We used this company to move us to another city on August 31st, 2017. I love that we had a personal appointment (not the cell phone appointment the other company offered). I like that it's locally owned and not a chain. Everything was explained to me and I was very comfortable that our belongings would be respectfully handled. They were on time, got done before the estimated time, respectful and nice to work with. While moving can be a pain, these guys help ease it with their great service. Highly recommended.

Professional family owned business! Very reasonable storage prices, they stored our household items for 3 years while we were in transition and never once did I worry about our things! We moved across the country, prices were great and staff was very friendly and helpful. Moving is stressful enough, let the folks at Heartland Moving take away some of that stress!! Will definitely recommend Heartland Moving to anyone needing to move (or store their items!) across town, state, or even country!!

Really appreciate the excellent, efficient work of Shawn et al. this past week. They helped with two moves — one across town and the other cross-country. The rates are competitive, you can actually talk/meet with a live person, and the teams that came to the house were very professional and hard-working. Terrific group of people that did a fantastic job! You will be happy you chose to work with this group! From the original consultation with the owner, Lee, the packing-up experience with a great group of men, thru the caring driver, Sean, there was complete professionalism along with a touch of compassion. The men were respectful of me, my stuff and one another. Sean checked in with me regularly to be sure I was doing ok as he clearly recognized this situation can be stressful. What a great personal touch! When something unexpected happened on our end, both Lee and Sean were understanding and accommodating. I cannot say enough about this company and their people. Hire them!

Excellent experience, moving a rather large house with lots of items and heavy furniture, up and down tricky stairways. Prompt, great communication, and extremely fair pricing. Also very flexible and accommodating, even when I changed my mind three times as to how furniture should be arranged. Moving can be a bad experience, and I've heard plenty of horror stories about movers. In this case, everything went smoothly and perfectly on moving day. Even though moving is difficult, working with Heartland really helped.

The movers that came out were great. HOWEVER the huge issue was being overcharged. We set up an appointment for 9am and got our own truck. The reason for setting up the appointment was due to the time our prearranged truck would arrive. The movers arrived about 45min prior to the appointment and started the clock when they left. Travel time is understandable to charge for, but not time sitting there because you arrived early. Since we didn't have the truck, they didn't do anything before 9 am, but still charged us the time, and with rounding up to the hour for charges, when all was said and done we were charged an additional $102 because of the early arrival before they were scheduled. Huge miscommunication between the scheduler and the movers that resulted in us being overcharged by over $100. We specifically made the appointment because we knew we wouldn't have the truck any earlier. If it doesn't matter when movers arrive, it is good quality service. If you want to start at a specific time, I do not recommend Heartland, as their issues with scheduling came out of my pocket at a hefty price.

I am very disappointed in the communication practices of this company. We received an estimate, had communicated dates for pick up and delivery and were finalizing price. I asked for a final written estimate and the next correspondence I receive from them was this- "I am sorry for the delay. We are no longer going to be able to handle your move in this timeframe. My apologizes for any inconvenience". (Keep in mind this was only 3 weeks before the pick up date we had discussed with them for our cross country move!) When I responded to the email for further explanation I received nothing in return. I ended up calling to see what happened and they said they filled our spot with someone else.

We had a very good experience with Heartland. They arrived on time and got our move completed in a day. They sent plenty of help and the movers worked hard in extreme heat. There were no surprise charges and I had no issues at all.
