I highly recommend Professional Movers of Charleston! The team arrived early and had our entire house loaded and unloaded in a few hours. The guys worked hard, were very energetic, had great attitudes, and took excellent care of our belongings. The guys really went above and beyond with our 6 year old son. They included him and made him feel like he was part of the team. They helped make a normally stressful situation into a significantly better day!

I called to get a quote for unloading a moving truck for our recent move into Charleston. I was told that they did have availability for the date and time we were looking for, and that all I had to do was respond to the email they were about to send answering a few basic questions. Then they told me that after they receive my response, I would get another email requesting an itemized list of the big furniture, boxes, and all other items that would be in the truck to unload along with a deposit slip for a down payment for their services. All of this sounded perfect to me, and I told that that I was literally looking at the email while I was on the phone with them and I would be responding immediately, which I did. Two days later I still had not received the second email asking for the itemized list or the deposit, so I called. I called about 10 times during business hours but no one ever answered. So I emailed them again stating I had responded to their original email, and assuming everything was correct, that I was ready for the second email to move forward with the move. I never received a response. I looked into their website and saw that they claim they also respond to text messages? So I texted them as well. Never received a response. After about 6 days from the original phone call/email, I called again. Finally someone did answer, I explained my situation and even gave them an out by stating that if by now something had changed and they were no longer available , I still had time to find someone else before our move and that it would be alright. They assured me I was in the system and they would be sending that second email sometime later that day. Three days after that I received an email saying "This is Chris, we are have no availability for the requested date. We are completely booked with all of our prior clients who have submitted and sent a reservation form. We do apologize about our lack of availability. If anything changes please let us know." By this time, we had only 3 days before the move, we had to scramble to find movers last second and it put a lot more stress on an already stressful situation. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

Professional Movers of Charleston displays nothing but excellence, care, and attention to detail when moving your belongings from one location to the other. They arrived on time but not only arrived on time but gave me a 15 minute courtesy call to give me a heads-up before arriving on-site. They handled my furniture with care and their acute attention to detail to every item became useful when packing a small van to make sure it made it in one trip. They conducted themselves well and their hospitality was excellent. I would recommend PMC to anyone looking for quality & reliable movers at a low cost.

We used PMC to unload a 30' cargo trailer of stuff from our cross country move. The crew was extremely professional, timely and efficient. They worked extremely hard and diligently while maintaining a positive attitude. Pricing was very competitive, and you get a great value for the price. These guys really impressed me. The owner worked with me repeatedly throughout a day I needed to have an item moved, even though he was already booked up. Needless to say from my 5-star review, he made it happen. On top of that, the guys he sent were polite, professional, and amazingly strong. This is coming from a 190 lbs, 6’ 2” man who thought he was in shape, until he saw these guys make moving items that would be challenging to anyone look like a piece of cake. I would recommend them to anyone and, in fact, already have. Did I mention they did the job for far less that any of the other 4 quotes I got? Pros...

Perfect, professional movers. We moved with Relo cubes from UPack. These guys showed up on time and were very polite and professional. They had our two cubes unloaded with furniture placement and washer / dryer set up under the time allotted. Would definitely recommend and will use again. Great pricing as well. Thank you!

Fantastic job. Had a last minute move to help a friend move all her possessions and lots of heavy furniture into storage. Professional Movers of Charleston was recommended by a Realtor friend and they saved the day. Polite, professional and strong, they treated all her stuff so very carefully. My realtor suggested using PMC for my recent move. I contacted Chris, of PMC, just days before my move. My request was received with calm reassurance that it would get done. Chris also provided clear/concise billing details. Chris maintained periodic contact: reminders, updates, etc. The PMC crew made contact as they were heading to my address and once they were nearby. They were on time, courteous, professional, polite and prepared to work. After quick introductions, they wrapped, padded and loaded my furniture. My new address is a 2nd floor apt with a small entryway and winding stairwell. The crew draped blankets on the walls to insure the integrity of my furniture and the walls. The positive nature, high energy and courteous demeanor, of each member of the PMC crew, was refreshing. It was my pleasure and honor to meet such a fine group of young men. Hands down the BEST movers ever! I have moved a lot including cross country and I have yet to have a positive moving experience...until yesterday. From the initial call to the last piece of furniture was moved in, it was total perfection. No hidden costs, and the way they price is simple and fair. The guys on moving day showed up exactly on time, were so respectful and polite, and such hard workers. They literally had us out of our old home and into the new in under 5 hours. I want to start out by saying that my experience with the movers themselves was incredible. They were efficient, careful, and very nice guys. 5/5. The reason I rated below that was my less-than-pleasant experience with Chris, the manager. After the move, I noticed there was some scratching on a bedroom sidetable. I sent Chris a picture mentioning the damage, and I received a slew of texts which implied that I had scratched my own furniture to try and get a discount. I wasn't looking for one, since Chris had already been nice enough to take $100 off the top since the costs were more than I had expected & the fact that we had sat in traffic for close to an hour. I was mainly taken aback by the implication and his mention that once legal matters got involved, it didn't turn out in the customer's favor. I remembered that the scratching probably happened when I was assisting one of the movers in bringing in a tank, and following his direction, set it down on the sidetable. It did scratch more when I noticed that the tank was pinching a cord, and I suggested we move the heavy tank off of the cord, so I acknowledge some level of responsibility. When I spoke with Chris again about the sidetable, and mentioned that I was following his employee's direction to put it down on the table in the first place, he acted more hostile and said that actions speak louder than words after I thanked him again for taking the $100 off. I am not and was not seeking some sort of handout, I just wanted to try to politely figure out what happened with the sidetable and potentially share part of the cost of fixing it, but was immediately met with implications of self-damage and discussions of legal involvement. If I could hire just the movers again I would, but I don't intend to use PMC again if it requires dealing with Chris.

Without even sending a rep to look at my house, "professional Movers" rather a joke in terms of their name, offered an estimate of $135 to move the contents of my 2200 sq. foot house across town. No personal interaction, nothing other than an internet correspondence. How this company calls itself professional is beyond me. Will be curious to find out whether this review is posted.

Their energy was incredible after already having a 12 hour work day, they came to our apartment (3 stories up & stairs only) ready for another few hours of work with such ease and motivation. I’m a travel nurse and needed my stuff moved ASAP, while I was out of town. The guys came within an hour of my request, kept my animals from getting out, and moved my entire apartment into a tiny storage space. Pretty sure they’re amazing at Tetris, because I have no idea how they fit it all. They are 100% trustworthy, efficient, and communicate very well. They sent me a selfie with my stuff in my storage unit when they were done, which was comforting, because I gave these random dudes access to all of my belongings without supervision ☺️ They are SO professional and I’ll definitely be using them again.
