Excellent customer service! We've moved with Lift twice now. The first time was perfect! Couldn't recommend more. The second time was good although the team was not quite as amazing as our first experience. We ended up with a couple of broken items but the customer service was excellent and got us a check in the mail for damages immediately. Overall, very professional and highly recommend.

Had an excellent experience with Ryan's Crew and all of Lift Movers. The building I was moving from required a Certificate of Insurance, which most smaller movers can not supply. It was incredibly smooth working with Lift to obtain said COI on time and correctly filed. Ryan came with a crew of two others and they were totally professional, upbeat and an all around pleasure to work with. They took great care to wrap and protect furniture, but also did it quickly so as to complete the move within their originally estimated timeframe. I would highly recommend Lift and suggest you request Ryan's crew. You won't be disappointed!

The crew of Gio, Rah and Javier were efficient, on time, and a pleasure to work with. Every piece of furniture was wrapped with a spotlessly clean moving blanket and secured with tape. Every call or email I sent was responded to quickly, and the four men who moved my daughter were on time, careful, efficient and very friendly. Everything arrived without any damage (they carefully wrap all furniture in blankets, secured with tape). They came and wrapped all of my furniture in my one bedroom apartment and delivered it to my new apartment in less than 3 hours. The worst & most unprofessional move of my life. I have lived in NYC for 20 years, and I am sure like many NY'ers, have moved many many times. As I was scouring the web for reviews for a more "simple move" I wanted something affordable to move us from the 2nd floor of our house to the 1st floor. My first interaction on the phone was competent and clear. When I realized I would have to move a few things to my business, I called back to reschedule the time to early / AM and asked if they could kindly bring 3-4 small pieces of furniture, copy machine, and some boxes to my business in Gowanus (about 20min max from my house). They said NO problem. Since I hadn't heard from them re: confirmation I called them the day before the move to double check and confirm that they would in fact be at my house in the early part of the day. (and that it was OK / confirmed we were going to Gowanus). The man on the phone, seemed to have no idea what was going on. Then he "found my info" and "yes, yes, yes, all good, we will be there early and all confirmed". I wanted to be doubly sure bc I had access to my business which is under construction, only until 4pm. So, the Move day: it was 9, then 10, then 11. I called. They seemed clueless. "Oh there was a mistake, we are so sorry". But I say, "how could there be a mistake, I called about 12 hours ago to ensure this wouldn't happen". The day progresses, 12, 1, 1:30pm, no movers. I became increasingly angry and I am unsure why they are being so hands off. Finally the "movers" arrive. 3 teenage / young 20s looking guys.... no gloves, no equipment, obviously little experience. I admit, I was not at my best, and was a little short and rude. I will take responsibility for that. However, once they heard we had to be in Gowanus by 4pm, they said no way. We have to call our manager. They continue to stall while time is ticking and the job absolutely can be done if they would just do it. I get on the phone w the owner and assure him, we can do this job. Once the move begins, the real magic happens. Scratched walls, chipped banister, chipped drawers, confusion all around. This was the worst most unskillful move I have ever experienced and I have had a a few! My partner and friend were there as well, helping, and watching in disbelief as these young men trashed the walls and materials. They didn't have the proper gloves to move the appliances which I had specifically stated was one of things moved. These boys showed up like they were about to do a dorm move. I felt bad for them bc they obviously didn't have any experience moving a house. So, people, you get what you pay for. Spend the money and get professionals! I would say if you have a few boxes to move, sure this company would be fine. But I wouldn't trust them with your time, or belongings. Lastly, and while they resisted until the end, continuing to call their manager/ owner... "we can't get to Gowanus".... It seemed to me they had no interest in the job altogether. So, after all the fuss, stalling, and complaining, they made it to my business in 15min, and unloaded in 10min. We finished everything at 3:50pm. What a struggle, not worth it!

Had success with these guys last August, I went ahead and used them again for my move last week and am glad to say it was another successful and easy move. It was unsurprisingly a different moving crew this go around, but they were just as efficient and easy to work with as the guys from my last move. I'd definitely continue to recommend Lift NYC Movers and thank them for making my move as easy as it possibly could be! It's incredible what a difference having movers is vs trying to do it all yourself + family/friends. Save the headache and hire these guys.

Had our move on July 11, moving to temporary apartment and storage space while we renovate our apartment. Booking the job was good but after that was a disaster. Had a lot of problems with this moving company. They dropped boxes/ bins , broken dishes, we paid additional $360 for blankets (on top of the moving cost) to wrap all our furniture !! Our dinning table is scratched and the blankets are torn since the movers dragged our table on the street pavement. Our T.V. have cracks on them and it's not working anymore. I tried dealing with their damage/ claim department person Mikey he's not taking responsibility and trying to tell us our t.v. is over 3 years old so they should have scratches; these are not scratches they are cracks which only occurs by dropping or forces. These are unprofessional movers (at least the staffs who did our move) ,they don't know how to handle boxes and they stand away too much , whole job took much too long to finish. At the storage they put heavy boxes over light weight boxes, boxes are stacked everywhere so we ended up with a mess . From the move out location we were very organize in dividing the items between the temp apartment and storage and made sure heavy items are stacked at the bottom, light weights on the top. I would not recommend this mover to any one. I will post pictures of all the damages so everyone can see.

The rudest people I have ever TRIED to speak to. They didn't want to even discuss anything until you went to their website to fill out a standard form as I didn't own "at least a 5 bedroom house or mansion." Disgusting and obnoxious. I have moved 5 times throughout NYC and NEVER have received such poor customer service in the initial call. Fellow New Yorkers support smaller movers that actually care about customers not these individuals. SHAME ON YOU LIFTNYC MOVERS!
