(also posted on yelp) From first contact Chris was right on the ball. He answered my questions and came over the next day to give us a quote. *His quote came in 2/3 lower than all the quotes I got* On moving day, he showed up with one person and did the work the other companies claimed would take 4 people. They handled our furniture with care, deftly navigating large pieces through tight spaces with only a moment's planning. In other words, they know what they are doing and we were not paying for them to stand around trying to figure out how to move our furniture. They worked through from the moment they arrived to the moment they left and didn't waste a moment of time. When they bill came, it was lower than the quote because they worked so efficiently. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon, but if I do, they will be my first call. In the mean time, I'll recommend them anyone who needs moving help -- they were that good.

We were in the final mile of packing and moving prior to the close of our house when we realized we simply didn't have time to pack all of our belongings on the very tight timeline we were on to meet our closing date. Fortunately, a friend of our daughter's found University Moving Services and was able to reach Richard. When I was able to speak with Richard about and hour later, I didn't have high hopes because it was mid-day on a Saturday and we needed to have everything packed into the trailer by end of day Sunday. Richard assured me that he could accommodate us, and provided us with a quote that I thought was very reasonable given the circumstances. While we had a few miscues with the crew getting started the next day due to factors beyond anyone's control, Richard's team did get started mid-day on Sunday and were completely finished loading a three-bedroom house by 6 PM. The crew was professional, personable, respectful, and took great care to pack our belongings properly. The entire process helped eliminate a world of stress for me and my wife, and it was all thanks to Richard and his team. If you need help moving call University Moving Services. You'll be glad you did.

These guys don’t even deserve one star. Buyer beware! They insisted that I call or email them the day before to confirm that I was still ready for them to arrive on the day of the move. After several phone calls, emails and texts, I have heard nothing from the original contact, Richard Knopf. Moving is stressful enough. Not knowing if your movers will show up Is just unacceptable and cruel. I was able to find last-minute movers on the day of. Great luck for me! Do not use this company! I can’t stress this point enough!

University Moving Services provided a great moving experience. We had to move the date of our move by 10 days due to a delay in closing on the sell of our house. Chris did a wonderful job in communicating with us and we were able to change the date of our move without major issues. Chris and his crew showed up exactly on time and moved our household in record time. The service was excellent and the price was more than fair. Sometimes I have shopped around for a better price but the difference in price never compensates for poor service or disregard for our belongings. I would definitely choose Chris and his company again for any future moves.

We had to book a move last minute at the end of August, which is the busiest moving time. We were out of the country at the time but Richard was able to communicate with us throughout the whole process. The day of the move Chris and Jesse arrived and were beyond friendly and professional. The move took a lot less time then we thought and every time a moving issue arose (as they always do) they quickly jumped to solve it. The price was right and we would recommend them to everyone.
