Main Street Movers is terrific. Beginning with their office staff, they gave a prompt and accurate estimate-- we were not at my parents’ apartment being vacated, but they went from photos and did not require an on-site inspection of the items. They worked around our schedule for a move date, and arrived promptly. Two men packed valuables, took care in moving furniture, and worked very efficiently. All arrived at the destination in perfect condition. The price was very fair, and the move was trouble-free. Main Street Movers gets my highest rating.

Main Street Movers did a wonderful job of moving us from our NYC apartment to a house in Connecticut. They were very careful in packing our kitchen belongings and other fragile items in our apartment. Even when we made a mistake - and misplaced some important papers - they were very kind in re-opening already finished cartons on their truck to help find them. They were very easy to work with and were great about placing our belongings in their proper room and reassembling furniture. I highly recommend Main Street Movers !

From my first phone call to inquire about fees/services to moving day, Main Street Movers was wonderful. Not only were they the most affordable moving company I found in researching for my move from a 2-bedroom townhome to a single family home just 3 days before Christmas, but they were very responsive both via phone and email. I was able to pick up moving boxes/paper/tape for *free* from their facility, and moving day was a breeze. It was an 8 hour day, but all four movers were exceedingly patient and professional. They treated all of our belongings with care, and were enjoyable to be around - they were laughing with each other most of the day. Moving so close to the holidays was stressful enough, and I was so relieved that the actual day of the move was made that much easier by such a great company. I would definitely use them again (although I'm hoping this move was my last!) and I will absolutely recommend them to my friends and family.

We contracted with Main Street Movers for our latest move because we had a great experience with them on our last move. The crew arrived on time and with plenty of packing materials and protective blankets for the furniture. As in our prior move, the principal crew members were friendly, communicative and careful - in fact a couple of them had been involved in our prior move. Our move involved a relocation of only a few miles, albeit across a state line. The move went smoothly, and the crew was finished delivering and placing furniture and unloading boxes within just a few hours. Our move involved about eight rooms of furniture, and several boxes that had not been unpacked since our prior move, so they did not have to pack everything we were moving. The crew was very cooperative in placing furniture at our request - sometimes moving a piece from one place to another to get it just right. Two things prevent us from giving a full 5-star rating. They did not put down protective cardboard all the way across the wood floors in the house we moved into, and a couple of small areas were damaged by the hand-trucks (I easily repaired them). We also found more small nicks and minor damage on our furniture than when they moved us last time. Not enough to make a claim, but concerning nonetheless. With these caveats, we recommend Main Street Movers highly.

Great service, transparent pricing, flexible scheduling! Main Street executed a move from NJ to MA. Initial evaluation / quote was thorough and almost spot on with where we ended up with total cost. They were able to shuffle around delivery date when our closing slipped into the next week. Crew showed up on time and communicated very well to understand everything / all they were taking. We packed most things ourselves, but they brought some extra packing materials for things we missed. They also took our mounted TVs off of the walls and packed them in boxes. Delivery was smooth and they were patient with challenging attempts to get things where we wanted them. Highly recommended!

From start to finish, a class act. Very responsive to our questions, returned calls and emails right away (including over the weekend) , and the movers were fantastic. We had Bruno as the lead man and all went very smoothly, despite taking all day. They did everything in their power to make sure everything got moved safely and was in the proper place at our new residence, including the contents of my beloved wine cellar! Add very fair pricing and of course I would recommend Main Street movers to anyone - they are aces. First class, professional, and attentive service. Five stars all the way-- too bad there are not more.

The crew sent to move us was wonderful. They were professional, helpful and friendly. They worked fast, yet carefully. There wasn't a single item lost or damaged. I was really impressed. AT YOUR OWN RISK. They were super nice in person. No problems with In person service. But apparently you're not paying for conscientiousness. Or repair. This antique bench was one of multiple victims. It looked like it had been smashed against a brick wall. Three other older wood pieces were cracked or damaged. All of these pieces had made multiple moves with my family over the past 50 years. We didn't know to buy extra insurance and were offered a whopping $125 compensation. SO - you are not paying for them to actually take care of your items. EVEN if we had bought insurance, this piece (made by a great Uncle) would still be destroyed. I think we would have been better off with ' A man with a Van' from wherever.

Careful and proper protection done for marble, computers, furniture and clothing. Many of our things were not well packaged and these men took these things out of our bags and boxes and sorted and repacked them carefully. All boxes catalogued and numbered. Hardware properly marked. Movers professional, polite, punctual, and diligent.

Without exception, every staff member provided prompt, friendly, and professional service when we moved out of state from New Jersey. Main Street Movers assisted us with packing possessions accumulated over 30+ years, temporarily storing some items while moving others to an apartment, moving from an apartment to a new out-of-state home, and moving additional items into a storage unit. We experienced no property damage, Main Street Movers was accommodating to our needs, and they made a rather complex move nearly stress-free. I had the utmost confidence in them and I was not disappointed!

Elvis arrived right on time with his crew. He walked through and evaluated everything before bringing the required equipment. I was shocked at how many blankets they had. Everything was wrapped and protected before being moved. They even had their own tools for the pieces that needed to be disassembled. The best part was that nothing was required of me. Once I told them what was being moved, it was done. When we arrived at our new home Elvis again walked through so we could tell him where everything was going. As soon as that was done, they laid out protective coverings on all the floors. They even had a special blanket to protect the door. Everything was super quick after that. They were done in no time and quickly got all of the paperwork done. Overall, it was a great experience. Very cautious, very professional, easy, and affordable.

She came out twice to go over things with me. Their pricing was very competitive. There were no surprises in the end either. Great customer service from beginning to end. Cyndi helped me get set up and accommodated my shifting schedule. We did not have someone come out for a quote, we did a virtual FaceTime session which was easy. The movers called the day before to give us the time window and were right on time. The movers handled our furniture very carefully and took a lot of extra time to make sure everything was properly protected. The move did take longer than we expected but it was a good trade off to make sure all of our items made it to the new house safely. I would strongly recommend Main St Movers to others. Thank you!
