Great service. Giorgi and his team efficiently moved all my stuff out from a four story walk up apartment building. They did a fantastic job wrapping the furniture and bed. There was no damage from the entire moving process. Later, Dave and his team transported the stuff to my destination and efficiently unloaded everything in an elevator building. I was able to negotiate everything upfront with Ruma so there were no surprises to what we agreed to in the contract. I highly recommend their service and would use them again.

The team who moved us out of a 3 bedroom between Burroughs (and into a 5 floor walk up) not only packed up everything quickly and carefully, but they dealt numerous unexpected challenges we encountered (due to old tenants) upon moving in, helping us find solutions on top of handling our regular move-in requirements. The team was overall super friendly and courteous, as well as generous with their time and labor, and extremely well practiced in executing a variety of moves -including complicated ones.

I would not use them and would not recommend anyone to use them. They give you a low estimate and charge you double the estimate at the end of the day. My quote included 40 boxes and a dresser and end up with less boxes and decided not to take the dresser, they asked for 1400$ extra claiming I have 280 foot extra. Looks like they get you into their business by low estimate once your stuff get loaded then it's too late to negotiate a price. Stay away for long distance moves

Best moving experience I have ever had! ❤️ I used Imperial movers for a long distance move from NYC to Tampa, FL. I encourage you to use Imperial Movers, and request David and George specifically. Moving is inherently stressful, but David and George made the experience so easy and actually really fun. They were on time, meticulous in wrapping and protecting my items, and very gracious and charming. If you want an easy and extremely affordable move, use David and George and Imperial Movers.

This was my second time using Imperial, and Adlet, Tim, and 1 other guy (unfortunately I did not catch his name) were great! They came on time, were transparent about the cost and moved quickly but carefully to get the job done despite being on hourly pricing! What was supposed to be an easy 2 block move ended up being hectic with insane traffic because of the UN general assembly , and the team made a decision to park further away and carry everything over instead of waiting in traffic and using more hours. I loved this experience. They were early my old super told me but they waited respectfully until dead-on 9am to come in. All three guys were sweet and the captain, David, was beyond sweet! He even cut my dining table top to size when I told him it wouldn’t fit. He offered! And refused to be paid for it. Then he cut it perfectly with my ancient found-it-in-the-street-in-1992 hand saw. They transported 20 years of accumulated stuff to my new apartment, brought it all in, reassembled the bed David had disassembled for me in the old place, put the boxes where I had labeled them to be put. And just were overall totally wonderful. Moving is hellish and I had been dreading it for weeks. Choosing which movers was part of that nightmare. I am so glad I chose Imperial. Plus I negotiated a flat rate and they came in under budget!!!! I highly highly recommend!

I am writing this review in the middle of the move. Giorgi and his team came over and loaded a one-bedroom's worth of furniture and boxes in just about an hour. They were careful, polite and fast. Wrapped everything nicely in blankets, so I doubt anything will be damaged. They were so concerned that the furniture would be safely delivered, that they decided to unscrew the sofa legs to avoid possible damage. In short, they did an excellent job and it was an absolute pleasure working with them. Also, the estimated cost of shipping was basically spot-on, so good job Imperial. Thank you Giorgi and team! Post delivery edit: I'm keeping the five star rating. The movers arrived on time and we're careful. Nothing was broken, including my glass bookshelf, dishes and plates. Highly recommend them!

Mario in the office listened intently, quoted honestly and fairly, and was incredibly friendly!!! Moving day arrived and Giorgi's team was spectacular. Giorgi did a walk through if the house and gave me a time estimate that was almost exactly correct. I was doubtful at first but, my goodness, this team hustled, listened when I said something was fragile or important and moved the day along. The move was efficient. Movers seemed well mannered and careful. No complaints about the moving part. However,I didn't like having to write down my credit card information after I already gave it to them over the phone. Then when that didn't work, I had to give another set of credit card details, over the phone. So if I could have done that; why was it necessary to write anything down to begin with? With their assurance that this was "secure". I'm sure there's a better way to do that. But that's disappointing.

do NOT use this company. save your money and go someplace else trust me. i scheduled a move out and move in on 2 separate days and after the final leg of the move they tried to get me to pay more money. i said i have a quote and estimate for flat rate moving why are you trying to get me to pay per hour now??? no one knew what they were talking about and they kept transferring me around to different people. lastly, they broke our coffee table which was $5,000 and offered no reimbursement or any assistance whatsoever in filing a claim with their insurance company. they did not care at all that it came in completely shattered and until today, over a month after my move they have not reached out to try to accommodate us in any way. save your stuff, and your money and take it elsewhere. they will be very nice and helpful in the beginning to try and get you in as a customer. dont fall for the trap.

DO NOT HIRE: WHEN THE MOVERS DEMAND EXTRA MONEY ON THE AT THE END OF THE MOVE, DO NOT PAY. ONLY PAY WHATS ON YOUR CONTRACT. I DID NOT PAY THE EXTRA THEY WERE DEMANDING AND THEY NEVER FOLLOWED UP ABOUT IT. THE OFFICE CONFIRMED THAT I ONLY OWED WHAT WAS ON THE CONTRACT. After the job was completed the movers were DEMANDING hundreds of extra dollars. They told me they knew nothing of our contract or my sales rep in the Imperial office. I literally could not get them to leave my apartment unless I paid extra $$$. After an hour of arguing I finally got them out. It got a little worrisome when I couldn’t get them to leave my apartment. The main guy was scribbling numbers and calculations of why I owed them extra and his sidekick was laughing in the corner. This was a beyond appalling and HORRIBLE experience with your company. Needless to say the way they packed my boxes was sloppy and unorganized. This was HIGHLY unprofessional and appalling.

We moved from Washington Heights to Crown heights today using Imperial, after receiving a recommendation from a friend. After my initial request for a quote, Adi sent a free of charge onsite estimator to my house and then they were able to provide me with a guaranteed price which was much lower than the original quote and far more affordable than any other company’s quote. After requesting to move as early as possible and booking the 9-10 am slot, we were pleased that they arrived promptly at 9. I called to set up a date to move and everything was very easy. I was given a quote for 5 hours because that was the amount of time estimated it would take. It ended up taking 45 more minutes, but that's partially due to the fact that I underestimated how far away the places were from each other. Also, based on how much I told them I am moving, they estimated that we needed 3 movers, when 4 people might have been more appropriate. Other than those hiccups, everything went as planned and it was all taken care of with the expectations that I would have for a professional company

Doctor is the most amazing man who has ever done work for me. He directed his crew of hard-working, kind men over two days to move my five-story townhouse in Manhattan into my 3-story house in Brooklyn. It was a massive job and Doctor remembered every piece packed in every box and where it was in my townhouse before it was packed so he could direct me to it on the other end! His strength and energy fueled the whole crew who worked nonstop for two days ending at 1:00am. He answered every request without complaint or hesitation, was careful and incredibly smart moving large fragile pieces around tight turns. Five stars are not enough to rate Doctor. He is a wonderful person to go along with his tremendous expertise. I’m truly grateful that the people at Imperial assigned him to do the most difficult job I’ve ever had to do.

If there were a way to leave less than one star, I would do it. This company falls just short of criminal. They give you a quote on the phone and promise that it will not be more than that quote (even the fine print they email says, "no hidden fees"). In this case, I spoke with Mario--a smooth talking sales person. He was so charming on the phone I put a down payment right away. Once the move was done, $1450 turned into $2100 and I was 100% transparent with them from the beginning about what I was moving. When you factor in 20% tip for some hard working guys (who were pretty good, not great, but pretty good), that is over 1000 dollars more than what was quoted. This company is dishonest. Money aside, you should not work with them out of principal. It is these types of business dealings that give New Yorkers a bad name. The mover told me, "this is just how it is done in NYC" after admitting that I had been swindled. New Yorkers are some of the greatest people in the world and this company should be ashamed to call themselves New Yorkers.
