Holy cats. Moving sucks. But Sheri Robbins moved the stars and moon to help us get the truck and tow we needed on the date we needed. The whole staff at U-Haul Oakland seem amazing (aka helpful, professional, knowledgeable, FUNNY, courteous) and made a hyper stressful experience so much better. Sheri even provided us with the contact info for "freelance" moving help and that person was also awesome. Best U-Haul team ever and we've seen a lot of U-Hauls.

Extremely Frustrating on line reservation system. The reservation confirmed our reservation at this location but actually had the truck at a location 25 minutes away. Also the online check in does not work unless you have a drivers license in the state you are picking up. Ridiculous! Unless you call the location and talk to a person DO NOT USE U-HAUL!!!!

I have been a customer of Iron City Self Storage on and off since 2008. They are the best and only self storage facility I'd use in Pittsburgh. Friendly staff, reasonable rates, incredible customer service! A++.

The general manager they have now is so much better than the last one. The last one would try to make you feel bad about not putting their business before your personal situation. He would make comments that were inappropriate and hurtful. But the manager Calvin that they have now is really sweet and very understanding. He actually tries to work with you if you're having hardships instead of ridicule you like you're in high school.

Great facility with very friendly, helpful, and courteous staff. They have the lowest rates within the Pittsburgh area and their facilities are the best, very clean and climate controlled, even for the smallest units. When I changed my mind about storing my furniture Kevin had no problem providing me with a full refund. He even helped me move it from the storage unit. You can't go wrong with this place.

Never store here. Each and everyday my things are there I worry. Based on each time I'm up there its a worse experience. Was told one price and charged another. The staff also tends to be rude and unhelpful.

Well I'm leaving a review Because I need you to understand the value of the person you have employed. Sheri Robbins, I've rented from her maybe 5 times now, but I've rented from uhaul over 100 times in different states and locations. I only start using the Bigalow Blvd location this year, and now it's definitely consider to be the best location in my book, I've never seen a dirty truck there, the maintenance on the vehicles are always done very well, the store is always spot less like super clean and smells good, the bathroom is always clean, and the customer service, I think she goes above and beyond and it's not just for me, everyone I hear her speak to, she gives respect and helps as best she can. I hope she gets recognized for this because like I said I rent very often and no one in your company has values and morals like she has shown.

This is one of U haul's self-storage facilities that also rents trucks/vans.i just needed moving supplies and It's not very user friendly, The entrance is a loading dock /equipment return bay with sliding glass doors and is actually on Blessing Street. If someone happens to be returning a truck or using that loading dock you can forget about seeing the entrance. Then you have to walk down a hallway lined with storage lockers until you get to a small room known as the office where you will find the essentials for moving. Street parking only . Residential neighborhood. Steep grade

The staff at this business is extremely friendly and professional. We had a really stressful month with moving and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They worked with me to facilitate our move into the storage unit. The storage units are very clean and conveniently located. It's extremely hard to find businesses such as this one nowadays. They are a model business and put customers first.

I was not able to sign in to the uhaul app during the truck drop off at the store and I had informed the uhaul customer service rep the same night and was told that I wouldn’t be charged the extra 20$ Service fees but I was charged the extra fees in the morning and they were not willing to refund it and the female at the store spoke very rudely when I told her my situation. I would not recommend uhaul to anyone. @uhaul Please improve your service.

I used Iron City for four years and each summer I've had great service. The units are spacious and clean, with a wide variety of sizes to choose. I could get my things anytime I needed, plus there were lots of carts to move things around. Payments and scheduling is flexible. This is popular for Pitt and CMU students because it's right outside Oakland. Sign up and reserves spaces early!

This is not a UHAUL place. It's a storage place that happens to lend out uhauls but they only have like 3 available. The man who works here is very kind and did what he could to find me a uhaul dealer that had the kind of uhaul I needed. I would definitely come here for storage if I needed that!

I am really angry for her cheating and bad attitude. I reserved a truck from 10am to 2pm, but the system in their office shows my reservation is from 9:30 to 1:30. I logged in uhaul website and show her the reservation, she refused to communicate and keep saying that my reservation started from 9:30. And she told me if I can't come back before 1:30 then she cannot rent me the truck because there is someone else renting the car at 1:30. it's obvious that she want to rent more so changed my reservation. She should at least call me before instead of telling me that when I arrived at around 10. I feel like she treat me like a fool.

Stopped in to purchase boxes and moving supplies today for an upcoming move. Guy behind the desk was extremely rude. I was nothing but pleasant. I asked a question, he vaguely gestered in the general direction of a sign that was behind me (and also blocked by a display which is why I didn’t see it). No words. Just pointed. When he checked me out, i said thank you, and got nothing in return. He was equally rude and non helpful to another customer.

I am big on reviews and sad to see all the negative comments. I initially purchased a unit during the busiest moving time of the year (July) with Iron City Storage (now U-Haul). I've had my storage unit going on seven months now, and never once had an issue. U-Haul of Iron City is conveniently located and I found the staff (especially Kevin) to be very helpful.
