We moved from a house to an apartment and changed storage units in July. We selected Few Moves based on personal recommendations and the positive reviews. We did not have the positive experience everyone else reported. 1 month later we are still chasing Matt to schedule furniture repairs. He does not respond to calls or email. We actually have to go to the office to spark action. We are still hopeful something positive will come of this. Update: The furniture repair company Few Moves works with is top of the line. Few Moves management team has been more responsive. We would consider using them in the future because everyone can have a bad day, it is how you fix it that shows how good you truly are.

They were very polite, attentive, and focused on customer service. They worked quickly and efficiently. Few Moves was able to turn a crew around for a condo to condo move the very next day. They arrived clean, professional and cordial. They did a great job. No stopping for smoke breaks or to chat. They came to do a job and got it done. My only complaint was they somehow lost a small wood piece off a dresser and after checking could not find the piece. That and the office should have mentioned a 3% fee for credit cards. Other than that, I highly recommend Few Moves for your needs.

James H. and Tim H. were our movers and they were prompt, careful, quick and so personable. When we loaded up at the first location before driving to our destination, James asked me if everything was going ok and to my satisfaction; I was impressed he took the opportunity to do that. They called our kids by their names and remembered which bedroom furniture went in each of their rooms. We had a bad experience with another company last year so I chose Few Moves because of their outstanding customer reviews. I'm glad to add our review to that. My family and I had a short notice move from a three bedroom home in Leland to another three bedroom home in Calabash. I had never used a moving company before. From the first time I called to the last item coming off the truck, Few Moves was very professional and easy to work with. Their three man crew was very efficient in loading our furniture and other various items. The movers were courteous and took great care of all our items. Their pricing is also better than that of other movers. I would definitely recommend!

We chose you because you had high ratings. Wow! We did not experience that. We moved out of a house into another. Our things had to be stored for one week in a storage facility. The workers wrapped up our furniture in blankets and placed it in the truck to be stored. We found out that they had to unwrap everything before placing our furniture in storage. Apparently, the company (Few Moves) needed their blankets. We were told this by Matt Doherty, the manager. Our things were unwrapped and piled into the storage place. We pleaded with Matt not to unwrap our stuff but he was adamant and would not accommodate us. Very disappointing! Upon receiving our furniture we found just about every piece dinged and scrapped in some way and some pieces broken. We are so disappointed. Matt refused to work with us. Poor Customer service. I will never recommend them. I will say the men who did the work were very personable and helpful and, by the way, said they couldn't understand why Matt refused to accommodate us saying they had plenty of blankets. We are beside ourselves. We really expected better.

Really don’t want to give even 1 star! Had appointment today and they were a no show! Didn’t even remember they had scheduled us for a quote 2 weeks ago. How could we trust them to show up on move day if they can’t even show up for a scheduled quote day!

The movers were great. They accidentally broke a piece of furniture. It was a very large and heavy piece, I am not upset about that. The supervisor told me they would put it in my storage unit and come back to repair it. My storage unit was packed tight, and because the broken furniture had to be laid on its side, it would not fit. The gentlemen moving me came up with a good solution, they would take it back to Wilmington, fix it, and bring it back. They coordinated with the manager and everything was good. This was one week ago and I have not heard back from them. I paid full price, keeping up my end of the deal, but I honestly do not know what the status is of the broken furniture. It is really a minor inconvenience, and I have not attempted to reach out to them because I have been busy, but I think they could be handling the situation better. I want to reiterate, the movers are fantastic. The only thing holding me back from giving a five star review is the way the company seems to have forgotten about me. I paid approximately $1200, not a small expense, and I expect a seemingly organized and professional company to be on top of this issue.

We contracted with Few Moves for a local pack and move. Disappointed in the estimate we were provided for the move by the salesman. The final bill was $1000 more than the estimate provided. Quite a difference. The crew was friendly but did a horrible job of labeling boxes when packing which led to boxes being placed in incorrect rooms within the new house. We ended up having to move large boxes ourselves from room to room. Some items were missing and had to located at the warehouse and delivered at a later date. Concerning since I am not sure we have realized yet what other items may be missing. I would not recommend Few Moves to friends.

They handled my furniture very carefully and did not damage any of my walls. The one thing I did not like was that they picked up all of my items and then went to breakfast for an hour with all of my belongings. While I did not have to pay for that hour, it delayed my moving time. They did not tell me they were going to eat until after they left my storage unit.

Warning long post: So I had to move unexpectedly and in a very SHORT period of time. Not only were they able to accommodate with practically a one day notice but they could not have sent anyone better to help. I had James and Donte and these two smiled and had THE BEST attitude even after carrying incredibly heavy furniture up two flights of stairs. I have an old leather couch and as they were carrying it, it made a sound like something may have torn (I can honestly say had it, I wouldn't have cared) so I just ignored it. The guys had no idea I was paying attention and heard it either. But when they got inside, they specifically said they heard something and wanted to make sure there were no tears or damage. INTEGRITY at its finest (And there was no damage either because they are amazing.) They were worth EVERY penny. I will use them again and again.

I am a 71 year old recently Widowed disabled woman who thought she was hiring a good company to move her. They were referred to me by a wonderful teacher that my daughter had in elementary school. The owner I understand or one of the employees had the same teacher. Of course they did an excellent job with her move. An employee came over to my home to quote a price and he in turn was told by me that his Truckee was using would not be big enough for the job. Being in the transportation business most of my married life with my husband I knew the size of truck that he was to use would not accommodate my belongings and he was also told that there was a good possibility that there might be more if I could not get rid of things before my move. I moved out of a 3 story home into another 3 story home. I was not able to be at my new home due to my disability so my daughter met them there. The items were labeled as to which of the 3 floors my items were to go. The men would not take my belongings to the 2nd and 3rd floor. Instead they crowed my garage full and my first floor. Even left my piano in a hallway to where you could not get by. I saw my home and was so stressed that I ended up in the hospital in heart failure and respiratory distress for 8 days. Exactly a week later after refusing to pay for move until my items were properly placed I received a call saying they were sorry that it was a misunderstanding and they would be out the next morning to move the items to correct place. They came and were here approximately 2 hours and a half. There was an estimated total of 8 big boxes moved up and the rest of what they moved were smaller boxes and items. They might have moved 1/3 of what they delivered to my home. The rest they piled the bigger boxes and items on top of each other and moved things to the side and stated to me that they had another job and would be back to finish one day next week. The employee that seemed to be in charge of the move left for a few minutes to place items that they had put on my driveway back into my garage. He then returned to ask for full payment. I told him that I would pay when he finished the job. He being a little belligerent in my opinion said that they did not work for free and that I would have to reschedule for the rest to be moved and that they were paid $200.00 an hour. I did give him a check but not for the full amount. I did not feel like they had fulfilled their obligation to me. The day that they moved me There was a partial amount moved because his truck was to small. He told me they would be back on n Sunday or Monday definitely and would be coming from Wilmington. I was paying 10 people to help on my end with the move. We waited until after lunch time before I called this same employee to ask where truck was. He told me that he was off that day and had no idea what was going on all the while to lead me to believe that he had arranged with the home office in Wilmington to send another truck for the rest of my belongings. He said that he would call and find out if they were on there way. He also tried to give me the name of movers that would come out and move on the same day. I should have known that he had no intention of helping me out with my move. I had to be out on Monday by midnight. I ended up calling my buyer and he gave me an extra day. I ended up having to pay twice as much an hour to get the rest of my items moved. I will not be untruthful by saying that all the boxes were the ones left by Few Movers but 90% was what they had crowed my first floor with and the garage. I also had another gentlemen that is a mover that I paid to move a room full of boxes taken from my first floor to the third floor that the majority was Few Movers.Few Movers still has quite a bit that they brought over to still move. I doubt that they will ever be back. I think this was highly unfair and feel as tho I have been taken advantage of.

The team of 2 guys took 6 hours to move our 1050 square foot apartment, the max of the time initially estimated...and that includes me working alongside them for the full 6 hours. I guess they were rough on our belongings, as our dryer needed to be repaired (thermostat replaced), they lost a wheel on our bed frame so we have to buy a new one ($100), and our floor lamp arrived broken ($100). I suppose the above is par for the course, but its still not great, so I rated 2 stars. Other than the above, I'm not sure we'd get any better service elsewhere in this type of business.

Even though there were some unpredictable challenges, Collins and crew adjusted promptly, professionally, and seamlessly. I hired few movers thinking that all of my belongings were going to be moved in my house safely, then notice that some of my items were missing, I reported this to the manager and he acted as if he could care less. I'm very disappointed when you put trust in a so called professional company that your items will somehow become missing. To this day I still haven't heard back from the company to see how they will replace my missing items. I will never hire this company again. Per our last conversation, your company was suppose to set up a meeting between your drivers and I. What happened to that. Now your Company has insurance so therefore your company is responsible for my missing belongings. Thank you

The men worked hard. We had two experienced and two newbies. the newbies tried hard but needed a lot of direction and woodwork was dented and scratched in our new home, a lamp was broken by newbie and a framed artwork piece had damage to frame. The two electric beds look alike but are designed for different heights and positions for my sister and I who are both handicapped and are beds were put in the wrong bedrooms and now we have to find someone to move them for us again. It was a very large and laborious job and the men kept good attitudes and remained friendly and kind. We are recommending this moving company to others with a caveat to watch newbies and to take out the insurance.

Update: After posting this review, I was immediately contacted by Few Moves customer service and was informed of a miscommunication and refunded the money for travel time. They were professional when explaining and clearing up this situation and I would be happy to use their services again in the future. The men who came to do my move were friendly, hardworking, and moved quickly. They moved in a timely manor in order to help me get under my 2 hour minimum. They arrived at 9am and were finished by 11am, so the 2 hours were met. However, when it came time to pay, I was informed that I was required to pay for an additional hour for their travel time, which I was never told about when being quoted for pricing. They claimed they were in traffic, which is something I do not think I should have had to pay for. I would have loved for the company to inform me about this additional cost prior to booking their service. Although the workers were great, I would not recommend this moving company because of this occurrence. The situation felt shady and dishonest.

Max & Hunter were very professional and "clean-cut" as advertised. They arrived promptly at the agreed time, surveyed the furniture to be moved, and began covering / preparing the dining room set for the move as soon as they came in. This is the 3rd time I have used Few Moves during the past 7 years [between my home and law office] and as always, their movers were fast, efficient, and courteous. I especially was impressed at how they wrapped each piece of furniture in blankets to ensure that there would be no damage to them, or to any walls should they bump up against a wall -- which I don't think they ever did, though! I recommend them to anyone I know who needs a mover!

Brian P. and Tyler G were extremely efficient with loading and unloading our household goods, considering they moved everything from a second story apartment, the move took longer than I expected, however this was not to there doing but my poor estimating. the way they padded the furniture we had no damage. just shows how well they were trained and their concerns for our property, would definitely use them again and would request these two for the move. extremely courteous, and joyful in the duties. if I owned a moving company I would hire these two, as I see them as an asset to any company.

We had two two-man teams of movers over a week to move things in and out of our garage, due to floor repairs after the hurricane. These guys were courteous and careful. The manager also made some extra effort to meet our particular needs, which we appreciated. With movers, both parties need to be flexible, and that was the case with Few Moves.

I had already booked a different company, but after some attitude from their office, I knew that mover wasn't going to work for me. I contacted Few Moves via their website for an estimate and received a call from Matt. He was able to give me a reasonable estimate and was able to fit me into their schedule for Saturday afternoon. I also appreciated a follow up call before the move. My move team was Luke and Kelly. They were professional, energetic and cheerful. I felt completely comfortable with them and appreciated that they took a minute to explain the process. They showed great care with moving my furniture and boxes. Even though I was moving from one 3rd floor apartment to another 3rd floor in a different complex, they were unfazed. They placed everything exactly where I wanted it and reassembled my bed. Nothing was damaged, my furniture looked perfect. These guys were fantastic! I would not hesitate to use Few Moves again and I highly recommend them to others.

My husband and I have had seven interstate moves over the past 30 years. We used Few Moves Moving Company for our most recent move from North Carolina to Texas in February 2017. This move was without a doubt the best move we have ever had. The team made what is usually a complicated and stressful event a very smooth process. All of the team members were polite, friendly, and took great care with our personal belongings. This move contained no damage to the furniture and no broken or lost items packed in the boxes. We had a very unpleasant experience 10 years ago when we moved with a national company. This past Saturday we moved with Few Moves & couldn't be more pleased. The guys on our move were kind, professional & extremely hard working. We had a couple of very large, heavy pieces & Few Moves got them in & out of our houses successfully with no damage. Even after a 13 hour move, the guys were still pleasant & did a final walk through the house asking was there anything else we wanted moved before they left. I highly recommend Few Moves.

Movers were good but not that experienced. I have moved many times and have seen everything from poor to excellent. This crew was in the middle. Great guys, just not that experienced with wrapping furniture, maximizing space in a truck (Uhaul) and working efficiently/strategically (and quickly) with a 3-man team. I likely was sent a less seasoned crew due to only hiring the company to load my truck. I hired a company at my destination in Knoxville, TN to unload and they were markedly better.
