We used Roadway to move from Queens to New Jersey and the experience could not have been better. Jose Rivera’s team was incredibly courteous and diligent and just downright nice. And they work super fast and super clean. We had a ton of stuff and they were taking it from a 6th floor apartment and still got it out in record time. I’m very impressed with how professional everyone was and the expertise in getting these large bulky items into narrow doorways and navigating the city streets to get to the truck. I can’t say I ever want to move again, but I assure you, if I did, I’m calling Roadway and nobody else. Request Jose Rivera, he’s great!

We have moved a few times in NYC, and working with Roadway was by far the best experience to date. The guys were kind, professional, thoughtful and efficient. Danny, our foreman, is an absolute expert in handling so many moving pieces. Eduardo, Victor, and Jhon were all incredibly hard working and friendly all day. They just did not stop until the job was done. The job was done well and I would highly recommend them for packing your things, and moving (we never had movers pack us before- these guys know what they are doing). I would also like to point out that I am almost 7 months pregnant during this move, in the summer, and my husband was away for work for the week. We moved from NYC to Westchester in late August. The team, lead by Alon, and supported by Kimmy, Jose, Mondale, Ismael, and Andres, was AMAZING. They arrived early, packed our entire 3 bedroom apartment very quickly, arrived in Westchester 5 minutes after we did, and unloaded very quickly. We did not need to lift a finger. We have been unpacking for the last three days and have not found one broken item! I cannot stress enough how great this team was. I have had poor moving experiences in the past which ended costing us a great deal more money than quoted and poor service. Beware of moving companies that offer you a rock bottom price for your move, they will eventually hit you with extra costs and will hold your belongings for ransom until you pay. Having said that, I spent a great deal of time researching moving companies as we were moving our apartment contents from NYC to PA, a 100 mile distance. My research pointed me to Roadway so I contacted them and their consultant met me at the apartment, did a total takeoff of the items to be moved and gave me a quote within 12 hours. I needed the move the take place quickly and that was accommodated. The price quoted was the price paid, no extra costs for stair landings or distribution to multiple floors, no hidden fees, no extra toll charges, the quoted number was the bottom line. I had a few furniture items to be moved, 10 in total, and everything was already packed so my move was relatively smooth in that regard. I did have artwork which had to be treated with care but the movers were great in the way they treated the items moved. The workmen (three in total), were polite, professional and treated everything with care, down to the interaction with the other tenants of the apartment as they were moving everything out. You can tell they knew what they were doing as they did their work quickly, efficiently and effortlessly. Though it took much of the day, with travel time included, they were great all the way to the point they completed the move, distributing the furniture anywhere requested, they were very helpful in making sure we were happy with where everything was placed. We walked through the move to be sure everything was addressed to our liking. From inception of contact to the completion of the move, this was a top notch effort, which I highly recommend to anyone looking for a painless move.

Bryan deLeon and his boys Vladimir and Jesus were fantastic today. They arrived in time and packed everything very gently and with great care, while Bryan walked me through the details and paperwork of the process. There were a couple of small extra items I forgot to list that they had no problems loading as well. After they had loaded the truck and left, I realized I forgot about my whole closet... ten minutes later Vladimir and Jesus were back with wardrobe boxes, and one minute later they were gone again. WOW! Roadway moving truly impressed us from the beginning to end. They were early ( which is huge for us), extremely prepared and handled all of our large complex art work, big bulky furniture and delicate items. They were professional , efficient, speedy and such a pleasure to be around. We were able to relax on our couch and enjoy this move which I was not able to say with prior moves. I can't believe how fast and easy our move was. From start to finish they get an A+++. I Would love to use them again for our next move to a house in 1 year and would recommend them HIGHLY to anyone!! We did not feel rushed, or stressed. They took their time with our items and carefully packing each box. Nothing was damaged and they cared for each piece as if it was their own. Cannot say enough good things!

I had a complicated start to my move: three location pickups which required consolidation and ultimate delivery from New York City to Texas. The final trip from NYC to Texas is yet to occur; however the three pickups have impressed me. The Roadway personnel were the most professional I have ever seen. They wrapped each piece with numerous blankets, tape and corner beading. They worked quietly, efficiently and were extremely neat in removing any residual packing materials. I WOULD STRONG RECOMMEND ROADWAY MOVING WITHOUT RESERVATION.

I am naturally a very anxious person and was dreading moving, having moved 5 times in NYC before. Roadway was the best decision I have ever made. They moved everything I had quickly and with great care and the entire process from booking to the actual move could not have been easier. You're quoted based on how much stuff you have and the distance/amount of stairs, not by the hour, which I liked a lot better because I didn't feel rushed and the inventory list made me take stock of everything I have. If you have to move, choose Roadway.

Moving with Roadway was a really great experience. After living in my shared 2-bedroom apartment in NYC for 5 years, I hired Roadway to help me move into my new studio apartment down the block. With a limited time window to move (9 am - 4 pm) and one of the buildings being a narrow fourth floor walkup, I was worried about the logistics of how it would all work out. The relocation consultant, Angie, assured me this wouldn't be a problem and thoroughly answered all of my first-time NYC moving questions. On the day of the day of the move, the three guys, led by Josef, arrived right on schedule at 9 am and were finished packing and moving my belongings out of the first apartment by 11:45 pm. Soon after, they arrived with the truck at the new apartment (the walk-up) and were done with all the moving and reassembling by 2:30 pm. The team was reliable, efficient and treated my belongings with a lot of care. Even with complicated furniture like a heavy standing desk and my photo backdrop set-up, the team had no problem disassembling, moving and reassembling the items in the new place. Overall, I am very impressed with Roadway Moving and would highly recommend them to anyone moving in the NYC area!

OMG!!! The absolute best experience! Lucio and his crew communicated with us perfectly. They gave us a time range for arriving and loading up our stuff. We were ready and they arrived just a touch early, I really appreciated that. They took care of our things like it was their own. Very happy with the services provided by Roadway Moving. Our consultant, Ken, was very helpful. Scheduling an onsite estimate was going to be a challenge, but when Ken found out our apartment was for sale and pictures were up on real estate sites, he pulled up the pics and evaluated each piece of furniture. An easy and fair estimate! When move out day arrived, foreman Richard and his team, George and Francisco, really impressed us. Richard walked us through the process as the team went right to work. We had a great experience with Roadway, the initial estimator told us there was a number of things they wouldn't move which we were fine with. But then when Richard and his team arrived they said they would move everything! It made our move super easy. The team was very professional, and everything arrived in perfect condition. It was our first time using a moving company in general, so we didn't really know what to expect. However, the moment Roadway Moving guys stepped into our apartment we were surprisingly shocked how professional and efficient the whole team was. Danny, Victor and Eduardo brought all our stuff downstairs super fast (that fell like 15 minutes) and also helped us to pack a few closets and put everything from our bathroom into to the boxes (they even wrapped all delicate pieces separately). Walter and his team (veteran movers NYC powered by Roadway) were the most effective and efficient movers that I've ever worked with. We had a massive move and they tackled it with the utmost precision and thoughtfulness. Every item was handled with care, every box thoroughly packed, labeled and wrapped with a sense of purpose for not only where it came from in the old apartment, but where it was going. To be completely candid, I was very nervous going into the move, we had lots of fragile, delicate, even priceless items (after living in one spot for 7 years) and Walter/team handled everything we threw at them without batting an eye. I previously wrote a glowing review of this service because the movers we nice and made the move very easy and actually pleasant. But this was before I learned that they damaged our dressers, one of them to the point where a corner was chipped off and they glued it back on without ever mentioning it to us. I understand things can happen during a move but the fact that they hide it and tried to repair it on there own is what is deceiving. If we were told what had happened we would've been able to have the furniture fixed properly but now it cannot be repaired given how they tried to fix it.

Roadway team showed up 10 minutes early to speak with my doorman about arranging elevator access, knocked on my door promptly at agreed on time, and got right to work. These guys know what they’re doing and we’re personable as well. Once they packed up and loaded the truck, I got a call from Roadway HQ making sure I was happy with the move (which I was) and this call shows how obsessed they are with customer happiness. The movers themselves were respectful, careful, and almost silent during the move. These guys are driven and committed to getting a job done right. If you’re moving in NYC, you have a few we’ll known options, but you can not go wrong with Roadway. I can’t imagine a better moving experience than I received today. Keep up the great work!

Moving (especially in NYC) can be such a hassle and is always stressful, but the roadway team assured us they would take care of everything for us and make it as easy as possible, and they definitely delivered! After spending weeks researching moving companies to handle our NYC to SF move, we decided to go with Roadway Movers. As of this review, we have not officially moved to SF so this is a review solely on the pickup of our possessions. I decided to go with Roadway for many reasons, but i appreciated that instead of providing an inventory list online so that they can give you an estimate, they scheduled a time for a representative to come to our home (3 bedroom apartment) to assess everything we planned to take with us so that they could provide a more accurate estimate of our move. I was able to ask every question i could think of and felt like Avi was being completely transparent with me about possible additional costs, what to expect, etc. Roadway regularly communicated with us to let us know what was happening next. On move day, our movers arrived early. Danny and his team of 3 were remarkably efficient, fast, polite, and thoroughly wrapped all of our furniture, which made us feel very confident that it would arrive in the same condition as it had left. Danny, Eduardo, Victor, and Jhon couldn't have done any better and we're extremely appreciative and feel lucky that we chose the right company. I was a little skeptical reading all the positive reviews online and felt it was just too good to be true. But our initial experience with Roadway has been great. I'll add another post once we receive our possessions to complete this review.

Our moving team, led by Lucio, was highly professional and a pleasure to work with. It was our first time using movers, and I appreciated how they put us at ease. For instance, we had a couch that had been a *very* tight squeeze when it was delivered to our apartment, but the team patiently moved it out and treated it (and all our other items) with great care. Furniture items were wrapped in moving blankets, and Raul even disassembled and reassembled our queen-size storage bed, which was really helpful. The move was expensive, but it seems like it's one of those "you get what you pay for" experiences, and I highly recommend Roadway.

Richard and his team were AMAZING!!! They showed up a few minutes early, did not rush the walkthrough or the paperwork, and reassured us that they would treat our home like their home. They took great care with our belongings, and the whole thing was done in less than six hours. In addition to being polite and professional, all three were friendly! As they started loading the truck at our old apartment, we swapped tips on on recycling and talked about where we'd all gotten breakfast. While we started unpacking our new home, I chatted with James about Game of Thrones and traded theories. It was like moving with friends- except these friends actually know what they're doing. In general, Roadway Moving was very easy to work with. I did my inventory over the phone, and they were responsive when I had questions or needed to make changes. They even called in the middle of the move to make sure everything was going smoothly. Not only do I wholeheartedly recommend Roadway Moving to anyone who wants a bit less stress during their move, I suggest you ask for Richard.

My partner and I move a lot. We were moving from a large 2 bedroom apartment in New York to an apartment in DC. Having dealt with more than 10 relocations due to our jobs, we knew exactly that when choosing a moving company, you don't go with the lowest bidder. When Adrian from Roadway came to give us an estimation, we were immediately sold. He knew what he was talking about and that's' very reassuring. Four movers arrived at our place to do the actual packing and moving.They said they were going to arrive at 9 am to pack and they actually arrived 10 minutes early which was awesome. They said they were going to finish everything including loading up the truck by 4 pm ( we had a train to catch at 5 pm) and that's exactly what happened. We were told to expect our delivery the next day between 9 to 10 am in Washington DC and that's exactly what happened. Each mover was very nice and we didn't get the sense that they were rushing to finish the job. They treated our belongings as they would theirs. I don't think I have ever seen anyone doing such an amazing job with packing.The way they covered corners of our furniture, the amount of recycled paper they used to wrap breakable stuff, these were just a couple of things that we noticed. They also kept us informed about certain things such as how they were going to pack delicate items or where to find the nuts and bolts that they have taken apart. We immediately felt at ease and we just knew that everything would be alright. Today we finally finished unpacking everything and there was not a single broken thing. Not even a glass. As I mentioned earlier, they were not the lowest bidder for the job but it's definitely worth every cent we paid them to do the job. When we move in two years we will call them again to do the job.That was the best moving experience we have ever had.

From the beginning Alex’s made us feel relaxed, secure and incredibly comfortable with the entire process. The entire team was incredibly helpful and thorough and straight up fast. If I could give 6 stars I would! Moving in NYC is so incredibly difficult. but Roadway made everything about our move so simple and fast. They packed up my apartment, then my new roommate's, and moved us into our new place in three hours! They took extra special care of my fragile items and we're so friendly to have around. We recently moved from Manhattan to England and chose Roadway Moving as our moving company. We have moved around (due to work) to 9 countries and this has been one of our easiest moves! Overall I give them very high marks. I would definitely use them again next time I move. I hired them to pack the contents of my apartment and move it the same day. Pros: They were on time, and very professional. The foreman was intelligent, easy to communicate with, and seemed well-prepared. The two other men were friendly and thoughtful. All three of them worked VERY hard, and efficiently. They worked right through lunch. Cons: Due to my huge underestimation of how many boxes I'd need, which I take full responsibility for, they had to go back for more, and the packing portion took many hours longer than anyone had estimated. In their haste they ended up taking several furniture items that I'd said didn't need to go, and leaving behind a few things (fridge contents, mirror). I would have preferred they'd charged me more and followed through on their promise of a final walkthrough to make sure everything was correct. In Summary: I take most of the blame for the mishaps. Compared to any other movers I've had they were light years better, so I would definitely recommend them. The packing service was a lifesaver. I feel like this was an excellent deal.

My husband and I used Roadway to pack and move out of our apartment, store our belongings for three months, and into a new apartment. When I reached out for a quote, they came out to our apartment to give us an accurate quote and even helped us schedule a move during off-peak timing to help us stick to our budget. During both moves, they arrived right on time and made moving as stress-free as possible. Everything (including a glass bar cart) came back undamaged and they even put everything back together that they had taken apart for the move. Hopefully we don't have to move again for a long time, but if we do we will be using Roadway Moving again.

My boyfriend and I are moving out of state to California from New York. Our friends who moved last year recommended their service. These guys are the real pros when it comes down to moving! The scheduled time was 2pm-4pm and they promptly arrived right before 2. They were able to move all the boxes out fast enough, and then they started wrapping our medium sized furnitures, we felt that our belongings are being handled very safe and professionally. Anytime you has any questions or concern, feel free to communicate with them because they got you covered! We had about 40 pieces or boxes and furnitures together, the whole process took no more than an hour. We’ve also had other moving services before roadway moving, and they were alright. But with Roadway Moving, I never knew moving could be so fast and easy. Their rate is very reasonable consider how much more hassle it would be if we were to do it ourselves. Would definitely use their service again in the future!

We have just spent two days with Rolando’s crew at Roadway Moving. Our aging parents needed to move from the upper East Side of Manhattan to Providence, Rhode Island. Since our parents had been living in the NYC apartment for 27 years, there was a considerable accumulation of memories and many, many things. We asked for the moving service and packing—and happily the unpacking service. During those two days, every time I turned to Rolando, he said « Talk to me. » He always stopped, listened and reassured, clarified and adjusted on the fly. Rolando and his crew came in the first day and were so fast, careful and effective that everything, including the baby grand piano, were wrapped, packed, protected and sometimes dismantled to ensure all our parent’s belongings would arrive safely. They started out from New York at 5 am and arrived half an hour ahead of schedule, and then proceeded to doing everything they did the day before but in reverse. Furniture in, assembled, adjusted, boxes unloaded, books on shelves. I particularly appreciated Rolando pulling aside two large cartons with our great-grandmother’s dishes so I could store them safely until we had the proper (and safe) place to put them. Thank you Rolando and your crew!

As someone who has never hired a moving company before I was very anxious and nervous about my belongings being moved. Especially since I had to drop some things off at a storage unit before my final destination. Long distance move from NY to CA. Was looking online for the right movers with 5 star reviews. Great first impression! Adrian came to our apartment to do an in-home estimate. On move day, 3 movers (Danny, Eduardo, Victor) came 15 minutes early to allow for parking adjustments in Queens. They started our 2 bedroom apartment around 9am, left around 12:30pm. They packed our furniture exceptionally well and took extreme care. They were efficent, respectful, quick but not careless. The paperwork was all put together and I received carbon copies of everything I signed. Really happy with the pickup and look forward to seeing my items in CA! Definitely recommend them for long distance moves!

The team showed up right on time, packed up my apartment (very carefully), and moved everything into my new one only in about four hours. I even had class this day so I couldn’t be there while they moved everything but I was stress free since they were able to take care of everything while I was in class. I have moved three times now, and this was the best move I ever had. I will only be using Roadway for my future moves!

Jose Rivera and his crew arrived at my mothers home right on time to pack her up They did so smoothly and without a hitch She’s 90 years old and was very nervous and they took care of her very valuable sentimental pieces that she was so worried about The next day Jose arrived again with his Crew and delivered all the furniture to her new address. I have used roadway moving multiple times. The company is great, They always show up on time and the movers are professional and very helpful. They give you fair pricing unlike most companies. Ryan in sales is the best. Both times I have used roadway he gives me a date and time and the movers always show up early, call when the are in route, and treat my belongings like they were there own. And on moving day they packed all my wardrobe boxes carefully and provided special wrapping for my fragile items like large mirrors, TV, and artwork. Excellent service. We moved furniture, paintings and a number of boxes from a NYC apartment to two different storage locations in New Jersey. The gentleman, Bryan, Criss and Michael, that is the correct word to describe these men. They packed the paintings and furniture with care. They took their time to make sure every item was deliver to the right facility. They were very friendly and nice even though they started work at 9am and did not finished until 8pm and the weather was hot and humid. I must say this is my second time using this moving company and they will always get 5 stars . They’re professional and work as a team , you will not regret using them . They come on time and start to get to work right away . They dissembled my beds(King and Queen ) and furniture (Dining table )and wrap the couches. They’re are pricey , but guess what you get your money worth . Not only do they dissemble your beds but, when they assemble it back it’s actually better than when it’s first purchased from a furniture store (assembled tighter ) . Anywhere you want your furniture placed you just point . I’m not exaggerating the type of service I received .
