Thank you A-1 Pioneer for your exceptional service! I'm a professional kitchen re-modeler and needed a large, built-in refrigerator moved. The crew (led by Peter) arrived on time, were clean cut and hard-working. They went above and beyond in getting a very heavy appliance out of a tight space, taking great care in the process to avoid any damage to floors, walls, door jams, etc. Very pleased with the result and will use A-1 for any moving needs I may have in the future.

So impressed by our hard working crew of three and the nice customer service at A-1 Pioneer!!! The crew was so fast and communicative! I love how they put plastic on the stairs and covereved the floors to prevent damage. They also wrapped items and kept very organized. My only disappointment with the company is that, for both the loading and then the unloading two days later, they were 2-3 hours later than scheduled. It caused a few issues with the people moving into our previous house, with the babysitters, and with the friends we had coming to help. But Jason was helpful and did what he could to help the situation. Overall, I would definitely use this company again and I’m so glad we chose them for our move!!

If you care about your belongings then choose this company to move you! They have the best customer services and do what they promise. Doug and Jason Bagley are honest, fair and knowledgeable. The packing and moving staff were on-time, hard-working, friendly, and careful. They packed and moved my entire home of 5,000 square feet in two days. I don't have to worry about my 'stuff' while it is stored in their facility. I highly recommend!

I used A-1 about 6 months ago for a local apartment to apartment move and was very happy. What I was most impressed with is that they had all the supplies to move me ready to go. They had special boxes to wrap my glass table, saran wrap to protect drawers from opening, dollies, all the goods. I used Two Men and A Truck before A-1 and was disappointed that they didn't have screwdrivers to help me disassemble a table base and seemed to have a poorly prepared truck. A-1 I would trust more for expensive, breakable items. One of the two men who did the move didn't speak fluent English, but the other man did. One thing I didn't like was that they brought the huge 24-footer truck to do my small apartment move- I would have preferred something smaller. All in all- great experience. BBB registered, professional.

Be careful with this company. Another review on a different site pointed out that most of the reviews were written by the owner's family members. They have the same last name. I work with a furniture store, and recently started shipping product to Utah. We tried out two companies A1 Pioneer and Unique Deliveries to see which one we liked best. We have had two shipments sent to each company. A1 has been a nightmare and was comparatively twice the price. We especially problems on our second shipment. Unique Deliveries has been amazing - the fees were 1/2 and they have everything worked out so that when shipments arrive you are immediately notified via their automated system. Below is my experience with A1 Pioneer. I had some things sent to A1 Pioneer. I was told to sidemark all shipments with my name and phone number so that I could be contacted. First shipment arrived and sat in the warehouse for several days. No one called me to tell me my shipments had arrived. Lady on the phone apologized and I was not charged storage fees. Second shipment arrived same situation. Freight shippers have been on strike and shipments have been painfully slow and unpredictable. Once again I got no phone call. This time the shipment sat in the warehouse for 3 weeks. When I called the owner answered the phone. I cannot believe someone that owns a company is so tactless with his customers. At one point in the conversation he told me that if he had been a smarter guy, he wouldn't be in the moving and storage business and that he cannot be held responsible for notifying his customers when their shipments arrive. He later told me that he hadn't provided anything in writing to me about his services so he can not be held responsible for notifying me (my guess is that operating in ambiguity let's him gouge his customers). When I pointed out that his competitors notify their customers he told me that he doesn't do that because it is none of his business why people need his services - talk about a nut job! When I was onsite at A1 Pioneer I was upset that my customer had waited 3 weeks for something that was sitting this entire time in his warehouse. Now to pay storage fees for that is adding insult to injury. Getting the storage fees removed was my priority. When I rode away and looked at the itemized bill I saw that he charged me for 2 months of storage fees when my things had been there for only 3 weeks. Even his receiving fees were shady. I was to pay $25 per item. The chairs came in 4 boxes wrapped on one pallet. On the invoice I saw the qty was 1 and he charged me $75. Looks like he is equally terrible at math as he is at customer service. Unique Deliveries. They charge by time and not by item which originally concerned me, but we have paid $10-$12 per item instead of $25 per item at A1. Storage fees are extremely reasonable as well. Equivalent items have been $30 instead of A1's fees of $50. They are also accurate in their billing and they have an automated receiving system that generates an email when your items arrive.

Excellent move. The owner took a special interest in us and our special needs. The crew was experienced, friendly and accomplished the near impossible while making it seem easy. They got some large bookcases into a freight elevator after another company had tried and failed.Great job.

The first time I used A-1 Pioneer to help me with my move, I was completely blown away by their speed and ability to move things quickly. I was a college student in an apartment, and was only about 1/2 way done packing when they arrived. I had been dragging my feet since moving is so overwhelming! When the guys arrived, they helped me finish the packing quickly, and loaded up the truck with my things so much quicker than I had anticipated. On the other end, the unload was just as quick. It was then that I realized I would never try and move myself again - it is so worth the money! I used their services again when I moved across country, this time being married and moving with a piano. I was so impressed by their professionalism, thoroughness, and kindness through the whole venture. It was truly a first class experience.

The key here is it is a local company. The crew they sent us was very methodical and caring in the way they treated you. They took care and acted as though they were moving their own belongings. The office is just as easy and caring as the guys moving you. We had a little issue with a refrigerator that we purchased and the receptionist came to my house and took care of the problem. We have moved a couple of times locally and used movers, but have never had this kind of care and service

Will definitely use this company again. First off, when I called in to make an appointment for the move, I was greeted by the owner Jason who made the initial appointment for the move very easy, but then when a problem for the move came up then following day I called him back to see if we could move the day to the following day. Jason was very accommodating and found a way to make it happen. His crew of three arrived on time, the moving truck was much larger than what other companies use which kept the cost down, they took the time to wrap each piece of furniture with moving blankets then with shrink wrap to insure the blankets stayed in position and wasted no time in getting the job done. That crew of three were an AWESOME bunch of men and worked together so well! The move was somewhat complicated since it involved 4 stops, but it was all completed within 7 hours without damages to anything! The total cost was by far much lower than any of the others companies we called and we can’t say enough about how well we’re treated. We want this same crew when we make the next move. This is the BEST local moving company around the SLC area!

Called a week ago for a quote to just have our fridge, washer, and dryer moved 5 miles - they were so nice and said they could do it for $125. I booked them a week later and they called back the next day and said it would be closer to $400. Easily one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever had - I would never use them because apparently they will just jump the price whenever they feel like it. Really disappointed. EDIT: they have called a lot to see if there was anything they could do to make it right. I applaud them for reaching out and trying to make it better but we've already found someone else and they do keep trying to contact me. I'll raise my review from 1 to 3 stars just because they've tried to make it better.
