We called Booth Movers on the recommendation of friends to compare with other companies. We’re so happy that we chose Booth! Will, Emish and Walter did an outstanding job of moving us from our old home to the new one. They were organized, friendly, efficient and most importantly respected our requests. We had new hardwood floors put down in the new home a few days before the move and the guys took great pains to keep them looking pristine. Our items were placed where we asked them to go and nothing was broken in the process. They worked hard from start to finish without complaint. Will, Emish and Walter provided an exceptional stress free experience for us and we are very thankful for this. From the very first email requesting a quote, to the delivery guys unloading in my new apartment, the entire process was an A+. Being this was my first long distance/interstate move (NJ to SC), I had a million questions and concerns. They were informative and helpful every step of the way. Pricing was reasonable. The two guys arrived on time to pick up my stuff and from the moment they pulled into my parking lot, and left, was a total of two hours. Delivery down to SC only took three days (granted I moved end of January which is the slower season, but still!) Unloading took a little over an hour. They have it down to a science, they are so organized. Nothing was broken or missing upon delivery. I am a happy customer and would highly recommend Booth!

Horrific/Fraud company. Initially the move went well. It was a dark/cloudy day. Days later we found the movers made a number of marks on our walls while bringing items up the stairs-a 4 story town house-all walls marked. We called the company and filed a claim to have the walls cleaned. The owner's father came with some cloths/sponges and made the small marks 10 TIMES worse. He then left a voice mail saying I could simply finish myself. The company then refused to respond to my request to clean the walls, until I said I would be HONEST and write a bad review. I then got an email saying what will it take to resolve the issue. I said $1,760. They said send a bill. I then responded with take my email as a bill and then NEVER heard from them again. RUN!!! NEVER!!! do business with this company. To really fix my house is a $20,000 paint job of the 4 story sweeping rounded, high ceiling staircase.

We had a great experience with Booth Movers. They came to our home to do an in-home estimate instead of asking me to list off our belongings over the phone. The price was higher than other movers however they worked with our timelines for buying our new home in another state so we didn't have to worry about paying for storage. The quote was then bound so we had a flat-rate and didn't have to worry about price changes happening last minute. We also had a guaranteed date of delivery (whereas other cheaper options were sometime within the next 2-12 days). The movers who arrived were incredibly pleasant, friendly and hard-working. In moving two states away with a new baby, this was the best move I could have imagined.

Booth movers is awesome! Not only were they punctual and professional, but they also went above and beyond for me. I had a adjustable frame bed that would not fit upstairs. They could have easily said "It doesn't fit", but the didn't. They literally took they frame apart screw by screw and reassembled it for me! I love this place!

Booth was swift and flexible with setting up an agent's visit for an estimate, and the agent was comprehensive in explaining the process for a long-distance (semi cross-country) move. Booth was attentive and accommodating to my scheduling needs over and above what I expected. The Booth experience starts with a consultation (from George both times we've moved) who came out to our place in Jersey City and accurately and throughly quoted the job. No surprises on move day with the spot-on quote. The team of movers who came on move day were efficient, answered my questions, took care to not loose things like feet protectors on furniture, and got the job done exactly as expected. All of my items were clearly inventoried to go into storage at Booth's facility while my condo is being remodeled, and we anticipate a similarly efficient experience when Booth moves us back in in a few months.

Lindsay came and gave us a detailed estimate on the cost of the move months prior to our move date. She was very professional and gave us clear explanations on our options for us to choose. The day before our move, she sent 2 guys to come pack. Both Josbin and Edwin were great! They packed all large and breakable items carefully and they were really fun to be with as well! On the actual day of the move, the movers showed up promptly in the morning. The move-out process was smooth and efficient. They finished moving everything out and loaded to the truck by 11:30am! Hip cup occurred during the drive from Jersey City to Manhattan, due to the large size of the truck, they had to go all the way north to GWB and come back down south to the Financial District of NYC, then the driver got lost finding our building. It took over 3 hours for them to get here... I called up Lindsay, and she was able to compensate us by taking 2 hours off our final bill. Once the movers got set up, everything was quickly unloaded and moved-in in a timely manner. Overall, we are very happy with their services. We would highly recommend them to our friends.

I recently used Booth Movers to help me move from Midtown NYC to Northern NJ. POSITIVES: George (who came out to my apartment and put together a quote) was fantastic. He was kind, timely, and thorough. His quote ended up being eerily accurate as well, which was something I appreciated. Christine was also great - she answered all of my questions and was genuinely pleasant. As far as the actual moving process, my movers were also kind and pleasant. NEGATIVES: personally, I felt that the movers took a long time to load things in the truck. I will note that my service elevator was frequently used that day, and I DID have a lot of stuff, but I was told by my porter that the movers were just hanging by the truck after each load. Regardless, that’s understandable and fine if breaks were needed. What I felt more concerned about was that the movers left the truck door hanging open (yes, with all my stuff in it) while they were upstairs. I was told by George initially that one person would always be in the car to make sure my things were safe. Sadly, this wasn’t the case. The last negative is that unfortunately, my movers left an entire closet full of clothes behind. When I got home after my move completed, I was shocked to discover that my clothes were still hanging there. So, after spending additional $$ to rent a car and move my clothes/hangers to NJ today, I’m a little irritated. Not sure if I’d use them again.

Booth handled my daughter's move today from Hackensack to Maywood. You just moved her in a year ago. She moved out of a 2nd floor apartment and moved into a 2nd floor apartment. Booth's team of Walter, Oscar and Alberto did EVERYTHING. They were amazing. I was left in charge because my daughter had an appointment. I was also the "financier" of this move. Booth has moved me every time I have moved for the last 45 years. I have never had a bad experience and today was no exception. At the last minute, we had to request Booth push the move time back from 8 a.m. to noon, due to a snafu on the building management's end. Booth said, "No problem." The furniture was heavy, the stairways narrow, my daughter and her roommate had more boxes than I've ever had combined in 45 years of moving and the afternoon was hot and muggy, Booth said, "No problem." Walter, Oscar and Alberto wrapped the furniture, took furniture apart, put it back together, moved the furniture several times when we didn't like where we placed it initially - we were a PAIN. These guys said, "No problem." They were polite, they were patient, they were efficient - and they did ALL OF THIS in exactly 4 hours; AMAZING. Thank you, Booth, your record of 45 years perfect service with me remains intact!!

What an absolutely fabulous company and nicest group of guys! First off they were so flexible with dates as my closing kept getting pushed back. They were also so reasonably price and George did an awesome job with his estimate. NOT one of those companies who tell you one price then it ends up taking twice as long and costs twice as much. They set expectations and truly delivered. We also felt so comfortable with the team of men who showed up. Booth Movers exceeded our expectations in every way. The workmen were helpful, efficient, respectful of our belongings, and the bill for their excellent services was very reasonable. We had many fragile artworks which were delivered in perfect condition. The ingenuity of the protection was not evident until we unpacked our belongings and discovered that the men had custom-created protective packaging out of carton materials and paper cushioning in dozens of instances. All our moving cartons were clearly marked as to their contents and although we moved in the rain every precaution was taken to protect the carpeting in our new home. Our move was handled in a very smooth way. Folks who came in were good to deal with and they did everything in the time it was estimated to be completed. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the dirt/dust from packing cloth that was used to wrap the furniture. It was filled with dirt and this caused heavy accumulation in the new house which was cleaned whole day by professional people before moving. I had to hire cleaning service again to clean the entire house thoroughly because of this. I understand normal dirt/dust but to this scale is unacceptable. I suggest the packing cloth is put into washer/dryer once in a while. But overall experience was satisfying.

It is not too often I write a review to provide feedback on services provided. However I was compelled to do so after having such a fantastic experience with Booth Movers these past few weeks. Both Fred and Christine provided excellent service throughout the whole process-from my initial call to Christine inquiring about the company services, to Fred coming to our house and providing the quote, the quality of service was both friendly and very professional. You always hear horror stories about movers damaging items and showing little regard for owners property. Well, Edwin and his crew completely shatter that myth. I can’t say enough good things about Edwin and how he managed the whole process. He has a work ethic I have rarely seen in someone-he did not waste any time having his crew get to work while he loaded items on/off the truck with both care and precision. You would know that he is a seasoned professional in the business given the way he utilized every inch of available space on the truck. He was extremely accommodating on all matters and it was very evident that he takes great pride in his work. His team of Jorge, Pedro, Norberto, and Danny took great care both loading and unloading our items working in an efficient manner even as darkness fell during the unloading process. Being a repeat customer says it all...each move, and particularly our most recent, has gone so well, especially from the moment Edwin opened the truck door. We had a very good experience with Booth Movers. Their guys came on time in the morning and worked nonstop to pack our things. We had an extra stop to pick up some more things and they did a good job with that too. Their crew was polite, friendly, and hardworking. Unfortunately, they hit a lot of traffic on the final leg which made them go way over the estimated time. Fortunately, the president worked something out with us on that. We will use Booth Movers again.

Jose, Arturo & Oscar worked hard in the 90 degree heat with some storms popping up. They worked swiftly and efficiently. They also moved some items to the curb for me for disposal.
