This is a little late, but I hired you folks to load a 14' truck for me a couple of weeks ago in Fletcher, VT. I originally booked this for 4 hrs. Two young guys showed up and frankly I was skeptical. I was expecting two big burly guys to load the furniture and boxes. Well, color me pleasantly surprised. Matt and John did an absolutely masterful job and did it in under 2 hours. Nothing shifted, nothing broken (we drove to VA). They were courteous, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Grunts Move Junk and would have absolutely no qualms about hiring them in the future. Thank you guys for a job well done! I couldn't have been more pleased with my Grunts Move Junk experience. The two young men who did all the "grunt work" arrived on time, were extremely courteous, careful of my possessions, and highly efficient. Household items that included a queen-sized bed as well as items stored in my cellar and garage were hauled away . Furniture, including sofas and desks, was moved from one floor to another, and a sectional workbench relocated from my cellar out to my garage. Work that I expected would take many hours to accomplish was completed within just two hours and my final cost was very reasonable. Should the need arise I would not hesitate to use this service again and definitely recommend GMJ to all.

The guys got here ahead of time. It was potentially a tough move as I needed to get a nearly 9 foot cabinet upstairs but it was too big to actually go up the steps. They quickly assessed the situation and brought it up over an upstairs balcony. They were here for about 20 minutes job done. Very friendly and efficient. I will definitely use them again. really one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. I wanted to have a great experience and be able to recommend my friends and colleagues - but instead I was told the bad experience was my fault- I owed three times the amount estimated and to pay up. after two days of discussion and shared Concerns my amount due was sent to collections and I've been told that this is all the customers fault. I will never recommend or use grunts again. I am sure to share my story and give people the number to morways or booskas. really stressful and upsetting and I wish I would have made a different choice.

Very impressed with these guys! They offered to come a day earlier than originally scheduled because they had the extra manpower, and they arrived on time and ready to get to work. Mitch arrived first and started the job with great enthusiasm and a "can do anything" attitude, which is great to see when you hire someone to work on your house! Their task was to remove large boxes full of construction debris (old wall plaster, lath, plywood and gypsum board) from the cellar of my house, as well as a random assortment of no longer needed items (paint cans, an old oil furnace burner, drywall scraps, old garden hoses, old dehumidifier, air conditioner - you name it, they took it) I'm very pleased with the now cleared-out cellar of my home and so glad I chose the Grunts to do the work. Two men spend eight hours working non-stop clearing heavy brush clearing over six feet wide of space behind three houses. I never seen two people work harder for eight hours in my life. The "grunts" were half an hour early and had my stuff loaded in 45 minutes. They introduced themselves and were careful with everything. On the unload they even assisted my mom (who is awaiting a knee replacement) unload her car into the elevator as she had a few heavy/bulky items. I highly recommend the 'grunts' and will definitely hire them again when another move is necessary. (Moving isn't fun but they made it very easy).

Outstanding moving experience! My mother was downsizing into a senior apartment, and we were putting about as much content into a nearby storage unit because she wasn't sure what she would end up wanting in the apartment. We scheduled only a couple of weeks ahead of time due to turmoil on our end. The truck and two grunts arrived at the appointed time. They loaded the truck in just over an hour, sensibly putting in first the things for the storage unit, then the apartment. Things came out of the truck in the reverse order, first at the apartment, then again at the storage unit. Nothing was damaged, nor any walls or doorways nicked on either end. The entire operation was finished in 2.5 hours. Even adding in the travel time from St. Albans to the Montpelier area, we paid for 4.5 hours, handily beating the original estimate substantially. We had picked Grunts because my sister, who has lived in St. Albans and Swanton for many years, had used them before, and boy would we again!

My husband and I recently hired two men to help us pack up a moving truck on Bronson Road in Saint Albans (Oct.26). I was completely overwhelmed with the task, but these 2 men went straight to work configuring the best placement and arrangement of all of our items. We had arranged for them to help in the morning and when they saw that we had a ways to go to complete the job, they offered to come back in the evening. I would not recommend this company. Grunts Move junk pursued me doggedly after I requested information. I received weekly phone calls to book my appointment. Once the appointment was booked, the day they were to arrive, I received a call stating they would be late. They arrived an hour and a half late. Both grunts were courteous and worked hard. The time allotted due to their late arrival did not allow for a full job of packing my moving trailer. Many things were left out. The blankets to use for proper packing of fragile items were not used and when the trailer was unpacked on the other end, several items were damaged. I emailed pictures of the damage and asked for some type of compensation. I was told it was not their fault and I should attempt to get damages collected through the carrier. Overall, I had an unpleasant and costly experience using Grunts Move Junk. I found them pushy upfront and not willing to be accountable for their mistakes. Overall, a disappointment.

Grunts need to stay away from packing moving trucks. We were upfront at what was going to be loaded. My husband had already left for NC the day the Grunts came and loaded the truck. Same exsperiance as the other move posted. They loaded the box of moving blankets after I had seperated them from the other boxes in the garage. The trailer was equipted with drop down shelves, which I had already pulled down 3 and loaded some delicate items on. They disregarded any suggestions that I made. They would remind me that they do this all of the time. Maybe if the one in charge wasn't on his cell the entire time worried about another job he could of been more effective on exacuting this one. We are re'tired USMC and moved with 3 children all of there stuff in a 23 ft truck and never left anything behind. Was to be 4 hours turned out to be 7 hours.The one in charge constantly complaining when he thought that I wasn't aware of it. 5 pm they were ready to leave represented me with an $800. Bill $300 more than what was quoted. I questioned it and I was charged 700. I wish I could down load picture. It was a mess, the only thing I kept hearing you have a box that can't have anything stacked on it. Remember the shelves that pulled down. My brand new wash machine turned on it's side on top of a TV cabinet, water dripping out of it onto the cabinet. We do not have cheap stuff never the less our property was disregarded and handle very poorly.There's more they left me with a poorly loaded truck which my concerns were disregarded even when I called and explained that the trailer was being picked up early in the morning and it's wasn't packed correctly several items weren't loaded. First I took pictures then my friend and I pulled out the mess off the truck to get to the wash machine that was dripping all over our tv cabinet I will put a brand name to this cabinet the ladies will understand my pain Broyhill tapistry which is pretty much all of our collection. I called Grunts several times to get them back and they wouldn't return my calls. Our daughter called one of her friends to help me unload the trailer and reload it. I am 5 ft under 100lbs and in my 50's. Our daughter's friend left school early which was over 30 miles away at 730 at night to come help me. When she seen what I was left with she called the owner ASAP and sent him the pictures that I had taken. That's when a crew came back and tried to reload the truck again, I had suggested reloading the entire truck since we had 3 pieces that wasn't loaded and since the back was a mess nothing pointed to the rest of the truck being loaded correctly of course I was disregarded. I even had pulled down more shelves before they arrived to help guide them. There was one of the loaders that did make a comment on the trailer he liked the set up. The back of the trailer did get reloaded with disregard of our property. The mattress had slipped out of the plastic and now an $1800. Destroyed the dryer was stacked on top of the wash machine (glass top) destroyed the glass didn't shatter brand new. Antique roll top desk that has servided many moves huge scratches down the drawers which I pointed the scratches out to the original loaders. We still left items behind. My advice to you is when a 20 year VET is telling you how to load a large piece listen to them. If any time this review has a request to review pics of the mess I Will be happy to share.

These guys showed up with a great attitude in the pouring rain. We needed to get through the final push of cleaning out a house for a closing the next day. This was the perfect solution. We had already spent weeks cleaning out the house, and we didn't have the time or energy to get through the final push. Grunts Move Junk brought us to the finish line. And not only that, but we know some of the items they took will be re-purposed for future use by people who need them. Highly recommend!

Me and my mom used grunts earlier this week and it was a bad choice. 2 untrained guys showed up late. They damaged furniture and my walls and door casings. Tried to see what they could do and we couldn’t talk to anyone that knew anything. Bad movers and bad customer service. Grunts may move junk but I wouldn’t let them around anything else. Grunts is junk if you ask me.

I had a bunch of stuff to go from the garage & a few items from the house. Mowers, furniture, cardboard, and a couple small appliances. They called ahead, came earlier than the set time, and I think it was only 15 minutes until they were done. Amazing! Friendly, fast, and easy to work with, if I had better wifi signals out here, I would've even had my e-invoice before they left. It was WELL worth the price and I can recommend them for anyone. Grunts most definitely earned four stars for the difficult job of removing an exceedingly heavy and cumbersome object from our basement laundry room. Carpet protection covering for their shoes, in this case, however would have been appreciated. Will certainly call upon the Grunts whenever the need arises. Kara gave me a clear estimate so I had a rough idea how much it would be (it came very close), The guys (Morgan and Isaac) called me in the a.m. to let me know when they would be arriving. Hands down a super group of gentlemen! Hard workers, excellent communicators, unfailingly positive attitudes. I would recommend them in a heartbeat or less. Our project was vacating the main floor of our public library for renovations, and then moving it all back in 3 weeks later. It was not an easy task. They packed our entire collection of books while keeping the loosely tagged organizational system intact, brought everything to a storage unit tackling snow on the ground, cold weather and an inaccessible loading dock upon arrival at storage. They just moved our boxes back in today, seamlessly!

Matt and Lucas were amazing. They were not only on time but early, but not before making sure it was ok they were early. They were polite, determined and ready to help in ANY way. They were efficient and worked hard up and down the flights of stairs. They were masters of 3d tetris when it came to stuffing everything into my storage space. I'm no shill, just look at my reviews, I either love or hate and I post with my real name, these guys are the real deal. They only issue I have is with the online booking, it never seemed to register and I heard nothing back, so I called. So be careful if you don't hear anything back, and well just call, and you will get lovely assistance!

I never write reviews, but I was so exceptionally annoyed after my experience with their service that I feel like I have to as a caution. I was moving across town and did most of it myself, but I had a long couch in my third floor apartment that I didn't want to get trashed, so I figured I'd hire a service. Googled local moving companies, saw Grunts Move Junk had good reviews, and called to inquire. They quoted $160.00 for a single couch to be moved across town (~3 miles). Seemed pricey but I figured it was worth it if I could preserve my $1000.00, one year old couch. Two movers show up on time and they were nice enough guys, but in the process of moving the couch got completely trashed. Torn upholstery on the front where they slid it along stair rails, cushions and upholstery set down and mashed into the dirty floor/ground while pivoting around corners, etc. I also wound up doing the same amount of work as they. The couch got trashed to the point that I didn't even want it anymore and at one point one of the movers had the gall to say "Well, we'll just take the couch and you won't have to pay us the fee if you don't want it." The $1000.00 dollar couch that they trashed they'll take off my hands for free. Seriously? Once we got the thing out to their truck, they just threw it on a greasy, dusty blanket for the trip across town. Bottom line, if you have nice stuff you don't want trashed, do not use this service. If you have trash that needs hauling or stuff that can get banged up, then they're probably fine. EDIT (IN RESPONSE TO REPLY FROM COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE): Yeah, everything that you said happened in your response didn't actually happen. I know because I was there and had to step in and do most of the work myself since one of your guys was not capable. They did not inform me it wasn't going to fit into the elevator and they did not inform me that it wasn't going to fit into the stairs. Ask yourself how the couch got up there in the first place (without damage, by the way) if it couldn't fit into the elevator or up the stairs. The movers that delivered the couch didn't teleport it.

The Grunts are true Heroes to our family. Bart, Josh, Matt and Chris put a swing set together for my children a few days ago. It was hot, muggy and rainy. They showed up smiling and finished the tedious job still smiling.
