I have used First Choice Movers on three occasions. Each time was a seamless process with no hiccups. They supplied the equipment to pack all of my belongings for a fee and then they do the packing for me. I was a little apprehensive with the packing on my first move because who wants strangers going through their stuff. However, they were very professional and courteous with my belongings. I have used Brian and his crew on all three moves. They were organized and marked boxes with its contents and where the box should go once unloaded. Brian made sure that I was included on the packing process and that made me feel very comfortable. Luis the owner and his scheduler Jessica are very professional and courteous over the phone. Luis has also made drop ins on two of my moves just to touch base and check on his employees which I thought was great and shows true interest in the customer. I would strongly recommend this moving company.

If you look at my history of reviews you will see that I am NOT a person to write terrible reviews since I understand the impact it has on a business. I write this with a heavy heart and I only hope that something like this never happens to anyone else. Interstate move: Nevada to Texas. Date Moved: November 18, 2015 Today's Date: February 22, 2016 (still an unresolved matter) The movers were very sweet guys but took 2 full days to load a one bedroom apartment (including 3 hours to load a washer and dryer and 3 boxes from a storage unit) into a moving truck that was too small to begin with. Dropped a $2,200 TV, broke my bed, stacked boxes and items on the top of a coffee table that was placed on it's side and forced to do the leg work on finding repairmen that they had no intention on following through to fix the damages. In Texas I used a proxy to receive the movers. I was informed that they used a stone carving statue I purchased in Thailand ( that is irreplaceable ) to prop open elevator doors. They attempted to charge me extra without consulting me and made arrangements to move things to another location without my consent. It was later resolved. However now I am missing items and they stole a lock that I paid for. I trusted them to do a great job since they had amazing reviews online. I felt reassured after speaking to Luis about the mishaps as he promised to make things right. I have no choice but to write the honest truth about this unfortunate chain of events and find myself wading through a pool of debt. - They broke 2 major pieces of furniture and now refuse to make good on their word to fix or replace the items. - Luis, the owner, refuses to return phone calls or emails, now that the furniture is irreparable. Bottom line, No, I don't recommend them for moving you down the street, further more across state lines. Yes, they are affordable for a long distance move but price shop for days if you have to. Do your homework, read all paperwork thoroughly and cancel the miute you feel uneasy about any of it. I paid to have them break my furniture and now I have to buy replacements for the things they so carelessly touched.

We chose First Choice to move a bunch of furniture from Las Vegas to our daughter and son-in-law's place in Austin, TX. We chose them based upon their online reviews. They weren't cheaper than the brand names, but we have moved a few times and the brand name movers can really screw up. Our move wasn't a small one....it included a 6'3" grand piano....they used 2 trucks. They even did 2 stops here in Las Vegas to pick up. We paid $700 for extra insurance, because we know that s**t happens even with a good mover. Jessica told us we really didn't need to do that, and she was right. Everything arrived in pristine condition. These guys are the real deal. The same people who pack the truck are there at the other end to unload. There is no BS that "the other guys screwed up". I think that makes them way more accountable. They were the fist movers I have EVER hired who did NOTHING WRONG. I'm going to use them again in the fall when we follow our kids to Austin, and I just hope that this review doesn't make them so busy that they can't serve us.

We sold our home and needed a fast efficient reliable moving company. We didn’t know where to start so we chose the largest town to our destination and began the search. At first we chose a different company who took our money and didn’t show up. In a sheer panic with two days to close our property we called first choice movers in Las Vegas. They turned around a truck in route to grab our house hold furnishings packing us in one day and storeing everything for over three months completely safe. When we were ready for our things they had everything us within two days after we asked for it all completely safe and not broken. From their prompt professional front desk to their movers are incredible clean and professional. If your looking to move choose these folks you won’t be disappointed.

We moved from Las Vegas to the St. George Utah area a couple of weeks ago. It was a big move but they agreed to do it all in one day. The salesman had originally said he would send four movers to load the truck and then he would send two guys up to Utah with the truck. Only two guys showed up at our house the morning of the move. We were concerned that they wouldn't get it all done in one day. But they hustled and they were fast. They got everything loaded in about five hours. They carefully packed delicate items which we appreciated. They managed to get all of our stuff in the truck which was a remarkable feat! One of the guys had just gotten over a bad cold but he worked just as hard as the other guy. Because he had just gotten over this bad sickness, he decided it wouldn't be in anyone's best interests if he drove the truck up to Utah to do the second half of the move. I admired his integrity and wisdom in this decision. So the company sent a new driver to do the second half. All the guys, Walter, Victor and Michael did an outstanding job to get us all moved in. They finished around 10 at night and then had to drive all the way back to Vegas. I admired their stamina and I was so grateful that we got it done in one day - everything intact!

Worst experience of my LIFE! We live on the AF Base and before I scheduled our move I asked them if they would be able to get on base through the service entry. They said yes and that they have done a base move multiple times. So we originally scheduled the day for 11 AM on a Thursday. They didn't call to come to our place till after 5 PM. Said they didn't have the correct people to come on base so they needed to reschedule, we rescheduled for Saturday. Same thing happened then on Sunday they call saying they are here but that the service entry is not open. So finally we reschedule for Monday they say they are on their way at 8 AM. The service gate takes a while to get through (which they knew) they did not plan ahead for that and they said the hour they start charging starts when they arrived on base even though they were not out our house or moving anything. It took them 3 hrs to get through the entry gate and already they were telling us our bill was $600 before they had even gotten to our place and anything nonce they get there is added on as well. Then when it's their turn to finally get through the gate, 2 of the guys had a felony or something to where they weren't allowed on base at all. I tried to call to better understand and they stopped picking up my phone call!! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!! SO Unprofessional!

**** Highly recommend! **** Jay, Jose & Edgar were polite, hard working, careful and very skilled at their business! As is Luis, the owner. The company is professional, friendly, great to work with and very accommodating. The move went exactly as organized. Everything was completely wrapped in cozy blankets and shrink wrapped. They were 100% considerate and I felt safe and comfortable in their presence. As a female, the means a lot! A cool situation to note: The sofa was too big to get out the door, so the boys devised a plan to get it down from the second story balcony. Went as smooth as silk. Brilliant! I gave 4 stars our of 5 only because one item got broken too bad to repair: a quilt rack, and one, newly purchased wardrobe box got crushed in on one side, which makes it unusable for our continued storage needs. Nothing to get stressed over. Just a burp in the loading method. Giving them a nod to the 122 degree heat with like 80% humidity they were loading in...They worked like champs and didn't waste a moments time in spite of the hellish heat. Very, very admirable. Thanks guys! If you have these great guys work for you, please tip them generously. They deserve every penny for their integrity and work ethic!

Terrible Experience... We moved my 92 year old aunt from California. The lost and entire bureau with some collectibles items and nostalgic memorabilia. Tried to negotiate a settlement, Luis refused to take my calls. Ended up going to court and no one from 1st Choice Movers showed up. Won settlement, we are now trying to collect. Pretty sad when he takes a senior citizens money and and just walks away. they should be LAST CHOICE movers...Save your money and go with someone reputable. They hire transient people who are from out of state and they are only good for one or two moves. High employee turnover rate.

1st choice movers....more like last choice movers!!! I moved out of my apartment and needed to put my stuff in the warehouse, so my dad and I rented a uhual truck and moved the stuff over there. They told us to leave the furniture in a certain area then they would put it in the space I was paying for. The next day they charged me a thousand dollars to wrap my furniture. I never asked them to do that nor did they say they were going to do that. Nothing is in writing for them to do that!! Now they're holding my furniture til it's paid. Total SCAM!! Stay far away from this place!!!!

I am at a loss for what to do. The customer service rep misquoted me by 3-4 hours, and I spoke to the owner that same evening. He assured me he would address the issue immediately and refund me the difference as soon as he could connect with his representative. 4 days later, 5 phone calls from me, and no word back. It's hugely disappointing as the movers did a great job. A $500 move turned into a $1,000 move that my poor mother simply cannot afford. Please call me back or I'll be forced to file a complaint with the BBB.

Moved out of state from Nevada. Inexperienced movers, dragged a dolly across an expensive rug, shattered the glass top to our desk, destroyed a corner of our $1400 nightstand, lost a box of household items... and haven't responded to an email or provided an update to our damage claims in MORE THAN A MONTH. STILL TRYING TO GET REIMBURSEMENT FOR DAMAGES FROM A NOVEMBER 2018 MOVE!!! RUN!!!!!!

Called day before needed move due to a broken down truck by my scheduled mover. The head man called to let me know they were on their way twice. I only needed some patio furniture and a bedroom set moved from my house to my daughter's home. My wood pieces were wrapped in plastic and with blankets. The truck was packed within 20 minutes and at my daughter's 15 minutes drive time. All three men were extremely careful, courteous and polite. BEST moving crew I have ever had in my 40 year marriage and several different homes. I'm extremely picky but can honestly Say, I have zero complaints! This is a first! They do have a two hour minimum charge which is my only negative since they were completely done in one hour. I tipped the crew generously for a job well done and hope this company compensates them fairly for perfect service in an industry that is normally riddled with complaints.

DID NOT SHOW UP for a long distance move we had planned months in advance. Waited the whole morning for an 8am appointment and NOTHING! Not even a courtesy phone call. Their business phone number was not working. No way to get a hold of them. So stressful. We had scramble to find a moving company in such short notice which was not easy. Andres and Victor were excellent. They moved us from a three-bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment in three hours including taking apart a queen size bedroom set and reassembling the bedroom set. They showed up on time. They were extremely polite and professional. We used Angie's list discount and only paid $230.00 plus a tip (my choice). Jessica Horna was awesome to work with she helped me with the start time (I chose morning) and the next day called to check up on how the service went on the move. I will defiantly recommend First Choice Moving to anyone.

These folks are simply incompident and dishonest. Broken and missing items, late delivery, mixed our load with another contrary to contracted service and lied about having insurance. Luis refuses to answer calls, or if he answers by accident he hangs up on you as soon as you identify yourself. Do yourself a favor.........go elsewhere.! I would bet the positive reviews here are fake.

We hired First Choice Moving to relocate us from an apartment to a house that was about 15 minutes away. The customer service rep, I believe her name was Judy, was very professional and courteous over the phone. We were scheduled to do a Sunday afternoon move at 2 p.m., we set up to have three novers at $179 an hour. I confirmed our appointment with John the operations manager around noon. We found out later that sellers weren't ready for us to move in yet so we called Judy to push our appointment back to 4pm with no problem. The guys never showed up. We were told that their truck broke down, unfortunately I had to keep calling in to get this information. The operations manager, John never answered his phone anymore for the rest of the day. Judy called me back and said they were sending us some movers right away. The guys didn't show up until 7:45 p.m. they were working all day coming from Henderson and they were pretty much toll to do our move. I felt bad for these guys, they were older, it was only two of them and they were burnt out. Fortunately I had guys helping me move. About time we got the truck loaded into the new destination it was 4 hours later. The movers were too exhausted to move any of the furniture upstairs. I told them just to put everything in the garage and I'll talk to the operations manager about it later. It took 5 hours to do my move. The movers shaved off a couple hours off the time because they felt bad and weren't able to do the job properly. I reached out to First Choice Moving multiple times, I left voicemails and finally got ahold of John. I told him I only needed 5 pieces of furniture moved I already took care of everything else. John gave me sass, cut me off and told me that he's not doing anything for free. His wife Judy informed him and hung up in my face. I tried to reach out to the owner of the company, Luis Horna, on Facebook, but he never responded back. Which was very sad because I used to work for him when the company was called Denali Moving. In the end the movers and Judy were nice. Management was very unprofessional. As a former mover heed my advice and be cautious if you decide to hire this company.

My family took a bold step a few month ago and we moved from Las Vegas to South Carolina. I have never made such a big move and this company provided great services. They helped me plan out my trip and their movers were great. They arrived on time and we very helpful with any questions I had. I wish I would have used them when I moved out of my parents house. Hired 2 guys with a truck. $139 hour rate. Found these guys on Angie’s list and don’t know how they were rated at top. Their service is horrible. They hired workers from another state so they didn’t know directions. Workers were nice, but got lost 45 minutes when going 1.5 mile away. We had to call company and John the manager was swearing at us and was very rude. Avoid this company. No people skills.

I went with Denali because they were the highest rated on Yelp and I'm glad I did. Luis and Brian were very professional and took great care not to scuff up any of my things, wrapping up large, bulky items like my couch and my bookshelf. They knew their way around the new building I was moving into downtown, and they were better than me at finding the freight elevator and my new unit. I definitely recommend them.

This past week we used First Choice Movers for a local move in Las Vegas. Our team, TJ, Trevon, Dequan, and Deanglo did an outstanding job. While it was a local move, it required not only strength but experience as we have a number of large and very heavy pieces of glass and metal furniture. Over the years we have moved a number of times, but this was the best! I dubbed them my "Dream Team" as they were efficient, experienced, personable and worked very hard in the 100+ heat. They meet all of our needs and then some! From our first call to First Choice to the end of the move, everything went smoothly and without problems. We definitely recommend First Choice! They were our first and will be our only choice for movers! Thanks for the terrific job! You guys were awesome!!

I needed help moving across town. I called Denali and asked about their prices for moving. I spoke with Nancy and I was so happy to be able to get a quote over the phone with no hassle. Nancy was very nice and broke down exactly what the cost provided. The price was better than any other company I called. They also offered packing service, which I can't express how helpful that was. I scheduled both services. The day of packing Chris called me while on his way and was there about 15 min early, which I really appreciated. It turned out I needed more boxes than I had and Chris went back to their offices to get boxes, and didn't start the clock till he returned. Chris and Ramiro were there to help me pack and these guys were machines!!! They wasted no time getting in there and in less than 2 hours they had everything I needed help packing done! Since it was a 2 hour minimum Chris asked if there was anything they could help me with. Seriously, great service. So I called and requested them for my move as well. Once again I got a message that morning when they were on their way and again, they were early. Chris and Gustavo started working immediately. These guys hustle! They were loading the truck faster than I could keep track. Everything was taken care of perfectly. They wrapped my furniture in plastic (no charge) and were so careful with my items. I even had a treadmill that I was worried about because I couldn't get it taken apart... Gustavo was a ninja with that thing, wrapped in plastic and somehow these guys got it out and in the truck. They got everything loaded and even took some furniture out to the dumpster for me before we left. She stopped at my storage to pick up the things there, and then we were done. I went ahead of them because I wanted to get them lunch for their hard work. Once they arrived at my new place they started moving right away. I made them stop and eat because they needed a break (in my opinion lol) We ate and they were so polite and friendly. They back to work and unloaded everything. They put my bed together for me, put everything where I needed it. My couch is a 3 piece sectional and once we got it upstairs we realized that I couldn't fit all 3 pieces. So they took one down to my garage and wrapped it in plastic for me. The service with these guys was wonderful. I had a friend moving the next weekend and made him use Denali! He also called and requested Chris and Gustavo for his move. When I move again I will definitely use Denali! The price was 100% fair, ZERO hidden fees... It was exactly as quoted! Not a single item was broken, dented, cracked... It was perfect! I have already recommended them to everyone.

I cannot express in words the quality of service provided by john and his team....when you move...its chaotic at best...you watch strangers move your most valued and prized possessions....with first choice...it felt like family was helping us move...they treated our belongings with such care and even helped us repack or covered items in ways we never would have considered in order to get everything moved intact....every item they handled got the white glove treatment and arrived in perfect condition...they arrived promptly (actually were early and waiting for us!!) came fully prepared with anything we might have forgotten and got right to work!!! price was best i was quoted by any service!!! moving can be sooo stressful ...these guys made it a breeze!! i had to schedule several diff rent days over a week in order to move a residence of 20 years in sections so it would be easier to move ..john made the scheduling easy and even accommodated us for a last min scheduling change with no problem...im just thrilled all the way around!!! thanks again John!!!

I actually used First Choice twice. I wasn't completely prepared for the move, and they helped pack things for me. Then, after the move there were 2 important items that I couldn't find, and they were conscientious enough to send 3 movers to me at my storage unit to go through almost every single box, at no cost! (I did find my items eventually:) They were really nice and very careful with my stuff. Then, on my second move, I was, of course, not fully prepared, and again they helped me pack. On my way to my storage unit, I got a flat tire, and they put my spare on! They were great guys. My overall experience with First Choice was great. Very nice office staff, and really great employees. I will use them again if I need to.

Today I used First Choice Moving for the first time ever. It started by being called an hour before my scheduled time to confirm they were on their way. Nice touch. They arrived a few minutes early which was appreciated. Tray, Mario, and Quincy were very friendly and professional. They greeted me and I showed them every room and what had to be done. They gave me the peace of mind I needed to feel as though I made the right choice by using their company. Then they went to work. These men work hard and made sure to wrap my furniture in blankets and packing tape so everything would be safe during transport. They were amazing and I was so impressed with their professionalism, positive attitudes, and hard work. To me it felt as though they treated their work as if they owned this moving company, which I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. This was the first time I’ve used this moving company however it surely will not be my last. Thank you!

John and Nick moved me out of my apartment (located on the 3rd floor, no elevator) on 8/7/15 and these guys were phenomenal!! I was scheduled to move at 8 a.m. on that Friday morning and they were in the parking lot and prepped at 7:40 a.m. After a survey of the apartment, these gentlemen were hard at work and moving my belongings down into the spacious moving truck. They didn't miss a beat and were very courteous and efficient! My move was completed well within the time they had estimated and everything was delivered safe and sound. I had a ton of electronics (65" television, computers, monitors, etc.) and they saw to it all of these items were moved without a scratch! I can't say enough about my experience with Denali and I will be using them again in future moves as well as recommending them to my family and friends! Horrible service. Movers were scheduled to arrive at 1pm, but never called anytime to notify whether they were arriving or will be late. We called several times and each time they said they’re busy with another customer and would contact us 45 minutes prior to arriving. We waited until 6pm and they still have yet to call us at all.

FRAUD ALERT!!! Hired them to move from rental house to house we just bought. They came in with the lowest bid. Told us the job would take 3-4 hours, it took 8.5 hours; WE PAID DOUBLE WHAT THEY ORIGINALLY QUOTED IN THE END. They told us they would bring a box to put our large screen plasma TV in to protect it from damage. THEY FORGOT THE BOX. Needless to say, OUR TV WAS CRUSHED. We submitted insurance damage form. They responded citing a technicality in our paper work and WE RECEVED NOTHING FOR THE BROKEN TV. We were promised a truck large enough for the whole move to be conducted in one trip. THE TRUCK WAS SO SMALL THEY COULDN’T GET EVERYTHING IN ONE LOAD, could not even get the back sliding door to close, had to tie everything off, and then told us it would COST US HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS MORE for them to come back the next day to complete the job. WE SPENT THE NEXT THREE DAYS RUNNING BACK AND FORTH from the old house to the new using our personal cars to complete the move on our own. CAUSING EXTREME STRESS AND ANXIETY to get out of the house on time for the walk through. In the end THEY LIED TO US REPEATEDLY, DESTROYED OUR PROPERTY, REFUSED TO COMPENSATE FOR THEIR ERROR, AND DID NOT DELIVER WHAT THEY PROMISED. Do yourself a huge favor and go with someone else; we wish we had.

This is my second time using Denali Moving within a year. Mike, Nick, and Miguel were wonderful. They were hard working, fast, and had a great sense of humor during the whole time. They really listened to me and would do anything I asked. First they had to move some boxes and a few pieces of furniture from my sister's house, then we went to my storage, and last moved the furniture and boxes to my house. One of my sofas couldn't fit through the doorway and they took off the sofa legs. They set up my TV's and took the wrappings off the furniture. Believe it or not, they had everything done in 3 1/2 hours! I definitely recommend this company. Hopefully I won't move again, but if I do I would only use this company. Thank you Denali Moving!

We've used First Choice Moving several times in the last year or so and still very pleased with the service. This time we moved house to house and weren't even all the way packed when the movers arrived. They were friendly and helped me get everything situated without hesitation. The guys were able to take apart and put back together my bunk beds much quicker than my husband or myself could have. All of my moves have been excellent from start to finish, office staff always friendly and able to answer all of my questions and even followed up with me the next day. Definitely still my First Choice for a moving company

I'm a few weeks late in writing this, but the review is just as strong. Positive experience from start to finish. Everything was as promised: emailed confirmation when I scheduled, a confirmation call the day before, a heads-up call the morning of, and movers that arrived on time with professional equipment. I thought for sure I'd be long-hauled (so to speak) since they bill hourly, but I was happily wrong. Tommy & Trayvon KICKED BUTT moving me out of a three bedroom upstairs/downstairs house. They never stopped or slowed down, and the final bill came in exactly as estimated. They didn't leave a mark on my walls (even with a wonky staircase) and all my belongings and boxes were handled with care. They put me at ease (and somehow got me laughing) when I was stressed out and on edge. They've spoiled me for other movers; I don't want anyone else handling my moves in the future.

This is the worst moving company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. The movers were several hours late even though we scheduled weeks in advance; we received conflicting excuses in regard to their very late arrival. I witnessed the movers handle our boxes with absolute disregard, kicking the dolly under a stack of heavy boxes stacked way too high causing damage to the contents. They sat the fabric part of our couch on the ground next to one of the boxes that leaked due to their carelessness, causing a stain on our couch which they refused to clean (which wasn't a lot to ask for) after a month of getting the run-around, unreturned phone calls and no follow-up. This company should be your last resort and not to be trusted with your valuables.

These guys were great! They also came to me recommended by a friend who used them during her move, as well. Efficient, gentle with my items and affordable. No complaints and they did it all in 115 degree weather. Highly recommend this company!
