This should really be zero stars. The movers showed up and had my girlfriend sign the start time on the paper. Then they spent almost a half hour on the clock parking the truck. They brought no packing materials and refused to pack anything, which left my girlfriend and I scrambling to get things into boxes so they could be loaded on the truck. They loaded everything we could get into boxes and declared they were done. We went to the new house and found that one of the legs of the couch they moved had come off. We asked them where it was and they said it was in a box somewhere. They did not ask where to put anything, just dropped it all in the living room. They then asked my girlfriend to sign the papers for the job end time in advance, which was four hours after they started. Four hours is ridiculous for a one bedroom apartment in the first place, and they left a ton of stuff behind because it had not been packed yet. The four hour cost came out to $450 which is $150 higher than their hourly rate. They tacked on $150 worth of fees. They continued to unload the truck until they had about ten minutes left of the signed time. Then they pulled my girlfriend aside, told her that I did not need to be present for this conversation, and started pressing me to how I was going to “take care of them" to finish the move. She came inside and we moved some stuff around to make room for the rest of the things. When we got back outside, the movers were sitting in their trunk and had left the rest of the items (the heaviest of course) piled up in the driveway. Since we refused to “take care of them further” they just left. We spent the next 8 hours moving the rest of her stuff from the apartment. We haven't gone through the boxes yet, but the couch was definitely broken. We tried to get a hold of someone at the company to complain about this and got put on hold for 2 hours. Nobody ever answered. We drove to the richmond office listed on their website. It doesn't actually exist. This is easily the worst moving company I've ever encountered. I'll update this review if we find anything broken in the boxes. Stay away from these guys. If we can ever get ahold of someone we'll be asking for our money back.

I was stood up by another company and they got me moved within hours. Easy booking ever. Lowest price in town and quick service. Great job.

I was happy that they could get me in on such short notice and with a special price!.... I was in a time crunch, but I wish I had read the reviews first =( They showed up 2 hours late. They broke or scratched every single piece of furniture I have. Only positive: At least, they worked the whole time they were "on clock". Movers seriously need training. Also, why were they sent with no padding/ plastic wrap/ straps??! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND... unless you're having them move old furniture to a dumpster!

Please be WARNED! Keep looking…Run don’t walk. Total nightmare of a move. I am confident that the “highlights” of this review below (a full explanation of the nightmare move would be endless) is not an isolated incident or just a bad day. From dealing with “Gary” for over a month for an alleged “good faith” 2 hour refund, I am very confident to report that the business model of this company lacks ethics, values and competence. I actually do not need the refund, I’m ok…I hope to warn others to do research of actual customers. My fear is someone that really cant afford to be taken advantage of, will fall into this deceitful situation. From my experience with this "company", I am totally perplexed how this company has any favorable reviews , 1. 2hours late (I was waiting an hour early, scheduled at 9, showed up at 11) Called to find out where they were, Gary says “HR” issues. 2. Overcharged 2 extra hours and moved approx. 50% less than original estimated. 3. Original estimate 4 hours, allow 5. Swindled out of 2 extra hours. 4. Movers were incompetent as far as ability and efficiency. 5. Beat the hell out of my furniture, old house walls as well as the walls in my brand new house. 6. Would not move a piano that was included in the estimate (I had to hire a piano mover later in the week for additional charge) 7. One employee was very intimidating, from comments made (very clear that he was new from New York and did not like his job. (I was “over a barrel” to move and would take what I could get). Said they did not move TV’s for insurance purposes? (Most people have TV’s) 8. I made the mistake of singing off on damage, just to get them the hell out of my house and off the clock. It was getting late, I needed to get beds and basic necessities together and a shower. (In bed at 3AM!) 9. I had already moved over 50% of stuff previous weekend, all kitchen bathrooms, lamps, cords cloths any small stuff.Just pick up furniture here & set down there, not complicated. 10. Spent 80% of move time myself, 11. I (we) Worked very hard to ensure a smooth move that had time constraints and to eliminate pretty much of everything that did happen! 12. Spent the following day moving the rest of what I could get into a pickup, TV’s, dresser drawers etc, myself. 13. Hired piano moved on a Tuesday. 14. Dealt with Gary for over a month just to see if he would follow through with promises of “good faith” refund of the minimum of a 2 hour refund of overcharge estimate, that was a dragging of the feet for higher charge…never happened, gave him four (documented) opportunities to show any integrity at all, in which he flat out lied about the check is “in the mail”. I think it is kind to say with the integrity of this “company”, I have a hard time understanding how they have a license at all?

STAY FAR AWAY. This company is a joke. I had a move scheduled for 11 am on a Thursday. They didn't show up so I just kept packing and cleaning. I finally realized an hour and a half had passed and I hadn't even heard from them. When I called, they had to call around to find the truck. I was then told they couldn't get to me that day but could offer me a free carpet cleaning. I had to be out of my rental by that Sunday and I already had a maid, pest services, and a carpet cleaner scheduled for Friday morning, Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning, respectively. They said they would see if they could fit me in. I had to call them back a couple hours later when I still hadn't heard from them. She said they could probably get me in at 6 pm that day. I asked if the cost would still be hourly; the movers would be tired from already working a full day in the heat and would be moving much slower than a fresh crew. Yes, it still would have been hourly. She said she would call back. I called back a half hour later and miraculously, all of a sudden they could get me in at 8 am the next morning. I feel sorry for whoever got bumped to accommodate me. Well I still hadn't seen or heard from anyone by 8:40 the next morning. Just as I was about to call, the driver called me and said they were on the way. 30 min later, they finally showed. Then he tried to charge me for Friday pricing - more expensive than what it would have been on Thursday!! I made him call central office - no way was I paying more because they didn't show up when I had made an appointment (and received a confirmation 3 days prior) for Thursday! They acquiesced. His explanation of charges was still confusing - more on that later. The truck was not as large as advertised - and had a half open back so they couldn't even fill it the whole way! Fortunately most of my furniture for, but it still took several loads from my boyfriend's pickup truck, my parents' mid size SUVs, my sedan, and leaving a couple things with my neighbor to get all my stuff moved. I will say the guys did a good job layering the furniture with moving pads in the truck. When we arrived to my new house 45 min away, that's when things got worse. I knew I would have to pay them - in cash - before they would unload the truck, but I ended up paying an extra $75 because the guy kept saying I had to pay their return time. That DEFINITELY was not part of the explanation up front, no matter what he tried to say. But at that point, I just wanted my stuff. So I paid him and they moved stuff in. They moved most of the furniture and beds upstairs, but none of the boxes or small pieces (nightstands, bookcases). Part of the deal, which I had confirmed with the central office when the called to confirm my appointment, was that I was going to have them switch out a fridge from the kitchen and garage. When I mentioned it to the movers, he said it was a $50 charge to move any appliances. I think he was just hot and tired and didn't want to. I didn't push my luck - they had already dinged my wall a couple times. So here's the kicker - later that day, the central office called me and asked me how much I had paid the movers!!!! She said the paperwork wasn't clear. I wish I had had my wits about me and asked her how much they had turned in; I was so tired from the move, I just answered her. I guarantee they pocketed that extra $75. So long story short - DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DISHONEST, FLAKY COMPANY!

Initially, I thought that this moving service was going to be great. Be aware of this company and if you are moving into a home, they may try to scam you. I called and the representative was very nice and set my intrastate move up in no time. However, on the day of my move I had to call the office to find out where my movers were. About 20 minutes after I called the office, my movers called to let me know that they were about 10 minutes out. In all, they arrived almost an hour late for the move. The one mover almost made my furniture fall not once, but twice while trying to put it on the truck. It was so bad that I had to hold my furniture for him (a dresser) so that he didn't get injured due to his inability to stabilize it. Once we arrived to my destination, I was charged 5 hours, when at that time I had only used a little over two hours of their time. So, if anything I should've been charged for 3 hours of service total. When I asked to speak to the manager about the pricing, the mover claimed that the CEO hung up on him and refused to speak with me. I could not believe that a CEO would act in that manner. When I called the office myself, I was placed on hold by the lady, Jessicka, and the same mover slammed the ramp for the truck in my driveway and began cursing. Then, he went and got on the phone with his manager and was complaining about having to put $60 in the truck for gas and he needed to get paid. The cursing continued and I let the mover know that I understand that he may have children to take care of or different life situations, but scamming people out of money based on where/how they live was not right and the way he was conducting himself was unprofessional. When I called the office again, the so-called manager got on the phone and would not listen to what I was saying. Paying was not the issue...the issue was I was paying more than I should have been charged for a service. For those who hire this company for their move, be weary of any hidden costs...you are charged for padding, gas, one way travel, the time it takes for them to load/unload the truck and the time it takes them to get back to their destination of origin and clean the truck. If I included all of this, my job should have taken no more than 4 hours max...30 mins to load (we helped and my items were in a storage facility), 1.5 hour drive to destination and 30 mins to unload. Their office is only 15 mins from me so, let's give them another hour for that time to clean the truck. In the end, I would never use this service again nor recommend their services. I was scammed and I hope the mover who was unprofessional did something wonderful with the extra funds received.

***THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER*** (ZERO STAR) I am still moving so this will be a short review but I have to save the next person from this RIP OFF COMPANY. I should have listened to the reviews. The people were so pleasant until they took my money. BEWARE....I was quoted a price of $225 via email but ended up being charged $375 for a small move less than a mile away. I asked beforehand....were there any additional fees and they said "no...we don't charge other fees like our competitors. The "Supervisors" were rude, cursed at me and I don't even curse and hung up on me twice. BEWARE....after being quoted $225 originally, I was charged $375 to get my items off their truck or they threatened to take my stuff back to their warehouse. FORMAL COMPLAINTS PENDING. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS STAY AWAY!

Monster Bash

Unprofessional, late, broke many items, did not have furniture dolly or even gloves for that matter. They never put blankets around anything, they demanded cash only, and overcharged. This is a scam operation with some lazy guys working the trucks. They will try to intimidate you, not a company I would recommend.

Evan Mill

On time and very professional. The contract was discussed as soon as the movers arrived and there were no hidden fees. Everything was very up front. I don't know if all the other bad reviews are real or not but I didn't have one problem with Damion and Camron. Job well done

I had a scheduled move today, as it got closer to the time Precision was supposed to meet me I decided to call to give them my cellphone number so they could reach me if I got lost. Gary at this point tells me that they don't have a leased truck for my move, he pretended to be remorseful and said they could get me moved tomorrow. Well that wasn't the agreement the move was today. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of customer service, I cant imagine what the move would have been like. I called another company and they are Watson moving company, the bent over backwards to assist me. I would never recommend Precision Movers to any one.

WARNING!!!! Do not use this company. Every aspect of their business practice should or could be possibly illegal. If you have any further inquiries regarding this company, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to explain in detail my horrible experience. Also, contact me if you are contemplating taking legal action against them. I will be extremely pleased to vouch for, again, my horrible experience.

Made a last minute decision to hire a moving company. Called precision that morning to check availibikty was told yes they could squeeze me in at 2pm. No one show up called back at 230 stated other job was larger than expected , but still coming would confirm time and call me back. At 530pm no call , called again and then stated may not be able to make it. Finally showed up at 730pm and then stated that it would still be a 2 hour charge and also stated I would be charged until they reach their office. Never use them unprofessional and charged extra fees that were not stated..

Let's talk about how Precision Moving ruined my Christmas. I have to make it quick, though, because due to the time they forced me to waste "attempting" to move, I have to work late into the night to catch up with my Christmas tasks. So, long story, my furniture is in a storage unit in Virginia Beach and I have a nice empty condo in Portsmouth. I just need to get my furniture into it before Christmas Eve so my family will have a place to sit as they eat their Christmas Eve dinner. Oh, and I work. That means the move has to take place on the weekend. Precision Movers agreed to do this for me. Yay! We scheduled the move for 3pm Saturday, three days before Christmas Eve. I was warned that the movers had a job ahead of me but I would be contacted if they were running late, and it wouldn't be later than 4pm. I called the office at 1:30 Saturday to confirm and to see if the movers were on schedule. Yep, on schedule, she said. I arrived at my storage unit at 2:45, expecting to see the moving van pull in at any moment. 3pm arrived, and no mover. At 3:30 I called the office to see what was going on. She didn't know why the mover hadn't arrived or contacted me but said she would call him to find out. A half hour later she called to tell me the mover was running a little late but he was going to call me. Sure enough, about 4:15 he did call. He was on his way, he said. He just had to drive the load he had just picked up in Virginia Beach to Portsmouth, then unload it and go to Chesapeake to pick up another load to bring back to Virginia Beach, then unload it and he would be right over. What? There's no way all that could take less than 3 hours, and he was already 1-1/2 hours late! He wouldn't be there until 7:30pm earliest, more likely 8:30 or 9pm. He asked if I wanted to reschedule for tomorrow, Sunday, at whatever time was most convenient for me. He was very apologetic and polite. I agreed. 2pm Sunday. So I drove back to Portsmouth, slept in my camper because I had no bed in the condo, then returned to Virginia Beach to meet him at 2pm the following day. Guess what? Yep. He didn't show. He didn't call. I called the office at 2:30 and got no answer -- not surprising on a Sunday. But I left a rather impolite message on the voice mail. I left went to do some of the last-minute Christmas preparations I should have been doing during the 4 hours of wasted time the mover had cost me. At 5pm the mover called to apologize. 5pm? Really? Three hours after he was supposed to meet me? I was not interested in hearing whatever trumped up excuse he had to offer, wished him a Merry Christmas and hung up. So, my family will be sitting on the floor to eat their Christmas Eve meal. I did load several boxes of dishes in my car while waiting for the mover, so at least I can cook. And we have a Christmas tree twinkling in the window. I had to buy all new ornaments, though, as my Christmas decorations are in the storage room. Thank you Precision for a Christmas my family will never forget!

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! They stated that they were willing and able to move our household items and would be able to complete the job. The movers broke our items, threw the boxes down the stairs and did not complete the job. Once at our new home the movers threw the boxes into the garage; breaking open the boxes, breaking furniture and not taking care with anything!! I have a six week old baby and need the help I explained this when I called and they stated that they were able to complete the job instead they left more than have our home for me and my husband to finish moving stating that we have to much stuff for them... I tried to speak to Gary the manager and he refused to speak to me and stated " OH WELL, not my problem" I have filled a civil suit against the company, and spoken to the police about the situation. The police have spoken to the company and stated that with a contract they are responsible to complete the job and reimburse for all the broken items. I have taken pictures of the move and the damage and have uploaded them to facebook. I will do whatever it takes to make sure that others are not taken advantage of and Gary understand that this is not how a business is run and to make others understand this company is not willing to do the job and when you have issues or concerns they will not answer the phone or hold up the end of their contract. If you choice this company make sure that you have a good lawyer because you are going to need them. Again I really recommend that you check out the pictures to see for yourself. And understand that being nice to the movers by ordering them pizzas and having plenty of cold drinks will not make your move better. If you don't care about your belongings give this company a call they will make sure everything is broken and thrown around.. Check out the photos they will give you a better picture that what I am saying is truthful or instead call Gary and ask him.

Complete awful service. They showed up 2 hours late and then raised the price that we had been told prior to then getting there. The movers then didn’t get all of our item although we paid them substatually more than expected. We still have an entire storage unit they were supposed to get and did not. And on top of them not completing the job they also managed to scratch every piece of furniture and my leather headboard. Upon explaining our displeasure with their work they movers became irate and even CUSSED AT MY MOTHER. One threatened to quit on the job and got into a shouting match with his boss over the phone. It took far longer than it should’ve to complete the move and for the price we paid I was absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism they displayed. Please do not give your money to this company.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY MOTHER N LAW THAT HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH STAGE 4 CANCER. I'LL BE OPENING UP A LAWSUIT RIGHT AWAY. TOLD HER THAT THEY COULDN'T FIT ALL OF HER APARTMENT IN THE TRUCK AND THEN PACKED THE TRUCK HALF FULL (EXTREMELY POORLY). NOW WE HAVE TO HIRE A SECOND COMPANY TO FINISH MOVING. MANAGER WAS OBNOXIOUS AND A LYING PIECE OF TRASH. THEY REQUIRE YOU PAY CASH SO YOU DON'T CANCEL THE CHECK WHEN YOU FIND OUT HOW BAD EVERYTHING WAS MOVED.

Turner Moore

AWFUL!! I scheduled movers a month ago for two days from now and was just left a voicemail that the move was cancelled. When I spoke with them, they did not offer any kind of consolation and stated that they gave me plenty of time to look elsewhere. No movers in Richmond will be available within 2 days. If I could give this company negative stars, I would.

July 19th 2016 Precision moving company sent two youn African-American young men to my home. My move was scheduled for 8am they arrived after 8am. I called the office before and the woman who answered stated to me that she had just got to the office herself and it takes time. She stated they may be in traffic. I let her know that I understand about traffic I work every day and I leave early enough to allow for that and to make sure I am at work on time. Very RUDE!!! The 2 young men were not Professional at at all. No introduction at all. They had no tools no flat bed no training. They were on their cell phone's I had to tell them that I was paying for a service. He told me he was responding to a text from his boss. One of them was more concerned with doing the job right making sure he was careful but the one with dreads was too fast and didn't care. He tore up my lamp and my living room table is ruined. I am African American too it has nothing to do with race it is about sending the right people to do a job Professionally. They need proper Training ,Proper Uniforms And Mannerism. Some of the managers DO TOO. When I told a nother manager about my placing a review she said it wouldn't matter because they have over 20,000 moves. I want you all to know think before you use this compay. I paid $300.00 for unprofessional people to come late and Destroy my furniture. Never again Precision Movers!!!! God bless you !!

This company doesn't even deserve 1 star!!! Wish I would have read the reviews before my last minute move but hopefully this will help prevent someone else from making the same mistake. Well here goes... 1) Thursday evening I call the company to find out the earliest availability for a move and was informed that there was a 9am open and nothing else for a week. I secure the appointment and was told that I was in the best hands and that they would take care of me. The phone rep even insisted that I get some rest as tomorrow would be a long day. I thought "wow, he really has great customer service skills, maybe I was in good hands." Boy was I wrong! 2) The next morning at 9am, no one shows up or calls. I called them and was informed by a different rep that the team that was suppose to come was on another job and wouldn't be able to come for a couple hours. I was told that they should be at my house by noon. 3) Noon comes, still no movers. I call and she says they haven't made it back to the office yet but when they do she will dispatch them to my home. Remaining calm, I say okay and ask if I would receive any discount for this inconvenience as I had taken off of work to handle the move amongst other things. I was told she would check and let me know. 4) 1pm comes, no movers. 2pm comes, no movers. (Remember I scheduled a 9am move). I call and was told they are on their way. I asked about the discount again and she says that the clock wouldn't start until they got to my home and that they would not compensate me for my inconvenience. I could not believe they were being so insensitive to the fact they wasted my entire day. At 245 they show up but I'm disappointed to see what.... I mean who was sent to my home. I am African American and I love my people, however, the people that were sent to my home looked like young bums off the street. They were wearing regular street clothes, nothing indicating that they were working for a company and did not seem confident at all when going over the contract or in their ability to do the job. I have very expensive furniture and decor and they did not seem prepared to do the job but out of desperation I signed the contract. 5) I show them around and they go outside. After about 10 minutes, I go outside and I see them moving stuff around in the truck and passing a cigarette to one another. Mind you, they are now on the clock and are charging me by the hour. He comes and asks to use my phone to call his manager because the two of them couldn't move my furniture alone and would need some help (why there wasn't at least one phone between the two of them is beyond me). I take the number and call it myself only for the manager to yell at me for calling her cell phone! I'm trying to explain to her that her drivers gave me the number and they wanted to talk to her but she was irate and I couldn't believe that this was how I was being treated. Disgusted, I tell the movers to leave. 6) A couple minutes after hanging up the female rep calls and I explain how upset I am at the entire experience. She apologizes and tells me that the drivers assumed I was trying to do the entire move in two hours (the initial package before being charged by the hour) I told her that I knew it would take longer and that I was prepared to pay the additional fees but they never communicated that concern to me. She asks if I wanted her to send the drivers back and I tell her no and that they are extremely unprofessional and I am very displeased. Promised them I would write a review as well. Please please please listen to these reviews. They are very accurate! Do not waste your time or money with these people.

Not even worth a single star! I wish I had seen the previous review before going with this company. If you don't want to read all of this just take one thing away from this review...absolutely do not set up a move with this company. To start the movers arrived 1 hr and 40 minutes after they were scheduled to start. The gentleman immediately comes in starts telling me about extra fees that were not disclosed while making my appointment. I specifically asked the guy on the phone, "do you want to know what kind of stuff we have or how many rooms? Because most companies have asked." I also told him we rented so the only appliances that were ours were the washer and dryer. They told me the day of the move its an extra $50/appliance. Then he looks around and says, "I'm going to tell you just this (living and dining room) is going to fill up that whole truck" and proposed muiple trips estimating 6-7 hours to move it. I asked him what size truck they had. He said, "I don't know maybe 20 ft.". The $95/hour weekend rate was supposed to come with a 26' truck. This one was actually 18'. I called the company to let them know what was going on as the movers kept informing me "we are just the movers" which I get. The supervisor was so incredibly rude. I get that I was stressed out but he wouldn't let me speak, put me on hold halfway through a sentence, and then texted his movers to just leave. Not knowing what else to do and needed my belongings moved I asked them to stay and got the supervisor back on the line. He continued to be rude, cut me off while speaking, and was extremely insulting. The movers told me they could just see what they could take in one trip so I asked them to take all of the furniture because that would be hardest for me to move. They constantly stopped to tell me what they were putting in the truck next. When you're working by the hour just do it! the only furniture item I told them to leave upstairs was a queen bed. He came to me downstairs and told me the only furniture left was a bookshelf and a tv stand downstairs. He said he could only fit one and asked which is more important. I said the bookcase. They loaded it up and followed me to the new house. When we got there we were less than 2 hours in. He told me my total was for 4 hours. I questioned this. Unloading the items on the truck should have take 20 min at the most. That would have put us at 2 hours and 5 min. My husband and I had to unload half the stuff ourselves. When they left the mover was talking about the company taking money out of his check for charging me for three hours only. The move with the size truck they brought took 2 hrs and 15 min. That gave them 45 minutes to get the truck back before we hit three hours abs potentially went into 4. The supervisor already told me they were in Chesapeake. From our house there is nowhere you can go in Chesapeake and have it take 45 min at that time of day on a weekend. I asked for the address of the company where the truck is returned. He said, "I can't he's not going to want you to know that". Because it was probably 10 min down the road. They wanted to charge for the 45 minutes I had left in my 3rd hour AND charge me for a 4th. Shady. And all payments must be done in cash. Worst experience of my life. They completely ruined the fun of moving into our first home. On top of all that they left a huge headboard, a cabinet, and three bookcases upstairs after telling me they had only those two pieces of furniture left. So now I have to get a moving truck anyway and do it all myself. Complete waste of $400.

I hired these movers just to move stuff out of a trailer into a house. I even made it easy and all of the boxes stayed downstairs except for bed sets. Multiple reasons not to hire: - as soon as they got on the job they were complaining, never even introduced themselves -They came to move stuff with pants half around there behinds. I don't care what someone does on their own time but you don't go into someone else's house like that. -The move was supposed to start at 2 didn't start till 315. -they only worked 2.5 hours and charged for a full 3 -my husband and I did most of the work as they were slow and had no inclination to at least speed up -they slid our brand new table on the bottom of the trailer. There are many more reasons not to hire. Make sure to really research before you choose these guys.

Do not use this company! Precision Moving. Destroyed 2 expensive pieces of our furniture. They left moving blankets in a stack unused. They stacked wood chairs on top of a wood table deeply gouging both the chairs and table. They did not use blankets while moving a dresser down the stairs and put 6 deep scratches into the dresser. They stacked boxes marked "fragile" at the bottom of box stacks instead of at the top. Many of our fragile items are broken. The owner Karl hangs up on me when I call and will not remedy this problem. DO NOT USE them, you'll regret it!!!!!!!
