines! They have my highest possible recommendation and I'll use them again. 5 star rating and 2 thumbs up!

Tom and his crew were professional and were a great help to me when I needed a quick turnaround on an out of state move. I received a quote on the same day as my inquiry, and Tom kept open communication with me as we scheduled the pickup and delivery. Everything arrived in the same condition as it was packed, and loading/unloading was efficient. The fact that the crew uses a midsize truck made it much easier to access apartment parking, compared to an 18-wheeler. If I find myself in the Hampton area again, I'll definitely look to Prime Movers for their service.

We needed a moving company to move my Mom from Norfolk, VA to the Raleigh, NC area. After researching a lot of companies, I contacted Prime Movers USA based on their outstanding reviews. I received an immediate reply from the owner, Tom Ivy, as well as a ball park estimate based on the information I provided. He later came out to the house and provided an exact price, which was lower than most. We picked a date for the move, and they arrived right on time. He, and his crew of three, had everything loaded quicker then we ever thought possible. And they are expert loaders, utilizing every inch of space in their 24' truck. Delivery the next day in NC was also right on time, and Tom was sure to text with his ETA. Unloading was quick and efficient. More importantly, nothing was missing or damaged. And my Mom owns a lot of antiques and delicate furniture. They were also happy to take a bed to a second location nearby, and it wasn't a problem at all. Of note, make sure you know exactly what is going on the truck, and what is not. Also, he prefers to be paid with cashiers checks. Not a big deal, but just something to know and take care of before move out day. And communication back and forth with Tom was quick and easy. If/when you have questions, you text him and he will give you an answer. I truly have nothing to complain about, and can recommend Prime Movers USA without any reservations what-so-ever. Local or out of state, if you need movers and want a pain free and affordable experience, do yourself a favor and give them a call. Thank you, Tom & crew, for a job well done!!

This moving company is first rate. They move all around the Tidewater area (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown). They moved my parents' furnishings from Virginia Beach to Albuquerque, NM. The move was completely turnkey and the moving crew took great care packing all their items. My mother had lots of small porcelain figures that Prime Movers wrapped expertly. Everything was in great condition upon arrival in Albuquerque. I thought the price they charged was very fair given how much they did and the great care they exercised with my parents' furnishings. I will definitely work with them again because I will be using them to move my own things to Albuquerque now.

They were wonderful! They paid great attention to detail and took extra time to make sure my items were not damaged. Unfortunately my last movers did a terrible job packing and getting my things into storage so lots of boxes were crushed... but Tom and his crew did a great job !!! It was well worth the time especially considering their competitive price. The efforts they made to minimize any further damage was greatly appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation!

As a military officer, I have moved more times than I can count. I am used to all of the trials and tribulations that occur as part of a move and I never look forward to any of them. That being said, my recent move with Prime Movers USA to Virginia Beach, VA was as close to perfect as I have ever experienced. Specifically, for the first time, I sustained NO damage at all. This in and of itself was a small miracle, but I think what I really enjoyed about this experience was the ease of the entire process. They came out, in person, and conducted an in-depth walkthrough and an extremely accurate estimate. In fact, I paid EXACTLY what they quoted, with no tricks, gimmicks or modifications. Next, the day before the move, Prime Movers USA professionally packed everything I had, they loaded everything into their truck and they stored it for the night. The next day, they transported everything to VA Beach, unloaded everything and unpacked everything. They even removed all of the trash and packing material before they left! All I had to do was rearrange a few things and that is it, I was done! Can you imagine an entire move taking place in two days with nothing to do but rearrange a few things? Expeditious, stress-free, professional, and extremely cost-effective are the adjectives that come to mind when describing Prime Movers USA! I think the only thing I would have done differently was request they start an hour or two earlier… toward the end of the day, I was getting tired, and I was just watching. I can only imagine how the three movers must have felt. A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!
