I had a wonderful experience with RMM. They showed up right on time and were very professional and fast. They took great care with my things, and didn't blink an eye when my roommate's moving company also showed up and started moving all of his stuff. They were patient as I figured out where they should park at my new apartment complex. Once there, they moved everything in and helped me set up my bed frame. They accidentally scratched some paint off of my apartment door with my couch, but they made sure to cut me a check for it so that my apartment complex could re-paint it. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future!

The movers we're nice enough, and did a good job, but they did damage our couch. The company sent someone by to "look" at it. He showed up with a toolbox and an attitude like I was just trying to get money out of the company. I hadn't planned on all the time he needed to work on it and run to Home Depot and back, since I had just come from work long enough for him to take a look. After he"fixed" the couch, I had to replace the screws he used with ones that were the right size and wouldn't tear the upholstery. Summary: good company, as long as you don't have to deal with damaged furniture.

Awful Company they definitely care about your money in their pocket and nothing else. They have reckless drivers that don't pay attention and park in a red zone in front of a Fire Hydrant. They broke a grate in road and because we did not have a picture of them parking in the red zone they would not fix it. I can only imagine that if they BROKE your COUCH, OR CHINA OR ANY OTHER item while moving they would want a picture of the item in the employee's hands for proof. Even then they proably will not replace or fix the item. IF YOU WANT BROKEN STUFF ROCKY MOUNTAIN MOVERS ARE YOUR NEXT MOVING COMPANY. Good luck if you go with them, you will need it.

We have used Rocky Mountain Movers before, not for a move but to empty the house for full painting and carpeting, they did a great job then so we of course called them for a bid. The bid seemed very fair for a move of about 12 miles. They estimated the number of boxes we would need and also recommended how to approach the packing and preparing for the move. On the day of the move the 3 man crew arrived and worked very hard to empty the house. We ended up with less to move because of sold furniture and appliances so when they finished unloading at the new home it was quick and as was promised, the bill was less because they took less time. We couldn't have been more pleased with the terrific job they did. They moved it all with no damage, including the 80 year old Baby Grand Piano. Thanks to the crew for their excellent hard work!! Recently hired Rocky Mountain Movers to move from the top floor of our 1-bedroom condo building to a new house and couldn't have been more pleased with their service. The three-person crew took a total of 3 hours: that included the time driving to and from the moving locations, which was amazingly fast given that they had to carry everything (dozens of boxes, furniture, mattresses, etc.) down 3 flights of stairs, drive across town (approximately 15 miles), and unload. It would have taken my spouse and I at least an entire day (or more) to do the same work. The crew was friendly, efficient, and I would recommend them if you're considering hiring movers. We had everything that needed to be in boxes ready to go when they arrived, which I'm sure helped speed up the process. Also, the crew was very careful with the items we labeled as fragile or breakable, and nothing was damaged during the move.

We had Rocky Mountain do a 2 part move for us. Once into a storage shed while a new home was being constructed and then about 18 months later when the home was finished. We ended up missing about 12 to 15 boxes of belongings. Where they ended up is anyone's guess. In the first move to the storage facility, we had 3 of their large box trucks crammed full, however, when they showed up to the new house 18 months later, 2 of the trucks were full and the third was only about half full. We didn't think much about it until we emptied all of the boxes and noticed things that were missing. We went back and forth with the owner, Greg, but got nowhere with him. Some concerns we had with them: 1- They kept our belongings at their facility one night but they couldn't access their surveillance cameras to see if someone had broken into one of the vans because the cameras weren't working. 2- They wouldn't offer any compensation for missing items, even though they had insurance for it. 3- Their estimate was 42% higher than the billed amount. 4-We had several damaged and broken items which I didn't even bring up, except one, which they eventually repaired. 5- Greg returned only one of many calls made to him. 6- Had to hound them for a deposit made on some moving quilts, which they eventually repaid. 7- The last thing Greg said to me was "I'm not going to take any responsibility for your missing stuff". Things I liked: 1- Greg was very accommodating in scheduling the 2 moves. 2- His staff was eager to make sure everything was placed correctly. If you decide to use their services, I suggest that you keep a detailed inventory list and/or photos of your items and have the foreman sign-off on what is put into the van and repeat the process when they unload your belongings. I wish that I had done this because now I am out several items worth thousand of dollars.

I've had some terrible moving experiences (things broken, lost, drivers taking over an hour to go less than 2 miles with my stuff, etc.) over the past couple of years. So when I called RMMs I was very demanding about exactly what I wanted, and I was completely prepared to be frustrated. Were my expectations wrong. They were 100% professional start to finish. I gave them a very tight time window to work in, and not only did they meet it, they beat it. And my move included a piano...They were fast, careful, and unbelievably efficient. I would recommend them without reservation. In fact, I'm moving again in a couple of weeks and they are going to be my first call.

Really upset at this company and their “policy”. My car broke down in the middle of the night and would only go to their location. I had to leave it out front of their building with a note that I would be there at 8 am when they open to get fixed (with my number). I got there at 8 and they had already towed it. Didn’t call or anything. The company that they used to tow it was horrible and charged $275 for a tow and to hold it for 2 hours. Clearly not out for the people and just for them and theirs. They really made matters worse and kicked me when I’m down

Rocky Mountain Movers moved my goods this past summer from Lehi to Draper, UT. I was very disappointed. Their staff arrived early, talked on the phone during the move, damaged a door, was not able to hook up my dryer and did not balance my washer. I selected them over other services because of their ability for washer/dryer hook up and it turns out that their staff is totally incompetent in this regard. Months later, I was told that my washer was bouncing around because it had not been balanced. Every time I use my washer, the water connection breaks and I have a lot of water to mop up. Rocky Mountain has a very short amount of time to let them know of any issues ... regardless of the time that has gone by, I think they should fix this as I was not able to diagnose this problem myself, especially in the time frame given. I was ready to submit a positive review had they agreed to take responsibility for this problem but, instead, I am writing this negative review. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Rocky Mountain Movers.

Rocky mountain was the only company to quote me hourly charge for a long distance move instead of binding not to exceed or binding by weight quotes. I took a risk by choosing them because of the good reviews here and I'm really glad of that decision. It ended up costing lower than any of the binding not to exceed quotes. The moving team did an awesome job in taking care of my furniture, home, and finishing the job on time. I'm glad I didn't choose one of those big national van lines. Rating 4 stars as they were not able to fit everything in their truck. Moving team did a good job of arranging everything as tight as possible, but still didn't have room for my porch swing, bike, mower, ladder, and a few other things. I still recommend them as I don't think any other moving company would have done a better job.

I would say that for the most part this company was easy to work with, however the actual movers were a bit of a challenge. When they were packing my house they wanted to leave early and started putting the truck away when there was still a significant amount of belongings in my home. When I went to talk to them about it one of the movers was playing around with my moped and not packing. They charge hourly so I really did not appreciate them goofing off, and I did not like that they were playing with my things.

Called to get an estimate for my office. They asked if it was for a UDOT estimate, I said it is, they said they won't do that and hung up. So yeah, if UDOT is making you move and requires you to get estimates (as they are for several hundred businesses and homes up and down Bangerter highway), call someone else.

I recently moved from California and hired Rocky Mountain Movers to unload my Uhaul. During the move, my brother broke off the the foot of one of my dressers. While unloading, one of the movers apparently noticed this damage and the next thing I knew Rocky Mountain Movers was giving me a call to set up a time to repair this damage! I even let them know it was not their fault, but they fixed it for me anyways! Great company! I will be using and recommending them for any future moving needs!

Had International Van Lines scheduled to move our household goods Jan. 2018. Showed up 36 hours late, then cnx our contract. That was a Saturday, stuck in a home we no longer owned. Called Rocky Mountain Movers Monday morning at 8 and had 3 trucks with 10 people at our home 2 hours later. They had our home packed in 7 hours. Worked incredibly hard and professionally as well. We went from total frustration to relief in a matter of hours. A delightful experience and the follow up with them has been fantastic. Would give them 6 stars if it were an option.

The crew that move my things were friendly and enjoyable. I appreciated the help with moving. But i was unimpressed on how quickly things were done. I moved my entire apartment in under 3 hours with a partner. In this case i had no more than 15 pieces of furniture and a maybe 5 extra smaller items. I had taken apart all of the furniture that needed and it took more than 3 hours.

We had only two movers to get our heavy furniture from our old apartment to our new condo. Distance wasn’t an issue, but we were still worried it couldn’t get done in our allotted 1.5 hours. It looked less likely when the truck couldn’t fit in our new steep driveway and had to be parked across the street, adding to their distance on foot.
