During my move in March 2018, the original company called us an hour before the scheduled time and told us they had an emergency, which was of course not their fault. Imagine it was the afternoon of the day you have to move out, and your movers couldn't come. I called a dozen companies in Nashville. Some didn't offer same day service or they charged very steep prices. When I explained to Daniel at Good Time what happened, not only did they come within a 3 hours notice, but their prices were still very fair/affordable. I honestly wished there was an option to give them more stars. We were in a studio that was unfortunately very far from the elevator. Yet, the 2 movers were able to move everything from our old place (even with Nashville downtown rush hour traffic) to the new apartment within 2 hours. They were very professional. Despite being charged per hour, they didn't take any break, and they used cloth when possible to make sure the wooden furniture and floor wouldn't be damaged. It was dark by the time we got to my new place. One of the items I had was a black bag with rods for curtains and clothing racks. It was accidentally left on the truck. When I realized that after they left, I contacted them soon after and offered to pick it up. Instead, someone from their team dropped it off at my place. I don't write reviews very often, but they honestly saved the day with my moving experience.

Team showed up early and was very respectful and clean looking. They took time to avoid wall and floor damage. Only issue was their lack of directions. Not sure what the mix up was on their end but what should have been a simple 10 minute ride to drop off point turned into 30 minutes. But they did remove that lost time from the bill. I will use them again.

Our movers arrived at 11:15am – not between 8am and 10am so we got a late start. I was told they were late because they went to the warehouse to get some special packing material for the glass on the table tops. However, the packing material they brought was standard to pack breakables which should be normal. At 11am, I received a phone call asking how to get into the building and was asked “what are we doing anyway?”. One person did not have any experience packing. The packing was taking so long because of this that my husband and I ended up doing 85% of the packing. I scheduled a move that included packing and they arrived with boxes only – no tape, scissors or markers to label the boxes. My husband had to go to Lowes to get more packing tape. It was a very hot day and it took a long time. I rated the move good when I paid so as not to make them feel bad. I gave each mover a nice tip because they were exhausted. The movers need more experience, packing training, professional customer service training and they should bring packing tape and mark the box showing contents. Packing training should include how to pack a wardrobe putting the clothes in the proper order from how they are taken from the closet.

Setting up my move was easy and I enjoyed working with Daniel. Our movers were on-time, experienced, and very hard working. I cannot say enough good things about Sam and his partner, the movers. I was a bit surprised when they told me that my house looked like a 3 hour move, when I thought it was a 2 hour move. I was brought an estimate for a 3 hour move and was not pleased with the price. Luckily, Sam and his partner completed our move in 2 hours and I was not charged for any additional time. A few days after my move, I was contacted by Daniel to remind me that I had not yet left a review for their service. I asked for a copy of my final charge so that I could go over it before I wrote a review. The receipt was very confusing and things didn't seem to add up. Daniel spoke to me on the phone to explain the charges and eventually things were cleared up. I had not been over-charged, but rather the company's receipts do not show the total that you've been charged, plus deposit, and then an itemized list of fees or deductions that lead to your final charge. My advise - get complete clarity on your charges with Daniel. The company's billing system does not show charges, groupons, discounts, etc. very clearly at all. While Daniel was more than willing to take time to talk me through these details - he did more talking at me and over me than listening. His manner is pleasant and professional, but this company still has a little ways to go to get 5 starts.

I gave one star because the movers were very nice,,,,however...communication from the owner to them to me was the worst...on the phone trying to get your business...the owner is great...i was very upfront about what i had to move...he sent the movers over to my house close to 3 pm....they didn't finish until close to 2 am....and BONUS.....didn't; get everything out of the house.....i had to make 3 separate trips on my own to get the rest of my things...WHO DOES THAT?? Since the move was endless....and boxes (that were clearly labeled) ended up upside down in my garage and not upstairs in the bedrooms.....i bought the guys dinner AND they charged me for the time they took to eat (about 45 minutes!!).....!!! they charged me for packing supplies and equipment which I was told were gratis.....my move was in October...since then..i have been trying to get the damage form (as furniture was damaged) walls in a brand new house were scuffed and marked and chipped)..its mid Feb, and I am still waiting on said form...the new person there Paul is great and helpful but the situation is still not resolved....as the owner said he would refund the packing and equipment fees....still hasn't done...AND WORSE ..no one ever apologized for the endless move the experience..the fact that they didn't get everything..the move cost close to 1700 ....NOT WORTH IT....just an endless frustrating experience

The initial communication was great. I needed movers last minute and they were able to accomadate. My closing was postponed and they were flexible with rescheduling. The movers arrived on time and worked hard to get our items moved in a timely manner. Unfortunately, our dresser was broken in the move- not sure if it was dropped or broken while on the truck. The movers called the manager and I spoke with him. He asked me to send pictures and fill out a report. I waited about a week after completing these things, with no response, i sent a follow up email. Again, I gave it about a week and made a phone call- the manager asked if he could call back when he was in the office (completely understandable) however, no returned call. I had a baby and the dresser took the back burner. Couple of weeks later I called again, the manager again asked to call back when in the office.. he did return my call this time but I missed it and after calling back and leaving a message- he didn't return my call. My husband then called (same thing- manager asked if he could call back in 2 hrs but didn't call back). My husband called again the following day (over a month from the initial move) and finally was able to speak with the manager who informed him the maximum he would be able to give for our dresser would be $100. So frustrating. Had I known this a month ago, I probably would not have wasted so much time. $100 will not come close to replacing my dresser or the time I've spent dealing with this. I will definitely research the insurance policy for the next moving company I choose. Accidents happen, especially during a move and having no more coverage than $100 is not adequate when dealing with someone's entire home. Update 8/1/17 (3 mo later): We have not received the $100 for our dresser. I just sent another email so I will continue to update.

It was a total nightmare! The guys milked the time costing me more money, furniture was wrapped with green saran wrap, no furniture blankets, damaged one of a kind antique furniture, 1 dolly to move 65 boxes?! They wrapped protective boxes with the saran wrap? I caught them doing that & told them it was stupid and to stop doing it. I've complained to Nathan numerous times, left a VM during the move and no response. They're being reported to numerous agencies for their horrible business practices, overcharging and neglect! Con-artists and crooks!

I'm not one to give a 1 star review, but my experience with what I was charged has been less than satisfactory. I used Daniel and his guys TWICE in the last month. After reviewing my first bill there were some charges that I was not expecting and that were never explained to me. I called Daniel and he assured me that he was going to credit me for those. When the 2nd move came around those credits were not on my bill, but he again, assured me that I would receive the credit on my credit card. I have reached out to him multiple times over the last 2 weeks and have gotten zero responses from him and have seen no credits on my credit card. I am really disappointed because I trusted that Daniel would keep to his word and he didn't. Both moves went great, only 2 small breaks in some dishes, but the guys who moved me, both days, were friendly, efficient and did a really great job. These are the reasons that I hate to give a 1 star review, but also felt like it is deserved because I was mislead and lied to by the company.

I like to think of myself as a fair and reasonable person. I had a very light move, possibly 2 pieces of heavy furniture. In short, this move of a distance of 10 to 15 minutes away took 7 hours with myself and my 15 year old son helping. May I add, I have things broken and missing also scrapes and chipped paint on our newly painted walls. These guys have no business driving a moving truck nor doing this line of work. Slow, inconsiderate of my property, no regard of time! Huge disappointment!!!! Would I recommend this company? NOT A CHANCE!!!

I bought a groupon for $100 for two hours and put down a $50 deposit. They assured me it would take under 2 hours. (The last time I moved with the same furniture and distance it took less than 2 hours) They said it may go over due to traffic so I planned on maybe 2 1/2 hours. Movers told me they would be there at 3:30. I called at 3:30 to ask where they were and they told me they would be between 3:30-5:30. (They did not state that at first) When they arrived they slowly carried a bedroom suit outside. By the time they got the bedroom suit outside, I had already brought 10-12 boxes to the truck. They ended up taking 5 hours to move. They told me they would be right behind me when I left. It took them 45min after I arrived at my apartment before they showed up. My friend and I moved more furniture and boxes into the apartment than they did. They then told me the price would be $371 to move in my stuff so including my groupon and deposit that was $521. I told them that was ridiculous considering me and my friends could have moved it in half the time. They then told me they could do for $270 still being $421 which is more than I had prepared to spend. The boss was the one helping move. He kept changing the prices. He told me he would move be for the $150 if I felt happy with that. He then told me that I had signed a contract and it would be a felony when I did agree. We ended up paying the $270 to have them leave. The boss said 3 different prices that night and agreed to 3 different things. His worker was very kind, and was supportive of what I was saying. I would NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Save your money and time and find a legitimate moving company or move yourself.

So I recently had to move twice in one week. Out of my house that I sold and into storage, then storage into my new townhouse. The first group of guys showed up an hour late, which they told me 1-2 hour window. They were friendly fast and so careful with my stuff. They moved a 4 bedroom house into a storage unit in 2 hours exactly. I would give them 10 stars. The second move I had scheduled for 8 am and took the day off of work. A guy called and said a truck had broken down and he couldn't get a crew out till one. I started loading my car with as much as I could and taking it over myself. They finally showed up at 1 pm. They smelled badly of smoke and seemed not as professional and friendly as the first crew. They were SO SLOW, it took 2 hours to load and 2 hours to unload less stuff than the first crew in half the time. They also informed me the truck didn't break down and that the crew just never showed up. They also took several "breaks" like after every heavy item and "let me" take most of my stuff into the upstairs bedrooms. I helped during both moves and I seriously moved more than both of them combined. When they gave me my bill and it was for the 2 hour price I thought that seemed fair and paid them and they left. A guy there called me and said I owed for 2 more hours, I said oh no I do not, and explained how I moved most of my stuff, they smelled took several breaks and they took twice as long as the other crew with LESS STUFF! He apologized and gave me 25 bucks off my over $300 bill! I was VERY upset. I will be sending them my time sheet for 9 hours of moving service and a bill for a case of febreeze.

Words can't describe what an outstanding job Good Time Moving & Storage did recently. This was my third career relocation and by far, this group exceeded all expectations and prior move experiences. Good time movers initial quote was slightly higher in the competitive bidding pool, but the extra cost is more than worth it. The crew was on time, each day and they went straight to work. I was impressed with the cleanliness of everything, down to the flooring of the trailer. Everything was packed very well, loaded with care and unloaded where it needed to be. The professionalism and courtesy of everyone was top notch. I had awesome movers. Great attitude, polite, and courteous. My mom is disabled and needed to sit, these guys left the chair til last and made sure she was ok. They even threw in extras that we couldn't do. I wish i had gotten they're names. Not to be offensive to them...they were guys from Zimbabwe. Wonderful. I recommend them any time. They worked so hard and still were joking and polite. I wanna thank them. They made an already hard exhausting situation very bearable.

One guy was GREAT, the second mover was slow, on the phone, smoking and had to take a long bathroom break. Also watch out for hidden fees. They didn't show me on my initial bill, but they charge $40 per quarter hour if you go over, which is fine, but one of the movers was so slow no wonder we went over! I feel like I just got ripped off.

Used the service for the heavy and bulky things going into a moving pod. Showed when expected, very polite and friendly. Even though almost every thing they moved was heavy, they only asked for a 5 min break once. They padded, wrapped, and packed the container tight. Will use again if needed.

Horrible!!! Do not hire this company. It took two men 2 and a half hours to just move my 1 br 750sqft ground floor apartment with everything ready to go and I still have to move half my stuff because at about the 5th hour ($109/hr) I just had to tell them to put the boxes in my garage. So, now I am $570 down and a garage full of my stuff. The owner, Daniel, of course didn’t care because he got paid. If you want to pay for a full service but only receive half and movers that take breaks and talk on their Bluetooth then this company is for you!

Good Time Movers and the team were superb and did my move with such an ease. The company came and gave me a fixed price quote. The quote of one large van and three men was spot on. The guys arrived 15 mins early and got started straight away. They worked hard and with care of the goods and properties. No damage to anything and a polite helpful crew. I would use this company again for sure. Very pleased with their attitude to a stressful day... You rock.

Let me just start by saying if you’re thinking of using this company..DONT. Honestly the biggest display of lack of professionalism I’ve ever seen. The movers were FOUR hours late. Had to call them multiple times in order to even see where they were. Then while they were moving stuff, scuffed up walls/doors from the apartment we were moving from. When I originally called regarding moving, the person I spoke with said they would have tools to break down our bed. When the movers arrived they didn’t have the tools. Also, my boyfriend helped them move stuff so it would speed up the process, and it still took them incredibly long for only the big stuff in a 1 bedroom apartment. They FINALLY finished moving our stuff at midnight (yes midnight) and then wanted to charge us hidden fees we weren’t aware of. They wouldn’t leave without making us pay double what we were told. So if you want to pay double the money for terrible service, go with them. Otherwise, save yourselves the heartache and go with any other company!

This is a very poorly managed moving company. We were given a quote for a one day move with two trucks and it turned into a two day move and my husband had to go back to the first house with a borrowed 24ft trailer to get the rest of our items that they left behind! To add to the awful experience they did not handle my items with care....there are chuncks of wood Missing from my furniture. The movers were not supervised at all! I would not recommend this company to anyone!

Over 5 hours late and ruined several pieces of my furniture. Manager said it was my word against theirs...and told me he would be taking his coupon off of Groupon because it attracts trash. Let me tell you, they were so late that we literally moved almost everything we could, ourselves. We even had all the items they needed to move, out in the garage already. Should have been the best move ever.... but a far cry from that. Once they finally called to say they were indeed coming we had to wait even longer. We called them to get a new ETA and they had stopped to get something to eat. Unbelievable!!!! We did not pay for these services, aside from the $50 deposit, which I will be filing a claim with my bank to get back. I have pictures, before and after of everything, luckily, because I had just purchased them. Moral of the story, DO NOT USE THIS SORRY MOVING COMPANY!!! You will be sorry.

Called them on a Thursday for my move on Monday and they were more than accommodating!! The 2 gentleman were fast and got the move done in the time frame I had set aside even with having to move up 3 flights of stairs. Would highly recommend them to anyone in the Nashville area!

Horrible service with them the was very unprofessional they came and did the move a hour late and then they such in a hurry to get off that everything they touched they hit the wall with or dropped on the steps and even left some boxes sitting in the rain then one guy got on the phone for a bout five minutes then the other guy got mad and starting cussing not only that but finally got to then place and the guys got into it outside of the new place at 10pm this was a horrible experience so I didn't want to pay them so I called the main office to pay over the phone and the guys left stuff in the rain without even saying anything this was a very unpleasant experience for me I will never use them or suggest them to anyone again and from the pictures you can see they messed up my couch when they dropped it and management only wanted to give me 50 off for the inconveniences I'm so reporting and filing a claim today on top of that and speaking to Daniel he did apologize but tonight was the worse I wanted to add that at this point no one will take my call since I did a google review so I now have a damaged couch a damage tv that I didn’t know about til I open the tv box that it was in so now every one at the company’s I deal with know not to contact them

This company came through for me in a hard situation. I was on a very tight budget and needed services within 4 days of my call. Daniel was very friendly and accommodating, and really tried to work with me. The actual movers Shawn and Sam work very well together. They took care of my belongings and got a very difficult piece in a small tight area. They did not give up. I also enjoyed their fun personalities. It helped a very long and stressful day. This is a tough score for me. It should actually reflect a 3.5, which is not bad. There is however room for improvement. I do feel that with the small number of items I had to move, and the distance between residences off the Harding exit to off the Moore's Lane exit in Brentwood, we should have been finished a bit sooner. A tip was also brought up a few times, and followed by actually asking if I left a tip and how much. That is extremely tacky. I would suggest not ever doing that again. It's not professional business etiquette. All that being said, thank you so much for your services!

What went well...Overall the three man crew was very nice and worked hard for the most part. They are primarily the reason I'm giving a rating of 3 in lieu of a 2. I've been moved professionally across country with government contracted companies and there is a major difference as it relates to quality, but for a local move less than five miles away they aren't bad. What didnt go well.... They did not call prior to their arrival and claimed they arrived at 900 when my neighbor told me they arrived at 915. The crew ran out of pads to wrap my furniture and didn't thoroughly inventory the items. Unloading started to drag which doesnt make sense when there are three guys. They also bent my dryer vent due to propping it up against the wheel base of the UHAUL truck they rented. Per their contract I gave them an opportunity to correct this and was met initially with questions. Ultimately they agreed to have someone come repair my dryer vent, but he never made it or stayed in contact. What I would do differently....Would I use them again, probably not but nothing is missing or broken and I didnt have to move anything heavy. I'd definitely check around and get rates from other companies, and specifically look into the charging of sales tax.
