The whole process went incredibly smooth. I scheduled the appointment on a Friday and the movers arrived early on Monday morning. Mike and the movers were very friendly and a lot of care was taken to make sure all of my stuff was protected properly. I called around to a few other companies before settling on American Moving and they were by far the best price. I highly recommended them for their customer service and work ethic.

My experience with this company was horrendous. Everything appeared to be going smoothly with great communication up until the time that the movers were supposed to be at my apartment. My move was scheduled between 1 and 2 pm. I get a text advising that it will be 4 to 5. At 4:55 I called Mike and cancelled. He said that the movers were probably in my apartment complex looking for me and advised me to be patient. I didn't believe what he was saying at all. For me and most everyone, time is money. And you know what? I had important plans that Friday night that did not involve moving. It's quite possible the movers would have eventually shown up. But if you want your movers to show up on time, I would pass on this moving company.

AMC had guys move me from Irving to the Frisco area. The owner is a nice guy & his prices are fair. Movers over charged me by $5. I mentioned that & the owner sent me a check for $5! The downside: Movers didn't empty my dresser & I lost some jewelry which fell out. Also, one of the movers gave me his number for future moves (undercutting his employer). I'd watch for the latter as that's not good business. But the owner is great to work with.

This is the first review I have ever written and I would give 0 star if that was a thing. We only moved 20 minutes away from our old place and the total disregard for someone's property worth money is appalling. Our bed frame has dents and scratches with mirrors on the bed frame missing. Our dining table and other bed has multiple scratches and stains on them. The thing that hurts me most is our unborn child's brand new white Ikea crib was scratched and the brand new Ikea dresser was damaged beyond recognition, like completely broken. Even though one of the guys offered to fix it (which we further regret), it was returned in a worse state, and in their effort to fix it ended up damaging other areas they had no business with. He patched up the dresser with some sort of paste and put nails where they shouldn’t (See attached pictures). What was even more interesting was the fact that they did not mention the damaged dresser when they were done until my husband noticed it was sitting way in the back of the truck and asked why it was not brought in, that’s when they let us know it got broken when they were moving it. Our nursery pictures for our baby that was inside one of the drawers is no where to be found. My husband was asleep when the bed broke and he fell after they set up the bed in our master bedroom. Thank God I was sleeping on the recliner in the living room since that's what's comfortable for my growing belly. I can't imagine being on that bed when it broke apart. My husband later found the screws on the bed were screwed on halfway and some missing. We contacted the headquarters and they told us to call the drivers who moved us. Imagine that? No one has answered or returned our calls. Obviously, they will not address it or do anything about it. Nearly everything was stained being in their truck for an hour or so. The inside of the truck needs a thorough wash because it could change any color to black. I completely regret using their services. Maybe other people had a good experience, as I see all these good reviews but our experience was a nightmare. They can have the 1 star for showing up but absolutely terrible handling of property and belonging. Would not recommend.

This company has moved me and my family several times over the years. Yesterday, Michael sent his guys to move my mother from Carrollton to Hickory Creek. The two guys were great! We moved from Lewisville to Coppell, mane a 5 mile move, I had scheduled AMC two months in advance, the owner was very easy to work with, he called me in fact three days before the move to confirm our time and date. I then was called the day of the move about a half hour before the move which was great. Once they arrived (on time) two men came, clocked us in and surveyed the rooms needing moved and got right to work. We moved from a two bedroom apartment to another two bedroom apartment. The owner followed up with a call as we were driving to the new apartment, which I liked for him to ask to see how everything was going. Once we got to the new place, they were quick to get everything moved in, I seen maybe once scrape on the wall, nothing serious though, all other items they moved did not have any dents or dings. I paid the owner over the phone and he asked how my experience was. The workers seemed a bit annoyed of how often the owner calls, I understand from their perspective they are just trying to do their job, from a customer perspective however I personally liked how on top of things the owner was in ensuring my experience went well which it of course did. The move took exactly two hours in total and for $200 it didn’t break the bank. Note to owner/manager, perhaps ease up on the workers unless getting complaints about them, but certainly keep contact with your customers as you are. Would definitely be my first choice in the future!

They take the time to make sure nothing breaks or gets damaged, they're professional, courteous, and on time. I used them this past weekend and they were done with about 30 minutes to spare.

This is my first time EVER writing a review in my life. This is the worst experience I ever had in my life. Unprofessional, Rude, and disrespectful explains them perfectly. It was a guy name George and his sidekick. It all started when they had arrived, George sidekick came into my home eating and walking around and asking can he use my bathroom. George proceeds to go outside to move the truck again once they had already started the clock on my time with them. George comes back in and starts moving things and his sidekick was nowhere to be found so I had walked outside to see where he was and you would never believe that he was standing outside of the truck still eating, let's not forget everyone, that this is on the clock. I called the moving company to inform them of what is going on and how George sidekick is eating at the truck instead of helping when I was told I was paying for two men. The man on the phone told me that they are busy so they have to eat. Basically, letting me know I am paying for them to eat on the clock. I was charged 85 dollars per hour and the minimum was 2 hours, also a 35 dollar trip fee. So that came to $205.00 . Anything over two hours you have to pay per cent per minute, but dont worry, they DON'T let you know what that cent is. I felt that they were moving slow on purpose being that I live in an apartment and moving to another apartment, I dont have that much items. George was moving quick but his sidekick was taking his time and taking one step per 10 seconds. It took almost 4 hours for them to move things from one apartment to another apartment. Now, let's talk about everything they broke and scratched up. Lets begin a check list here: 1. They broke my desk 2. They broke my bookshelf 3. They scratched up my t.v stand and broke it 4. They scratched up my night stand 5. They broke my dresser 6. I'm now missing a wheel off my computer chair 7. They broke my bed frame....this list literally goes on and on... when I had let them know what they had done, they told me that's old and it's been like that. Half the stuff I just named is brand new and I had less than six months...This is ridiculous... STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS MOVING COMPANY....THEY WERE THE NIGHTMARE MOVERS FROM FAR FAR AWAY...WHICH IS WHERE THEY NEED TO STAY ...PS: This is actually a 0 star review but I didnt have an option but to put one star ( I guess the one star can go to them for showing up 15 minutes early)

Called the office & spoke to Mike. He cut me a deal that put every other quote, in the greater Dallas area, to shame. I called at least 8 different moving companies & Mike beat the best competitor quote by about $60. He was very cordial over the phone & very easy to communicate with. I Used 2 guys for 2 hours. I’m not even going to post what kind of deal he gave me for these 2 guys because I don’t want to embarrass, upset or humiliate any competitors or customers . I believe the gentleman that moved my furniture was named George. Him & his helper moved more than I wanted them to move & still finished 30 minutes before the 2 hour minimum. VERY hard working guys. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone considering relocating . Good customer service, GREAT prices, speedy service & they go above & beyond.

Scratches to my dryer and wooden drawers. The guy didn’t even use blankets while he was moving them with the dolly. When i told him the scratches weren’t there before and i wanted him to use the blankets when he’s moving the furnitures, he got mad and start yelling that he didn’t make those scratches. I tried to stay calm and tell him I’m not telling him to pay for the damages but just use the blankets for the rest of the furnitures he has to move. He got so mad and just took the money and said he’ll never help me to move anymore. I’m not planning on using this company again. I’ve never been treated this way before. Never had anyone yelling at their customers when customer wasn’t yelling. The other guy who talked to me on the phone was very friendly and sincere and polite. So i thought i got the good movers coming. But this old man was grumpy as soon as he walked into my apartment to move. Rude, unprofessional, saying that i’m wrong for saying something that’s not true. I didn’t mention a few other damaged things to him bc i know it’s hard moving from 3rd floor to 3rd floor. But come on, we paid to get this service. I dont need to be treated this way.
