OK I will try writing this in a nuetral way, then you make your own decision.
1) They got "lost" coming to my house because they encountered a covered bridge. They billed me for this time, even though they should have known their route.
2) The time I was billed for them to get to my house was DOUBLE what google maps says. The other moving company I hired took almost exactly the same time as what google maps says. Make your own assumption from that.
3) This is hotly debated, but they showed up totally panicked and crazy, and pissed off. Why? I did not get the town or anyone else to sand an area leading up to my driveway. That was my bad. However, when I offered to get it sanded he said he couldnt make it to my house anyway and needed to come back with a smaller truck. Yet they keep telling me I "breached" the contract by not sanding and the $600 they billed me was justified. The whole move was ultimately cancelled because they could not make it around the tight turns near my house. I believe they could have done some research on their trip and they could have made better decisions as to what size truck to bring.
4) Here is a copy from an email from the mover, this is how they talk to people:
"We are asking that you remove the untrue review in order to avoid immediate legal action. (see contract)" So this is how they handle bad reviews, with threats.
"...Just talking to you during this time I realized you were being dishonest and frugal" (And I paid them $600 to not move me, how frugal am I?)
" ...at the Dunkin Donuts... was that you I waved to in the brown hat, next to me at the light, as you covered your face?"
Really? So it seems the mover was attempting to confront me the day after I cancelled the actual move, and he makes a point to tell me I was hiding from him. What do you think he is trying to say here, that I should watch my back at the local D&D?
Look, I'm sure these guys do a good job for some people. The leader panicks and screams and his team, and he is extremely pushy and stresses out. Maybe that was because he cant handle adversity, but this guy is super high stress and confrontational. The other movers I hired were calm, content, knew their route, they even gave me a break on the price. Tydans told me I breached the contract by not sanding, charged me 100% and took abosulutely no responsibility for going the wrong way, using a truck that was too big to fit around the corners near my house, and then proceeded to threaten me with legal action if I didnt take down my post.
So you make your own decision, this is what happened to me when I hired Tydans Movers.
