I called Gentry when I moved into my apartment in August of 2018. The process was so easy that when I bought my house this spring, they were the only moving company I called; I knew I wasn’t going to get better service anywhere else. The team that did the move this weekend was great! They were careful, efficient, and personable. They paid attention to the details to make sure everything ran smoothly. I recommend Gentry to everyone I know who is moving.

I've been calling Brian Crum at Gentry for years now for our office moving / repair needs - sometimes weekly - and he and his crew have never let me down. They're easy to schedule - usually next-day, and sometimes same day when there's an emergency - and the crew always gets the job done quickly, efficiently, and cheerfully. We had a big renovation project going during the summer of 2014, which involved moving furniture and cabinets and file boxes back and forth over an almost three-month period; it could have been a nightmare, but Gentry made it easy. Wonderful experience with Gentry Moving! The price was the best out of many estimates we got, the men were on time, efficient, careful and pleasant throughout the entire 10 hour day. I really appreciated how Gentry has an estimator come out to the house to look at everything that needs to be moved to give you a price instead of filling out an inventory online. I can't say enough about this company and the men who helped us move from a 3 bedroom house to another house. Outstanding job!

Booked them 2 weeks in advance of the move. They came to do an estimate 6 days before the move and then called back 15 mins later to say they were booked and couldnt do it. We had to scramble to find another mover. Stay away from these guys.

If you want piece of mind, DO NOT USE GENTRY MOVING COMPANY OR CRUMP VAN LINES for your move. I booked with them a month in advance for a local move, and they called to cancel my move just two days prior to my moving date stating that they were "way over booked", and then the owner Brian Crump would not answer my phone calls. Just please, do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache, and go with another moving company.

I've used Gentry Moving on several occasions, and have always had a great experience. Gentry has helped me move in and out of my apartment, in and out of my new condo, moved my mom twice, and even moved my Mortgage Company twice. They were not only very punctual EVERY TIME, but also competitively priced and often finished their job even sooner than projected. In approximately 10 moving jobs, NOT even 1 item of mine was ever damaged! Of course, in a state like RI, reputation is everything. With that being said, I will recommend them (and have several times) without hesitation. Bottom line...if I trust them to move my mom, then I trust them to move you!

I had a need to move my daughter from Florida to Rhode island quickly. I flew her home due to an emergency and was struggling to find a way to get her items (clothing, etc). Brian worked with me to figure out a solution that was more than reasonable and extremely helpful. I would recommend this company anywhere and anytime. they are fast at responding, extremely polite and treat each customer as a person, not just a load of stuff to be moved. This has got to be one of my best customer services experiences of my whole life and I work in customer service. Highly recommended

Thank you Gentry moving & storage company for service that was unbeatable. I called Gentry at 9am on Saturday morning & by 11am 2 gentlemen arrived. Not only did they go out of there way to help me with a last minute situation, they did it with such compassion & professionalism. Usually when there is an unexpected job added on to your day, it is done with resentment, but that was never the case with the men who came to my house. I recommend Gentry Moving & Storage to anyone needing this type of service. I know I will call them again!

We have used Gentry moving twice now for moving my son back and forth to college. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and CLEAN! These guys were great, especially because moving in and out of a dorm building can sometimes be tricky - LOTS of kids, and sometimes only stairs available! I would recommend them without question.
