We had a wonderful experience through a military move with Arpin. It was a short fuse move with less than 4 days from me notifying DTS and the crew coming to pick up our household goods. The driver (Dana) was experienced and extremely helpful by making sure my husband and I both understood the military move process. Crews at both ends handled our items appropriately and were very kind. There was no damage, and the driver kept in contact with us during the shipment to let us know of any set backs on delivery date and to schedule a date that worked well for both of us to deliver our goods. I would love to have this crew move us again, and thank them for their hard work and help in this stressful time! Would recommend them highly to anyone.

The sales contact was very professional and the estimate was incredably accurate. We got lots of help and free boxes while we packed. They sent a crew of four to help us out of a potential crisis four days before the scheduled move. The moving crew was fantastic; Competent Carefull Industrious Clean Language No nerve-wracking music Accommodating our requests Fun The office help was always courteous even though we must have exasperated them sometimes. Every commitment and promise was kept. No surprises other than the excellence of the service.

It was a very stressful time, lose of job and having to move after 40 years. They took care of me, and worked well with my local friend who gave them access to the place in my absence. Very good communication - very personable and courteous from initial contact thru the delivery.

If there is an option for zero stars that is what they would have received. These guys are the worst. They showed up a day early so we had to shift everything to the right. They damaged a bunch of my stuff and ruin my brand new wood floors....They denied the claim because the driver failed to mentioned that I had to annotate it on the shipping documents. DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER.... If you do ensure......that you annotate everything on your shipping documents.

I did not choose this van line. I hired a moving company that unfortunately chose them. I was given a window for when my belongings would arrive. Arpin called to tell me that the driver got delayed and would deliver the day after the last day of my window. I complained and they said he would arrive within the window after all. Then I spoke to the driver personally. He was very rude and said that dispatch was wrong - there is no way he can deliver when dispatch said he would. I called dispatch to get everything cleared up and magically, this rude driver was able to deliver on time after all. He showed up with his buttcrack hanging out of his pants and reeking of cigarette smoke. He refused to wear booties or remove his shoes or lay down cardboard even though I told him the room he's walking around is a nursery where my baby would be crawling. I had a maintenance guy and a guy from Verizon who automatically wore booties over their shoes without having to be asked. He put together my bed sloppily and when I pointed possible errors out, he said he wasn't worried about that right now. Then he smoked a cigarette outside of my front door while the door was open - I'm visibly pregnant and sitting a few feet from the doorway. He had 2 helpers with him that he spoke to so rudely and reprimanded in front of me. This particular person made the entire experience more stressful and sloppy than it had to be. Arpin should do a better job of screening their drivers.

Arpin is the best - very good attentive to detail, very personable staff and has the belief of going above and beyond the call of duty (and reasonable priced) . I received excellent service due to a medical hardship; they listen to my dilemna, made the necessary plans to help and the move went perfectly. I couldn't not have made a better choice. Cindy was on the phone to followup on our steps of progress and Bob, the supervisor, was on time, cheerful and paid close attention to details. This could not have been a more successful move. I packed all the boxes but the fellows dismantled the beds and shelves. I was amazed at how carefully they padded and wrapped the furniture. Everything arrived in good order and the men were professional, polite, on time, and helpful. A job very well done.

be careful!!! when you entrust your possessions to a mover, you want to believe that they will take care of things. Because they take your business you want some respect. My experience with Arpin and their local agents is nauseating.- they lie to you when they give you a quote. they make numbers up. they will say, oh, it's not the distance or the weight that makes the cost etc. they have a lot of stuff on their website. so, like any average customer, you believe this. When they take your stuff, and eventually deliver, some items are missing, others are broken. it is impossible to get hold of them. sometimes it takes a lot of calls to get to the people who claim to be owners, and they blow you off, because they are too busy. they refuse to address you properly, and refuse to pay you for damaged and stolen/lost goods. and if you have an accent, they treat you like you are dirt. I wrote to BBB, and this company blew them off also!! so be careful. avoid them like plague!! that is my advice.

This is a complaint about one of your straight truck drivers. He was very aggressive, tailgating me, switching lanes, moving up on the next vehicle and tailgating them, switching lanes, etc at above the speed limit, and it continued. I witnessed this Sunday, September 3 at 12:30 daylight savings time in Hudson, Wisconsin just before crossing the St Croix River into MN on I-94.

This company is the worst. There is a reason there are so many terrible reviews on almost every major review site. They gave us a 2 week window and then were a week late beyond that. When they finally arrived much of our property was damaged, which was not surprising after I watched the way they handled our belongings. Nothing was wrapped in any kind of protective padding. I watched them set our couch down sideways directly on a dirty New York City sidewalk. Our dining room table had multiple chips and scratches. Many items were damaged and whole boxes missing. The bill was over $2000 more than the “estimate.” I submitted a request to the claims department for compensation for all the damage they did. Every single claim was denied with explanations that made no sense. Throughout the whole process we had one contact person who was really difficult to get a hold of and often would not even return our calls. These people are true crooks. Avoid this company at all costs.

Could not have imagined a more nightmarish move or moving comany. Be careful of the false damages they will write on your inventory pages. I didn't catch it on mine at the start, but I definitely regretted it when their truck crashed and a good chunk of my belongings were damaged or missing. They won't admit fault for that, even though I have proof that the extensive damages did not exist. Good luck getting a call back or getting someone on the phone with any real information or updates. I was told repeatedly that I would receive a call back with more information... then the moving truck (which was late, a week beyond the allotted delivery date) showed up with no warning. Lots of damages. Pain in the butt to deal with their insurance company. Dealing with Arpin Vanlines has been a massive pain and the cause of too much stress. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We had 12+ boxes lost, serious irreparable damage, and they took no responsibility. Arpin Van Lines, West Warwick, RI, was contracted by the Army to move us as our final move after a 26+ year military career. Arpin subcontracted Thomas Transfer & Storage of Emporia, KS. The movers hired were DAY LABORERS with little to no prior experience, at their own admission. These men had access to 100% of our belongings without a background check. They damaged furniture, shoving dressers through door frames, rather than remove the doors, ripped off a dresser leg, and dropped a Sleeper Sofa out of the back of the moving truck, causing irreparable damages. Our goods were stored in their warehouse before delivery. Once delivered there were over a dozen missing boxes. Now, during the claims process, they're denying a fair settlement and low-balling the offers. My husband is a 100% VA disabled Veteran. They "lost" the expensive Cal King Sleep Number Mattress he needs for his bad back. I know, there's always another side to every story. Their side is they don't want to take responsibility because the damages total over $60K. We wish there was a NO STAR option for our review.

We have moved many times with the military but this was the easiest move ever. From the first visit by Craig to the final delivery everyone was kind, efficient and very professional. The estimate was spot on, there were no surprises. They were incredibly easy to work with and we had no damage. I highly recommend this team.

I moved from California to Oregon a little over a 1000 miles. Daly Movers in Garden Grove did an outstanding job of packing and moving us here. They are an agent for Paul Arpin Moving. They were on time, polite and clean. I was expecting a long time in moving but it took less than 10 days. I would highly recommend Paul Arpin and Daly movers.

The movers were fast and dedicated to not damaging our furniture and belongings. They were pleasant and ask questions and were open to our comments along the way. When it came time to unload our furniture only the owner of the company arrived and he single-handedly unload the entire house by himself! We would recommend Arpin and the Petaluma crew any time.

This is the worst company to move with. We have moved a lot including 3 times coast-to-coast. I never realized how bad things can get until we hired Arpin. They were an approved vendor with our employer so we thought it'd be ok. It wasn't. On the day of the move, the movers came in late and sat in their truck (literally just sat there) for hours. They were apparently waiting for more help. Their dispatch/project manager was incompetent. We had to call him three times and wait until 1 PM when things started moving...slowly. They packed in the most sloppy way, didn't wrap the furniture. Our solid wood bedroom came in broken. The bed is pretty much a goner. The floor mirror was broken and can't be fixed. Everything else is scratched/dented/dirty. As in ALL other furniture inclusive of dining room stuff, living room, kid's furniture...everything. When they put things together in the new place, they didn't bother to secure some things with screws, misaligned drawers causing more damage to the mechanisms, missed a few planks in the remaining bed's platform, etc. They ruined our bikes by taking them apart and losing parts/pedals. Who does that??? Some items I couldn't find at all. There's a 20K damage (conservatively speaking) to our belongings. And we PAID for this move. We filed a claim. Their insurance company is even worse. They are s.l.o.w, uninterested to help and simply don't give a sh.... . Don't hire them unless you want a headache of a lifetime and don't care about your belongings.

I have actually had experience with 10 different movers from across country to across town. 9 of these movers I would not recommend to anyone or would I ever use them again. Only 1 is not only deserving of repeat business but is outstanding: Arpin. From the office people to the in house movers, all Arpin people are accommodating and honest and hard working. don't even think of trying anyone else--call Arpin.
