Great service! Moves fast & efficient

These movers are not "experts" at anything, least of all moving. First of all, they showed up 5 hours and 40 minutes late. There apparently was some issue with their moving truck. Instead of sending out another truck, they kept me waiting for nearly six hours until they got a U-Haul. Secondly, I asked repeatedly--when I initially called, when I called the day before to confirm, when they arrived, and as they were packing the truck--whether they'd be using moving pads. "Oh, yes," they assured me. They didn't use moving pads, and they left very visible scratches and dents in my dining room table and office desks. The movers got upset at me when I told their boss over the phone that they didn't use moving pads, even though I saw them sitting on the floor of the U-Haul. They would not reduce the price, despite their excessively late arrival and the damage to my property. When I spoke with the boss on the phone, he promised me the assessor would call to assess the damage. He never called, and they never responded to my calls. The movers were rude and unprofessional, and the company treats its clients and their property very poorly.

Movers were awesome. John was really on point directing the crew while moving our home. The crew members were friendly and handled our furniture with special care. I would refer these gentlemen to anyone needing movers services. Thank you guys so much . DT

These movers showed up an hour and 15 minutes late. We bought their services through Groupon and then when we called they said they would charge us an additional $49. Then when they got there they said it would be an additional $128 dollars. Then when they got to the new house they raised the price again, adding time they spent coming from the warehouse and deliberately wasting time. The manager was a jerk and we felt completely manipulated. We had to pay them before they would unload the truck and so there was no way to fight it.

I hired Expert Movers because the gentleman was professional on the phone, their hourly rate was reasonable, they seemed to have decent references, they'd reinstall my appliances, and they were available with a 26 foot truck. We scheduled the move for 8:00 am on 5/30. The movers showed up at 9:50, almost 2 hours late. FAIL. Website says they're always on-time. We spent the 1st 15 minutes going over the contract. Things that were not disclosed during my initial phone call: Pay for travel time to my house, anything over 8 hours is billed at time and one half, they do not reinstall appliances and they only take cash or credit card with 2.75% fee. I was not happy with these new conditions but what do you do on moving day. FAIL for non-disclosure. I had 13 pieces of furniture for the first load, and approx 30 boxes stacked in the living room plus two tables and a refrigerator for the 2nd load. My estimate for moving was 6 hours plus 1 hour drive time. I guaranteed them 8 hours. Everything was mapped out and organized and ready to go. There were no hurdles coming in and out. The guys moved slow, wasted time wrapping and shuffling. Only one of the two actually moved things. The first load was only an hour behind schedule. I bought the guys lunch. They were to deduct 20 minutes. I've never seen two guys move slower and more inefficiently than these two when it came to moving 30 boxes. FAIL. Milking the customer for added time. I had 30 garbage bags of trash. We asked to load these on the back of the truck. The guy single stacked the boxes, leaving no room for the bags, and then offered a side business to haul away. FAIL. Ulterior motive. Finally the bill. We started 2 hours late and ended at 7. I'm being charged 2.75 hours overtime. Apparently it took 1 1/2 hours to drive from their location (13 miles) to my house as they started the clock at 8:15 and arrived at 9:45. I refused to pay the overtime. They reduced the bill to just straight time. But I still paid for 10.75 hours when they were only there 9 hours plus whatever drive time they claim for 13 miles. FAIL. Math isn't correct on invoice. OVERPAID 1.25 hours @ $79. No chance of a refund. SHADY COMPANY that gets only one star. The movers were nice. Use them at your own risk.

Charged me for driving time, broke my dining table and did not replace it offered bit to charge me for driving time back to their location. Moved very few things. I was vey unhappy with the service.

With only 2.3 stars, I knew it was risky but I had a no call no show from Convenient Movers on a Saturday afternoon and I was pressed for time. I must say that I was thoroughly impressed! Apparently the company is under new management now and it definitely shows! They were out to me w/in an hour of me calling on a Saturday afternoon. They were fast, efficient and very knowlegdeable. Very professional and personable. I am extremely happy with their service and would definitely recommend.

I used them yesterday to move my apartment. Lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and just moving up the road. First off was suppose to be there at 9 and i called and he said that the rain delayed them and they were filling up the truck. Okay that's fine no big deal but a call would have been nice. They get there at 10:30 and they moved so slow. We used them for 3 hours and they didn't even get half my apartment. So I paid them and sent them on there way. I believe his name was Derrick and he was on his phone most the time. Very upset because I ended up having to move the rest of it on my own and no help. It took all the money I had to hire them for nothing. Won't be using them again.
