We used this company to move my wife and I from our apartment to our new house. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE! First, two of the shadiest looking guys ever drive up to our place. Then, in an hour into the move, one guy WALKS OFF THE JOB COMPLETELY!!! My wife called the owner of the company and his response was, "I don't know what you want me to do about it. I'm with my family right now so we can come back in the morning once I've found another guy." At this point I started helping the remaining mover because, as we explained to the owner, we had to be out of our apartment bc our lease was up... NINE HOURS LATER I have finished moving my stuff when the owner calls back and tells us he's still expecting to get paid!!!!! My wife went ballastic on him and told him first thing Monday she would be calling our attorney. HE HUNG UP ON HER after saying he doesn't take kindly to be threatened. He then called back and said that my wife made "the assumption" that he was unreasonable and that after thinking it over he had decided not to bill us... DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

Worst possible movers I've ever dealt with in my life!! No don't use these guys! I've been moved over 7 times and I've never experienced such unprofessional movers. The "owner" is so rude and disrespectful. My appointment for moving was Saturday between 12pm -2pm. It's 3pm so I call him for an update and he gets upset at me saying he doesn't know, I told him could he at least give me a time frame and he said I don't know maybe another hour. He said he really didn't want to move me because he's tired, he'd rather re-schedule my appointment for tomorrow. I told him I couldn't do that because I had to turn on my keys today. He said fine but I don't know how long will be. Then when he arrived since I knew he was in a bad mood I was trying to put everything behind us of how horrible he was. He asked for a look around then looked at my bedroom set and said no, that's a lot of work to take it apart. Mind you I already told him I had a bedroom set that will have to be taken apart. Then he says oh well this is going to take a lot longer than I thought. I told him that bedroom set can come apart in 30 minutes or less from my previous movers. He said well apparently you don't have enough money for more than two hours. Really?! I had plenty of money but I'm not going to pay a lazy lard to go slow because he's too heavy to even be in the business. At the end I was in tears crying saying I needed him to move me today I have no other option, I have no one to help me and I scheduled my move with your company. He said I'm not moving you with that attitude. Which made me cry even more that he was such a jerk. He literally left me outside as I begged him to please help me moveand he drive away. As a man let alone a business man as a owner you never talk to your customers that way. In addition, you never leave them high and dry on a weekend when you had a appointment set up two weeks in advance. Long story short...Don't have use this company! He does not deserve having his own business.

Use this moving company at your own risk! I scheduled a move a day prior to my move date and the rates sounded reasonable. My move was scheduled between 12pm-2pm The day of my move I get a call from the manager asking if they could come earlier in the morning like right now because they had a cancellation. I told him I wasnt ready & needed to keep the agreed time. About 30 minutes later the manager calls back & says they can't complete the move today because he's the only one & had no other movers to help him. Then he tried to make it seem like it was my fault because they could of completed the move earlier when he asked. I'm like "What!" I had to scram to find a new moving company at the last minute because of their unprofessionaliam! U better have a back up plan if you're going to use Mid City Mover. They are Not Reliable.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Charged me for FOUR HOURS to move a small one bedroom apartment 6 minutes down the street, I don't even have appliances or many belongings. Prepare to PAY for LOUSY SERVICE. Late, rude, disrespectful, complained the whole time, broke my coffee table, broke my TV stand, broke railing on the stairs, stopped for a snack, moved as slow as possible, took smoke breaks, used my toilet and didn't flush, tried to light a cigarette in my new house. My daughter and I were even carrying boxes ourselves because they were so slow. I felt like I needed a few showers after they left. PLEASE do not bother with these people. Just hire a reputable company and get professional service. You're going to pay the same anyway.

Awesome job. They moved me into my place today and they were very fast and efficient. They had all of the supplies necessary to help me pack as well and were very nice. Will definitely recommend them and will use them again!

I have used Mid Cities Movers a couple of times to move my medical office. They were referred by a physician friend who had used them. They were excellent! Right on time! Hard working! Best moves I have ever experienced. I have referred them to others, including my son, who just used them too. They are at the top of my list in the event I need to move again.

The business keeps removing my review because it’s truth and I have pics LOL Check the DMV for their expired Certificate people. At the time of my move this company was NOT LICENSED/CERTIFIED by the Texas DMV to be moving furniture. PLEASE CHECK THE TEXAS TRUCK STOP DMV IN ORDER TO SEE IF MOVING COMPANIES ARE LICENSED Mid Cities Movers certificate had EXPIRED months before my move, they didn’t say anything about it and I didn’t find out until I was about to sue them for damaging my merchandise. (Almost 3500 in damages) I went through the proper steps in order to be reimbursed for the damages (tried speaking owner Mark, sent certified letter) but was ignored until I got a Lawyer involved. Even then, the lawsuit could not be pursued because they had filed “certain legal/Finance docs” in court which protects them from lawsuits. Lol these people are crooks and obviously knew what they were doing. Still taking customers without the proper certifications/license & damaging their goods with no intention of reimbursement because they can’t be sued.

Owner comes to our house and gives us an estimate of $800. He was really nice and assured us he had a full time crew of professional movers and a large truck that would easily fit all our belongings. He said he never uses day laborers. On the day of the move a small box truck shows up at 0930 AM, the driver a 75 year old guy was the only employee and all he did was drive. The other 2 were day laborers and were extremely unhealthy looking and appeared to be strung out. They just piled and stacked our stuff damaging a lot of it (they were NOT) professional movers. They only got half our stuff in the truck and told me they didn’t know what to do because they couldn’t get hold of the owner. I ended up calling my brother to come help and I had to go rent a midsize UHaul truck to get the rest of our stuff. The 2 guys were so wore out they sit on the truck and watched us load almost the entire second truck. Come to find out later from the driver the owner had gotten a much larger job where he sent his crew and large truck to and decided to leave me hanging. Oh it gets better too ! When we get to our new house about 20 miles away these guys want to go eat, understandably so, it’s been 8 hours by this point, but I shouldn’t have to pay the $100 for that hour they were gone, right ? Wrong!!!! About 1000 PM the guys stop unloading and shut the door to their truck which is still half full of our stuff. They bring me a phone that the owner wants to speak with me. They had already told him they had about 2 hours left and he tells me they were not going to finish unloading until I paid them $1450 in cash. The 8 hour job turned into 14.5 because of the owners actions and now it was all my fault that he had sent 2 guys that weighed about 95 lbs each and couldn’t work more then 10 minutes without taking a break. They were supposed to have reset up all our beds and everything but instead everything was just thrown in the garage. You can take this for what it’s worth but I sure wish I would’ve read this before ever speaking to this guy. Please find real professional movers, do your homework, moving is stressful enough without dealing with this.

I would definitely use MidCity Movers again for a move. They were prompt, courteous, and efficient. Everything was handled expertly from moving out of the apartment to moving into the house.
