These men are incredible. They were so personable and friendly, yet professional. I called them three days before I wanted to move and they told me they’d make it work, and they came through. They had the most reasonable price by far. I had a VERY heavy piece that I needed moved from a second story apartment, they called and got every detail so they could execute it properly and they did so without a complaint. They had a 1000sf apartment cleaned out and packed into the truck is less than 45 minutes. They made my life easier without a doubt and they felt like family. 10/10 would hire again!!

NH ppl, be aware! We have at first reserved a local business movers to completely move us from NH to TX Jan 29th 2018 a month beforehand to be prepared and all. The company in North Hampton NH Preferred Movers claimed they do weekly long distances from NH to South of USA... the owner Patrick Briemer and his sales guy Zack come to our 650 square feet apt in Hampton to give us an estimate asnd sign contract if we like his pricing on a Friday morning weeks before the big move date. Seems like they are nice guys and all and reassure us that they often do this long distance move and not to worry. He said he will be able to load the truck on Jan 29th around 7am to 9am and have it delivered and unload to our new home in TX around February 8th. We accepted and we started packing and all. Mind you we call at least 3 weeks ahead to plan this. Now let's fasforward this to Jan 24th Wednesday before the big moving date Monday Jan 29th pickup. The owner calls me up and tells me that he lost another big shipment that was supposed to go South with our stuff because our load was not very big. He ends up saying as a courtesy call he will still be able to pickup our things on Jan 29th but will only delivered our things around February 19th..thats if he can signup another household to go South with our things!!! 3 long weeks minimum to wait without all our house belongings 2000 miles away. We were furious! He said he will make some calls to a sister company called Ray the Mover in Manchester NH (another lying and no ethic company btw that's another story). We are only few days away from the move and we have a bunch of our pets to drive cross country for 27 hours and we won't have our things at least for another 3 weeks! We are panicking, furious, disappointed and worried. We tried to call him back the next day Thursday Jan 25th, the following day after Friday Jan 26th to no avail the owner Patrick Brieme and his sales guy Zack never answer or call back. Friday all morning I call all different local movers but with no success due to last minute notice no one has availability to move us in three days which would be Monday Jan 29th. I drove to Preferred Movers in North Hampton 10 min away... and tried to see if the owner was there or Zack his salesguy. Only to findout that none of those two were there but their secretary. I was upset but remained calm. This is a huge move, a lot of stress and this owner just keep ignoring our calls! I told the secretary about the situation and she tells me: that they rarely drive to TX and sometimes have shipments to FL only but dont believe they ever went to TX! After she called Patrick the owner was ignoring our calls he chickened out didn't even have the courtesy to speak to me and I was standing there listening to his and her conversation. Note to Patrick, man up if you can't face a woman as a business owner. I canceled our reservation right on the spot and she gave me the excuse that he is having the flu but could still pickup our things Monday and ship it out whenever he finds another big load to ship out with our things! Not acceptable, disrespectful, unprofessional, and unreliable business. After she hangs up the secretary had the audacity to offer me her own husbands phone number to help load our things into containers if we were to use UPACK. She tells me to keep this between her and I because her boss Patrick doesn't know that her husband does work on the side....WOW. What kind of local business is this? Its own secretary / employee is trying to get her own husband some side business behind her own boss back...NO THANK YOU. I left. At last we called UPACK. A very nice man picked up and said they would be able to deliver Monday Jan 29th two small Relocubes to us right in front of our apt in NH but we will have to move load ourselves. At this point we needed to be moved out by then so we didn't care my husband and I would do our own move. UPACK did EVERYTHING ON TIME! Delivered empty containers Jan 29th. Shipped out and delivered guaranteed date Feb 5th. UPACK WERE OUR saviors.

This was my second move with Preferred, and I can't say enough good things. Their people were polite, extremely careful with my furniture and possessions, and had a wonderful sense of humor (which helps with the more difficult maneuvers that had to be made). I moved from Florida to Maine. First I was told it would take 4-5 days for delivery, then 8-9 days, then 12-13 days. I was told my furniture would be picked up in Florida and delivered to Maine in the same trailer truck with the same driver. My furniture was delivered to me in a rental truck on the 13th day from pickup in Florida. My furniture was transferred from the trailer truck to a Preferred Movers boxed truck to a Budget rental truck before being delivered in Maine. The day before delivery, I was told to expect delivery between 8:00am to 9:30am. At 9:am I received a call from the driver to let me know they were on their way from New Hampshire and they expected to deliver at 10:30am. At 10:30, I received another call saying their truck broke down and they had to wait for a rental truck, my furniture would be transferred to that truck and it could be hours before they would deliver. By the time my furniture arrived, boxes were badly damaged, a dresser bureau was destroyed, I had several rips under a box spring that was only 6 months old, vintage wicker chairs that were badly scratched an two plastic totes were completely crushed. Contents had to be placed in a different box. I'm realizing now, when reading the print on the contract that the company does not cover damages to pressed wood furniture and if you don't pay for additional insurance, they will only cover $.60 maximum value per pound per article. My responsibility for not fully reading the contract and now my unfortunate loss! I had placed too much trust in this company. On a positive note, the two guys that picked up my belongings in Florida were amazingly hard workers, very polite. Their customer services was excellent! The 2 guys that delivered in Maine were also very good. Pat, the owner is fortunate to have such loyal, hard working employees.

Needed a LAST MINUTE move due to unforeseen circumstances. Paul got me set up quickly and helped with my timetable. He worked with me and made sure I was all set even though the move the following day wasn’t 100% confirmed yet. He kept in touch throughout. The team of Peter and Crew came to do the move. They were phenomenal! They were kind and friendly. They explained what they were doing throughout so I knew what was being done. They worked fast and carefully. Unloading they made sure and asked for every piece where I wanted it located. They were in and out which was great because it was a long and exhausting day. John and his crew from Preferred Movers did an OUTSTANDING job moving a baby grand piano into my house this morning. Very professional. They all took extreme care to protect my hardwood floors and the piano itself. They worked well as a team and talked everything through before moving the piano. I hated to do business with this company. They delayed my stuff by three weeks and lied to me that their truck was bad. Actually they were looking for more deliveries and hence I was not a priority. After getting my lawyer on phone with them , the stuff was there that week.Secondly these guys left my stuff like bed rails and kids furniture, damaged my furniture and stole my liquor. I had asked them if liquor can go or not, they said pack it. All liquor bottles including plastic bottles were broken ...Hmm. Finally they wont process my claim form. I have sent them emails, letters and I am looking at suing them. Seems like they collect money for insurance but never pull a policy. Guys name is Pat Breen and dont get fooled with his boston accent I see the response and see how corrupt is this company. They have not processed my claim. These guys are a ripoff.

We used them to Mass to Florida. They were reasonably priced and actually beat a few of the other quotes I had received. The movers that come to my house were great as they explained the whole process to me as well as went over the paperwork confirming what was told to me on my initial quote. They tagged all my boxes so that nothing would get lost and i would have a record of it. When I got to Florida, my furniture was waiting for me. it was great. The movers set everything up for me where I wanted. everything was so easy, I couldn't have asked for this move to be smoother. I would highly recommend them.

Extremely hard and careful workers. Due to the grade of my driveway they were unable to back the truck up to my house. Without a single complaint these guys carried every piece of furniture and every box up my driveway to the truck. They padded and packed everything in the truck beyond what I would have expected and were extremely careful not to damage any walls or furniture.

I recently hired Preferred Movers to move from Salem NH to Derry NH and was very happy with the experience. I had never hired movers previously mainly because I was nervous about someone else handling my possessions and because I feared it would be too expensive. I searched for movers online and came across Preferred Movers. They very quickly provided me with a competitive quote and I did my homework on their company. The quote indicated that this was a 6-hour move, and indeed, they completed the entire move in the allotted time. The two guys that did the move were right on time and highly courteous, professional and friendly. They moved with a sense of urgency and quickly put to rest my fears of going over the budgeted time. The movers were very careful with my stuff, and every single item arrived at my new place with zero damage. When I am ready to move again, I will certainly hire Preferred Movers again!

I had a great experience with Preferred Movers. Initially they delivered a kitchen range and refrigerator, and took the extra steps to remove our old back-up refrigerator from the basement - luging it up a flight of stairs - and hauling the used refrigerator from the kitchen to the basement. This was all done professionally and courteously, without complaint! They were so good, that we've contracted with them to remove our furniture and rugs while we have our wood floors refinished. I would use them again and again.

Preferred Movers was an amazing company to work with! I did a long distance move and it was extremely nerve wrecking, but Jamie always made me reassured that my move would be successful. The guy that moved my stuff made sure to contact me to let me know he was arriving to my storage shed. He went above and beyond to make sure none of my items got damaged. He wrapped up every little item that could potentially get damaged, that I would have never guessed to wrap up. There prices are great and they were very friendly. These guys suck, they were referred by a friend of the family and were very amenable on the phone and agreed on a price and a time over the phone without coming out to make an assessment. They didn't call to confirm the day before and so I called. They had scheduled the move for the wrong date. Then after saying they corrected the problem they didn't show up until after 1pm and then said they didn't have time to complete the move that day. I was quoted for 4-5 hours so this wasn't exactly a secret. So they rescheduled for the following morning. Now, it really gets bad. They decided that they didn't want to do the work at all and outright cancelled on us after seeing the space. So whatever, buyer beware.

Having to move across the state and needing someone to pack for me, I spied a Preferred Movers truck in my neighborhood and called them that day. Received a quote within minutes and booked them. Day of move, Pete and Jack showed bright and early having called they were on way. They quickly packed up my kitchen and living room, loaded the truck and were off to new house. Unloaded furniture and boxes placing them in designated rooms. Was very pleased with Preferred Movers from start to finish!

The temperature the day of the move was in the 90's and very humid. I received a phone call 15 minutes before arrival time assuring me they were on their way. Everyone arrived, introduced themselves and shook hands. We did a quick walk through the house so they could do an overall review of what needed to be done and they got started right away. In a day and age of so many young adults not being able to converse with adults ( due to social media) these young men were polite, very respectful of us and our home and it was all meshed with a little humor. Peter, Tommy L. Zach S. and Francois I wish you all good fortune and would hire any one of you again. it was a joy to work with them. Peter went through the contract with me and repeatedly asked if I had any concerns or questions. They reminded me I had more time on the clock and more room in their truck so if I needed to help my husband with more of the shed I could. They didn't run away from the job and it was sweltering!! They were able to squeeze me into their schedule at the last minute and hustled to get everything packed up and loaded on the truck on closing day; I needed to be out by 1PM, they were done by 10:30AM. Paul, Art and John were fantastic to work with; Paul got me on the schedule and Art and John were very organized, helpful and incredibly professional along with their crew. Recently we moved from a place that was under being ripped apart. Eric and John were under one of the worst conditions, no elevator from the 4th floor, pouring rain, dust everywhere. Worst conditions that anyone should go thru. Great crew for our move. Jamie set the deal up and called prior to confirm. Dispatch too. From there the lead Jon called that morning to let us know they were on their way and showed up right on time. He and his 2 man crew (Eric and Nathan) were great. Like how they wrapped all the wood piece and shrink wrap all furniture. Took all the beds apart and put them back together at the destination (thanks Nathan). At all times they offered to help/do just about anything on both ends of the move. They made sure every piece we wanted moved was, and put it where we wanted. Unlike other deliveries you sometimes have, there was really no damage or scrapes at either end. They put down blankets and runners and really care about your furniture and place not being damaged. Have to give them an A+. Thank you Jon, Eric, and Nathan. Your service is outstanding.

They are very aware of the sensitivities involved in a move, and added to our dilemma was a very elderly unwell dog. We moved from Hampton NH to Greenland NH and it was the worst move of our life. They were not the least expensive company as our Accountant had referred them and said that they did a move for them and that they did a good job. We stored our possessions with them and they broke so much that we lost count. We hadn't used a professional mover before and should have asked more questions about the insurance. Now we know that this was a mistake, but it doesn't change how much they broke. My wife was crying. Avoid these guys.

They have no customer service skills even, and threaten you when you tell them you will have to give them a bad review. Stay away or have your stuff damaged beyond repair.

Dear Patrick Breen, Unfortunately I was not able to speak with you when I called to express my disappointment in your company. If I could have I would have rated your company a negative. I am taking this opportunity to explain to you the situation the company put us in. Saturday September 8th your company was to deliver a microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator between the hours of 8am and 11am, your truck arrived at 7:30. You were unable to deliver our refrigerator due to the fact you needed four people to bring it up 6steps. (Understandable, We would not want any of your delivery people to hurt themselves.) The delivery persons were very pleasant and explained that he thought the next available delivery that four people would be working would be Tuesday Sept11th. We went to State St Discount to make the appt for Tuesday Sept11. Tuesday the 11th nobody showed up. I called State St and I was able to get the phone number to Chase the State St Discount dispatcher. He said it was set up for Wednesday the 12th. Chase said we would be first delivery, 8-830am. Wednesday nobody showed up so I called Chase at 9am. He said they would deliver it within 30min, 45min at the latest. 10am no delivery. I proceeded to call Patrick Breen the owner of the moving company to find out if he knew the circumstances of my delivery. Well, he was on a conference call. I then called Chase, the dispatcher. He tells me a worker forgot the keys to the delivery truck in Salem. We are very understanding people but we do have a limit. My husband took what he thought was going to be an hour off of work to be here for the delivery instead it turned out to be 2 1/2 hrs. The contents of our old refrigerator were left out because we thought we were getting a delivery within 45min. So, Mr Breen I can tell you I would never recommend your moving company to anyone. I believe the unfortunate events could have been avoided with better communication. I have never written a review before and unfortunately it’s a bad review. A customer can only be delayed so long. No more excuses! Just get the job done when you say you are going to do it.

The movers and packers were extremely efficient and a great group of guys. The sales person that did the estimate was way off (close to $1,000 AND he did an on site assessment so knew exactly what they were taking and what I was taking myself), however, which led to me filing a complaint. The owner, Pat, called me himself after researching what happened and we came to a mutually acceptable resolution. Kudos for the follow up service too! Would recommend to friends and family!

I needed to move last minute and wasn’t really sure what to do or how to go about it. I ended up doing some google searching for moving companies in the New Hampshire seacoast. I found Preferred Movers and I spoke with a rep over there. I really liked the way they have everything together any time I needed anything they were right there to answer any questions I had. The guys arrived on time and began packing up my stuff while the other crew loaded the big stuff In the truck. I told them I needed my stuff within 8 days because we have to start work soon. Joe ended up delivering the items within only 5 days which was awesome because it allowed me to get ready for my new position. If you need a mover who doesn’t makes around and gets things done,I’d highly recommend them. Good crews,great owner and fast service.

Just used Preferred movers for a move to Florida from Massachusetts. Paul did a great job communicating and he was on the ball every step of the way. We needed several conversations to get it down since this was my first go around with a moving company, and everything I read about other companies was mostly negative. The guys who picked up were professional, took care, and wrapped what was needed. The delivery went well, so my wife says. I'm still stuck up here. I'd use them again with no hesitation.

My wife and I just moved from MA to NH and we used Preferred Movers. Pat the owner was awesome to deal with setting up the move and John and Brian were excellent as well. Very Professional. Took very good care of all of our property. Caused absolutely no damage to anything. Answered all questions and worked their butts off!!! ... I would recommended them 100 out of 100 times and use them again if ever needed!!!! ... Dont call anyone else you wont be disappointed!!

We had a great experience with Preferred Movers. The price was fair and before the move they got in touch with me several times to confirm the time and make sure I had everything I needed. On move day, the movers were polite and made very good time, while being very careful with our belongings. They took so much stress out of our move. I would highly recommend Preferred Movers!
