REVIEWS OF Across U.S.A. Moving & Storage IN Texas

My friend moved to California 3 months ago and he has been telling me about his movers damaging all his furniture in the storage facilities they were kept. So, naturally, I was very concerned when it was time for me to move to Charleston, SC from Dallas, TX. After looking through online reviews I decided to hire Across USA Moving & Storage. Turns out they employ some of the most capable men in business (Randy – sales rep, Brandon – foreman and his helpers) and they have excellent storage facilities. All my stuffs were neatly packed and moved to the storage unit. They turned up in Charleston on the given date right on schedule completely unharmed. I was very happy with their services. I called my friend and advised him which company to hire next time he moves.

The worst ever experience. Probably the worst shipping company. Never get into Across USA with any business. Trust other 1 star rating and you will be saved. FMCSA suggests to go with the review before deciding on the mover. Across USA will start with a sweet quote and there you fall prey. Stay away from this company. Else you will go through all this and regret later. I shipped my items from Texas to California. I have two cases filed, one at BBB and another at FMCSA against them. Reach out to me if you need help with the BBB and FMCSA complaint instructions and my complaint numbers for reference. And I recommend everyone to post the feedback to FMCSA. During the process I mailed Yair[CEO of the company], that I would post their feedback on Yelp, for which he replied, "Posting in Yelp will not help speeding up your delivery", and see how the replies from him on Yelp for every other comment in a very nice tone. Below are my feedback and How I was treated by Across USA: 1. Discriminated, by refering my financial status and Mr. Yair mentioned for the money you paid, you donot deserve a prompt delivery, Else pay $1500 for a guaranteed delivery 2.Intentionally delayed - Inspite of several requests to them to arrange for proper delivery without delay , they intentially refused to deliver it on time. 3. Tried to charge more by delaying and pressurizing the customer - This company intentionally delays and when you keep following they say we have a guaranteed expedited delivery option and for which you will have to pay $1500 4. Tried to charge 100% of the total amount with false commitment on delivery date by sending an credit card authorization over email and phone calls even before the items were delivered, while 30% has been committed to be paid only upon delivery 5. Trust Reviews from other customers, who have passed through the same phase and got the same treatment. You would find a list of other customers on Yelp who have gone through the same tortures. This company is a very bad example of treatment to customers. And this will spoil any trustful mindset in customers mindset. I want to keep it short. I have more than 100 email followups and several phone calls with Yair, Joshua and Randy of Across USA before my items were delivered. Finally for the damages they came out with $66 compensation and $120 for delay. And You have to sign a form to receive that, I did not sign the form, because its like writing a will for them. And below is the extract from the form:: I hereby release, acquit and forever discharge ACROSS USA MOVING & STORAGE, and any of its agents and affiliates, of and from any and all loss or damage to my shipment, premises at both pick-up and delivery locations, overcharge, delay, late delivery, and/or service related complaints. I further agree not to file or continue any previously filed claim, complaint or take any action including any State, City, Federal, Government, Insurance, Subrogation, Consumer, Public, Media, Internet, Arbitration, or Credit Card agency. "Complaints NOT including damage or missing items as noted on inventory at time of delivery. I further agree not to file or continue any previously filed claim (not related to damages or missing items)" Be prepared for this if you are using this company.

I will first say, while my belongings were still in storage with Across Usa, the company rep. Robin encouraged me to send a good review. little did I know, The nightmares would be at the delivery portion of the move. I only give 1 star because of Nick and his crew at pick up. They were great. My belongings suffered significant damage and breakage. 3 Boxes that were labeled kureg, kitchen appliances, cookware and misc. kitchen were missing . The driver was extremely rude and obnoxious. All furniture was brought in upside down. No kidding ALL of it. Leather sofa and loveseat were scratched and torn. arms of chairs, cracked and damaged through torn moving pads. Several boxes crushed and opened, with broken items sticking out. All was fine until I faxed a loss and damage report , now no one will communicate at all. I give up. Time to contact the BBB. PLEASE, FOR YOUR BENEFIT, READ ALL OF THESE REVIEWS. As well as the numerous BBB reports, before you decide to use this company. Then RUN.

This is a scam. They were late packing my stuff and the owner said he didn't care that I was late moving if i didn't like it he would unpack my stuff in the road and call some one else at the last minute. Awful! Rude! Scam!

On July 7, 2015 I contracted with Across USA Moving and storage to transport my household, home office and business office items from Chicago, Illinois to Warner Robins, Georgia. Their Chicago rep. Randy Stroh came to my home and looked at all of the items I it wanted transported, wrote down a detailed list of items I also wanted transported from my business office in a different location and we agreed on a price of $3189.96, he was paid by electronic debt $672.65, to secure the move and date of delivery. I was advised that the additional payments were to be made by "postal money order" to avoid a 3% file generation credit card charge. It was agreed upon that on the day of pick up July 12, 2015. That I would pay an additional 1681.62. On July 12, 2015, (Sunday) the moving company came to our home and picked up the items and then went the wrong way to get the office location. After finally arriving at the office location, they removed the boxes, file cabinet and desk that I requested to be transported, left a side table, but took the glass top and then charged my husband who was facilitating their entry, $353.00 in additional fees, that I as the customer never agreed to, citing that the drivers had to get gas because they almost ran out going the wrong way. I called the moving coordinator on Sunday 7/12/2015 who failed to act and then called the customer service rep Josh on Monday, who promised to look into the additional charge and get back to me with an answer or a refund. He never called or refunded the charge. I requested that my items be delivered on July 20, 2015. No one from the agency called to say that they would be bringing my property on the date requested When I called them on the morning of July 20, 2015 to find out their estimated time of arrival. The customer services rep. Josh Berry stated that it was company policy to deliver 10 and up to 14 days after my requested delivery date. After expressing my annoyance because the moving coordinator stated that if I secured my moving date with a deposit and the early pick up, my items would arrive on time. Mr. Berry then gives me a date of August 4, 2015 with no specific time for deliver, when questioned, he stated that the company could not give a specific delivery time. On August 4, 2015 Across USA did not bring my property and did not call to inform me that my property would be delivered. I called and discovered that it would arrive August 5, 2015. No property arrived August 5, 2015 and I called and spoke to Jerry or (Jair) the owner. He proceed to tell me that he could not give me a date of arrival, he would not allow me to pick up the items that were still in Chicago, Illinois unless I paid the entire delivery fee. He went on to say that if I wanted my items express delivered. I would need to pay the company an additional $1600.00. I told him that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB# 94564404 and document their shady business practices on social media. On August 14, 2015 the company informed my husband that my property would arrive at approximately 12 noon Eastern time. I had to leave my new job of 2 weeks to go and meet them, which cost me 6 hours of wages. The movers finally arrived at approximately 3:00 p.m and I paid them $1010.33- $150.00 of which the company stated that would reimburse me $15.00 per day for every day it was late from August 4, 2015. Once the movers begin unloading my property, I discovered that over 20 pieces of furniture was either completed destroyed, chipped, broken, scratched and damaged in some form, 15 boxes were smashed and or busted open. The movers stated that the owner had knowledge that my items were damaged, but told them to bring them anyway. So after $3717.60 and 32 days of waiting Beware!!

Francisco Solorzano

They will destroy your furniture. Will demand all the payment at front because they know how bad they are on delivery.

Nick and Edward came and helped me move today. They were on time worked very fast and helped me and my husband make this a easy move.

By far the most unprofessional moving company ever. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! There are a millions reasons why to stay away from these guys. My girlfriend moved to San Antonio from Philadelphia on May 19th. They picked up her stuff on May 18th with an understanding that she would receive it maximum two weeks later. It's June 10th, almost a month later and still no stuff. She's been living on an air mattress for two and half weeks and there has been zero communication still from this company (if they're even considered one). She received a call two days ago guaranteeing a delivery today between 2PM-6PM. I was gonna help her by being there because she could not get out of work until 5PM. She called all day today and finally got a call from someone that was VERY rude and said the movers were there at 11AM. Not once was she called to be informed that the movers were there, and the time was incorrect as well as to when the movers were gonna be there. SHE WAS GUARANTEED that the delivery was between 2PM-6PM, and they show up at 11AM and leave without even a call to say they were there. For the last two weeks it has been the same story with this terribly unprofessional company. ZERO sense of customer service and not once was she ever offered any type of compensation for the delays and no one from the company is remotely remorseful. There is NO communication from anyone at that company. I wish they would just go belly up, because they do not deserve even the rudest person's business. If there was a tutorial of how NOT to run a business these guys should be the example. PLEASE SAVE YOUR $$ AND GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE! I PROMISE YOU'LL BE HAPPY YOU DID. I'm also terrified to see the condition of her belongings when they arrive. If there is any damage, believe me, something will happen. This review will be updated with the condition of the items once delivered. Stay tuned!

Very professional moving company!!!! Brandy and his team were professional, efficient and careful. Moving was locally and the quote was reasonable. We actually paid less than the quote because we had everything wrapped and less time was spent for moving. They also moved our grand piano. They did it carefully and professionally. Moving Consultant Randys and Jerry were very nice and response and follow up well. This was my first use Across U.S.A. I am very satisfied with the choice. It has been a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend! Tony

Well Across USA has been very flexible with my move, I was moving to Houston but my job decided to move me to Dallas and they are willing to hold my items until I move to Dallas this upcoming Monday. So I hope once I get to Dallas there will be no problems, and definitely let you know how the end of my move went!

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! I was promised a pick up date of June 7 and a delivery date of June 15. On June 6 I was informed that there is no assurance of my delivery date even though I had been promised that the delivery date would be June 15 on two different phone calls. This company has the worst customer service. I have received e-mails for other people's contracts. They have called my cell phone thinking I am a day laborer. This is the worst moving company ever.

ABSOLUTE WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I do not understand how this company is even in business. That is how terrible they are. Our experience with this company was absolutely horrendous. I do not wish this experience on anyone and therefore want to warn others about this horrible company. Of course when we began calling for quotes they were very courteous and responsive. They quoted us a reasonable price and we decided to move forward with them. However, their helpfulness ended after they received their payment. When the movers came to pack our things, it took them over 6 hours to load our things on the truck. We have a very small 2 bedroom apartment and they had 3 movers. Needless to say they were not working efficiently and taking personal phone calls while in our apartment. One of the movers, a girl, even began screaming on the phone for over 10 minutes with what seemed to be her boyfriend while standing in our bedroom. My fiancé ended up helping load our things because they were taking so long. And the two male movers told the young girl mover to carry our 55'' inch LCD Tv by herself and she attempted to, but my fiancé ended up taking it from her and loading it himself because it was obvious she could not handle the weight of the tv. Then, they told us the price increased $300 from the original quote because we added a couple of boxes. Even though we ended up not taking our large sectional sofa and grill. How this was added up was a mystery. And it doesn't end there. We received a phone call a couple of days after they picked up our things saying we still owed another $400. We spoke to several people and explained they were mistaken because we were payed up when they picked up our things. They said they were not sure what happened and later had one of the movers himself call us and tell us he had made a mathematical error while at our apartment and that he undercharged us. This is complete B.S.and all this company is after is money, money, money and do not care about the customer whatsoever. This nightmare continued as we did not receive our things until 10 days later when we were told absolutely no later than a week. When we called to find out where the truck was, we kept getting the runaround and all they could tell us was that our truck was en route. We finally asked for the phone number of the driver himself and when we called him found out that he had gotten into an accident and the truck was in the shop. Please explain to me how that translates to en route??? When the truck finally arrived at our apartment in Chicago, it was another complete mess. We had to stand there and point out which things were ours because the truck was so poorly loaded and we even watched as one of the movers completely dropped a box from the top of the truck. And of course it was labeled FRAGILE and contained our glasses. And to no surprise we incurred several broken glasses. While at our apartment the movers discovered some bed piece that belonged to someone they had just delivered to in a nearby town. So we overheard him call the customer and give them our address and told them if they wanted their bed piece they would have to come and pick it up because they were going to New York next. They damaged a brand new cushion bed frame by improperly packing it and having it ledged in between heavier items. And NO THEY DO NOT REBUILD BEDS, TABLES, OR OTHER FURNITURE AS THEY PROMISE WHEN FIRST QOUTING YOU. Lastly, we realized they had not given us a box which contained all of our important electronic wires and charging devices and called the driver himself but he did not answer. We called to claims department and they will not return our phone calls. Bottom line: This was THE WORST service we have EVER received from any kind of company. We do NOT recommend them to anyone and actually advise people to save yourself the grief and do not even bother with this company. In my opinion they should be shut down immediately.

Fantastic movers, fantastic staff, fantastic company. Movers were polite and expeditious. All of my delicate items were moved with care and everything arrived just the way I sent it off. Would give six stars if I could.

I lived in a 4th floor walkup apartment in Dallas, TX. So I knew it was going to be an issue during the move. But the very capable movers from Across USA Moving & Storage made it all seem so easy. They packed up everything in a lightning speed. Then they very systematically started moving boxes downstairs. When it came to the big furniture, they carried those together. Not even one item suffered any damages. The delivery was made on time and all my valuables have traveled safely. I can’t thank them enough.

Worst experience ever. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Overcharged us and were two days late, broke half of our furniture, and refused to pay the insurance claim. The employees were rude and lazy, not to mention incompetent. The pick up crew got stuck in the driveway due to a dead battery from charging their phones they kept playing with, and the drop off crew got stuck in a neighbors driveway because the truck was wedged against the ground. You are better off breaking all of your furniture and throwing away 3000 dollars than using this farce of a moving company

John Velayas

First they under estimated the move, then they promised that I would not be charged for blanket wrap then I was told that there was not charge for the first flight of stairs. There were charges for everything. The result being that my move cost nearly twice the original estimate. Also when my boxes were picked up they were new, when they were delivered they look like they had been dropped, kicked and crushed. Finally, they will never call back if there is any issue. They lie, they over charge and they have terrible service.

I was really happy with the job done by Across USA on our move to NC. Everyone was so helpful and hard working. They were very professional and nice and took great care of all our belongings. They called us a few days before the delivery to give us an update and also called the day before they delivered to confirm with us the time. All of our goods were delivered and no problems what’s or ever. We were very happy with the whole move and experience.

Don't ever trust these guys...I would love to give zero starts if there is one such option. I booked their service to move one BHK from Dallas to Utah for ~1750$. It turned to be 2500$ while the move completed after 1 month. First thing, seems they don't own trucks and so they look available trucks on your route. If they get one immediately, you are lucky. Otherwise, you end up waiting for month like me. A month after repeated follow ups and phone calls. God knows, if I don't follow up how long would it take. Not to mention, for items in their ware house beyond one month, they charge you as if it is your fault. Second thing, seems they have ware house only in Dallas. So, if you happen to book any where else, they store your items in Dallas only until you are ready to pick up your items in destination. If you happen to be my case where you are moving to a new city and need to look for apartment after reaching destination, then you can't load your items on truck. They don't keep your items in any storage area at your destination. Either you have a residential address or end up keeping in storage area. Third thing, they send your items to destination only on 18 wheeler biggest truck on the road. Don't be surprised if the truck won't maneuver to your apartment complex and you end up paying another 300$ for shuttle service. Btw, they won't let you book shuttle from UHaul for 20$ rather they would do it and charge 300$ from you. Also, the driver won't even make an attempt to maneuver the truck into the apartment complex. He would simply say "I know my truck much better than you man!". In spite of my apartment authorities saying that they never had problem with any truck maneuvering the complex, the driver din't make an attempt. Why would he? Who doesn't want additional free money? Finally, the moving coordinator talks very lovely and promises that she won't sleep until my items are shipped. Don't believe them. All lies. After you book the moving service, she rarely responds to your call/mail and even if it would be a customary standard response..."I am working on it and you will be loaded into truck as soon as possible. Apologies for inconvenience". But they mean none of it. Stay away...You are warned....warned... Updated: They called me after a month requesting to update the review and give a fair status and for which they would share UHaul expenses with me. I believed them and gave a fair review and send multiple mails regarding my refund check and no one ever responded. I don't think they could run business like this. Anyways, that's not my concern. I just posted my experience, it's up to you to decide.

Serdal Kirmizialtin

DON'T USE THEM! Here is what happened to me. They gave a very good estimate and get the job. When truck came they increased the price about 95% (because acc to the laws they can increase the quote not more than the double) Even though the list of the items were the same. They wanted me to accept and I did not. They charged me $1000 without doing anything. Because in the contract it was saying: "Should a cancellation occur on the day of your scheduled move, for any reason, a 50% cancellation fee will apply. "

Martine Williams

I'm sorry I hate everything about this company except the nice receptionist who had them get in touch with me ASAP.. They are NOT clear with the quotes wants to charge before even delivering. I moved on August 21,2014 today is September 6, 2014 and I'm still waiting gave me some BS story about the date was changed. I'm NOT HAPPY and will report to Better Business Bureau bait and switch and still had the nerve to charge me for elevator FEE $75 dollars. CRAZY paid 2000 up-front CASH original quote was 2545.00 went up to 2920.79 and deposit of a hundred I HATE THIS company DON'T TRUST THEM.... HORRIBLE and I NEVER got an update on my stuff until I started calling everyone, FINALLY JOSH mysteriously called me BACK today .. I wish, I could give them a ZERO.. But I will let Everyone on every social website know how HORRIBLE this company is and my experienced. MY KIDS clothes school items are NOT here and I explained to Kenneth Walcott when I wanted my things and HE LIED ... He made many mistake on my contract refuse to admit he was wrong. I file a lawsuit against them for misleading in prices and had the nerve to charge me elevator fee..After never receiving my things until I called to follow-up.. Training is needed for your staff on Follow-up and being honest with the prices.

Do not choose Across USA for moving option.......worst moving service provider. My moving was from Dallas to Kansas City. They picked up the moving items on time from Dallas and charged half of the amount. This was a great experince and they were very professional. I liked it. They have given a delivery time and we both agreed on that. Worst started after that. When I reached Kansas, they started asking full payment before delivery saying that we are from different department and we take care of delivery. How its possible that one persone is giving only Quote and after taking half of the payment forget about customer.I refused to pay before Delivery and contacted to Management. Somehow they agreed to deliver. They deliver the items without any damage but they misplaced two items (Bed and Coffe table legs). The delivery guys started fighting to each other like small kids. Then after fighting they gave replacement for Bed but this was a misplaced item from some other customer. They took money and run away and just gave a contact person name to contact for missing item. Even more worst......i called at provided number and they gave me one more number and then started directing me from one department to another department...and so on. After one month they gave me a link to file a claim. That was more horrible. To get a small claim they send a big list to fill and send. Also that calim process supposed to take 90 days to 9 months. I don't have this much of time to waste. Finally, I left my item in their bin. God Bless them for their service!!

So my fiancé and I had to move from Fort Worth Texas to Portland Oregon March 17th, called lots of moving companies to get quotes, and Across USA were the one closest to our budget after discounts. Ragan the sales guy there was great and lots of help but w´very pushy, we were told the movers were their own and so was the truck drivers and the ones supposed to help with the delivery. Feeling happy with the amount of service the moving started and we were told that the truck would leave the same week - so we planned our trip to Portland to fit that schedule. The movers came and were amazing, and while looking through the paper work we noticed the first flaw which send off all the bells ringing. The quote we had discussed was for a little over 800 cubic feet and the paper work showed 700 cubic feet. I assume this is how they lowered the estimate to fit our budget WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE. Lucky for us we had thrown some things away and amazingly with the amazing packing crew everything now fit with the new ´"estimate". Now since the new apartment was located downtown Portland we needed to give notice of when the movers were arriving so we could contact the HOA to get the permission required for the move. (they need a 7 days heads up). A couple of days later we call to check up on the truck all to find out it had left without our things, and no one could tell us why. After several calls to Jasmin, and no one calling back, we kept trying and were redirected to Anthony the operating manager who never called back and never answered any emails. We Finally got hold of Jerry the VP and we were assured that our things would be on the next truck out, however they could not give us a delivery date, but we would receive an email with the drivers number so we could coordinate everything. Needless to say we never got an email. Towards the end of March, I had to travel and we still did not have a delivery date. After calling Across USA for an entire day Jerry finally called back, and explaining the situation he reluctantly gave us 1 hour labor service to help my fiancé unpack once the delivery was made. I was also reassured that we would be told a delivery date so we could coordinate with the HOA for the approval . Couple of days go by and we hear nothing, we try to call Jerry is not available but we can leave a message. 1 Week pass by no one calls, no emails, no communication. Meanwhile we are still sending emails and hearing nothing. We check with the HOA and we cannot receive delivery after hours. We call, and we email to tell Across USA. Suddenly April 4th at 5 PM we get a call they are ready to come delivery. Apparently no one read any emails or picked up their phone, or checked their voice mails.... So we talk to the driver, beg the HOA and the delivery can be made Sunday 6th of April. 20 Days after the pickup. 6th of April they show up with the paper work - Saying we have to pay for the unpacking despite Jerry the VP assuring us that they would assume the cost due to the delay in delivery. Not only that but the Driver and the help are not even employees of Across USA but a completely different company, despite Ragan the sales guy telling us that they were theirs, that did they background checks, and only used their own guys for the ENTIRE MOVE. To top it all off, once the delivery guys were there, they had been given the wrong number to call my fiancé to let her know they were there.... So in short: They manipulated the cubic feet to give the illusion of a better price Promised 1 hour free labor for unpacking service and lied. Promised the details of the driver to coordinate delivery date and never send them. Promised that it would be their own employees delivering and driving the truck and lied. Fail to keep up communication throughout the move to keep us informed. No one calls back, or responds to the emails. I dont know how these guys got good reviews, but suddenly Im seeing bad reviews flying in from just the past couple of months. And really wish I had known earlier.

I used Across USA Moving & Storage to move from Dallas to Chicago in August of 2013. On the day of my move the entire team was quick, professional and made the whole process of preparing for a cross-country move stress free. When I got to Chicago the truck arrived on time and the two movers were able to get everything into my place in just a few hours. I was very worried that a lot of my fragile items might have been broken in transit, but to my surprise after opening all of my boxes only one picture frame had shattered. Out of over 20 frames, ceramic and glass decorative pieces and dishes only 1 item was broken. I could not have been happier with the level of service that I received from Across USA. A little more than one year later I am moving again in need of services. I contacted Across USA to see if I could use them again for a move within the Chicago area. They are not able to assist me in Chicago but the fact is that I loved the service so much that they were the first company I thought of when I knew that I would have to move. I only hope that the company that I use provides me with the same amazing service that I got from Across USA.

I give 5 stars to the packers and movers! They worked there butts off! The reason for the 3 stars is because of Randy! If Randy comes to quote you... Ask for someone else!!! Ask for Carla Garcia!! She knows her stuff!!! All the problems were because of him!!! I read the reviews and most of the people complained about being misquoted.... That is Randy's job! He is the worst!!!! Don't believe a word randy says! We almost lost the sale of our home due to HIS mess up!!!! Thank god for Garcia and her crew! She cleaned up his mess! Get rid of Randy and the problems will disapear as well! His quote took 3 hours and he lied, straight up, to our faces! Again.... Ask for Garcia to quote you!!! She knows her stuff! She gets the job done!!! If it wasn't for her and the actual movers I would have given them 0 stars! She made good on all Randy's misinformation and mess ups! Seriously RANDY

Fantastic experience! Everyone, from the estimate rep that came over prior to the move, to the movers to the admin (who stopped by on a Sunday to make sure things were going smoothly!!), made an effort to make the experience most pleasant and made efforts that would keep our costs down. Would definitely recommend them, and certainly use them again!

The best moving job I've ever experienced. Would recommend them to everyone i know

These guys are pretty good...They move me from San Antonio to Dallas without problems..To be honest I was hesitant to move with a moving company but had I had no trouble..Their crew is super hardworking and they did whatever they promised..Cool stuff..Would recommend Across USA Moving.

Excellent service - thanks so much for all your help. Definitely would use again

MrJ S

What a con job. We asked them to move us on a specific Sunday. They agreed, sent a contract and we signed it. Later that day we realized the date on the contract was NOT sunday and we asked them to send us a revised contract. They said they would and then repeatedly told us that it would be "fine - Sunday is no problem". They refused to formally revise the contract for 6 weeks. We naively trusted them to move us like they said they would. The day of the move approaches and they finally ask us if we want to cancel since they are unable to move us on that Sunday - on the Friday before!! Fine. BUT then they charge us $250 for canceling despite having multiple emails showing our requests. The owner agrees to refund $150 but never does. I will update this review should they decide to follow through with at least a partial refund like they agreed. With a baby on the way every bit helps but I have a feeling we won't be seeing that money.

I will not waste the time to fully describe the moving experience ( they have already waste enough of our time) only Ditto the comments of past reviewers DO NOT USE this company.

Moving Nightmare made easy by Across USA movers! This is my first move in USA. So I googled and got more worried because of some bad reviews been posted by affected customers. So picking the right movers was not easy at all. So I contacted 5 companies including Across USA. The guy who came to estimate was the first good impression been created on behalf of the company. I really thank Eddie and Nick, who packed our items with good care. and the guys who delivered the items with utmost care. Even a $20/- flimsy book shelf from Wal-Mart, been delivered scratch free. I am truly impressed with your overall performance right from the visual estimate till the delivery. Normally the actual would vary from estimates, but I was surprised to see no difference, now that's called professionalism. Across USA is the best, you guys are really the pioneers in the field. Even pick up and delivery time was very punctual. The staffs are the real assets of Across USA, highly recommend your company to any customers who really want to experience 100% satisfaction. Thanks once again for doing my move from Dallas TX - North Carolina hassle free and immaculate. Note: A tip to all customers, please do a visual estimate before you even get a quote from any company, and give the job to AcrossUSA and sit quite and relax, you will never regret. Don't use Across USA Moving for Interstate Moves, they broker out your move. Across USA Moving & Storage recently did a move for us from Cedar Park, TX to Pembroke Pines, FL. We went with them as they are a Texas based HHG Mover, and OZZ our move consultant said they were not a HHG Broker. They Brokered our HHG move to a South Florida Carrier that was just horrible. Nothing got done like agreed, they even were throwing our boxes in front of my wife.

Across USA Moving team took care of wrapping our larger furniture, loading the truck, and then unloading it and placing things in the proper rooms once we arrived at our destination. I am very pleased to report that nothing was lost or broken during the move and everything was handled in such a way that I was confident our things were..

My son was graduating from college and he found a new apartment in Boston. MA. He asked me to hire a moving company to move his and his roommate’s stuffs out of their room from Dallas, TX and move to Boston. I hired Across USA Moving & Storage because they are just too good. They gave me a very nice quote this time for a 4-men-crew. The men went to my son’s dorm and packed up everything well. He and his roommate had already packed a lot of boxes. The movers worked very quickly and wrapped up all work in under 2 hours. I received the delivery 10 days later in Boston and everything was in very good condition. Even their storage facilities were so good that nothing suffered any damage. The men also unpacked everything and put the furniture in place at the new apartment. They really are good at all sectors of this business.

They were very professional and wrapped everything very well. They were careful not to damage my home. I would recommend them

A month late!!! They suck and I have split boxes and broken glass.

Very professional moving company!!!! Eddie and his team were professional, organized and respectful at pickup. No hidden surprises with weight/cubic feet. My delivery went very smoothly. Delivery was on time with the date they promised. Rolando & his team were very organized and professional. This was my second long distance move and Across U.S.A. has been a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

Across U.S.A. Moving is the very best! I direct an inner-city ministry throughout DFW and Across USA donated one of their moving trucks and their awesome warehouse manager, Eddie Medina, so that we could acquire all of our food supplies for our Boxes of Love outreach this Thanksgiving. Because of their generous partnership with Boxes of Love 2015, 628 families in need received complete Thanksgiving meals and were connected with a loving church near them that is committed to ministering to their needs for the weeks and months to come. Thank you Across USA.

Our experience with this company was awful. They gave us an binding estimate, then on the day they moved us they informed us after the stuff was packed in the truck that the estimate was twice the cost they previously estimated. By then we were in a pinch and had to sign the much higher estimate. Watch out because they don't tell you much up front and then they hit you with all the "hidden" charges on the day of the move.

I had an excellent experience with Across USA, the workers where very courteous and they were diligent in their work and fast but very careful with my property. They called to let me know they were on the way and arrived well within the time they said they would. They began working immediately and were amazing. Thank you for making our moving experience so relaxing

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The initial sales consultation seemed to be a very professional and pleasant experience, BUT that is where it stops. They continually fell short of promises and expectations on every aspect of executing the move. Their packing crew showed up 6 hours later than confirmed and then worked at a pace that even my 7 year old son said " Boy mom those guys sure work slow". I unfortunately was unable to be there for the loading as I had to start work at my new position out of state so my wife was looking after the loading of our goods, which was fine but as a result of the pace the workers were on at 10:00pm my wife asked one of our neighbours to come over as she didn't feel comfortable having 3 strange men in the house at 10:00pm by herself and 2 small children. They did not finish loading the truck until 11:45pm (which was 2/3 of a 5 ton box truck which all of its contents had already been packed by and been prepped for moving. The best part is once they were done they informed us that the new cost associated with the move was 60% higher than the quoted amount as the stuff took up more room than they originally quoted even though the inventory list matched exactly to the quote. The next 15 days waiting of our stuff to get from Houston to North Carolina was filled much the same attention and care. Finally our stuff arrived 2 days later than confirmed with many boxes damaged and items broken or ruined. Again FIND SOMEONE ELSE OR DO IT YOURSELF THIS COMPANY WILL MAKE YOUR MOVE MISERABLE!!!

I would definitely recommend Across USA to my family and friends. They were prompt, reliable and professional. They showed me that they are good moving companies out there. Thank you and I will call you again if I need to move.

My movers stole $800 out of my wallet, that I had taken out early that AM to pay them and avoid the atm fee. The company has not offered to reimburse me. I would not recommend these movers, they are not to be trusted, even if it seems cheaper in price. The service is terrible and they are dishonest.

Chris

This moving company rejected to provide moving service and run away after got my $800. Hidden costs, bad estimates, never trust the telephone sales.

All I can say is the have fabulous sales people who assure you everything will be okay and say yes to all your questions. I was in a tight spot so when they gave me a quote of $900 I said ok and signed. Only to be called back and told quote was 280 low. They would not honor the signed amount and said they would cancel and refund. After getting the manager, price was reduced by $100 and not wanting to start over I signed again, but I was under so much pressure I realized this was ridiculous and I should take their offer to cancel. I called right back, but was told it was too late, agreement was signed. FUNNY RIGHT I had a signed agreement prior but they were able to change it. I was reminded I could have cancelled when they called and put me on the spot in the middle of my relocation, but just hours later it was too late. They did give me some free boxes and tape, but not the supplies I actually needed. My pickup is tomorrow. I am hoping to be surprised with good news and to have a good pack out, but we will see. I hope to be able to come back to site and amend my experience with details of how well it went.

I loved how stress free the process was. I had to move in a few days and with super short notice they took care of everything from the quote to the crew everything was great. The person on the phone Jeremy knew what he was doing made setting up an appointment and how many guys and a quote that was within reason. I had a great move day and was able to have fun and enjoy my new place.

Yair Silverstein

The movers did a really good job packing all pf my furniture. The moving guys made sure I had a great experience and were real professionals.

UPDATE #2: TL;DR; While my personal experience of feeling neglected and stressed during my move would not lead me to recommend them to a friend, or even a stranger on yelp, their customer service team does seem to genuinely care, and goes out of their way to investigate issues and make it right. Even still, next time I move, I'll gladly pay a higher price to avoid any risk of a hassle like this. Outcome: They've investigated my case and sent a follow up. The highlights + takeaways: - If you decide their super cheap pricing is worth the risks of broken furniture, shady delivery drivers, and no contact once they're in possession of your stuff, ask to be connected with Josh early on. I'm sure he can be much more helpful and spare you a lot of stress if he's aware of the problems before he discovers them on a yelp review months later. - The pricing/quote discrepancies were explained, and sound reasonable. It just would have been nice if someone returned my calls, emails, and voicemails to explain during the move. - Again, if you do decide to use them, understand that "first available delivery date" means your stuff will arrive "7-16 days after that day". I had explained that the *latest* I'd like my things to arrive was June 20, and they decided to use that as the first available date, and told me that I could update it. When I called/emailed the moving coordinator, Ori, to update it, he agreed to see what he could do, and then never followed up, (nor did my moving rep, or anyone else I tried to get in touch with) despite my repeated calls, voicemail, and emails, so my things continued to be scheduled for arrival sometime 7-14 days after the date I stated would be *latest* time of delivery. - They apologized for no one returning my calls or responding to my emails. - While on the phone, Josh apologized for the driver who showed up by himself, and needed help unloading, and stated that it was against their policy to have a single driver make deliveries. However, no mention of how or why this happened, was made in the follow up email, so perhaps you can expect a single driver to show up with your things who you'll have to help (or hire additional help at the last minute) to unload. - I had previously refused to pay a remaining balance for just over $500 because of the issues I experienced (late arrival, having to hire help to unload the truck, radio silence, and shattered furniture). I did receive a very unprofessional call from them trying to get me to pay this balance, which left me feeling a bit harassed. Why they didn't pull Josh in at this point is a mystery to me, but Josh did agree to consider my account paid and pull it from collections, so that's nice that I don't have to fight to get that fixed. UPDATE: After you leave a review online, apparently they have a customer service rep who is also friendly and sincerely interested in helping understand what went wrong with your move. Will update my review with the outcomes ORIGINAL REVIEW: [Had to remove to original review for character limit. All original complaints are addressed in the UPDATE #2, except with the outcomes]

I’ve served over 25 years in the military and Across USA is the worst moving company ever!!! I’ve never had a moving company make my wife break down in tears the way this company made her cry! Keep in mind that many of their positive reviews are done by their employees and not actual customers. You'll probably see a new batch of high ratings after I post this unbiased rating of their performance. In a nutshell, the super low price quote you receive over the phone and the price quote once your stuff is loaded on their truck will be very very different! However, there will be a hefty fee to unload it back into your house or driveway if you don't agree with their new much higher price. The nice professional personnel that pick up your items will be very very different from the independent truckers that actually deliver your furniture. I'm sure there are many good, very professional independent truckers that do awesome moving work on the side, however the ones Across USA hired were absolutely awful according to my wife. That's saying a lot coming from her. Since she's a social worker she sees the good in everyone. She could find none in this crew that Across USA chose. These independents make a quick buck by driving their empty trailers to moving companies between your point A to point B. They’ll pick up your stuff and deliver it hopefully within the allocated time. In our case they did not!!! The manager of Across USA in the Dallas area called us while were in route on a Texas to D.C. move two full weeks after they had picked up our stuff, to tell us our stuff will be delayed another week? I asked why and the manager explained our stuff was waiting for a trucker that happened to have an empty trailer going to the D.C. area to pick it up? I asked why they were not moving it and he said he’d wouldn’t make as much profit on the deal if he did it with his trucks and personnel (Yes, he really said this!). My wife got so angry and stressed that she broke down in tears! Due to my lack of leave time, I did not have an extra week to spend in D.C. unpacking and setting up our new place, thus leaving her to do the unpacking alone. I had to return to Texas until my new job in D.C. started a few weeks later. We’ve never had a company blatantly admit they would screw us over intentionally the way this company did. Needless to say, when the independent truckers arrived, many of our items were broken to the tune of about $600 in damages. The moving contract said file any claims through a centralized claim website and when I searched for Across USA I did not see them on the list of movers. I called the company hosting the website and they told me that Across USA had themselves removed from the site and Across USA wants to process their claims independently. We were offered nothing the damages we received. If you dare to do any business with them, hopefully you will not have the experience we had? Now if you dare, let me tell you how to save load of money moving with them or any company. Buy all of your boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and blankets from a self-move place or big box department store. Across USA has up to 1000% markup on these items. For example Across USA charges $7.50 for a 12x12 box that cost .69 cents at Home Depot and other places. They charge $12.50 for a roll of tape that cost $2.95 in other places. Also contractually obligate them to use actual Across USA vehicles and personnel to deliver your merchandise on time! I hope this review help you and bring their practices to light! If Google charged for a zero star option, I'd gladly pay it to let you know just how horrible Across USA treats their customers.

Bad bad bad!! I had a move from Texas to California. Initially I loved this company. They were flexible and nice and I was behind on storage payments since I stored most of my items after my move, and they were flexible and kind about it. I called them in February to check in on things and let them know I was about to have a major surgery and I just want to make sure we are ok since I won't be working for two months and will be in recovery. They said that was fine. Fast forward less than a month after surgery they said if I didn't pay $950 right away my items would be auctioned off. I am still in recovery at this point and had spent all of my free money on medical bills. I pleaded with them to give me a month because I had a surgery and there is no way I can come up with a grand after everything I had been through. They said no way and too bad. I had to take out a loan to pay them $950. Fast forward just month after the $950 payment they send me a certified letter saying if I do not pay $800 my items would be auctioned off.. Now I'm just defeated from their bullying tactics because I can't keep coming up with a grand a month for them, I just started working after my big surgery and I have other bills as well. I also was confused on how storage had become so high and the answer to this is that they had tacked on $450 in late fees. I knew I had paid a deposit of about $400 and about $400-$500 upon pick up of items.. so they had $900 from me.... I had more items then they expected so they changed my estimated quote from $1200 to $2900 upon pickup which I agreed to because what could I do at that point? I had to get out of there. Upon all of this intense harassment and scare tactics on this companies part I asked how much was owed on the entire move and they told me $2900 ignoring both deposits and all payments sent in.. since at this point I only had a week until "auction" I needed accurate amounts on everything to get caught up which they couldn't provide yet they could easily contact me to threaten me and ask for more money. Upon pickup they also verbally told me that my storage would be $89 a month and upon threatening auction the second time the company tells me that they are upping the storage to $189 because they miscalculated my items width. So against verbal and written agreement and because THE COMPANY made an error in measurement.. not me.. they are upping my storage $100.. $200 for any storage facility is ridiculously priced and I think everyone wold agree on that.... On top of $450 in fees and two auction threats and incorrect moving info. the hits keep coming with this company... It's hard to find good moving companies in general but don't stop here for your moving needs.. keep looking....
