Moved from Dallas to Austin. Excellent service from start to finish. Jim came out to my apartment only hours after I called to schedule an appointment. He was so thorough and was able to explain everything to me in great detail so there were no hidden fees or anything of that sort. Cheryl shows great diligence by reaching out a few times throughout the process to either confirm details or just see if there is anything else I needed for the time being. The two movers (both loaded and unloaded for me) were extremely friendly (as were Jim and Cheryl), took excellent care of my belongings, and were also very thorough in their paperwork and checklist of my things. They were so quick too! And kept a smile on their faces the entire time. Give these guys a raise! Look no further for your moving needs. If I still lived in DFW, I would never call anyone else for moving needs. Thank you guys so much for everything!

To whom it may concern..... The following description of details shall serve as my formal review and the subsequent claim I am making against, and my COMPLETE DISSATISFACTION with, North Dallas Moving and Storage. For a move I made from Weatherford Texas to Santa Ynez California in late October, 2018. I contracted with North Dallas Moving (through their sales agent Jim Carollo) last October 2018 for my move from Weatherford Texas to Santa Ynez California. My move was extensive, and I not only paid for additional insurance, but I also paid for their 3rd party agent (contracted directly by and between No. Dallas Moving and the subject 3rd party, solely) to specially wrap and “crate” several very valuable items, including a pool table, numerous art works, special pieces of high value antique furniture, as well as a couple items of custom items of furniture. My move totaled over $27,000. Not only was North Dallas’s main driver (and point man) verbally abusive of me, and my daughter, as the day progressed, but when 4:00 came along, and the movers were still far from being finished, the same main driver/point man started to verbally attack and harass me, which I have both an audio and video recording of, the team of other movers literally started throwing and heaving items off the truck, even the items that had been specially wrapped, packed and/or crated. In their rush to get finished and done, the men were finally throwing my possessions from the truck, whether they were crated and clearly marked as “Fragile” (by the exact method the No. Dallas moving team in Texas had instructed us to use), whether it was a desk, multiple chairs or antique Italian Olive jars, it was all being discarded from the moving van, with zero care being extended or employed. I immediately contacted my No. Dallas Moving representative when the inappropriate verbal attacks, abusive and harassing behavior started on that first day, but because of the time difference, between California and Texas, on that initial day of unloading, etc.... I wasn’t successful in reaching anyone at the Texas office. My attempts to explain the actions and that horrible day were repeated over and over again for the next several weeks, and was only passed from one office to another; all attempts to frustrate and thwart my determination to obtain some satisfaction and accountability from North Dallas Movers. It is now almost an entire year later, and I have yet to receive any satisfaction; I have written statements from the third party No Dallas Agents hired to uncrate my valuable items at the California location, and their own accounts clearly state the amount of damage done to the “specially crated items” was unprecedented, and they weren't even able to put my custom pool table together due to the extent of damage done.....broken leg, and significantly cracked side board. Additionally, I have written reports from their other third parties sent to inspect my claims, as well as a written receipts of purchase and statements of value for the items that were so irreparably damaged.......but still no satisfaction! The verifiable ACTUAL DAMAGES owed to me is in excess of $50,000; yet still.....nothing from North Dallas Moving Company? They manage to “pass the buck” and shift focus, by redirecting every phone call of inquiry between different offices of either No. Dallas Moving or the parent company, United Van Lines.......but even, with written verification of added insurance, additional crating charges by agents of No. Dallas Movers, numerous other statements verifying the damage, original purchase receipts, and the corresponding value; as well as a video and audio recording of abusive, verbal assaults and harassing behavior by No. Dallas Moving’s employee, and I’m still left with the only option of chasing justice and recompense, in channels such as this!

Absolutely FANTASTIC!! We scheduled a move based on very positive reviews with North Dallas Moving & Storage. Jim, the estimator came and gave us a very fair bid, with honest information about our move. On the day of the move, we got Channing, who is the owner's son, and the owner himself, with two more crew members to move us from a two bedroom apartment, to another state! Channing was so professional, and had so much energy and enthusiasm, that it impressed me with how they conducted business. Their moving practices were just as professional - they individually wrapped EVERY item before taking it out of the apartment to their truck! I have moved many times in my life, and never had a moving company take such care with my belongings. An outstanding company, great culture and professionalism, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

We used North Dallas Moving & Storage to handle a move for us after a crane collapsed on our apartment complex. I first spoke to Rhonda Watson, the relocation coordinator, to set it all up and she was more than happy to help the residents and worked out a great price for us! I called on a Monday and schedule a move for that same Saturday. The communication was great before and after the move! She really cared that things went smoothly for us! Gary and his colleague were extremely nice & worked very hard! As they unloaded boxes into the house, my husband and I unpacked everything. Gary went the extra mile & broke down all of our boxes and disposed of all our trash. They also put together our beds, & moved a pre-existing large desk from downstairs to upstairs. There is typically an additional charge associated with this; however, due to the stressful situation we’d endured over the prior 2 months, they went above and beyond to help us out! We had a great experience with them & I would definitely use them again!

I wanted to share how absolutely thrilled we were with the Team at North Dallas Moving & Storage last week. Dick was on top of every detail from the 1st day he came by to do an estimate. Very detailed and the utmost professional and gentleman. He came out on the Tuesday, the first day of the packing and Thursday, the first day of the loading to ensure everything was in order. Darlene kept me up to date with everything going on and was ever so prompt to get things sorted everything from revised quotes to additional High Value Inventory Sheets. The Packers were very careful & respected our things like it was theirs. The Loaders were very experience, professional and hard workers, especially given the heat. David is a fantastic Lead! The Crating Company was also excellent. I have absolute trust in the Storage as I was uber impressed when you personally took me around the facility. Clean & organized – both inside and out! I look forward to the transport to MA and the unloading at the end of September. Great Team – so impressive. Not surprising so many have been with you for over 30 years! Impressive!

I chose this company despite the fact that they were the most expensive because their salesman promised that they would replace any goods damaged in the move. They moved me in April and I contacted them to let them know my refrigerator was dented. They gave me a low ball offer for the repair. I contacted Sears to get the actual cost and forwarded that information to the adjuster. In the meantime (about a week), the refrigerator stopped working altogether. The adjuster told me that they would not cover it because the refrigerator was working when we last spoke. She told me I could not prove that the damage was caused by the move. I said she couldn't prove that it wasn't. Since the adjuster made it clear they would not help me and I needed a refrigerator, I bought a new one and had the old (16 months) one hauled away. I continued to pursue my claim and even offered to accept a settlement for half of the cost of the replacement refrigerator. Today, after more than 5 months, the adjuster came back to me with their original offer that wouldn't even have fixed the dents.

Selected North Dallas Moving because of the cost, high reviews and confidence in the sales manager and move coordinator. We were assured all our goods would fit on a 53 foot trailer and the delivery date was what we requested. The packers did a great job. Only one object broken. The problem began when on November 1st when they came to load. They had already loaded the front of the truck with goods to be delivered to TN. As a result, they could not get a third of our things on the truck. They put it on another truck. We assumed both trucks would arrive at the same time in Huntsville, AL on the same day, November 6th. No one informed us that the rest of our goods would be loaded onto another truck and only until they had it filled would they leave. There was many things on the other truck we needed. We did not have any tools, bedding was on the other truck, and my winter shoes. So, I wore sandals in 20 degree temperatures. We had to go buy tools to start trying to get settled. The other truck did not arrive until November 14th. Eight days after the first truck. Delivery had to be made in Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and then to us. You do not have any compensation if your goods are put on an over load truck. No guarantee of when you will get your goods. I called the United Customer Service and was told because it was on an overload truck nothing could be done. I did receive a call back from they saying they would send us $250 as a goodwill gesture. Both drivers said to call the local United agent and they would pick up all the boxes. That was another $150 as box pickup was not on our order. All in all this has been a very stressful situation. It was not our fault that everything was unable to fit on the truck. The sales manager had been to our house and saw what was to be loaded. From that point, we were at the mercy of when the second truck was fully loaded. I cannot recommend this company. I really liked all the people and I hope this is an rare occurrence but moving is stressful and for a 76 and 84 year old couple, this definitely took a toll on us physically and emotionally.

The movers were kind and pleasant. They worked hard and did not waste time. I understood that my doorways would be padded so as not to ding them, but this was not done. They were careful with my furniture and possessions. We provided lunch and soft drinks for the movers. I was disappointed when they departed to find that soft drink cans and other trash (cardboard cores from used up tape, wadded up tape, large pieces of cardboard, etc.) were all over my front yard and also left many places inside of my house. Other than being messy, they were very good for our move-out.

If you value your furniture and other personal belongings, DO NOT trust North Dallas Moving & Storage to handle them in any way. We have moved several times and most of our moves were cross country. Never have we had so many of our things damaged or completely destroyed as we had with this 3-mile local move. We chose NCMS after they were highly recommended. The salesman was very professional and he was from our hometown. We were promised that all of our things would be extremely cared for; mattresses were to be wrapped (they were not) and arrived dirty, door jams were to be protected (they were not). Crew members were caught drinking on the job. They took alcoholic beverages from a refrigerator located in the garage without asking. Our furniture and belongings were loaded onto a truck and then moved into our new home the following day. As things were being carried in, the damage was very apparent. The washing machine scraped the door jam which had not been protected as promised. The washing machine sustained damage to the front. A chest of drawers was being carried by only one man who fell on top of it. We were worried about his well-being, not the chest. The crew member was fine, but when the top drawer of the chest was opened the entire chest collapsed like an accordion! All of the frames were either bent or totally broken. A glass shelf for a bookcase was completely shattered. It was wrapped in a quilt and found hidden a few days later in the new garage. We have 2 full pages of items that arrived with damage. It has been a 3-month fight with this company to do the right thing, which they have refused to do. According to their claims person, we signed a contract saying they would only be responsible for $.60 per pound. The company agreed with us on the dollar amount of damage, but hiding behind the $.60 per pound limit allowed them to only pay 50%. They said they would fix the items that sustained minimal damage. Our kitchen table is ruined, but that is one of the main items they refuse to fix. We contemplated getting attorneys involved, but felt it would be best to settle and to put this horrible experience behind us. This is by far the worst moving company!

Everything arrived in good condition. The guys unloaded it very quickly and placed it in the apartment just where we wanted. They were even accommodating when some things wouldn't fit in my mother's apartment and had to be shifted to mine. And then, when I discovered I hadn't gotten a full unpack like I intended, they were able to do a full unpack (with the appropriate added charge of course) on the fly. Communication with the home office was good and I was very pleased and comfortable with the whole process. Moving is never easy, but they made it as painless as possible.

On the front end of my move I would have given a VERY high review for this company. But after moving in, the response to and reimbursement for broken items has been terribly disappointing. I am currently planning to appeal the ludricous replacement offer for our television, which is about one third of what I could pay for it right now on Amazon. I'm still trying to understand the moving "insurance" coverage, if it's not actually going to insure the items that they broke due to negligence and improper packing.
