Super impressed with Dallas Moving Company! The team updated us each step before the move. Giving us estimates and allowing us to make changes as we got rid of things beforehand. Day of: We were given a time range which they met, and were notified 45 minutes prior to arrival. The team came in and immediately took a look at our things before beginning to move. Each item, including tv, glass, antique furniture, was carefully wrapped up in custom boxes, wrap, and moving blankets. They were respectful and beyond efficient. Very bad service for the high price, pick up was good but the people who delivered were really bad, they had no clue on how to install my sectional, beds where not done properly, i had to install the tv and the coffee table. They did not box my king bed and it was bent by the time i received it. It was 2 guys for pick and drop.TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY !!!

The following review was posted from my phone when one of the crew took my phone saying he'd be taking photos of the moving items and he started typing. When I asked what he was doing he said he was saving photos to their google file. Posted by movers from my phone: Perfect to work with. Olivia is number 1 I have proof from my phone that it was not me. Olivia is not #1 and treats you like an idiot if you call her out on saying what she needs to get you to sign the contract. Pay attention to the details on it because they'll use it to put you in a bad spot. I have witnesses who heard my conversation with her saying my stuff would very likely arrive by a certain date. So I scheduled my transition date to move 700 miles away based on that. On the day I get to my new empty apartment I call them to find out when they will be arriving to be told that they have no clue when it's coming because its still in Dallas 5 days after they picked it up from me. Olivia tried to defend it all and stated that it's my fault for not reading the contract. At no point was I advised anything other than it wouldn't be a problem and it's likely I'd have it by the day I move in. I just now got my stuff a week after I moved in. Olivia is a salesperson so don't believe that she has your best interests in mind. She'll make it obvious when you call her out on her bs. I am going through my things and my bed frame is damaged and the crew that picks up your stuff and drops it off will try to charge you more money for everything they can without a good explanation. If you look deep in these reviews you'll find many others exactly like mine. They bury them deep behind reviews with high ratings by doing exactly what they did with my phone. I've found out that this is legitimately considered fraud. Please please please do not use this company for the sake of you and your family. The guys on the crews are very friendly indeed but it's because they want you to feel all warm and fuzzy to take your stuff and hold it until it's convenient for them to deliver it....within their "contract" of course. But don't expect anyone to tell you that before they take your things and you're left stranded. I have screenshots and photo evidence of it all if anyone wants proof of this.

I’ll give what I think is the “ins and outs of my move” so you can decide for yourself. In short, I’d move with them again, but I’d do a few things differently. 1) Dallas moving did a great job at pickup and delivery. Pickup was 6 people and the team leader, I packed my stuff myself and disassembled my furniture myself and the guys that showed up did a great job wrapping and taping. Delivery was fast and efficient as well (but only two guys) so budget more time for that. 2) Since I packed all my own stuff, I measured it and knew what the cubic feet were. Unfortunately, at pickup I feel like I got the old “bait and switch” because the way they calculate the space you will take up does not reckon with reality- I ended up getting charged for about 30% more space than I actually took up. On delivery it was obvious that I took up less space on the truck than I was billed for. If I was to do it again, I would have the measurement occur before they take half of your stuff and put it outside where you live so you don’t have to argue with an estimated volume. 3) there were repeated promises that they wouldn’t “nickel and dime” me. So I asked, on the phone, about “long carry” and the policy on being on the second story of a building and I was told not to worry about it and that it wouldn’t be an issue or additional charge. Day of the move (again, after half of my stuff was outside of my apartment) I was charged for both long carry and being on a flight of stairs of 14 steps (not the 10 free steps). If I was to do it again I”d make sure to get the person quoting me to scratch those lines from my quote, but I didn’t so it is understandable why this slipped through the cracks. One of my discounts was also forgotten, but again, I didn’t catch it during the flurry of the move, so I have to accept some responsibility for that. 4) Dallas Moving did do a great job of not charging for tape and blankets. That was awesome. 5) they were very responsive and picked up the phone when I called. This was very well executed and professional. If price and service is all you care about, and you are willing to pack your own stuff, I’m sure this is probably one of the best options if you stay on top of them and get everything in writing. But don’t get tricked, moving is tricky and some things will probably get slipped in during the process that could cost you a pretty penny.

The worst service ever you will get from this Dallas moving. While picking up the stuff they told nice stories and inflated the price from 1090$ to 1580$. on June 11th 2018 I received the stuff and the truck driver denied to deliver the stuff in the apartment and delivered on the road as he brought the BIG trailer and it can;t go inside the apartment. Driver suggested he will bring U-HAUL and charge 300$ more ( Another tactic to pick extra money from your pocket). EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. DON'T EVER TRUST THIS PEOPLE. YOU WILL GET FRUSTRATED WITH THE SERVICE.

Wanted to give half star but it does not allow me to. Might be a good moving company, but they have totally unprofessional packers. I opted for "full packing" service which costed me extra $500, but what I got in return is a nightmare. They sent 6-7 people to my apartment just to make the packing process faster, and trust me they can pack anything with anything without even asking you or without applying any sense. For example, the shoes (dirty ones) were packed with my expensive jackets/coats and blankets/throws. Another box has a top layer of shoes and clothes, then a chair, a lamp and at the bottom all my costly electronics such as Epson projector, Xbox, Printer, Soundbar etc. One box had my kitchen food items, spices covered with Door Mats and Bath mats. There are so many such boxes, but the worst one was a box which had all my kids clothes and in the same box they had packed bathroom stuff such as hair oil, gels, mouthwash, bath mats, trashbin, a plunger (you can imagine, how filthy it is) and also a glass vase. When we unpacked that box, the vase was all broken and the glass pieces were all over my kids's clothes. The clothes were covered inside out with so many tiny and sharp pieces of glasses that me and my wife had to dust each and every cloth, washed them, vacuumed the carpet and in this process we got hurt couple of times with those tiny and unseen glass pieces..You can imagine how dangerous it was for my kids to wear those clothes. Their mantra seems to be "finish the job quicker, even if it is dangerous and hazardous for the customer", plus we paid hefty amount for their so called full packing service and in return we had to throw few of our things either because it was broken/damaged or not fit to use or eat. To top it all, they do not even mark the boxes as per rooms, and I can imagine why they do not mark them, because they pack anything with anything, so even they are not sure what to label them. And, then they dump all those boxes to your delivery address and leave you in hell to unpack all boxes at a time because you do not know whats inside. (All the best with unpacking process as you get one shoe of your pair in one box and the other shoe in other box). I have photos of all the boxes I have mentioned in my above examples. Worst experience it was for us !!! Never ever going back to them or recommend them to others.

I want to recommend Dallas moving to anyone who has to move out of state. They moved me from Lewisville TX to Los Angeles CA. The process of setting up the move was friendly and reassuring, Olivia was patient and went over all the information I needed to feel comfortable. The crew on move day was on time within the window of arrival Olivia set up for me. They were all dressed in blue uniforms and looked very professional. They wrapped up my stuff as if I was moving super expensive furniture (even though it's not) I feel like the crew that came really went above and beyond to make me happy with the service. It's not everyday you really feel like you get your money's worth and moving is not cheap but their service is definitely worth the cost. The truck was loaded really carefully.
