I would highly recommend All American Movers. They made sure everything was wrapped and and cushioned before loading on the truck. It was raining during the move, and nothing was wet or water damaged—they even laid down blankets on my carpet so they didn’t get anything dirty. They were a super friendly crew on top of that!

American Moving made moving much easier for us. Mr. Sheen and his team (Mr. Jeremy and Alonzo) were very good and listened to all our concerns. We had a play house that needed to be brought down the deck and taken to the new home, a three seater recliner from living room to basement, reposition an weight machine and so much more, they were very polite and made things to look like breeze. Everything was fantastic! They showed up on time, put blankets on everything and wrapped it all before moving it, and were very careful at both locations. I had two guys and a smaller truck. I will say that Sheen completely took the lead and did 75% of the work. I was very satisfied with everything that they did. My only concern was the pace of the other mover. I was paying by the hour, and had both worked as fast as Sheen did, the move would have cost less. Overall, I was very pleased!

The guys who came to move our things were kind, efficient, good natured, and capable. They went out of their way to make my family’s move feel effortless, so that we could focus on the other details that always accompany moving. We initially ran into a scheduling snag, due to a missed email, but luckily the scheduling mistake was rectified and the most important part- the move itself- went smoothly. We had a big truck filled with items from a 1200 square foot, three bedroom home, and moved from North Carolina to Florida. I packed our most valuable items in our car for safe-keeping, but from the way these folks carefully packed the truck I felt confident that I could have left even my grandmother’s jewelry in their hands and it would have been very safe and secure. A big thank you to everyone who supported our move from American Moving and Hauling!! What a great way to support local business, by supporting a woman-owned company where the tough guys wear hot pink t-shirts that proudly proclaim that a woman is their boss. We could not have been more satisfied with American Moving and Hauling for our recent move. First phone contact was pleasant and all information was provided. The day of move, the crew arrived, introduced themselves individually and were pleasant and friendly. They got right to work and handled everything safely, wrapping necessary items and taking great care with an antique desk. They stored our furniture for almost a week and then delivered to our new home. Again a great crew, working fast but efficiently. We had no damage to any items. I was rather anxious about the move and they were so comforting and reassuring ("don't worry, we've got this.....") and even provided some comic relief. GREAT JOB! ULTIMATELY GOOD RESPONSE TO AN ISSUE. This is revised review. My initial rating of them (low) was due not to the quality of their work, which was awesome, but to their handling of a claim for damage caused by an accident. While it took time, they were ultimately accommodating and fair in their response. We first used this company when relocating to the area last year. We hired them to help us quickly unload a rental truck we had packed with our belongings. The crew they sent was great and worked hard. They even arrived 30 minutes early. So when we moved from our apartment into a our new home this year we didn’t hesitate to contact them. Again, they arrived 30 minutes early and worked hard. Then it happened. An accident which damaged a precious sentimental piece. But we had wisely purchased the “full repair or replacement” protection plan. I immediately contacted the company and a supervisor arrived within 15 minutes. After gathering a few details he took the clock to begin the process. While the resolution did and will take some time, a lot of that was on the slowness of my response and due to some email filtering issues. They will be having an expert craftsman repair the piece and I look forward to having it restored to me in good condition. Honestly, if not for the unfortunate mishap, this would have been one of the most glowing reviews I had ever written. I have adjusted my rating accordingly. Their crew works hard and how many moving companies consistently (at least in my experience) arrive EARLY! Accidents can happen, and while it did with us in our recent move, I am confident that our experience was more the rare exception than the rule. Still, it wouldn’t hurt to purchase the “full repair or replacement” protection plan, just in case your experience is among the exceptions. It’s worth the piece of mind.

The team was punctual and a pleasure to work with. They did a good job of securing our belongings and handled them with care. There were a couple of instances damage to items as well as nicks in walls that were not noticed until after the job was complete. The constructive feedback that I would offer is: there could have been a higher sense of urgency. The pace in which the team moved was on the slow side. I participated in much of the unload to try and drive the pace. I think that had I not participated, my final bill would have been much more costly (which was on the high side already based on the lack of urgency). I would recommend the service with caution just based on the speed of service.

Fantastic service! From customer service when I called to get a quote, to the followup emails and call I received reminding me about the scheduled move. This part was critical as I was not moving, but rather my sister and her family who had gotten stuck in Puerto Rico (what a story on that) after their vacation. Knowing I didn't have to worry about whether they were showing up took a huge load off my mind as I had to figure out how (and what) to pack in preparation for the move for my sister and her family. My movers Orlando, Kirby, and Carson arrived right at 8 am (my scheduled time was 8 am-9 am). They did a phenomenal job on wrapping the furniture and making sure to be careful. When we arrived at the new place, they unloaded quickly and were exceptionally patient when I realized some items I had them unload to the wrong location in the new house had to be moved to a different location. They were skilled in taking apart beds and put them back together with no issues in the new place. Orlando, Kirby, and Carson were professional and friendly and when I move my own house next year, American Moving and Hauling will be my first and only choice.

I didn’t have the best experience, crew was impatient. Knew in advance my son had suffered brain injury and I had to leave him there with them to meet realtor for final walk through. Although he is mentally capable to speak and walk he was overwhelmed by the crew of 5 constantly bombarding him with questions. Boxes clearly marked. Crew leader had me sign in advance and I detailed on boxes which room they were to go. Most ended up stacked to the ceiling in the basement! Which fell on top of me! What if it had been my son son on his head!! I called the office! Cory had me sign off without a walk through but each man gladly took the 100.00 tip. Because I trusted them that the Basement was completed, no! The sectional was in the middle of the room! End tables and coffee tables scattered and damaged. Bed left down there that belonged in upstairs bedroom, mattress left on wall, my desk left in hallway they claimed would not fit in the room . They were sent back half of crew stayed on their phones, other took 90 minutes to get back tired and complaining. So, they left most things at my old home! Grandfather clock in the garage with a heavy room size rug!!! 12/12 room still packed to ceiling because they are not allowed to put items in my attic. I’m out the fee plus tips and now have to move my own self as I cannot afford another mover!!! Do not use them if you do, get your receipt because Cory said he can’t give me mine and did not do a walk through the 2nd time either

I'm giving 5 stars because that's max. I'd give them 10 if I could. It is very unusual to get such a high level of efficiency, professionalism and politeness, nowadays. AMH exceeded any possible expectations, considering the stress that moving represents. Of note, I contacted 3 companies about the same time, and AMH offered the BEST price for MORE service. Upon comparison of prices, they towed my car almost for free! But that was not the main reason why I hired them: they earned my trust. From the customer service, (continuous follow up, accuracy and promptness of Jacqueline answering questions) to the moving day, everything made my move a very smooth and even pleasant process. Orlando's crew worked fast and were friendly at all times. They showed up for both picking up and delivery ON TIME, no sooner, no late. They also handled our belongings with extreme care and nothing broke. I should be moving again in a year or so (I'm renting now, but will plan for buying a house) and will call them again. I am counting on them again!

FYI, there is a good discount for using cash rather than a card, I saved $30 by paying with cash rather than using a card. If I were planning to move again, I would use them without hesitation!

As a single woman trying to orchestrate a move away from any friends or family - I knew that I was going to need a little help. With A man everything was extremely easy to organize from the moment I requested a quote. Jacqueline always responded quickly to my emails, and itemized everything so there were no nasty hidden charges. The movers themselves are heroes - I was trying desperately to get everything done in quite a small timeframe. They were incredibly fast and efficient, and got it done in less time than I'd anticipated. Moving is an expensive and stressful experience, but with this firm I felt comfortable knowing that it was being dealt with by people who were personal, as well as professional. These guys are the greatest! I was kept informed of charges, timeline of services, options for packing right up to the time the truck arrived. The movers were fast, professional and caring about my "stuff". They explained the process as they worked reassuring me that my furniture was in good hands. When arriving at the destination they placed the pieces where I wanted them again and again without grumbling. Now my home is cozy and comfortable with everything located in the perfect place... for now. I wonder if they will return to readjust if I change my mind again??? Definitely would recommend them . I used this company for a move from NC to NY last week and I couldn’t be happier. The price I was charged was beyond fair, in fact it was the lowest out of 3 local movers. Customer service was top notch, from the office person who set up the appointment to the person who came to give an estimate, I always felt that I was dealing with a professional. The crew for move out and move in day was amazing. They were very professional and treated my property with respect. Sheen and the rest of the crew helped take a nerve wracking day and make it fun. The only thing I would have liked to see would be a fourth crew member to he sent on the drop off location. It took 4 to load but only 3 were there to unload. I could tell the crew was getting very tired and a fourth member could have helped them immensely. This is a great company.

I do not see how it could have been improved. One moving company canceled exactly one hour before they were due. American Moving took control of a panic situation for us. Two packers were sent the very next morning. These ladies were professionals! They never stopped until finished and tired me out just watching them. Early the next day a truck and team of three men arrived. We were loaded and out of the house almost to the minute of necessity. These three put movers that we have used in the past to shame. No mater where we might next move, American will be my first call.

They were late, scratched a few of my things and they did not know how to effectively pack up a uhaul to preserve the most space. I had to end up renting another uhaul because not all my stuff fit and they left telling me they could fit nothing more in the ungainly when I was clearly able to. I chose this company because it had good reviews but I was not impressed. Take your business elsewhere.

Jacqueline made it easy to business with. She was very responsive and got things set up quickly. It was not a hassle like some companies. She gave a true and accurate estimate of what I would be paying. There were no surprises. They arrived on time. The 3 guys each introduced themselves before they began working. While one went over the paperwork the other began working to get everything prepped. They worked very quickly. They took time out to wrap all of my furniture to protect it. They were very polite. It would definitely recommend them and use them again if I needed them. They were awesome.

I hired four of your movers for a full day of delivering fitness equipment. Upon their arrival, they all smelled like marijuana. Once on site, they were rude and handled the equipment carelessly resulting in claims I have yet to be charged. The business we were delivering to was holding a retirement party for one of their CEOs, to which the four helpers walked over to and helped themselves to the catered lunch. After they had lunch they informed me that they had another job to go do and needed to be done by 1 p.m. after speaking to their dispatch I was told to contact Habib who did not answer his phone so I called dispatch again and was told that it was not there responsibility to respond to the my call and that I should contact Habib who never to this day has called me back nor has anyone from that company to correct the problem.

We, unforeseeably, had to move TWICE in 2 months. Both times used America Moving and Hauling. Two different crews and two great experiences. Guys showed up on-time, prepared and ready to work. Very respectful, careful and with "get-it-done" attitudes. Last move was in over 90 degree weather, never mind humidity. We're calling them again for move #3 in a few months...

The experience was great! Moving can be stressful, but with the service that was provided, this reduced the amount of things that we had to worry about. The truck was the right size for the move, and the crew couldn't have been more friendly, hard working or more professional! Although we hope not to move again, we are recommending American Moving and Hauling to our friends and family, and if we do have to move again, American Moving and Hauling will be or first call! Our move included a couple of extra stops compared to the typical point to point move, and the crew was VERY accommodating to meet our needs. Price was very reasonable and well worth it. Availability of an Angie's List prepaid coupon was also a very pleasant surprise. Scheduling was also very flexible due to bad weather on our original date, and we were able to re-schedule to a better weather day easily. That may not always be possible, but the commitment to work with the customer to meet their needs was refreshing and much appreciated. To sum up, OUTSTANDING job all around! Thank you to you and your staff for making the moving process as smooth as possible.

The movers were respectful of us and our property. They worked hard and were careful with our items. The furniture was covered in pads and then shrink wrapped. They moved an upright piano for us up a flight of steps. Orlando, Antonio, and Jason did an awesome job! Not a ding or mark on any furniture or floors.

2 guys showed up for what was scheduled to be 3 man contract. That's why I gave 4 stars. BUT they did get a 3rd guy there within 30 minutes. Micah, Levi, Daylon. All 3 came from jobs prior to my afternoon unloading of my 26' moving truck. (So a bit tired.) Daylon got his 2nd wind as soon as he got there and helped everybody pick up the pace and that is what made the process go smoothly. That third guy is needed for sure! They all worked well together and had a good groove with the 3 of them plus my dad. Even tho my dad is telling them put something here and I'm saying it goes in another room, they were very nice about it and patient. Never complained when I had to think where something should go, even tho they're holding it in their arms while I'm deciding. Minimum charge is 2 hours and they unloaded the truck in 2 hours which makes me happy.

“ A little late arriving, but did a great job with customer service and moving me out of state! Pricing was reasonable and they were very friendly. Movers were awesome. The packers mostly did well with the kitchen, etc. but one of them grabbed my laptop (not in a case or anything) and threw it in a box. I needed my laptop...and it wasn't wrapped so it could have broken...they should be trained on what personal devices are and to check before taking those. There were some boxes with completely unrelated items. All in all, I could've done a better job preparing/organizing to help them. They didn't break anything, which movers usually do. Great move! ”
