"Recently I've had to ship large canvasses to various galleries around the country. Most pieces are usually around 6' square or larger. These pieces have a fairly high value and need to be properly packaged, insured and delivered on time. Everyone at Pittsburgh Pak Mail is extremely friendly, responsive and professional. They've come to my studio and packed, in some cases, over 20 pieces onsite and delivered within the week to a gallery across the country. In one instance I had a shipment that needed to arrive a week earlier than we had previously estimated and Mike MacDonald was on it immediately, making arrangements and helping with the pricing and logistics to make it happen. Pak Mail provided an estimate using photographs. After we agreed on their estimate to pack and ship to Phoenix they came to the house, picked up items and took them to their location, packed and then entrusted them to FedEx who called a few days later about delivery to my curb. Mike took a terrific care of my move to LA from Pittsburgh (yes, that far!). It was a small move that regular moving companies would not welcome at all and make it pricier than it should be. For this move, I paid almost $1,000 less than what I was asked for from brand name moving companies. What's better, I was able to track my shipment through UPS Freight. Also, unlike van lines, Pak Mail put my stuffs into two large crates; so there was zero possibility that my stuffs get mixed with others' or lost. Everything was delivered intact within only two weeks (2-3 days to make my shipment ready + 5-6 days to arrive at local facility + 4 days of memorial day weekend). Mike arranged everything from pick up to home delivery and he was always prompt to answer my questions and concerns. I've received replies from him within a day for sure; usually in 2-3 hours and sometimes almost instantly. In conclusion, I'd definitely recommend Pak Mail Pittsburgh!

My shipment--a Tempurpedic mattress and adjustable base with massage--needed to travel cross-country flat, not on end as many regular mattress are shipped. The Pak Mail staff in Pittsburgh crated the bed to ensure this need was met and communicated effectively to all carriers involved with the move. I was recently part of the acquisition of a marble baptismal font that Emmanuel Episcopal Church purchased from a third-party seller in Pittsburgh to be installed in the Memorial Garden of our parish. Pak Mail (PA) provided such efficient, affordable and courteous service that I had to come online to rave a bit. I needed to have a piece of art transported to me from PA to MD. They worked with me on a quote that found a great balance on cost, speed and safety. Now here's the thing. I am really bad with dimensions, so I knew that I loved the piece but I had no idea how large the piece was. When it arrived it was very safely packaged, no damage (important with anything that has to be delivered), but, at that point I saw how large the piece was and then realized how fair their pricing was. Pak Mail was awesome. I was moving from Pittsburgh to Brooklyn and didn't have any serious furniture, so I decided to have my stuff shipped. Pak Mail gave me the cheapest estimate, they were prompt and responsive both in communications and in picking up my stuff, and even reached out after the delivery to make sure everything was alright. My boxes were wrapped, boxed, palleted, and then re-wrapped, and nothing seems to have been damaged in transit. If you just need things shipped, this is definitely the way to go.

I went to Pak Mail Pitt to ship 3 of my guitars and an additional box all the way to Oman and I was worried (as I would be with any long-haul shipping company) that my guitars would somehow get damaged or lost in the process. However, I received my goods in less than a week and my guitars were in perfect condition. I dealt with Ana for most of the process; she was really helpful and seemed to care about the shipment just as much as I did! I'd recommend only this company for anyone within close distance to Pittsburgh, they will definitely make sure your stuff gets to you safely and on time. The last time I went through a shipping company it took almost two months for my boxes to arrive, and they looked to be handled poorly on the way. But Pak Mail really did an excellent job for a great price, considering the size of the cargo and I cannot see myself going through any other company in the future.

I recently closed out my parents' home of over 50 years in Pittsburgh and needed to ship irreplaceable family heirlooms to my home in Atlanta. After looking at cheaper options, like U-Pack, I decided to use Pak Mail so I could be sure my items would be treated with care. Indeed, Pak Mail came out to my parents' house to pick up the items I had packed myself, as well as to pack up the fragile items to their own (extremely high) specifications. Everything arrived a little over a week later, in absolutely perfect condition. Communication throughout the process was excellent. While not the least expensive option, if you want to be absolutely sure the items you are shipping are treated with the best care possible, Pak Mail Pittsburgh is the way to go.
