Employees are thieves. I left a Bluetooth speaker in the truck when I returned it and it was stolen during cleaning - called back and the person on the phone told me they didn't find anything in the truck. Do not trust this location, I wouldn't rent from them again.

When picking the truck up, nobody told me that opening the bag in the back of the truck will cost me money. Apparently, there are 6 furniture pads in there, and when you open the zipper a seal will be broken. I opened the bag out of curiosity, and never used the pads. I even didn't notice breaking any seals, and I'm not sure if there was any. Anyhow, they charged me for that, and when I was trying to solve the problem with talking to their associate, he was not polite at all, and he insisted that we told you about this, and you didn't hear it. I have my contract, and this item is not highlighted while some other ones are, as the person giving the truck was talking about it and highlighting. I don't think that they expect me to sit and read all the contract items the day I am moving. Other things were pretty straightforward, and I didn't have to deal with the people. It was just the truck, which was fine!

One star is generous. We made a reservation, and received a confirmation. They informed us two days before we were scheduled to move (with movers scheduled to arrive on Sunday am) that they did not have a truck. Fortunately, Penske did and was extremely accommodating. Penske may be more expensive, but at least they provide the service you reserve with them!

I rented one way from Pa to move my son to Burlington, so all we had to do was drop off here, but it was quick and easy to do so. Unfortunately we left a couple of things in the truck (a coat and a bag) and when I called them about it the first person on the phone said we had to come back to pick them up. We wouldn’t be in the area again for 2 month! When I asked to talk to the manager, he went above and beyond, walking me through the fed ex website and helping me navigate it to arrange for a pick up that day! He boxed up my forgotten stuff and it arrived today! Great customer service!!

I had a good experience my first time around with this location. Moving at the beginning of June is a busy time in a college town. I was pleased, I don't get the truck I wanted for the time I needed it. But I was able to get something for the 1st for a full 24 hours. And it was pretty easy

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS U-HAUL LOCATION!!! Let me tell you a story. This story starts back in May of 2013. I had a reservation with U-Haul to move apartments in Burlington, which happens on a very strict timeline as anyone who rents apartments in Burlington knows. I had only one day where I had to leave an apartment because the lease ended and the new one was starting... so I was really relying on U-Haul to not mess up my "confirmed" truck reservation. Unfortunately, on the day of the move, U-Haul told me they did not have any available vehicles, despite me having reserved one weeks before. They really complicated that move and made my experience extremely negative. Now this is the worst part. I am a very forgiving person, and since that day back in 2013, I have tried to give U-Haul another chance...on two separate occasions! I called their phone number both times, and was put on hold each time I called. As insane as this sounds, they hung-up on me both times!!!! The first time it happened (May 2014) I tried calling back and was playing phone tag with a manager for a while. Eventually I gave up. The second time (which was today), I just decided to give up on this company and booked a truck with Penske. It is much more affordable and I was able to get a One-Way truck rental with UNLIMITED miles--making my move much more affordable. This U-Haul franchise really does not know how to run a business and deserves to go out of business due to the way they treat their customers. Beware if you book with them, and expect it to not work out. I recommend Penske instead. All those times U-Haul messed up, Penske came to my rescue.

I would NEVER use this store again! Booked a truck and trailer online a month prior to the reservation and someone from the store inputted our contact phone number wrong so when we show up on moving day they tell us they have no truck. They never attempted to contact us via email to tell us they didn’t have the truck. The manager, Greg Thompson, was very rude and never apologized for the fact that they couldn’t hold the reservation and failed miserably at letting us know ahead of time. I strongly urge you to be extremely diligent and call this store (multiple times) in advance if you do use them and confirm they will be able to hold your reservation. We called a week prior to confirm our reservation, yet they still follow through.

U-Haul does not guarantee pick up and drop off location. It is in the *Terms and Conditions* but not on any easy to find FAQ or in your order confirmation. I booked 4 months ago for pick up and drop off at the Burlington location. They called me three days prior to pick up and confirmed my pick up and drop off location 100 South of Burlington for both of the trailers I reserved. I would have had to driven 1600 miles just to pick up both trailers and drop them both back off for my move out and move in dates.

I had a great experience with this location. I had to change my first reservation to a different day and was able to accomplish that with no trouble. They were very polite and professional over the phone. On the day of my rental, the customer service was excellent, my truck was very clean, and returning it was a breeze. I have no complaints. Will definitely use this location again!

I own a local moving company, so i understand that things get busy reservations can be mixed up etc. However, Uhaul of Burlington has always helped me out in a pinch and are some honest hard working people

I found the people here very busy but helpful and informative. Unfortunately the trailer was useless for us because while it is claimed 6X12 the ramp and rear opening are only 5 feet. Our item, a large lawn mower, could not be made to fit. It should be made clearer in the ads that the tailgate is only 5 feet wide.

Totally unsatisfied! These guys are anything but kind. First you go, expecting your payment to be 19.95 plus the fuel price. But, they don't work like that. They charge you for using your credit card ( which they did not mention at all ), then they charge you for some kind of 'environmental fee' (basically you're paying because they are taking care of the environment. Good for you u-haul, but why do people have to pay for that?), then they charge you $0.59 for every mile. We came in took the van for 45mins, went 9 miles in it and paid $30. That's is really far away from that starting $19.95. Extremely bad customer service including everything else!

The owner manager is the RUDEST man I have EVER dealt with. TERRIBLE customer service. The woman I spoke with was friendly and helpful, but I would advise everyone to steer clear of the Riverside U Haul location. Mr. Holcomb yelled at me on the phone and left a threatening voice mail message because he wanted to re route my truck to his drop off location, but I wanted to stick with my original drop off location. I plan on filing a complaint with U Haul, but they probably don't care. Do yourself a favor....rent from somewhere else.

Be warned before trusting your personal belongings with this company. 1) Waited two hours for a scheduled Uhaul pickup because the store manager said his team "must have forgot" to get our equipment set up the night before. 2) Drove our rented Uhaul loaded with two U Boxes back to our home (an hour away) only to find that one of the U boxes was locked with a padlock. Store manager instructed us to break into the U box (which consisted of us spending another hour trying to figure out how to cut a padlock) only to find it full of another customer's belongings!!! 4) Were again instructed by the store manager to remove the other customer's belongings and put them in a separate box and they would "figure it out." We are honest people and cannot express how uncomfortable we were with breaking into someone's private storage unit and moving their things!!! 3) Clearly, we contacted corporate after this entire situation occurred to explain the problem and seek reconciliation. Corporate was extremely helpful and understanding of this appalling situation. However, in the meantime received multiple inappropriate emails from the store manager attempting to intimidate us, stating that nothing would be done for us because this is his store and he has the final say. We even discovered the store manager was logging into corporate's computer system and deleting their notes about our complaint! I cannot express how insecure I feel to have this company handling my belongings. I am in utter shock at how this business is run. Please beware before using their services.

I attempted to rent a truck for moving the other day. The first person I talked to took about fifteen minutes to get me a reservation, only to express confusion when the system wouldn't accept it. She transferred me to another employee who took twenty minutes. We got further along with the reservation, but the system still apparently wasn't taking it. I was forwarded to the manager who told me that the system wasn't taking reservations because they were booked up for that day. Their system's ten kinds of messed up if it lets you make reservations but won't let you complete them without saying why, and the manager or at least their communication skills are similar amounts of messed up if employees under the manager don't even know that they're booked on certain days.

Location is incredibly cramped. Nearly impossible to get trucks in and out. Uhaul Corporate only sends trucks to this location almost exclusively though so good luck getting one in the size you want anywhere else.

I was visiting Burlington VT on vacation and had to get my hitch replaced prior to returning back. The staff at Burlington Uhaul went to extraordinary lengths to obtain the hitch, install the hitch, even though there was some issues with the truck frame and all in time for my return trip to PA. I have nothing but praise for the staff at Burlington Uhaul.

I made reservations to rent a U-haul truck almost 6 weeks in advance for an athletic event our organization produces. I received an email confirmation shortly afterward. Within two days of the reservation time, I received a phone call saying I couldn't rent the vehicle. I asked to speak to the manager and he said I couldn't rent the vehicle because they were extremely busy and didn't want to spare the truck. He said that if he rented to me, they would lose too much money because we would tie it up for four days. I refused to back down since we had confirmed reservations and the manager finally gave in and rented to us. He then told me not to rent from them for the following time next year. He won't have to worry, because I will never rent again from them.

I made reservations over the phone to rent a 6x12 trailer. When I arrived to pick up the trailer I was asked, are you here for trailer. I replied yes and was instructed to go inside and complete the rental agreement. While in line the same employee employee came in and said he needed me to to come out and hook up the trailer. I backed the truck to where he instructed me and as he pulled the trailer to to my receiver he informed me that the trailer would not fit my ball, it was too large, I asked if they had a solution that would work and he replied that I would have to buy a ball and receiver for $25. When I asked if they had a loaner I could use and then return with the trailer he quickly snapped that they don't do that. Since I was there and had people waiting for me I agreed to buy the $25 ball and receiver. He went in the store and came out with the part and as he was putting it on my truck. I made a comment that it would have been nice to know what size ball would work when i was making the reservation for the trailer. He did not look at me or respond to the question until I asked again. He stood up and responded with "I didn't take the call and it was out of his control" I responded with it would have been nice to know as I would have had the correct ball for the trailer. He quickly and angrily responded with "are you giving me an attitude" My response was, "well...a little". He proceeded to remove the ball and declared he was not going to rent me the trailer and to leave because he didn't need attitude from me. I asked him to just put the part back on and I'll be on my way. He refused so I asked to speak with the manager and he informed me that it was him. I asked for his name (Austin Hamlin) so I could voice my complaints with the owner and corporate office. I hope U-haul will stand by my complaint and deal with this manager appropriately. I will never use this business again!!!

The staff of knowledgeable and very helpful. The best rental deal in town, partly because it's in Williston and a bit out of the way. But, you can leave your car here during your rental day. Trucks are well-maintained and clean. We used this U-Haul a lot when we had just moved to the area and believe we found a reliable rental truck store. Highly recommended!

I used this u-haul location when my truck was in the shop and I needed a pickup. It was cheaper than renting from a regular rental car place and the staff there had me in and out in no time. I would definitely use this place if I ever need to rent a truck again.

What a great experience! Both pickup and return were done professionally and quickly. When I returned the truck that I rented, I was greeted by Justin who asked the pertinent questions and then inside Leyla listened and resolved the minor issue that I had. I will definitely returning if I need a rental and recommend U-Haul of Burlington to my friends.

My girlfriend and I rented a U-Haul truck in upstate NY to move to Burlington in June, and we paid for the truck for a one-way rental and accepted the truck with a half tank of fuel. After the move, we dropped the truck off at U-Haul of Burlington over night. About a month later we received the credit card statement and noticed that they charged us an additional $68.88 which we were not expecting. When I called to ask what the charge was related to, I found out that it was for additional mileage as well as $13 in fuel and a $30 service charge for them to have to put the extra fuel in. When renting the truck in NY, we were told to leave the truck at a half-tank (which we did, precisely) and that we were covered in mileage as it was unlimited in the price. I then spoke with the manager, Rian, and told him that we definitely left the truck at a half tank of gas and that we were disputing the charges. He told me that he was new to the company, but would get back to me...he told me that they would likely give me a credit towards future usage of another truck. Two days later he called and rudely explained how "his people don't make mistakes on fuel levels" and told me that "we have made our decision and you won't be receiving a refund or credit". This left me in a very tough spot because we knew that we left the fuel at the correct level and were told that our mileage was covered. The end of his conversation had him telling me that he wasn't going to work with me on any accounts and that I was out of luck. I then contacted U-Haul corporate and explained my case to them, and through discussion with their customer service, I received a full refund. If anyone is in need of a moving truck in the Burlington, Vermont area, I highly recommend using a different company. There are a number of other U-Haul locations in the area and it would be wise to use their services instead. My experience proves that they are playing games with the fuel levels to pocket a few extra bucks from unassuming customers.

Significantly understaffed on memorial day weekend. This is one of the biggest rental weekends. There is only one person here and people have been waiting over an hour. There's no sense of urgency by the one employee, and he hasn't called the manager for help. I can't say I would recommend coming here.

Such a pleasant and professional experience! I was nervous about the 5x8 being able to fit everything I needed and instead of talking me into the much more expensive trailer the general manager reassured me I would be fine. I have a couch, a queen bed, and a large chair and ottoman and they all fit wonderfully! I couldn't be happier with my experience.

Justin and Leyla are awesome. They went out of their way to help me out. It was raining very hard the night I needed a truck. It was also the busiest time of the year, the end of the school year. Everything was booked except for a pickup truck. They worked with so I could have a van for a few hours to move expensive furniture and clothing. Thanks to them, nothing got ruined in the move.

Generally friendly staff that seems to do the best they can within the system they have. Uhaul's rental system has been known to be hit or miss depending on where they are pulling vehicles from and especially at the end of the month. That being said, the staff does everything they can to help out to make things easier on everyone.

My wife purchased a 2" tow hitch receiver and wire package complete with install from them for her SUV. When she went to pick it up they had installed a 1 1/4" receiver instead! She asked them to replace it with what she had purchased, and they challenged her by asking what she would be using it for and saying they would rather just leave it. Luckily they record their customer service calls because they were able to play back her ordering the item and service for her right there and it clearly shows she asked for and they agreed to do a 2" receiver. The confirmation email had the correct part as well, but the clowns working there just took it upon themselves to install an inferior part. Furthermore, because she is a female we assume they told her she didn't need the better one when she pointed out the issue. This place is a ripoff and enjoys trying to scam people. We think we know how they select their preferred victims, but I will leave that for speculation.

We were set up up with our box and sent on our way quick. They have pull through lanes which makes picking up boxes convenient and relatively hassle free. The box itself was it good working condition, and the guys took the time to make sure all light and signals were working properly before we signed the agreement for the box. Overall, a good customer experience.

Very negative experience with Burlington Uhaul. I reserved a van early this week. As I was ready to pick it up, I'm informed that there is no reservation. After being on hold and disconnected twice, I'm told that there is a van available at a different location. No one offered any help and salespeople spoke over me and were rude. I would not use them again. There are plenty of other rental places available. Don't go here.

Just went in to buy some boxes. Was greeted immeadiatly and offered assistance. Extremely helpful. Quinton explained all of my options. He was as friendly helpful and professional as anyone could hope for. Again, I was just buying boxes but was treated like I was the most important customer ever. Great job.

I have rented from U-Haul several times for the price at times when I have flexibility knowing that even though I have reserved a truck it might not be there. Often the employees are very rude and I have always had a long wait. Some are nice, but it is a crapshoot. Once the truck I picked up was filthy and I had to completely clean out soil and garbage. However, when I returned it with a few pieces of grass from the move, I was told it had to be swept OR they would charge me. They wouldn't lend me a broom. Once I reserved a truck for 24 hrs and they called me an hour before I picked it up to tell me I could only have it for two hours. There is no parking on site for your vehicle at there are at other rental places. If I don't have flexibility, I don't rent from UHaul.
