DO NOT use this company!! They are terrible!!! They steal your belongings!!! They are giving me a big run around about delivering my goods. They only let you talk to a receptionist who gives you bogus phone numbers to call to find out when your goods will be delivered. I don't even know where my belongings are being stored or I would go pick them up myself. Unfortunately, I read other reviews about this company too late. Many people who used this company have had their belongings that they hired to be moved stolen.

The worst of the worst no only they over charged me, made me get a bigger storage they refused to unload and held my stuff, until I got bigger storage. Now I pay 2x as much for empty storage. Britney called I told her I wasn't satisfied, do u think she called back, nope. Neither did the owner the most unprofessional, vulgar, man. You make your choice but if you have 1045 cb ft and they tell u they will unload only in 10x20 you do the math, who is right! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS COMP. OR VAN LINES TO. MY WORST ENEMY

This is the worst moving company I have ever encountered! My bestfriend used them and I am terrified at his experience. First, they charge for everything and apparently outsource jobs. I was there to witness firsthand that the mover hired an extra person to help unload whom had no affiliation with the company and couldn't even carry big items so that was left to my friend and I. Secondly, these are pictures I took of how the boxes came off the truck! Very odd that they'd even have over a 4 star review with the service and lack of professionalism they showed throughout the move!

I can't even give this company one star but this website forced me to. THE WORST experience I've EVER had in my life. Total dishonesty, did not provide what they promised and then doubled the price based on a driver who claimed he was very good at what he does. Which makes NO sense since I had worked with an employee and went room by room, including the garage, regarding the contents. SCAM ARTISTS SUPREME!!! Will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

Moving from one state to another was not ease because of the nature of my move. It was a 4 bed room apartment move and I had plenty of fragile. I had to look for the best and I did search for the best and finally decided on American Home Movers. They did better than what I was anticipating. They arrived on time, packed the entire house and loaded and moved everything without any damage and made sure they beat the deadline. Nothing went wrong which might have caused an issue.

I will now only ever use them and recommend them to everyone I know after they helped us with a seamless move from a condo to a house (in the rain, no less, wielding antiques!). Horrible experience. I was very detailed on my inventory including how many boxes I would need. Only 2 guys were sent, making it take 3 times as long. They only brought large and wardrobe boxes forcing me to pay extra for boxes, extra for labor, and extra for more space on the truck. Did not pack condensly, randomly putting anything in any box. Taking up more space. Padded the boxes heavily wasting more space. Used 40 rolls of tape, which was ridiculously excessive, I mentioned it a few times but it didn't change things. A day late on movers arrival, I had to be on the road by 5pm, movers didn't get done until 1230am, lost my hotel room for the night with no redund. Now I'm still waiting for my stuff when they were told a week ago of my new address, I'm told will be another 4 to 5 days before I get my stuff. Supervisors refuse to get on the phone or return my calls. I do not recommend them at all.

American Home Movers was great! Very easy to work with and responsive when we communicated before the move. The movers came on time (a little early actually) and moved quickly. They drive right to my new place and unloaded quickly, navigating a narrow entryway easily. No issues whatsoever or any surprises like extra charges. Glad I picked them!

The movers were fast, efficient and quite friendly. They wrapped all of my furniture and electronics so as to prevent damage. And when we arrived to my new apartment, they asked me where I wanted each box and pieces of furniture to go. The moving team managed to make the move a seamless and stress free experience. ****DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY*** Initially I was pleased with this company as I prepared to move across the country. Javier was extremely helpful as we laughed and joked as he and another individual packed and wrapped my things then loading them into the truck. However on the date of delivery, everything went down hill. Unfortunately I didn't have the pleasure of working with Javier again, which I was aware of, but the two New gentleman were so unprofessional. They dropped my things several times as they were loading them in my house, and left a bookshelf that I had purchased in the ground in front of my home. I asked them several times why they would just leave my bookshelf out on the ground after bringing in all of my other items. Finally as they brought it in, they didn't want me to notice they had broken it as they carelessly pulled my things off of the truck. With the bookshelf being completely broken with no back. The driver stated that he would take it to the trash after I had taken pictures. Instead of him taking it to the trash, he broke it down even further and kept a portion of it! (Who does that?!) I was so upset at this point I began going down the list to check my other items only to find that they had also broken my 55' tv. Directly in the middle of the tv, it looks as though they placed it flat on its back and placed another larger item on top of it! And then my living room lamps were missing. I called this office SEVERAL times to file a complaint and complete a claim, but NO ONE would return my phone calls! So here I am a month later still trying to complete a claim through my insurance company, and their crappy claims company CSI. Smh I wouldn't recommend this company to my worse enemy. Please save yourself the headache a choose another company!

This company is not only unprofessional and rude but they seem to pride themselves on false advertising of services that they are aware can not be fulfilled. I was to be moved then end of the month, however, was told that I would have to wait until the following week due to their foreman being hurt. One man has the ability to stop a move? After being told “I’m working on it and we’ll call you back within the hour..etc” repeatedly my confidence in this company fell short. After making several phone calls to them they began to avoid me, and when the did answer they became very curt and rude. When told that I wanted a refund they went overboard with it. They finally decided to give a refund. All could have been avoided if they had only been honest in the first place and said they couldn’t do the job.

Its Zero stars for this company. Unprofessional and rude people came for pick up the things. Don't go by the quote they give, once they come in on the pick up date, they will say other wise and will try all to rip off your money. While getting the quote we gave each and every item in the house and gave twice the amount of boxes we actually packed in the quote. They even walked out of my apartment saying if want the thing to be moved today pay this amount else we are walking off. With this situation if i cancel at that moment i will loose the Deposit i paid them, without an option asked them to proceed by leaving few stuff as they were quoting the price more than the items actual cost. When i received the stuff it seemed like everything was ok, but that's not it when we started arranging the items we noticed the one of our bag's lock was broken and few stuffs were missing from that bag. After that we did not receive our kids Stuff, lamps were broken and the Bike pedal gone missing. Please refrain from them, they are doing their job at all.

Do not use this company. There are plenty of other moving companies, use anyone else. I was quoted approx. $2000 to move across the country. Ended up paying $4000! I believe they give you a low quote on purpose. When the movers loaded up my house, turns out I went way over the space quoted. The movers agreed with me, said they have never loaded a house that didn't go over. Meaning everyone has had to pay more than quoted but at this point it's too late, all my things are on the truck. I had to pay the extra. THEN...I find out that they charge you per flight of stairs. They will not unload your items unless you pay them in cash for each flight of stairs. The guys loading and unloading the truck were very nice and kind. Tried to help me save money where they could. One guy even said, let's try to keep these fees down because let's be honest only the fat cats at the top will see this money. However, my items were not well cared for. Several broken small items. Glasses, tea cups, etc. Perhaps I should have used more bubble wrap but a well handled box and I believe these would have made it safe and sound. There were several large pieces of furniture that they should have taken better care of. I have a cabinet case that is tweeted out of shape and can no longer put the dwarves in. My coffee table was broken which is a high disappointment as it was my Grandmother's and sentimental. My bike was clearly just shoved in the van. The bike handles snapped and the brakes no longer work. I have to replace it. The movers told me I could file a report but not to expect much and after talking with this company, I agree. It would be a waste of my time. I feel defeated. Please use another company.

Basically the Alliegent of moving. We went with them because we needed a cheaper option for moving cross country. They did an initial phone estimate, and since we hadn’t packed yet I just did a guesstimate. The actual move ended up being more, which was fine because that was my fault. The problem arises when they do the math to add to you estimate. It’s basically all done on their phone calculator. I’m sorry but we live in 2019, and I’m sure there is a more professional way (especially if you’re going to do the math right in front of me) instead of using your phone calculator. I had no clue what math he was doing, or if it was even right because everything was moving so fast. That was only the beginning. They also don’t tell you when you make the initial quote how much they are going to charge on site. It’s $75 for more than 75ft if they have to walk (which most apartments they do) and $75 per flight of stairs after the first one. It’s extremely problematic, and you can either pay with check, cash, or get charged an extra %5 was credit card. We waited 3 weeks to get our things. They were very spotty on the communication until they were actually in route. Mind you, 3 weeks after the date we said we wanted our stuff. So three weeks on air mattress and without any of our clothes. We got a call the night before and our estimate had gone up $500 because he couldn’t fit a semi in the complex. Yes it’s in the paperwork, but the actual wording in the paperwork says that in downtown areas they might have to charge more to take a smaller truck. We live 40 minutes from downtown, so basically unless you are moving to a house you have to pay the $500 extra so they can get into your complex. Also, that last payment you can only pay in cash. So at 10pm the night before I had to go take MORE cash out to pay these guys. On top of all of this, a good 25% of our stuff was crushed or broken. One of our containers was completely broken. The employees are nice, and all the movers we can in contact with were very friendly. But if you chose this option get ready for a huge headache and a lot of worry. Yes it saves you money, but I just wish I would have known about this nightmare beforehand.

Worst experience ever. Called on 12/27/2016 for quote. Explained I be in new location 01/10-01/17 and asked if they could deliver during that time. I was called the next day and told they would need to pick up my things on 12/29 for delivery during the requested. They came picked up my things. When I called about expected delivery on 01/11 I was told my things were still in their warehouse! Requests for delivery went unheeded. Three times I called and each time I was told they would research and get back to my. They never did. I ended up being charged extra because from the curb to my apt was more than 75', even though they advertised placement of my furniture in my unit. Their customer service was the worst and this move had become a nightmare because of it. I would never recommend them!

I would never would recommend this company, still going back and forth with insurance to get some sort of reimbursement for all our damaged items, they have not been helpful at all and has taken 200 plus days to get any type of movement on our claim. Do not use this company as you can see by the photos they have no clue as to what they are doing.

So far great. Good price and they didn't try to up the price once they picked up furniture yesterday in California. Tim, the driver was outstanding and the workers he brought were great, worked really hard and they stayed late to get everything packed. Will update in a week or so once it get to our new home in Washington.

Don't use this company. They obviously don't care about your things. They took my things out of storage and loaded them into a truck 2 weeks before actually driving it to my new state. There were soooooo many broken items, including furniture, and the tape used to pack had gotten so hot sitting in the truck in the very high heat in southern California for so many days, that it was impossible to get it all off. They didn't even bother to wrap my pappasan chair cushion and of course it was stained. When bringing my mattress in which had an expensive hypoallergenic cover on it, one of the guys' hands were black dirty which got all over the mattress cover and has not come out. Several pieces of large furniture, some new, had pieces broken off. Terrible experience.

There are mostly bad moving companies and then there are few worse moving companies. At least that’s what I thought all these years. American Home Movers really changed my perception. Here is moving company that maintains timing, employs excellent movers and has a customer service that is just awesome. I had a ball seeing the movers at work when they were moving my belongings from Arizona to Virginia. Everything went so smoothly and cleanly. Even the delivery went without any drama. American Home Movers is really the best moving company out there.

Do not move with these people. In fact, do yourself a favor and rent a truck and move yourself. It will be cheaper and less of a headache to hire help to load and unload your truck, but drive it yourself. The quote they give you will be about half of what they actually expect you to pay once everything is loaded on the truck. Also, the "first available delivery date" actually means the first day they will start moving your things. I scheduled pickup to be 14 days before my arrival in the city I am moving to because they said it would take 14 days to get there. I called 6 days after they picked up my stuff to see where they were and when I could expect delivery and found out that they hadn't even STARTED MOVING! When I said that was absurd, they told me it was in "plain English on the contract". NO IT IS NOT. When they ask you to fill in your first available delivery date, I assumed that would be the first day I would be available to receive it, not the day I would like the, to start driving the 2200 miles to my new home! I don't understand why movers are all so shady. Why does this have to be a terrible experience??

If I could give this company negative stars I would. After spending over 3 hours on the phone with a Senior Relocation Specialist confirming my box count and inventory, I was confident in the $5,400 quote that I received to move our two bedroom house from Nashville, TN to Denver, CO. You can imagine my reaction when the driver shows up on our moving day and tells me that my estimate will need to be increased by $2,000!! My husband and I felt like this company had us over a barrel and we were left with no choice but to come up with the extra money. And if that isn't stressful enough we had to chase this company for copies of our inventory paperwork and to schedule our delivery date. I was starting to wonder if our belongings had ever made it to the storage facility in Las Vegas at all. Many frustrated phone calls and different managers later we received our belongings which consisted of crushed boxes and damaged furniture. Even with everything "professionally wrapped" in blankets we submitted 9 claims for damage. With the appalling customer service that we have received throughout this entire process I doubt anything will come of our claims, but the least I can do as a public service is warn others by sharing our experience.

My move with American Home Movers was the best I’ve had so far. I move houses and even states quite regularly owing to the nature of my work and I’ve relocated four times in the last three years. I’ve varied experiences with moving companies but most them only annoy me due to their lack of appropriate skills when handling people’s properties, or their lack of care for my things or even out-and-out negligence. However, American Home Movers were different. They did everything to ensure the safety of my hard earned stuff, from expertly packing them in them in their moving tools to being extra vigilant and insightful. I liked their safety first approach and you can be sure that you won’t lose any of your things when you use American Home Movers.
