We had to move twice in 3 weeks because the builders were not finished with our new house. We had two separate crews and they were both polite, courteous and prompt. They worked hard and were careful not to break or scratch our belongings. We would recommend them to anyone looking to move. Thanks

Service completed 2/6/15. I had never used a moving company and had my reservations about them but knew I needed one because my husband could no longer lift heavy items. Google was my first line of defense to see which companies were the best in the area. The one that had the best reviews was Green Truck Moving Company. I scrolled through the reviews to look at the service provided and was very pleased. I contacted them and went through my list of items that needed to be moved from each room. They provided me a very thorough and detailed quote. When the movers came, they were very professional. They checked all items in each room that needed to be moved so they would know the proper equipment they needed to prep and pack the truck. They did not goof off or play around. They were very expeditious in getting the items packed and placed in the truck as well as unpacking to place in my new home. All items were intact and nothing was damaged when they unpacked it and placed it in my new home. I received courtesy calls throughout the process to make sure the movers were timely and performing their duties. I can't say enough about this company. They are excellent. If we move again, I know who to call. Great service + great people = super happy customer! Thank you for a job well done!!

Definitely the worst moving experience I've ever had. First they were late because one truck got into an accident apparently, but I understand things happen, and they sent another one that came about 2 hours late. However, when the guys came they had a completely wrong invoice that didn't list the items that needed to be moved that were previously agreed upon. Then the 2 guys started arguing about whether or not to load the items that were not on the list. When one of them picked up a lamp and brought it outside the lead mover told him to put it down, and the two of them got into a heated argument outside in the parking lot, literally about to fight. Neighbors came outside and started yelling at them to stop. In all that nonsense, they knocked over and damaged a lamp. The lead guy called the boss and said he never wants to work with the other guy again. All of this happened while they were training a 3rd guy...the whole situation was absolutely ridiculous. Later when reassembling a bed, they lost some of the screws to it and spent half an hour looking for that, and scuffed up wooden floors and the walls. Then after speaking to the manager who was already aware of all of these issues, he basically gave us the equivalent of $40 off and was angry towards us on the phone. I picked these guys because of the great reviews, but something must have changed with management prior to our move in April. Never use these guys, at least in the Nashville area.

My family and I have moved five times in the past eight years, and this company is by far the best that we have used. Ian and Cordell were our movers. Their work ethic was absolutely wonderful and they took great care and caution with our possessions. They were also extremely polite. We moved from Birmingham, Al to Nashville. The movers were supposed to be at our house at 8am, but one of the crew had a family emergency, so they didn't show up until 11:30 am. To help fix this mistake instead of sending out 2 men, which was the price we paid, they sent 3. The following day we were supposed to unload at 8 again, and they didn't schedule the unload until 11:00, and didn't show until 11:30 They sent 3 men the following day as well to fix this mistake, which was again a great surprise.The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 was the lack of communication from the company regarding the delay and their scheduling error. We are moving again in a year in town and will definitely use them again. The price and quality of move is 5 star.

We needed a professional moving company for a 2400 sq ft house move. Everything was staged and ready to go... a rickety old truck with 4 homeless kids show up. Yes homeless kids. How do I know? Not only did they ask for food during their shift, they told me they were homeless. They also told me the company were all about hiring homeless kids and providing them housing and a job. I thought - “wow, that’s cool!” Until I realized how scared these kids were of not getting paid for their work, and how the owners threatened to not pay them a lot. It sounded like a terrible situation. It also had a few warning signs of abuse and maybe even slave labor attached to it. Anyway, the kids were nice and they did what they were capable of, which wasn’t what you would expect from professional movers. They could not pack a truck to save themselves and told me the truck was full when it was about 30% full (I was paying hourly for their services mind you). I got to the other end and saw how light the load was. I then told them they needed to fill the truck more on the next run. They struggled on the next run and between four guys could not load the remainder of the house and could not take some of the heavy stuff like a big green egg. Did I tell you they damaged things? Yeah they did that too. Anyway, after almost 8 hours and two loads (equivalent to 3/4 of one truck load) I told them I was done. I told them I would do the rest. They then tried to charge me $1032 for the job, based on hourly rates. I told them I would not pay that, because they were slow. I ended up with the owner on the phone who told me I had a contract to abide by. I disputed based on the fact they did not send professional movers but homeleds kids, who DAMAGED THINGS, were slow and could not pack a truck. He then threatened to take me to small claims court. We settled on $700 for the job. A very expensive and unprofessional 3/4 of a truck move. I ended up getting a friend with a U-Haul the next day to remove the remaining 30% which we did in 4 hours. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND THE OWNERS ARE CHARLATANS. I feel like they are exploiting the homeless and defrauding the customer by saying they are a professional moving company. They own some trucks and use cheap and possibly slave labor. I mean it. Use anyone else but these guys.

BEWARE! Do not use this company. Dishonest and untrustworthy. The company was sold several years ago and is under new ownership. Look at their more recent reviews. On the day of the move, we were scheduled for an 8-9AM start window. No one called, no one ever showed up. We had to call around and finally were able to speak with "Mike" who said the truck that was supposed to show was in an accident (*remember this info*). He said a truck would be out shortly to start. Never happened. 5 and a half hours later, the truck finally showed. We paid for 4 movers. Only 3 showed up. The 4th showed up several hours later. So, 5.5 hours late and show up with insufficient movers. *When the movers showed up, the head mover told us the other truck was in an accident because the driver was "partying too hard". What does this mean?! Was he drunk or impaired when he wrecked a moving truck?! We should have asked them to leave right then, but sadly we did not. The work was slow and dragged on forever. We had packed all of our own things and staged them near the door to make it easier and quicker but this did not help. When they lift one box at a time, it is going to take a lot of time. A mover dropped a desk onto our wood floor. I was standing there and looked at the gauge in the floor, mover said "I didn't do that!". Seriously?! I just watched you drop it. Dishonest. They finally got the truck loaded and we were going to drive to the new house and the movers were going to follow us so they didn’t get lost. While driving, the truck pulls into a gas station off Hwy 70. No one gets out or does anything, they're just sitting in the truck for about 15 minutes...on the clock. The truck starts up again and we are heading down OHB towards I-40 when we see the driver and passenger light up and start smoking weed and are passing it back and forth while driving in a 100 ton truck. Totally unacceptable and unsafe! Police should have been contacted but what do you do when these people know where you live and are moving your things around your family? We get to the new house and the movers are now stoned. They proceed to damage more furniture (an antique desk my grandfather made for our family is ruined and irreplaceable), they damaged interior walls and our garage door. They finally get done and then you have to 'sign off' on the work for them to leave. They called Mike again and I spoke with him and explained about the damaged items and he became irate. He said he would not cover the antique desk and would need to 'talk with his insurance guy'. His refusal to discuss damages prompted us to inform him about what his employees were doing while driving in addition to showing up 5.5 hours late with no communication. When he was told they were using drugs on the clock - he was a bit more understanding and offered gift cards. (Just wait...this is far from over!) I filled out all of his 'insurance' paper work and turned it back into Mike....and waited....waited...days go by and nothing. I text him and I email to prompt a response and nothing. A week or so goes by, still have not heard from Green Truck, so I call Mike leave a voice mail and then I called again and he picks up! But Mike says he does not know what I'm talking about...? Really, I talked to you for like an hour the other day and sent you emails, texts, and filled out YOUR DAMAGE FORM and sent it back to you. You explained how sorry you were and how your employees using drugs while moving is not OK. I would think you'd remember that. Mike, without remembering the situation or my claim (per his words) proceeds to say he 'would not even turn this into his insurance guy' because it did not warrant it...(What?) He then said he would not cover the antique desk my grandfather made. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I hired these movers to simply unload our moving truck. What I thought was going to be the most stress-free part of our move turned out to be the exact opposite. I have moved +16 times over the past 5 years, and I hired movers for each move, and I have NEVER had movers as terrible as The Green Truck Moving company. They banged my furniture on everything that they could possibly bang my furniture on (e.g., steps, railings, walls, ceilings, countertops), and damaged quite a few items. I couldn't believe how careless they were at handling everything. They even flipped boxes upside down that were clearly opened and spilled everything on the ground. Also, they give you a 3 HOUR arrival window, which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever encountered in a moving company. Luckily, I didn't have to schedule a loading dock with this move. But no moving company has ever given me that large of a window before. I should have taken that as my first sign not to book this company. I signed the release paper, because these guys seemed really sketchy and they know where I lived; I didn't want any repercussions and would rather just take it as a loss. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it while you watch them break all of your things right in front of you without even an apology, even after you ask them repeatedly to be more careful.

We had 6 guys, Jacob, Daniel, Darnell, Michael Murray, Damien and Steven and they were just fantastic. They wrapped every piece of furniture and glass so there would be no damages. They did not hit walls and were very cautious with our belongings. They worked hard and fast and the only company who suggested 6 guys and 2 trucks to get the job done. Every other bid we received suggested 2 guys and 1 truck with the same number of hours...it would have taken them 3 days. I highly suggest this team to anyone in Nashville moving!

Warning! Do not use this company. Day 1 They showed up late, never finished packing which made Day 2 the moving day way longer. They also showed up late. Then they left me with belongings in the front yard and my garage still unpacked while the new owners began moving in. I had to call my parents and brother to help pack the rest up and 4 hours and 3 trips later I was moved out. Day 3 They came back with an entirely different crew to unload me into my new house. Many of the boxes were not labeled which was a disaster. I helped them both moving days spending hours bringing boxes out of the house and then unloading them into my house. My wife and I filed a claim for a few damages that were caused. After not getting any response from Mike through emails I finally spoke with him on the phone. He is unethical and does not care about his customers or apparently his reputation. It’s unfortunate because I did like Terrance and some of their workers which were nice guys. Only way to say it, horrible management! It was a nightmare and continues to be as they refuse to resolve or even look at my claim. I do not like leaving a negative response but I don’t want others to go through what I went through. I am filing a complaint through the BBB.

Not good. Very slow. If you want professional, experienced, and motivated movers, DO NOT use this company. They will take up way too much time, charge you way too much money for their service, and their lack of communication shows what little professionalism they really have. Not only that but their business office is the same, they will scam you, charging you more than you agreed on. They finally decided to give me a small credit and still nothing has come through on my account yet. Do not use this company; you will be terribly disappointed.

Both Jamie and Ryan did a fantastic job in moving all the items from our 3-bedroom apt. to our house. They were professional and helpful in not only in the move, but in bringing to our attention boxes that were not properly taped, which was corrected. Jamie assisted in packing additional items that were added at the last minute and I was pleased with how Ryan was able to move my round dining room table without disassembling it, as it has been done on previous moves. We have used the company before and recommended you and plan on doing the same for friends who plan on moving in June.

The Green Truck came out and did a large warehouse/office move for our company. Brien came out and gave us a very detailed AND ACCURATE estimate before the move. On move day Jimmy, Agee, Ryan, Cordell, Terry, Tank, and Ms. Linda worked all day to get us packed and loaded up! They didn't slack and they didn't complain. They were all quick to answer any questions we had and even helped us with some extras items that came up at the last minute. Polite and friendly. No complaints at all. Everyone at the office commented on how hard they all worked and how quick they got the job done. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend!

Worst experience ever, they damaged a lot of stuff, worked extremely slow, sometimes they were just hanging around checking their phones. Things that were supposed to be stored got mixed up with things that were not. So a lot of house items are in storage that we need, and the ones we don't they dropped of. The two men who moved me from Nashville to Houston were not only extremely polite and professional, they also took the time to make me and my mom feel very comfortable with every thing they were doing throughout the move. Inconsistent pricing can leave you with a bill much larger than expected, and larger than it should be. I had to pay the movers double their rate for the time they were driving... that's right... not for the time they were actually moving stuff, but just for the travel time. Whats sad is that the service was so good, but the pricing was not communicated well and was definitely a shock. :/

Very disappointed with my move. While the movers themselves were very professional, I felt the company was very shady with their pricing. They charge you 1 extra hour for "travel time" in addition to the time you are charged for the actual travel. If the movers show up to your location at 12 and leave at 5, they charge you 6 hours instead of 5. During the finally billing process, the second I started questioning their math, they pulled out their phone and called their manager to have me speak to him. He stated it was explained to me on my rate request, it wasn't, and they stated it was listed on my email confirmation. It was but made no mention the 1 hour was in addition to the other hours. Their rates were very specific, their fuel charge was very specific so why was this charge not specific? Pure money grab. I asked the movers if they got this a lot and they said, I quote, "all the time" Will never use again

These guys were amazing. I was given an arrival time of 11-3pm. At 11:05 they were there and got straight to work. They didn't drag their feet, wraped all my furniture, and got across town in no time. I had a 900+ sq foot townhouse that I moved from and it only took 2 1/2 hours to pack, drive 40 minutes all the way across town and unpack and that even included their travel time. To make things better they were by far the cheapest quote in town and I called EVERYBODY! I highly recommend that you hire these guys if you are looking to move!

Let me start this by saying moving no matter how positive the experience is hard and not something anyone wants to do. It's a time when you are packing up your life and relying on others to care for your things as much as you do. The Green Truck Movers were great! They were really responsive and dedicated to moving all of our stuff from one side of the city to the other. They moved quickly and rarely took breaks during our 9 hour move. The team was really polite and professional from start to finish. My wife and I can't say enough great things about the work the team did on site. Our site lead was Jermaine and his 2nd in command was Dominique. Both of them were GREAT! If you get either on your move you are in great shape. As far as moving goes this was the best experience I've ever had and I'd be happy to both use The Green Truck Moving Company or refer them again.

Horrible Customer Service/Unprofessional Experience/Damages After carefully reading reviews on many companies, asking friends from their experiences and seeing that the Green Truck had a great track record with online reviews I booked them for our move. I wish I could say that our experience was as good as others. We had a rather large move that required two trucks and two households. We had five men working that day. Two of them were highly professional, worked diligently and showed care in moving our belongings. The other three men were younger, standing around goofing off, accepting calls on their phones and making jokes with my mom instead of working. I don't mind polite and personal interaction, all of the guys were very nice but we felt they could have put their time towards what they were being paid to do. One of the movers broke the legs (yes 2) off of our office desk by not lifting it properly. The front door frame was damaged because it was not protected nor was the furniture carefully moved through it. Once our upright piano was moved onto the truck one of the men took it upon himself to lift the lid and begin playing it on the truck without our permission. He secured the piano with ropes and upon its' arrival to it's location the finish was all scratched up and in many places on the front completely rubbed raw. In the end they tried to overcharge me for the bill. I had to fight them for the contractual price agreed upon. They admitted their mistake. However, they would not reimburse for the damages since they had "adjusted my contract price". (Even though admittedly it was their error that the contract had to be adjusted!!!) I had to fight them to get the damages addressed. In the end we received $104 towards the purchase of a new desk. Not enough to replace it by any means. Our experience may have been rare and, again, two of the men were absolutely incredible to work with....but overall we wish we felt that The Green Truck Moving Co. appreciated our business more than they did. We won't book with them again.

I was given a time fame between 7:30 - 8:30 for their arrival. Terrance and Brian were at my house by 8 am. They were very fast and extremely friendly. While they never stopped moving, they were quick to crack jokes. Terrance really helped to calm my nerves once we got over to my new place. I had no idea where I was going to put any of the furniture and he helped a lot. I would definitely use the Green Truck Moving Company again and I would request both Terrance and Brian next time.

I have moved several times in my life. I have used movers only twice, with varying results. This last move, I chose to go with The Green Truck Moving Company. It was a comparable price and the reviews on Google were convincing enough for me to try them out. I was not disappointed. Dre, Anthony, and Ronnie were on time and ready to work. They wasted no time getting started. My children were there for the beginning of the loading. Dre and the guys were polite and wonderfully understanding while listening to my 10 year old chatter and ask questions. They worked hard and had my entire house (3 bedrooms, living room and kitchen) loaded and ready to go in 2 ½ hours. This was amazing to me, because my experience with other moving companies was such that I expected them to be slower. They were timely with the drive as well. It took them the same amount of time as it took me to get to the new house. I have worked with movers who drove very slowly and it seemed to take them a very long time to get to the destination. When, they arrived at our house, they unloaded and set up beds almost as quickly as they loaded at the beginning of the day (even with both my children under foot). They listened to where I wanted furniture placed and didn’t mind me asking them to move it if I didn’t like how it looked. Dre and the guys were very organized; and, after labeling where all the furniture pieces went when they loaded, they didn’t have to ask me which bedroom it went in when they got here. I was impressed that they had thought of that. Dre was very helpful in explaining all of the charges when they were finished. I was amazed at how much they seemed to care that the moving process was smooth and easy for us. I have never run across a moving company that was so interested in customer service. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has thought about hiring a moving company. If you are looking for the best moving company, look no further than The Green Truck. From the first phone call I made to inquire about getting a quote, the service and professionalism was top notch. Patrick was out to my house immediately, walked through the home with me, and listened very well about what was coming and what was not. The quote that was worked up was SPOT ON. We fell right in the middle of the timeframe that was quoted, and the amount of trucks/guys was perfect. As far as the crew is concerned, they were absolutely incredible. These movers were all experienced professionals. They handled all of my items with the utmost care. They worked very well as a team, and the best part is, they were a great bunch of guys to hang out with all day. They were kind, considerate, fun, and personable. After we unpacked, I called The Green Truck back to request they pick up my empty boxes. A crew was there within hours of my phone call, and 5 minutes later, my boxes were gone. I've submitted a claim to have my dresser repaired after the top was destroyed during the move. A box was placed on top of my new dresser that left a huge ring on the surface. The paper that was supposed to be protecting the surface was matted down and glued to the surface with whatever leaked on it and we've tried to clean it off, but it won't come up. The customer support is terrible about responding unless I call or email to get an update. I submitted the claim within 48 hours of the move. I called the first week and nobody had handled it or responded to my claim submission. After sending multiple emails, they said the claim had been submitted, but I've received no updates. It's been three weeks since our move and I'm beginning to think they are just stringing me along in hopes that I will forget my new dresser is destroyed. It's rare that I leave bad reviews and I've tried so hard to be kind and patient. The actual movers were super nice guys and the rest of the experience was great. However, accidents do happen during a move, and I would avoid this company in the future if they won't help repair the items they damage. I'd be happy to change my review if they would actually deal with my claim.

I had an awesome experience moving apartments locally here in Nashville with Green Truck. I needed some help moving my heavy furniture (kitchen table, dressers, bed, sleeper sofa, etc.) and they were able to move it very quickly with no damage or problems. Moving all the furniture from my 1 bedroom apartment took less than 2 hours total, and that includes driving time. They were also extremely polite and friendly. My husband and I sold our home and had to move to an apartment while the new home is being built. As moving day approached, we could see that our scheduled day was going to be rainy. I called Brien to ask if we might be able to bump it up a day to avoid the rain. Lucky for us they were able to accommodate the short notice change and we had great dry day for the move. Ryan, Patrick and Kris arrived on time, were very polite and professional. We have a lot of large heavy furniture and they took great care to wrap and handle everything. Part of the load went to storage and part to an apartment all within 6 miles of each other. The whole job took 7 1/2 hours. They really worked hard to get it done. Thanks for a smooth move.

Do not use these movers . They are under new ownership. I hired them because the original owner answered every review online and tried to help the customer with their issues . They dropped a 4 drawer file cabinet and destroyed it ,and lost a shelf from a storage cabinet. I was also expecting a credit for moving blankets per the contract. We moved into a brand new home , we had to ask them to put down the floor protection since it was raining. They tore up walls and woodwork. Some of the guys were great , but several of them were argumentative and disrespectful. I have made numerous calls and sent emails. Their standard M.O. is to say give me your name and number and the call will be returned, which never happened. Finally able to speak with Terrance Kennedy, the General Manager, and he promised to send a check for damages and credits. That was 3 weeks ago, and no check. Bottom line, they’ll promise all good things prior to move, after that it is like a ghost company. Avoid them if you value your possessions.

Update: This has now been several months, and despite having numerous calls, the last "result" from Green Truck Moving was that they don't know how to move forward on this, despite having paid additional for the "2nd tier" insurance. I appreciate the owner responding here, but this is still not resolved despite moving 3 months ago. I'd really love to give them a 5 star, as the actual process was great. However, their damage handling is non-existent and this review is to hopefully actually get any response back from them. My wife has repeatedly emailed and called them, but every time she calls the person is "out" that she needs to speak to. I hope this gets handled so that I can change this review to a great one, but otherwise this is going to have to be escalated by a lawyer as we have been unable to get a proper acceptable response of any kind.

I have used moving companies before in the past and I have to say this by far has to be the WORST one and that was only and ATTEMPT. I was quoted a different price, and when the guys came out he stated that I am so sorry that you were given the wrong quote but we will try our best to help you. We like to look out for out own (meaning because I was black they would see what they could do). Had to reschedule the move because I didn't have the cash on be that they wanted. Only the quoted cash, and that was before anything was moved. Talked to a guy named Ronald afterwards who wanted to come by my house at night after hours on a Friday night to quote my home and I didn't feel comfortable doing so so I declined and didn't hear anything from them until Monday morning (which I did not schedule) when they wanted to come out and move again. I was told by Ronald that I would receive a refund for my deposit (which never happened) and no one will return my calls. Being a minority, I wanted to help my people, but NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS UNLESS YOU WANT NONPROFESSIONAL SERVICE and want to be just another person they are scamming money from.

We've moved with Green Truck twice, and we really like them. Their rates are reasonable, and we've been able to get moved at times convenient for us. This won't be true for everyone, but they've moved our pre-packed, 2-bedroom house twice, and both times, the cost was the 2.5 hour minimum. They finished ahead of schedule and under budget! The only thing that broke was a cat scratch post which had pre-existing damage and was not really their fault. I was less than satisfied with my experience. The movers went far over what was quoted, things were broken, the guys started slowing down and working slow, and they didn't re-assemble the beds right. One was too loose and one had screws missing - if I didn't check the mattress first would have fallen through the frame and I could have been hurt. They lost the screws that they didn't put in so now it's up to me to go to the hardware store and try to find new screws. For all the money that was paid, I'm very disappointed. I would not recommend these guys. UPDATE 6/19/16 My mother, Tina, who is handling the paperwork, has called several times regarding claims we filed, and we still have not heard anything about it. I will update my review once we hear back. UPDATE 7/7/16 My mother has called several more times and still has not heard anything regarding a few of our claims. As of the last update, I was planning on adding stars to the review once they gave us the claim money. Since this has drawn out for so long, however, there is just no way that I can make this review any better. I really don't like to leave a totally negative review for a company, but I honestly cannot recommend these guys, and I honestly feel that they deserve a 1 star review.

These movers are great! We will use them again. I oversaw the move as they relocated my mom's possessions from a condo to an assisted living facility. The two men that worked with us were polite, professional and efficient. They patiently readjusted the furniture until my mom was fully happy where everything ended up. RUN, DO NOT USE if you value your possessions. They did not use padding, which is standard industry and asked prior to hiring and kept asking them during the move and now I have damage that cost more than the move. It just wasn't worth it and would never use them or recommend them. Then they come up with excuses as to why they don't want to be responsible. If they took care and did this properly is one thing but this was blatten excuse for not following the standard industry of using padding to protect the furniture. Wow, just saw the review. The company lied! Green Truck, it wasn't resolved and you DID NOT pay on anything to fix our furiture, you gave excuses and I have the emails that I will post if you continue to lie. You should be ashamed of yourself for lying like that. We did not receive ANYTHING for the damage you did and these are actual pictures. Lord Jesus, help this company to speak the truth and take responsibility for their actions. Amen!

They also scratched up the hardwood floors in our new home. They gave us 48 hours to report the damages, which gave us little time to unpack boxes. When we were packing up, the movers started arguing so loudly on the street, that a police officer let me know about it! As we set up our mattress, on the floor of our new home, we saw dirty boot prints all over the cover, which by the way cannot be washed! Insult was added when they offered to "patch up" our broken items. How do you patch up a antique ceramic teapot that my late mother gave me??? Or antique candlesticks from my late brother!!! They bragged about all the celebrities they had moved, I guess we were just not important enough to be treated right! BTW the green image is BS, since we actually recycled our boxes and paper ourselves and took them to U-Haul.

Best moving experience ever. Since I've been on the move with my work the past few years, I've gone with Green Truck 3 times, and each time has been a super positive experience. This last move was the best yet. Beyond professional and so friendly. This can't be an easy job physically or even mentally at times. Moving is stressful. My sister and I hired Green Truck to relocate our 88 year old Mom over the weekend. Wow! What a great team we had for two days--Friday for packing and Saturday for moving. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I cannot review their moving because we never got to that part. We had an estimate, paid our deposit, all seemed to be going well. The day before our move, they called and said that they were looking forward to seeing us the next week. They had the wrong date for our move. As we spoke, it turned out that many, many things were wrong about the plan they had for (from the amount of items, to the boxes needed) - it was very much like they did not look at the estimate at all! We cancelled and were told we would receive a refund of our deposit. That was on July 20th and, despite 3 more phone calls and guarantees that we would receive our deposit, we still do not have our money. Stay far, far away.

Hired this company to store, then to move my home belongings out of state. A broken mirror was paid for and a missing vacuum cleaner was replaced with a new one only after I spent weeks calling and emailing with no response. I am still missing items that were inventoried and lost in their storage: a lamp, step ladder and a large wardrobe box packed by me. I packed at minimum 30 boxes myself, and only marked which room they were to be placed into once transported. When finally reaching someone at the company, I was asked what the "contents" of the missing box were. I could not recall items within one particular box, but I gave them the identifying numbers from the company's inventory sheet. They could not locate my box or other items but offered me $50 which I countered to a minimal $250. I had downsized for this move so each box I packed was important to me personally and worth more than $50...and actually more than $250 as well! No response to date. Complaint has been filed with BBB, as well as National Consumer Complaint Database(NCCDB). Adding poor reviews on this site, Yelp, and anyone who asks. They believe their responsibility has been met. Clearly, it has not.

Shockingly unprofessional. Damaged items during the move, and I submitted a claim according to their own process within 48 hours. Took 11 days and constant phone calls and emails on my end to get them to look at my claim and give me a valuation. Now its been an additional 20 days since they said they sent a check for the damaged value in the mail. No check received, company refuses to answer emails, and every time I call they promise they will return my call within the day (not surprisingly, they've never called me back).

First of all, I would like to say that I enjoyed my Green Truck experience from start to finish. After calling their Nashville office I thoroughly enjoyed my set-up process for my move from Nashville to Franklin. I spoke with a very nice gentleman named Clinton that walked me through the entire process. This company is so professional that they sent me an email confirmation the same day I scheduled my move that explained all the details for my moving date. My past experience with other companies, this was not the case. On my moving day I woke up very stressed but the movers Michael and Allen were so wonderful that the rest of the day seemed simple and stress-free. I even had one large piece of furniture that I forgot to mention on my initial call but the guys had no problem moving it. I think they even enjoyed moving the piece because they said it gave them a good workout! I was so pleased I even gave the guys a hug despite them being so sweaty! I definitely recommend this company to anyone moving to and from the Nashville area. Great job guys and thanks again.

I recently was moved by Green Truck Moving Company. I received a quote and conformation via email. My quote did not match what was initially told to me, so I called to speak to someone. The second person said that the quote wasn't right and said she was going to send me another one. I never got the new quote. I called again and they assured me that I would be charged the correct amount. On the day of the move, sure enough I was charged the amount that was on the first incorrect quote. When I complained they said "It was on the quote provided." You can obviously see my frustration. Another thing, is that a leg was broken off of an antique piece of furniture. (I have now had a piece of furniture just sitting on its side for weeks.)The guy filled out a damage report, and took pictures and said someone would be in touch with me. Weeks went by with no calls, and when I would reach out, they would tell me that someone would call. Nothing. So I called again and Mike, who I assume runs the place, said that legally, according to the paperwork, he only had to give me $0.60 per pound. My piece of furniture is about 80lbs, so he said I could get a check for $48. Mike was very rude and did not want to help me. The guys who actually did the move were nice and worked hard, but the overall experience with this company was terrible.

When I googled moving companies and found The Green Truck Moving Company I was really excited.. then thought to myself.. there is NO way that they will have the best rates. I got quotes from 3 different companies and Alas!! My first pick Green gave me the best quote. The morning of the move arrived.. they were prompt (Andre & Terry) friendly but busy and on the money. It was a comfort to see that they weren't trying to waste my hard earned money and were very quick and efficient. I can't recommend these guys enough!! Not only did they not go over my quoted amount but I ended up paying slightly less. YAY Green Truck! =0)

This moving company was just fantastic. I honestly didn't want to pay a company to move our stuff since things have wound up "lost" or broken from moving companies in the past. These guys were awesome! They showed up ready to move and got right to it. My estimate a few weeks before was for a 12-14 hour move. These guys got busy quickly and moved us in less than nine hours. They were so careful about wrapping the furniture and getting it up and down the many stairs in our old and new home. The guys were friendly, polite and willing to do the work. Do not trust this company with your belongings! I would love more than anything to give this company a five star review, but I have been let down and extremely disappointed with their lack of customer service. It seems they just lie and will take your money and run. I used them a couple years ago and had a decent experience with them. There were a few issues, but the crew was polite, they wrapped everything great and we only moved a couple miles. This summer, we needed to make a several hour move. I called The Green Truck Movers and several others for quotes. They came in with a fair quote and guaranteed that the price would not be higher than quoted. I wanted to use them because they were a family run small business. I like supporting small businesses. The problems started on moving day immediately. They were late, called to say there was a problem with the truck. Hours later they finally arrived. We were told when we were quoted that they only have employees load and unload. However, there were several loaders without company shirts on and acting like they had no idea what they were doing. They were touching my husband’s laptop, asking if they could take the appliances (for themselves) from our rental house because we were leaving them there (because they belonged to the homeowners). They did not give us a great impression. They did not know how to take apart our beds, they lost screws to one of our beds, and really only one or two of the guys seems to have a handle on what to do. They failed to wrap and secure most of our furniture. It arrrived at our new home with scratches, a drawer missing, broken glass from art work, and in much worse shape than they found out items. A rug was dripping wet, a wet body mark was left on our couch (yuck) and items were just thrown in the truck. There was a big breakdown in communication from when they left our previous home to travel to our new home. They never called until we called several times just to find out their estimated time of arrival. We completely understood they needed to take a break and sleep etc, but just wanted to get an update so we could plan on our end. Then the owner Mike insisted the crew wake up after not sleeping but a few hours and come unload. So then we had crabby workers that just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. It’s actually amazing that more was not broken as they were unloading. Half of the crew was different than the loading crew. We were told the crew would be with us the whole time. The head crew guy was great. Knew what he was doing, but there were a couple guys that argued with him, were not wearing company shirts and did not seem to know what to do. After we were able to start unpacking and discovered broken items, I contacted their office. The women I spoke with was very polite and asked me to send her an email with photos and descriptions of all of the problems we had. I did that the next day and did not hear back at all. I emailed again, called etc. Finally the owner Mike called and assured me that he would take of me. I should never have trusted him. He sent me a claim form to fill out. I sent it back with photos and still have yet to hear from him. It has been weeks. I have called, texted, emailed several times with only a “I’ve been busy and I’m working on it” type response once or twice. We moved July 15th and it is now September 29th. I am so disappointed at the lack of service and care for their customers. They really don’t care if your stuff gets to you safe or not. I will never use them again and will make sure everyone I know never uses them either. Do not use them!

I will say it took longer than I expected because I've never used a moving company that wrapped every piece of furniture, like, every piece, so I wasn't expecting that, but that just shows you how professional they are. They don't want to risk any of your furniture getting damaged. Great guys! Oh also, Crystal was fantastic answering my questions and getting this move scheduled.

I've moved three times in Nashville using 6th man movers and Bellhops and never had anything broken. But this time I went with with Green Moving and I won't be using them again. They didn't seem to care if things were broken or mishandled, they just got it from point A to B. I don't recommend using them unless you just need a few large, nonbreakable things moved. Our move went well overall. However the boxes marked and covered with "fragile" and "handle with care" were the ones to suffer the most damage. The boxes themselves were torn and the items inside were destroyed. I have collectible teapots that my mom gave me and one of the super collectible ones, which was wrapped in many layers and tucked into a clearly marked box, was broken in half. A box with all my other important collectibles was a plastic tub that was broken in many places and a few items inside were broken as well. Once again, it was clearly marked for extra care. The only furniture that was damaged were our nicer pieces. I understand they are the heavier ones, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be protected and cared for as well. I'm a bit disappointed in the process, but I understand their goal is point A to B in a small amount of time, but I would have preferred to pay for more time knowing they cared about keeping my stuff safe too.

I advise nobody to use this company very unprofessional and treat employees like they are stupid. I am the john in some of these good reviews i havent worked there in months. There was always a shortage of hours on payroll checks and always had an excuse of why the hours was messed up but a very unprofessional business.
