Really happy with Master Movers. I reached out to them online on a Saturday. Promptly Monday morning, Brent followed up via email and a phone call Tuesday for more details. After figuring out a date, Sarah contacted me the day before moving to finalize details. On the day of moving, Tommy and Greg arrived promptly. I did a short walkthrough with Tommy as to what needs to be moved (which included breaking down and assembling two beds). After the walkthrough, Tommy and Greg started moving stuff right away. Additionally, Master Movers provided wardrobe boxes, which meant we did not have to remove anything from its hangers. Tommy and Greg continued to move everything through the morning. After driving to our new home, they unloaded promptly and moved everything to the labeled (or directed rooms). They navigated both homes (new home with stairs) well and there was no damage to furniture or the homes. For larger furniture, they wrapped it up to ensure that everything stays clean and in shape. I'd be happy to use them again.

Steve and Luis were terrific. They were prompt, friendly and very efficient. They also had great senses of humor, which eased the stress of moving. I can't say enough good things about these gentlemen. I had budgeted for three hours, and the move took three hours on the dot. We have a 1 bedroom apartment, and Stevens recently moved our things across the country from Oregon to Maryland. Everything went great. The initial estimate and scheduling were easy, the movers on both ends were quick and professional, and our moving agent Brent was easy to reach throughout the process. We had a few days of warning for both the pick-up and drop-off, and the movers stuck to their schedule. We felt that the company was committed to good service, and that no one was trying to rip us off. Our final charges actually came in at $300 less than the estimate! Overall, Stevens did a great job with our move, and they really helped to reduce the stress of a big transition. I recommend them for anyone considering a long distance move.

This was the worst moving company I have dealt with. We have used My Three Sons in the past and I wish we would have used them this time. Master Movers kept my plant, forgot several items and were extremely slow. We had two unload destinations and they went to the wrong one first then tried to charge for the time. When they ask for a pre authorized maximum amount they actually charge you that amount. A move that should not have take more than three hours ended up taking over five hours. I would never recommend them to anyone!!!!!

This moving company was the best I have ever worked with. They were timely and careful with my stuff. The quote Karen gave me was completely accurate and I spent a lot less then I did the last time I moved with the same amount of stuff and an equal distance. Karen was also flexible with my move which was very complicated. She made recommendations that I never thought of and which saved me time and stress (how to pack my things, where to put my boxes, that I should do multiple moves, etc.). I would highly recommend this company to everyone I know and will definitely be using them again. Thanks Master Movers!!

I agree with the other uses who are confident that this company is seeding their own reviews. Let me start by saying that I have NEVER written a negative review in my entire life. This is my first. Ever. I was given a quote over the phone. In short, the quote was GROSSLY underestimated. It took more than double the amount of time that they said it would, which included OVERTIME pay as well! I answered every question honestly that they asked over the phone and when I called to discuss the issue they were unprofessional and came up with every excuse in the book. They told me in order to get an accurate estimate they need to come out and take a look. Then why didn't they ask to do that in the first place? Why am I being penalized for their poor policies? And the poor crew that moved me. They were told it would only take four hours too. They told me it happens to them all the time. Can you imagine going to work and thinking you are working four hours and then, surprise, it is a 9 hour job??? What a terrible company to work for. The crew didn't deserve it. And low morale was evident. I am a small business owner and have been appalled at the customer service I've received. I've been blamed, ignored, lied to, and ignored some more. All for a few hundred dollars. Honestly, they do not understand the power behind and importance of keeping the customer happy. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that they split both legs of my piano in a move that was LITERALLY one mile away. Oh yeah, and they also told me that after the first trip (because they had to go back for a second trip) I should have told the crew that I met my budget so leave the other items. The other items included the piano. Are you seriously telling me that I was supposed to leave my piano at the other house? Please do not support this small business. I am certain there are other small business movers who are honest, hard-working, and ethical.

Our moving process began with a phone call and the a meeting was set up with Brent Barnes, who is the moving coordinator. I liked Brent right away and really felt that he truly was invested in providing me with the best experience possible. He is extremely knowledgable and explains things clearly and concisely and is a pro at calming nerves!! He made himself available by phone to answer any questions and concerns I had right up until (and including!) the day of our move. So, bright and early in the AM Josh came over to get a jump on inventorying all our stuff....furniture, appliances, boxes (lots of boxes!!!) etc. Shortly thereafter the rest of the crew showed up with the truck. Over the next several hours, Sonny, Luna, Bucky and Josh consolidated, wrapped, protected and hauled everything out to the truck where everything was stowed in such a manner that our three bedroom house and garage along with items in a storage unit all fit securely in a 26 ft truck. It was quite the endeavor and amazing to watch. They were constantly communicating with me to insure that no mistakes were made. These guys worked so hard with only a couple of breaks, were friendly, helpful and unfailingly polite. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a move. They lowered my stress level a hundred fold and saved our backs. Thanks guys!!!

This was the first time I've us a moving company in my life, naturally I was a little nervous from all the horror stories in the news. My wife packed everything we owned in boxes with the items well padded. The crew show up and the appointed date and time in Portland, OR, and when to work, in pretty short order. The next day the truck show up in Bend right on time, most of our belongs ended up in the garage at our request, with all the furniture inside. I hope I NEVER have to move again, but if I do I wouldn't make a move with out them! Thank you Gordon, Sarah, Alex, Shan, and Joel, I'm very pleased with the service provided. BTY nothing was damaged.

Sonny and Tad from Master Movers were friendly and funny. They handled a few heavy pieces with ease down a double flight of stairs. They had a game plan to fit everything into my storage unit and it all fit perfectly. I couldn't have done it without these guys and when I need to move my stuff again, I will definitely be calling!

Terrible! Avoid these guys! I'm convinced the "5 star" reviews have been planted by the company--don't believe it. How bad were Master Movers? Let me count the ways... 1. They lied about the cost. When I was quoted their rate, they neglected to mention that it didn't include an extra hour of "getting to and from the depot". They finally mentioned it to me on the morning of the move, when it was far too late to do anything about it. 2. The movers were untrained. We were moving a one bedroom apartment's worth of furniture about eight minutes up the road. The last time we moved (with another company) it took 2.5 hours. This time? Four hours!! And they broke our coffee table in the process. The movers were polite and apologetic, but clearly stressed out and not as professional as they should have been. 3. When it came time to pay, I was slugged with a $500 bill (a full $200 more than I was charged by the previous moving company). I called the owner to complain (especially as we were lied to with regards to the depot-to-depot charge), and was told I should have complained earlier--then he might have helped me out. Really? Maybe try not lying to your prospective clients, and charging them a fair price to begin with. You have been warned people! Avoid this company at all costs.

We were soooooo stressed out about this move. We'd been in our home almost 20 years, and difficult economic situations forced us to sell our house and downsize dramatically. We felt overwhelmed by the task of packing our belongings and moving to some place new. But after talking to Sarah the first time we called the office, we began to feel a bit of the weight lift from us. A very sweet young man named Chris later contacted us and helped us decide exactly what we needed to make our move go as smooth as possible. Then the company field rep, Brent Barnes, came to our home. Brent's humorous attitude helped us forget just how stressed we were! And the estimate he gave us proved at the end to be amazingly accurate. The day before our move, a crew came out and packed everything in our entire house. They brought boxes and all the necessary supplies, and in less than four hours our whole house was ready to load onto a truck. Sonny was amazing, and he made sure his crew took great care in their packing and labeled everything correctly. The next morning, about half an hour before the movers were scheduled to arrive and load our things onto their trucks, I received a phone call from Ryan. He introduced himself and asked to see if there was anything we needed before he and his crew came out to start our move. This was perfect, because we had discovered the night before that we had some pictures stashed away that needed special boxes to ship safely. I described what we had, Ryan assured me he would bring what was needed, and just a short time later Ryan, Sonny, and two other guys showed up...several minutes early. We could tell right away these fellas knew what they were doing, and they just put us completely at ease. They were fast and professional, took great care, and lifted some things that I just couldn't believe could be carried by hand...and they made it look easy!! THANK YOU, Master Movers!! You turned one of our most stressful days into an almost relaxing adventure. I refuse to ever move again until they move me by casket to a graveyard, but I WILL tell everyone I know to call you guys when they need to move. It's worth it!!! And when I do, I'll tell them to ask for Ryan and Sonny, because those boys know how to get the job done well!

Not a plant, this is an honest to goodness review. :) Moving is stressful. We hadn't moved in 18 years so we were terribly underprepared when the Master Mover's team arrived. Immediately they relieved our fears and started to work. No task or item was too big for them. They worked fast and efficiently for the entire time. Besides buying a new house, hiring Master Movers was the best decision we made in this entire process. A big THANK YOU to our team!!

If i could give negative stars i would. This company is a scary and truly a bunch of scam artist. They even give your personal information to the workers so they can text you terrifying things. They do not finish the job. My husband and children had to unload. If they send a diffrent ethnicity to you they accuse you of being rich white people who should be scared of them. This company is down right out of control. We have contacted the bbb, ftc and our states licensing board. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT USE THIS COMAPNY! They even used our bathroom for over 45 minutes and still charged us for their time. I advice anyone to stay away! UPDATE: WE HAVE REPORTED YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS TO ALL AUTHORITIES... I'M SUPER GLAD YOU MESSAGED ME BACK. YOU WILL FOR SURE BE HEARING FROM OUR ATTORNEY'S AT THIS POINT. YOU ARE A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS AND WILL BE PROCECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW.

Master Movers crew showed up in Dalles, Oregon 15 min before ahead of time. Crew was very professional, friendly and just realy good people to work with. I also recommend Master Movers. I was on the receiving end of my sister's (from Portland, OR) belongings in North Central Washington state. The guys were at the storage unit on time, even with the snowy roads; unloaded and restacked everything in a more than timely manner; Josh, Bucky and Dave were very respectful of my sister's belongings, very accommodating (there were 2 units to fill), and very polite and respectful to me as well.

These guys are awesome. they were prompt, hardworking and very careful with my things. They were careful of my floors and did not nick any walls, doors or any thing else. I have always had my friends and family help me move in the past. But this time it was so nice to have professionals who know how to and do this often enough to have it down to a science. I am not planning to move again. But if I were, these gentlemen are who I would call.

I do not recommend Master Movers. They were unprofessional and careless. One guy seemed bent on tearing down and insulting the other. Several yelling matches broke out. One of the movers was getting a hip replacement the next day and clearly could not navigate the stairs and move at the same pace as the other - resulting in more time. (I do sincerely hope the surgery went well). They did not handle things with care and left things out in the rain. I called many times over the course of a month and was given the runaround with no recourse.

All the low ratings must be planted by "Three Sons moving" (even one rating mentions using them as a "reference"). They happen to be Master Movers biggest competition ran by a guy who split off from Master Movers. I worked for this company for several years, we were thoroughly trained and we were ALWAYS accurate, efficient and went beyond what our job was. This company is a great company, I've even had them move my mom two times. Please tell me who doesn't want the best for their parents? As far as complaints about broken items, you ARE moving. Google what to expect when moving. You should expect to break at least one item Every time you move, even so.... In the few years I worked with them I can only recall breaking an item on one hand. That's with as many as 5 or 6 moves in a day and as little as two. You do the math. Master Movers are far superior to any other moving company.Period.

Agree. The 5 star reviews must be a plant. They completely underestimated the job, showed up 3 hours later than their original start time, suggested we get another guy, when we got the other guy it took him nearly 2 hours to arrive, made us pay overtime even though they showed up late, and generally seemed unprofessional (breaks took 2x longer than they said they would, broke stuff, scratched walls badly). Save yourself the trouble and call a different company.

Master Movers not only moves offices and homes but even equipment! We had the opportunity to buy a piece of commercial equipment, but it had to be out THAT day. I called Master Mover's, they were on it and worked hard to accommodate us. They did a great job, wonderful to work with and the cost was less than they quoted!! I will definitely be using them for that one big piece or the whole house!!!

This was the first time using a moving service and I will say this was the best money spent. We have two great movers who respected our property and were very nice and didn't tire. We were only going to do the minimum of 3 hours but ended up using them 7 hours because they were so great and worked really hard even in the 90+ degree weather. I would recommend them to anyone.
