We have a house for sale that needed staging and as we started moving furniture out to the garage realized we did not have the strength to do it all. A phone call to Backsavers was the solution. They sent a crew of two ....Landon and Spencer to the rescue. They expertly moved all the items we needed to the garage being careful of doorways floors and chandeliers along the way. With their two hour minimum we also had time to rearrange heavy marble and wood cabinetry to make the spaces appear larger. They will definitely be called when the house sells and the move out is needed. A suggestion is before you call them to have a good awareness and preparation of the areas where items are to be moved to make it easier for them and quicker to do their job. They even cleaned up the baseboards and floors where the items that were being moved from before the other item was placed. And even better idea is to have a cleaning crew standing by when Backsavers shows up to really maximize the costs!

Positive, Negative and AREAS TO IMPROVE Our house closed on April 11th and we hired Backsavers for our move on April 13th. I had spoken with Josh and emailed regarding costs, estimates, number of men, timeline, etc. So glad I did that! Quote was for moving our 1200 sf 3/2 house, a hot tub, a large rock, and a 10x20 storage unit. The quote was WAY different than what the reality was. Quote was 5 hours with 4 guys. Cool. I had budgeted a bit more than that so had room if there were any glitches. I didnt realize the 'glitches' would result in 3 days of needing to pay additional fees (truck fee is $100/day!) It bust my moving budget by $900! So, the good part- DAY 1- guys arrived 30 minutes late but the 4 of them, Landon (lead), Chris, Jared, and Tim, worked hard, organized, were respectful, careful with our things, unloaded and ORGANIZED according to the labels on the boxes (color coded and labeled according to rooms in house, storage etc) so boxes will be easy to locate. Nice job guys! 2 guys needed to leave early so the job wasn't completed day 1 (and we had wanted them to move the big heavy things that we COULD NOT MOVE - hot tub, rock, refrigerator, etc) Sadly, we had to schedule a second day- with ANOTHER TRUCK FEE. Day 2- we had 2 guys and they were able to move the things in the storage unit but still couldn't move THE BIG STUFF. The items were NOT organized when put in our home, were just stacked 'in an effort to save us money' but now we can't find basic things like drill bits to hang curtain rods... Day 3- ANOTHER TRUCK FEE AND WE WERE TOLD there would be a 2 hour minimum- The 'industrial furniture dolly with 5 inch wheels" was NOT (let be be clear - NOT!!) what came with them on day 3. It took an HOUR to load the (drained, unwired, ready to go) hot tub from the back yard around the side of the house to the truck. No, I wasn't willing to "buy 4x8 sheets of plywood and add that to our bill" to make it easier. We have compacted 3/4 minus that the trailer sat on that they needed to roll the dolly over. They only had a small dolly that is named "Junior." Because of not having the correct equipment, much time (at $35 per hour per man) was wasted. (Just to compare, when we moved TO the house, it took 15 minutes for the hot tub guys to unload the hot tub onto a dolly, take it around the back of the house and set it on the patio. 15 MINUTES, NOT AN HOUR!) I will say, Day 3 Johnny and Chris worked hard given that they didn't have (or bring?) the correct equipment to accomplish what was needed. Talking with Josh about a senior discount, the quote for hourly per man was different than what was actually charged. In the end, they did not honor the senior discount. The price of moving the hot tub changed too but I was able to verify from an email what was the quoted price. THEN it was honored. Would I hire movers again? I would out of necessity because I'm disabled, BUT, I'd get everything in writing. E V E R Y T H I N G. What was supposed to be a one day move at about $1200 total ended up a 3-day move and over $2000. As far as I can tell so far, nothing was broken in the move. They guys did pack our furniture with blankets and plastic wrap and left us with the plastic wrap to dispose of. In the midst of this move, I was on a strict TIME line and by the end of Day 2 at 2pm, my house was 'presentable' for family coming for my dads memorial service dinner. Thank you to the guys.

This company was amazing! We ran into a problem with another company not showing up the day we were supposed to move, and this company within hours had a mover out to help us! Definite life savers. The mover they sent, Jeremy, was awesome! He managed to move everything out of my room within an hour (bed, dresser, and desk included). He was friendly, fast, and efficient. Would definitely use this company again and request Jeremy.

I just recently moved using Back Savers. I asked for a license and insurance prior to the move. Once the move was made and so much of my belongings were damaged I contacted his insurance. He is NOT covered for damage of your furniture or belongings. Buyer beware!!!!! He underestimated the job on size of trucks and/or equipment to move everything and wanted us to pay for his mistake. His own employees voiced their concerns on his business practices. Again BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

We had a wonderful experience with our movers! They were on time and well prepared for the large task ahead. They moved our five bedroom home with four guys in one day (10 hours). We never thought it could be done but they made it happen and they took great care of our furniture. They moved our full-size upright piano and 700 pound safe with ease. All of our expensive furniture was blanketed and shrinkwrapped. We were very particular with how we wanted things moved & where we wanted them placed. They displayed patience and Professionalism throughout the entire move. All of our belongings were unloaded into the correct room & all of our bed sets were assembled! These guys work hard. It's a tough business to be in. Rarely is a customer fully satisfied, but these guys seem to pull it off. A moving job is rarely perfect. Moving 200lbs of antique couch down two flights of stairs without a scratch...it's a back saver no doubt. Good guys working hard in a very tough biz. 4 healthy buffed out stars. Only God himself could do a perfect move, so if these guys are second place to God, it's four stars.

They gave a courtesy call, arrived on time, jumped right into the job, and didn’t stop until everything was professionally and space-economically loaded. (WRONG COMPANY SORRY, THIS WAS MEANT TO GO ON SKINNY WIMP MOVING COMPANY) Ok please read this, I am blown away. I have never considered a moving company but I gave it a chance. I called and got a free quote over the phone in less than 10 minutes. They were able to fit me in the week of on a day they already had someone scheduled because I explained my urgency. The team showed up and did the job. It kind of cracked me up cause they insisted on hustling to get me out faster, and the job got done as they said. I was surprised when one of them told me they broke something even though I hadn’t told them previously it was already a broken, it was a good sign of honesty. I’ll wrap this up. They protect everything in wrapping bubble stuff and we’re quick and Efficient. Would recommend 10/10

These guys are incredible. I called Josh after searching CL at 3 pm and his guys were able to deploy right away, reaching me by 5 pm. It was an urgent situation because my earlier mover had fallen through. Zachariah and Vinni were fast, no-nonense, funny, professional, extremely experienced and laid back and really got the job done. I got to UHaul just by 7 to return my rig and have them load the storage. Only because these guys were known to UHaul did they let me load storage so late. I would recommend them 100% and use them again.

This is embarrassingly long overdue but we seriously needed to thank Back Savers-Josh, Landon, Tyler & Jacob for their professional courtesy, their knowledge, their care and being able to adapt to a complicated, two family move from Medford to Texas. From the initial inquiry to the doors closing on that dang trailer, they showed patience, understanding and endurance with our family & friends. We had rented one of those drop trailers to be loaded within three days; these men did it in hours. They listened to instruction & direction & in arriving in Texas not one mirror, one sculpture, one antique, not one piece of furniture suffered. (The idiots that unloaded the truck handled THAT & I called Josh that day to let him know AGAIN how much we appreciated them!). We cannot more highly suggest them for a move of this capacity or just across the street. When temperaments arose within the family with the stress that accompanies a move of this nature, while apologizing one of the guys said, “You’re moving - this happens” being very gracious in an uncomfortable situation. From four very happy adults, now flourishing in Texas (who knew?!?) thank you, Back Savers. and ps~their rates were MORE than reasonable.

JOSH!!! you were supposed to replace the t.v. that your employees broke! You brought us a replacement t.v. that had a blown speaker and picture issues. Do you remember? You said you would replace it with something comparable to the one we had and that was NEVER DONE. We were supposed to receive $150.00 to go and buy a used t.v.. My husband called you. I can put up picture's of your conversation if you would like to see everything YOU promised. We found several t.v. and you would not respond. If you want your review changed KEEP YOUR WORD.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY LESS THAN A ONE I WOULD. The owner knew I was unhappy because he didn't tell me he had a four (4) hour minimum until the day of the move. My move took about 2 1/2 hours so I ended up paying approximately $240 an hour. Most movers charge under $100 an hour. The owner then offered to refund me $50 to my PayPal account. But because I didn't write him a new review (this is the new review) he contacted PayPal and had the money reversed back to him. This all happened in less then two days and one of the days was THANKSGIVING. On top of that, during the Thanksgiving break he called or texted me twice a day to redo my review. I was going to increase the rating but not now. I am not happy. Nothing has been "sorted out."

We had an incredibly super experience with both you and your team, in our case Landon and Johnny, who worked so hard to pack up our home in Jacksonville, Oregon, so carefully, well blanketed, and then trek the 26 foot Penske truck nearly 3000 miles, to Asheville, North Carolina!
