This was absolutely the worst moving service I have ever experienced. The people not professional at all. They were slow and took so many breaks. They claim to be the best in San Antonio but I should have gone with someone else. Not sure where their manager was but obviously they didn't care at all about doing a good job. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Very pleased with Advanced Moving Company. I was running behind on scheduling my move, but Jim was still able to help me out. I scheduled two movers for the day after Christmas, and they were prompt and ready to work upon arrival. They even helped position the truck in to a complicated driveway with no problems. They knocked out my loading day IN THE RAIN with zero complaints, and a smile on their face. You could tell they've been doing this a while because they were extremely fast at dissembling some last minute items, and navigated some switchback stairs with no problem. They even took care of our piano for us. I highly recommend this company, and specifically this crew (Philip and Alfred). They took the stress out of moving day.

My whole life I've always moved myself between houses but after hiring these guys I will never move myself again! Warren and David were awesome. They were on time and got straight to work and knocked out our job way quicker than I could have imagined. It's really hard to find nice hard working people so these guys definitely exceeded my expectations. The owner jimmy even called me to make sure everything was running smoothly and afterwards as well to make sure my first experience with movers went as well as I hoped for. If you want to spend your money to hire them to move your household goods, plus pay out-of-pocket for damages and missing items of which they are responsible…then, hire Advanced Moving Company. They are unethical, irresponsible, unaccountable, thieves, and completely dishonest. Jimmy Williams is a liar and a complete scammer. Spent $3200 for a two-part move. It rained the day of move-out from storage to final destination…rained outside and inside the truck. Living room furniture, mattress and box spring, food items, photo albums, and other memorabilia completely saturated upon delivery; multiple fragile items crushed, one box missing (loaded, but not delivered), and an automotive repair appliance missing (loaded, but not delivered). I wish that I could attach the mess of photos from the damages to this review. Josh took the same photos that I have, plus I attached all of the photos to the claim (the claim for the items of which, Jimmy Williams deem as claimable…the missing box is not claimable, “because they did not pack the box”; the auto-repair appliance is not claimable, “because they did not pack the box” (but, they did remove them from the house and load them onto the truck; CRAZY). This job ended on August 12th, 2018; submitted the claim on the 13th. Jimmy Williams has done nothing but lied and dodged…it has gone from, he has never seen the claim (till I sent him a picture of the text with him acknowledging that he did, from the original date of submission) to, he is waiting to hear back from “his claim adjuster”. Mind you, I have not heard one breath from Jimmy Williams or anyone else from this moving company since mid-September 2018 – HAS NOT responded to text messages, phone calls, voicemail messages, or emails (of which every email of which he previously provided to me, is now coming back “no longer valid”). Yes, the movers are well mannered and appear to be cautious with your furniture, but they need to be supervised. I have not read one review of which this company has EVER acknowledged or taken responsibility for anything of which they have damaged. However, I have read a bunch of weightless-comebacks and unaccountable excuses from them that MIRROR my experience. NOT A DIME, NOT A WORD, THE ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING-COMPANY EXPERIENCE, EVER. JIMMY LIES, AND JOSH TELLS LIES TO COVER FOR JIMMY, OR CHANGES THE STORY AFTER GETTINGS INSTRUCTIONS FROM JIMMY. DO NOT USE ADVANCE MOVING COMPANY. I GOT HUSTLED. ZERO STARS! TO YOUR RESPONSE, BELOW: You are a complete LIAR, w/FALSE PRETENSE. Is it you respond when exposed? Who is replying? Your unprofessional-existence did not have the guts to utter this reply during the last exchange in Sep '18, 5 months ago; completely changed the narrative. Your reply sounds near-verbatim to ALL of your other replies to complaints for items of which you are more than likely responsible. The water-damage was NOT a result of moving in the rain, but caused directly by your DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT. Your team stopped working during the torrential down-pours till it stopped enough to work. Only the items at the front of the truck were SATURATED. Are you that STUPID to come up with that narrative? Josh and Zack were in conversation discussing how he [Josh] had informed you on multiple occasions that the truck was leaking at the front of the back; then, the story changed after he informed you of the amount of water damage to, "Jimmy apologizes, because he didn't know the truck was leaking."; then, you later noted that one of your drivers had hit something to cause the leak, and you were getting it fixed. The storage unit was the same as you left it, A MESS. This was an initial complaint, w/photos, to you on Aug 8th (pics, attached). I know exactly what I signed; had already resorted that I would recoup, minimal, in comparison to what YOU deemed claimable versus the actual damages. $.60/lb. should pay for something, right? On Aug 13th, you stated, "All of these damages are very easily fixed." Fact is, you never planned to pay for any of the damages of which all YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE. A TOTAL CROOK!

Advanced Moving Company is the only company I will use. I have now moved 4 times in the last 4 years and they are by far the best moving company I have used. They hustle to get the job done and don't mess around. I have never had any broken items or damaged walls. They are excellent. The price is more than fair and they are good people to be around. Very courteous and respectful. I would give them 5 stars in the moving category!

Literally AMAZING. First, Jimmy the Owner, was fast to respond and get an accurate quote to me, excellent communications. Second, moving day, again excellent communications with Adrian & Phillip; the moving crew. The showed up right on time. These guys don't mess around, they move with a purpose. I could not believe how quickly they emptied out my place and packed the truck, super organized. They took great care wrapping my furniture as well. They were even faster when we got to my new place. To start Phil one of their employees took a pocket knife that belonged to my husband and was given to him by his grandfather, once I was finally able to get ahold of Jimmy the owner he said he would cover the cost of the missing knife but when it came to collect he backed out on his word and ignored me even though I saw it with my own eyes that he had used and taken the knife. Many of the boxes they did move were not even put in the right rooms. Beware they are nice until you have a problem then they shut you off and ignore you. There is no mistake and I just wish I had cameras up so I could prove it, next time I hire movers I will be sure to install cameras to tape all of the activity, as we all know moving is hard as it is without having special memories crushed in the process. I am extremely disappointed and I am a 6th generation Texan where someone's word is their bond, Jimmy the owner must not have been taught that lesson when he promised to pay for the replacement cost of his antique antler knife that was around $100 to replace after I had paid them hundreds plus tips for a few hours of work. Then started ignoring my texts and calls, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! Anyone that would put us through that promise to try to make it right , then back out isn't anyone I would trust with my house or personal belongings which he stated they were not responsible for, isn't everything we own personal? This could have been resolved so easily. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS TO THOSE THAT ARE DEALING WITH MOVING.

A good buddy referred this company to me as I thought I was over charged by the last company I have been using for years. I just moved into my new house yesterday and was very impressed with their services. They showed up early and got everything packed up very nice and neat. All my belongings were very well protected to prevent any damage. I’ve moved several times over the last several years and used many different companies. The workers that showed were experts taking apart all items that were too large to fit thru the door and putting them bck together once in my new place. So far advanced moving was hands down the best moving company ive ever used. I will be using them from now on.

The move was fair as we encountered unexpected changes. Door trim was pretty banged up and a few items were damaged. Our clothes were found in the floor upon moving back. I was told directly that a representative would be by to collect items for reimbursement..never happened, then told I would be mailed a check...never happened, absolutely zero response from the owner. Failure to follow through is simply poor business. Certainly will not be recommending this business!

Negative stars if that is possible. I had the hardwood floors redone. Paid them 595.00 the first day. Today they came back with a scratched refrigerator and within an hour scratched the floor I just had refinished . I was very upset with them you pay them by the hour one guy i assume one was in the truck on the phone. Within minutes I told them how lousy an cussed a little I had just spent 5k this week. Floors , movers and hotel. They immediately got in their truck and left. I did say you get 125.00 per hour to make more damage than I had ! Hammonds does a good job but these people tried to say a 62 year old verbally abused them. As I can see they have already done plenty! Don’t mess with these guys no copy of contract and he said you didn’t pay THEY LEFT i had to hire a new crew! This place gives SAN Antonio a bad name! I was so angry but a lot of that is lies! They did a lousy job and they left. Bottom line! This wasn’t this guys home I’m sure he walks on water when it rains like the rest of us! Get off the CROSS THE Rest of us can us the Wood ! The horrible customer

I had an excellent experience with Advanced Moving Company. Their staff was courteous, respectful, but above all else, experienced. They were very skilled movers, that you could tell have been in the field for years. Often times when you hire a mover, you get some kid that's making a few extra dollars during the summer. Advanced Moving Company's staff was tenured, skilled laborers that I would absolutely allow move my family and our belongings again. Nothing lost or damaged.
