I scheduled Texas Movers Group to move me and my brother to New York. He got a new position with his company so we had to move kind of quickly. I called up Texas Movers Group and worked up and estimate with Ryan. I had received 3 other estimates from other companies. Texas Movers Group was not the cheapest but they had better ratings than the others honestly and they seem more professional in explaining the process to me. We booked them and i am very pleased we did. The crew came last week and did a good job. I chose what they call the silver package and it’s came in handy. This company is worth taking a look at. I give my upmost thanks to Texas Movers Group .

Being that I've already spent a month and a half of my life lending my time and energy to (and wrecking my cortisol levels because of) these unconscionable thieves, I'm not going to write the lengthy, detailed, and scathing review I once daydreamed of writing. Instead, I'll keep it simple: Setting all of my belongings on fire--with a few thousand dollars on top for good measure--would have been less stressful and upsetting than "working" with Texas Movers Group. Echoing the often over-used sentiment: if I could give zero or negative stars, I would in a heartbeat. 1 star is far too generous for these barbarians. If the world is ending and they are your only option for movers, I'd recommend using my idea above and torching your things instead. I promise, you'd thank me later.

Texas movers group were one of the best movers that I have worked with. I had no trouble with them. The moving team was excellent and very friendly. It was an amazing moving experience. They helped me in packing and gave me a few packing tips which would come in handy some day. They carried all the boxes so carefully and were very careful with the delicate ones. Texas Movers Group made my move painless. They are professional and got things packed in the truck and unloaded quickly and with care. Abraham was efficient and offered great customer service. I have moved all over the country and have used different movers each time. I have had some decent companies. My last move was performed by Texas Movers Group which I found to be by far the best. Their priorities for performing the move were the same as the criteria I was looking for in a professional moving company, namely excellent customer service and professional movers that left me at ease in entrusting by belongings with them, especially because I needed additional storage and packing of a few glass pieces.

Texas movers group provided an exceptional service, quotes were received promptly and the booking and confirmation process was done very easily by e-mail. They professionally finished the packing on the previous day and next morning the truck and moving team arrived on time and were extremely helpful. Their estimate of the work and time required were very accurate and the movers were quite efficient to work as long as it took to get the whole job done. Scam artist never use this company the crew leader was in the door 10 seconds was already asking for more money refused to even honor the estimate. Wish I could leave negative stars. If you are moving never use a mover that requires a deposit until they show to load your stuff.

Way too much to say about my experience but I’ll do my best to consolidate. Initially I felt reassured and Richard my sales rep made me feel good about the process. I had read bad reviews but he assured me they either weren’t even real customers or didn’t estimate their belongings appropriately. To be sure my quote was as accurate as possible I had United Van Lines (rated #1) send a representative out to quote my belongings in storage. Of course Texas Movers Group has better pricing so after my inspection I chose to move forward with them. Texas Movers group quoted my storage unit for 539 cuft, and United Van Lines quoted me for 471 cuft so I felt confident about my quote price since it was over what the inspector estimated. The day of pickup Texas Movers Group showed up with what looked liked an elongated horse trailer, not a moving truck. The driver came to look at my unit and in less than 30 seconds determined ‘himself’ that he wouldn’t do the move for less than almost double what I was quoted for. I explained to him my contract was based on cuft and didn’t understand why he was trying to negotiate a price upon arrival. We called the office and both myself and the driver sent pics in to show my belongings. The driver took pics of the storage unit door not pulled up all the way making it look like there was more volume than there should have been and my photos pulled the door up and turned on the unit light to show it was maybe 2/3 full. The Texas Movers Group office manager lady on the phone became irate and was unable to speak in a calm or controlled manner. After her raging and my storage unit manager also trying to pacify the situation to explain my quote was accurate, the moving manager told me she wouldn’t move me and that she’d refund my money then she hung up on me. I called back to request that in writing and she then determined she wasn’t going to refund my deposit and that it was up to her sales department who wasn’t working that particular day. Longer story short, I fought the charges with my bank and submitted all my documentation and they agreed to refund my deposit before my claim was escalated. So if they tell you I wasn’t a customer, they aren’t lying since they refused to move me but I can tell you they are scammers and like to pin their victims when they are most vulnerable forcing them to pay the price to have their belongings moved. I ended up renting a Uhaul and having help load/unload my truck. I hope this review is informative and helps someone’s decision if they are looking for a moving company. I would never recommend this group.

They wrapped my furniture in an innovative way and set all the furniture perfectly. They also dropped off my goods nicely. They were very expert movers. The movers from Texas Movers Group arrived on time and were ready to start right after they arrived. They made the move easy. I had some broken items and their expert helped me to fix those and the items are likely better than ever before! I owe this company for this job. The guys were not only careful for my belongings rather they were extremely alert about the walls and floors. So generally what happens, when a mover finishes works they leave behind a lot of signs of broken items or walls but here these guys were absolutely successful. There was no damage. I wish I could give Texas Movers Group zero stars. I'm shocked that these people are in business. We had a truly appalling experience on our move from Texas to New York. I feel sick to my stomach that we gave money to these people for a service we would've been better off carrying out ourselves with UHaul trucks. John was deceptively polite and reassuring the one time we spoke with him on the phone to book TMG, but was totally unresponsive thereafter. They sent three movers to pack us up in Austin. The leader of the pack, who was also in charge of all the paper work, pencil whipped his inventory list, and told us we were overreacting when we corrected him on it in signing the final documents. He also made incredibly offensive racial comments and used slurs left and right. It was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. When our things arrived in New York, late and significantly damaged, we were annoyed. But when the movers that were subcontracted on the New York leg to unpack our things punched a giant hole in the wall of our newly renovated apartment while moving in our couch, we were furious. Michelle was the person assigned to handle our case, and she couldn't have been less professional or less helpful. In fact, she went out of her way to be horrible. She actually told me that one of the movers had called her and she had been on the phone and heard me say it was okay for them to damage the wall. Let that sink in for a moment. She made it clear she would not relent that they were in no way responsible. We honestly found battling her and their insurance company to be so upsetting that we swallowed the cost of the $800 wall repair and moved on with our lives. Please do not make the same expensive and completely unnecessary mistake we did by giving business to these people.

Texas Movers Group is a complete mess and is the worst moving company that I have ever experienced. I will never use or recommend them to anyone. They only want your money and are dishonest people. They are unprofessional, rude, and frauds. They quoted me at $1275 to move my furniture from Houston to Dallas and doubled the price to $2100 once they got to my location. They were suppose to call me to give me a specific date and time that they would pick up my items and they didnt. I waited several days and when I didnt hear from them I decided to call to confirm that they were still coming and they didnt even have a date for my pickup determined. This should have been a sign for me to cancel my contract with them, but since I made a $300 deposit I decided to just finish the deal so that I wouldn't lose that money. Anyway, these idiots didnt even have a copy of my documents that I emailed to them for my deposit. They pretty much neglected to complete anything that we discussed and agreed upon. They even told me that I could pay in check then demanded cash on site when they evetually arrived. When i called the office to talk to a manager, a rep by the name of Bridget was nasty and unprofessional. She yelled at me, insulted me, and then hung up the phone on me. She is disgusting and needs to be terminated immediately! Overall, this was a complete nightmare and I encourage you to not use this company if you care about moving your stuff in a quick and professional manner, and simply having an honest transaction!

Texas Movers Group is an extremely efficient moving company. I was surprised at how quickly they got everything done. On the day of our move, they asked very specifically what we did and didnt want pack. They placed the belongings very carefully. They didn’t spend much time to pack my belongings. The info on the website of this company was very helpful in planning my move. Overall, I was very impressed with the service. It was very easy to communicate with them. Please, Please Please save yourself the headache of choosing this very poorly run company. Once a price was agreed upon and the date was set, I paid 10% down to hold the date. That’s when things started to go wrong. When questioned, Zac said, “My guys are tired, they will need a day off, this is our busy season.” What? You scheduled this date 2 weeks ago, why promise a customer a date when you know you’re overbooking yourself? Very unprofessional. The day of the move was so stressful, the packers were NOT professional packers as we were promised. Because of the mix up in dates, my husband was not there during the early part of the packing process. I couldn’t be in every room to supervise, but I saw one very young man on the crew taking things out of my desk and just dumping them into a very large box, like paper clips, pens, etc. I also saw him putting a framed picture of my son in the box without wrapping it or even trying to place it neatly in the large box. I asked him why he wasn’t wrapping them and placing them neatly, so they wouldn’t get damaged. He said, “Oh, Ok, I can wrap them if you want.” There was an issue with my credit card, and I was distracted by Zach who kept telling me we need this taken care of now. With my husband not there to supervise, I was witnessing my belongings not being packed professionally, I was very stressed. Zach kept telling me, “quit worrying, everything is going to be ok.” The home we moved from was a 3 Bedroom, 2 bath home, with a large attic and garage full of items. They had started to load up the furniture and I said why are you trying to do this, packing and loading everything in one day, I was told packing would be done on the 14, and loading on the 15th. Zach said, “because I told you before, my guys need a day off tomorrow.” Two 26 ft trucks were brought to my home and as they were loading, Zach said, “We’re not going to be able to get everything on one truck.” I said, well you brought 2 trucks with you so that shouldn’t be a problem.” He said, “No, my own personal truck wouldn’t start this morning, so I had to drive the big truck here?????” UMM what? Things went from bad to worse, Zach said, “I’m gonna have to charge you more because there is more stuff that we quoted and it’s not gonna fit on one truck.” Again, there were two 26 ft. moving trucks parked outside. Zach said, “all of this furniture in your garage, you’re not even using because it’s in your garage, what are you doing with that?” I said, “It’s our stuff we’re taking it with us.” He said, Well, you’re not even using it, and it’s definitely not going to fit on the truck.” He said, “Listen, here’s what I’m gonna do for you, let me take this furniture to our warehouse in Dallas, you take pictures of it and you can try to sell it, that way you don’t have to figure out how to get it to your place in Corpus, and you won’t have to pay for an extra truck.” At 6 pm when it was proved that all our belongings would not fit on the one truck, he said, “All we need is a U-Haul, we can put the rest of the boxes and misc. things in your husband’s truck, and I’ll take the rest of this furniture in the garage to the warehouse for you. Will you agree to that, so I don’t have to charge you for another truck?” Really???? Ok, we were all whipped by this time, the heat had gotten the better of all of us, so my husband went with Zach to get the U-Haul and we all tried to finish the loading. Our drive to Corpus Christi began. The taped boxes in the back of the truck started to open. We had to pull over and get more tape to re-tape the boxes. Then it started to rain and when we finally got to Corpus Christi it was after midnight and we were exhausted. It was pouring down rain, and we couldn’t fit the truck and the U-Haul together in the garage, and we didn’t have a lock. So, we had to search gas stations to find a lock to put on the U-Haul. This was an awful experience, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Texas Movers Group was truly professional and friendly. They arrived on time as we had asked them to and our house was cleared within two hours. We were too much annoyed with the whole moving thing but they turned it into an easy and smooth one. Everything was moved, stored and settled carefully. There was no damage to any of our items! Some of our antique pieces were almost fragile but they didn’t ignore those things. They packed them carefully too. I was impressed.

Horrible company. They will lie to you, everyone there lies to you. Zack, Sean, Jack, Michelle, don't trust the person that you get an estimate from. Look at all the bad reviews on here. Those are the only real reviews. They will double your cost and lie to you and say you have additional items. Go with a well known reputable company.

We hired Texas Movers Group for our move a few weeks ago. They were just amazing. When I called them for a quote, they seemed very sincere and gave me a very reasonable quote. Their crew arrived on time. The movers were very sincere and skilled. I had some heavy belongings but they didn’t take a long time to finish packing everything. This is a really honest review on my move. 1. The quote for out-of-state moves at least, is completely different to the final price, like half of it actually. So, if you are getting so happy for a $1K discount for early reservation, you will pay it at the end, and even more. 2. If you get this guy Zach to make the appraisal, he will try to bill you for everything!, so keep all your stuff well packed, use all your boxes and measure them, then you can get a decent quote. 3. If you have some last-day items to add, they will hit you hard on those. 4. Timing - Sales people will tell you that even for out of state moves, the move is done in 3 or 4 days, even if the contract says like 15 days. Well, when at the forth day your stuff hasn't arrived and you call, they will put you the contract in your face!, and what are you going to do? ha? that's the contract there, it doesn't matter is sales people and even Zach of whoever is doing the closure say, in my case they said 4 days, and we needed to wait actually a couple of weeks. (and they made us a favor) 5. Movers - Super efficient, fast and careful. 6. Warehouse crew - I cannot tell on that, but I got a lost TV, some broken glass, and a lot of scratched things, note that the "included" insurance covers your stuff at .60 per pound, so ..., if your $5K computer gets all broken, you can get a couple of bucks for it. So, if moving with expensive stuff, 1. use the additional insurance or even private insurance or 2, like in my case, move it yourself. -- note that my TV appeared days later, it was still in the truck (note that the truck is shared, so your stuff is moving along some other moves as well, if the warehouse messes up the load, your staff will be either - delivered wrongly, or lost -- 7. Stairs or flights as they call, sales will tell you that only applies for "exterior" stairs, like moving to 2nd and 3rd floors, but the drivers will try to get a "tip" because stairs are not included they say :), also, drivers are super efficient and friendly, but since they are sub-contractors, they are disconnected from what the company says, so .... they know nothing and they are there only to deliver, if something is lost, broken, etc... don't even talk to them. So, that's it, it is not easy to move, but if you know all the terms clearly and sales people is honest, you know what you are going to do. Sales people will sale you smoke, don't believe, have a nice itemized list with measurements, that's how they are going to calculate the quote.

Last month, I hired them to help with my move. After hearing so many bad things about moving companies, I was very close to doing this move by myself. I did call multiple companies but felt more comfortable after speaking to a representative at this company. Unlike other companies, I was given a fixed price estimate that was fair and guaranteed. On the day of the move, the movers came and wrapped and disassembled my furniture. Very soon they left for my new place. Once they arrived, they unloaded and reassembled my furniture. Nothing was broken, the delivery was on time and at a flat rate, and the crew was courteous. They really care about their customers and value what they do.

I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS!!! They called to confirm pick up time and an hour later they called to tell ME THEY WERE CANCELLING THE NIGHT BEFORE! apparently their truck "broke down". There's only one moving truck for the whole business?!?! TERRIBLE. Now I'm stuck scrambling for movers! HORRIBLE ! Update 7 months later: i got a call from one of the employees personally apologizing. She didnt want to get fired but admitted that the truck never "broke down". None of the movers checked my drop off location (Reno, NV) and when they finally did no one wanted to drive that far because it was too big of a liability. They had over 3 months to tell me this prior to cancelling the bight before so I could get things handled.

The movers arrived exactly as promised. The were super efficient at labeling all the items so that each would be delivered to the proper location. The loading of the furniture went very smoothly and was loaded on the truck in the order in which they were going to be delivered. Every item was protected before loading. Texas Movers Group, is not a reliable or trustworthy company. My husband and I hired this company to move us from Texas to California. The estimated price increased($2800 to $4600) even after we reduced our amount of items to be moved! The move date and time was rescheduled three times, we ended up completing the move on two separate days! The staff was always unavailable or difficult to reach by phone, had to send emails to communicate. Texas Movers Group advertise their nice company moving trucks and trailers, which is what I expected to show up for the move, but instead a antique (year model 1960) huge extra long truck that required repairs twice on the way out of state (so they claim for the delay of delivery) showed up with only ONE moving guy and a driver that did not help the ONE mover! The moving guy shared with us that his help to unload the truck was not showing up due to car trouble. The ONE moving guy was asking for my husbands assistance with some of the heavy items! Wow smh! Inventory during pick up of our items was not taken properly, and some items was not inventoried at all. When we received our items at delivery, some items was damaged, broken, and missing. Brand new packing boxes looked as though they had been tossed around and crammed in improperly, dinning chair leg was broken, missing nightstand and missing exercise equipment. The ONE moving guy shared with us that the delivery before us the customer was missing TWENTY BOXES! Wow smh! When they arrived to deliver our items the driver could not get the moving truck parked close enough to unload items and wanted MORE MONEY for a shuttle or for extra steps due to the distance! We declined and decided we would unload our items. The ONE moving guy then decided that he could get it done at no extra charge. We hired this company because of the excellent ratings/reviews and that is what I told Alex on our initial contact, but Texas Movers Group end up being a BIG disappointment. Bridgette talks a "good game" but unprofessional, fake, and not to be trusted, she is nice until they get your items loaded in truck smh. Michelle was OK but somewhat a "bullie". Hire this company at your own risk, I understand that "to err is human" but I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend Texas Movers Group to anyone! We are in healthcare and construction fields of work and have shared this horror story to all that would listen from Texas to California, for they will not have to endure the troubles and financial hit that we went through. I believe bad business, deserves no business! I give this company NO STARS. (it would not let me give NO STARS)

They literally took on a mammoth task and finished it in a very short time. It would have taken me forever to do that job. Read the contract carefully ... if your moving storage to storage they pack your stuff in a medium to large truck then broker a big rig to carry your stuff an 18 wheeler even dough the contract states an 18 wheeler you already stuck with them moving your stuff and if that 18 wheeler cannot maneuver inside the storage facility then you have to get another storage or rent a smaller moving truck and hiring movers maybe which cost you extra money and they charge 7 dollars per a cubic feet .... after all this the manager reimbursed me for the supplemental cost of the truck and workers ... the manager/owner cares ...

Texas movers groups is a scam,never ever use them ever. The sales office deliberately underestimated the volume of my materials in order to lure me in and lock me down, knowing fully well that their and they charge per cubic feet. Then when the driver came to pick up my stuffs, he did a visual and told me all my household materials is twice the volume originally quoted in the estimate, thus I have to pay more than double the originally quoted price. Plus the driver was super rude and start calling me names when I refused to pay the new amount, he when call their office and made one Michelle to speak with me who also started raining all manners of insulting words on me and even threatened to call the police on me. Again I say never ever you use Texas movers group again, it's a big SCAM.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! First of all when my items were picked up the movers were incredibly rude. I was charged extra money for them to wrap my glass items when no one told me ahead of time that it needed to be wrapped. Not only did I have to live in my new place for almost two weeks without my items. When I received it all my sons items were covered in some type of brownish-red sewage. I queried a bunch of companies one evening. Austin (the man, not the city) called us 8 am the next day. He was funny. We picked this group because of their good reviews. We changed out destination twice, and this posed no problem to them. First, they picked up our stuff, making sure to let us know when we were reaching the limit. Going over the limit would have meant paying more. We were actually both finishing packing and throwing stuff out at the same time. The pickup occurred after our first change of destination. Then we had to call them to hold onto our things, as our final destination was uncertain (this all had to do with both a series of job interviews, and with finding a place to live). They held onto our stuff for another week or so until we finalized our place of residence. All in all, they showed tremendous patience and fairness. I recommend them based on our good experiences with them.
