Bad place to work as a truck driver. This company doesn't value they're drivers or office employees. They only care about putting drivers behind seats of tractor trailer so that they can pay for the trucks then they find away to make it difficult for driver to earn a decent wage, once their ready to trade in the vehicle.

Good trucks as well good trailers also but we are not here to look nice on a nice truck we are here to make money im from el paso tx and i get a very hard time everytime i want to go home i have about 3 months working with kllm 3 home times and i have to pay 650 miles of diesel or the rental car price so even that week i only run the most 1000 miles well and in addition every time i deliver a load i have to wait 1 to 3 days sitting and waiting for a new load im really sad to quit but now im on my last trip for kllm...

Great company to work for. My husband has been with the KLLM for over two years, he gets over 3000 miles a week, brings home good money. I hear all the negativity about this company from drivers on these reviews. Have you ever stop to think that the drivers were not doing there job. If the truck is not rolling they will not make money. If they turn down loads they are turning down money. My husband is one of the top drivers that the company trust to get the loads delivered on time. And I know that for a fact. Because of the company I am able to be a stay at home mom and homeschool our children and take care of our mini farm. My husband has done over 3900 miles a week as a solo driver. He has been driving for over 18 years and out of all the major companies this is the best he has ever worked for and that includes the railroad and the oilfield. All the truck drivers that want to complain about dispatchers and payroll apparently y'all are not making the money. So my advice to you is to move on, because KLLM does not need your drama. "We're in desperate need of drivers" Okay but clearly not. I've been wanting to drive for YEARS. Waited until I hit 21. Waited until my kid was independent enough that I felt comfortable leaving her with her father for long periods of time repeatedly. I applied at the hinds here. But then i was rejected from KLLM. I got accepted into Hinds, though. No clue how I'm going to afford it, seeing as my financial aid is at another college for my prerequisites for pre-pharmacy. My significant other and I had started planning where the money would go, how bills would situate, my driving technique, etc. And then I was told to reapply in 6 months .Lol do I look dumb? I'll just go to Swift and Schneider. They're better companies anyway

shipped 5 pallets of processed hamburger meat from cows on buddies farm took it to the warehouse and they used kllm the reefer unit caught fire and the whole shipment was spoiled cause they couldnt transfer it to another truck there insurance is refusing to pay the warehouse and i cant get my money back NEVER GO NEAR THIS COMPANY EVER IT WILL BE LATE SPOILED OR STREWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHEN THE DRIVER FLIPS THE RIG ON AN OFF RAMP

horrible company to start with. all new hires will be forced to run team with what they call "trainers" -- something that should be against the law in my opinion... they will do anything they can to prolong your training period as long as possible.... then -- IF you get to become a solo company driver you will be pushed to lease/purchase a truck from them. if you don't want to run team or buy a truck they will just try to get rid of you.

Look, all companies have something that you're not going to like. You have to figure out what bs you can deal with. For me the bs is very low here. I get out of kllm what I put in. I enjoy trucking so that helps. Great pay and I always get home when I request to go home, with no issues.

BE AWARE!!!! THIS COMPANY ARE LIERS!!! Took a load from KLLM and James Weatherfold confirmed several times that the load is ready at the shipper. The load was not ready and our driver ended up spending 9.5 hours at the shipper. Now, James avoids any communication to pay for the detention.

Been here for almost 3 years... Great place to drive for.. I lease and they keep giving me all the miles I want. Yes it gets slow sometimes but what company doesn't... Trailers are very well maintained.. Dispatchers are good almost all the way around, except for the local in Atlanta. They get moody and have their favorites for short runs in the area. Maintenance shop is pretty good at all 3 big terminals. Overall a really good company...

I was on Ohio toll road around 3pm, July 13th. My air conditioner had stopped working. I had 3 small dogs with me, 2 were laying in floor as I was west bound with sun shining directly on front seat. A yorkie mix, was laying in sun coming through windshield. I went to push her in floor out of sun and when touching her found her unresponsive. I was approaching plaza so I pulled in truck and trailer parking area as I was pulling a small camper. The 18 wheeler was just pulling in to park and I got spot next to it. A young black man was getting out of truck and I was working with my dog I shouted could he help me. He quickly locked his truck, looked at situation and asked what he could do. I asked for water and ice and transmission fluid. I went to pour my drinking water on my dog but it was way to hot to put on her. He came back with everything plus said security man is on way out. He didn't want money but I had written him note and he helped put ice around her and helped massage her and pour water. She started moving her tongue and just layed there but was breathing. He had even got a cold water for me to drink. I didn't get his name but he wears a gold cross and looked to be in his 20's. He helped then left to take a bathroom break. On his truck window was # 7. # 56652was on fire extinguisher door. She is fine now,thanks to him. I JUST WANT TO THANK HIM ......AND KLLM TRUCKING COMPANY FOR HAVING SUCH A GOOD PERSON DRIVING FOR THEM.

Gemini Rule

Good company. Dispatchers need to have more responsibility in sending drivers the correct pick up numbers. We gotta drive, move tandems, dolly down, etc. Now we gotta call shippers/receivers to verify if we have correct pick up/delivery numbers. NOT! I'll sit at the ship/recv and Qualcomm they lazy asses until they send me correct numbers. Can u say detention/layover.$$$

It doesn't matter wether you run hard and be on time in the LP Program with the otr or other terminals because the very few against the many they do get treated badly is what's going to stand out. And, how does anyone really know if the very few aren't the favorites that are giving good reviews? Do your research, check their turnover rate, read the reviews. With the negative reviews use your good sense to discern the truth from fiction and with the good reviews do the same thing. Be careful of these LP Programs because these companies just want you to pay for their trucks, maintenance of their trucks at your expense, and don't care about you but what you can do for their trucks! Same goes here.

KLLM is only good if you're trying to get your CDL. I wouldn't recommend staying here long after because you get the run around so much. They are very unproffessional down from the safety director to the dispatchers to the load planners. They will mishandle your paychecks and then say they have no loads available to get you miles. If you want experience go for it however long term I wouldn't suggest it. They want drivers to pay off their trucks and will even give you negative checks to do so.

As a driver company i'm making .32 cpm i'm hoping to stay for 6 more months then looking to change companies paying .42 cpm "Heartland Express .. Sheneider" KLLM Is a good company to start,Have no complaints so far in some situations use your patience. I'm driving 2014 Freightliner took it out of the yard with 30miles "Brand New just for me.. I'm a OTR driver this gonna be my 2nd winter.. good luck to all of you looking to start careers with KLLM

Truck carrying a Jimmy Dean load, truck number 16223 almost ran my family off the Road not once, but twice. He was all over the road and when we were finally able to pass him of course he’s on his cell phone!

My husband is looking for another opportunity and the recruiter Shelly Kegan took some value time out to discuss his options with him on yesterday. She was very upfront, personable and professional. I honestly think after talking with her this would be a great organization for him to work for and with. Kudos to Shelley for doing a fabulous job. I was actually listening while she was talking about the opportunity and I was extremely excited with the ability that KLLM offers there drivers to get home. The company he works for now he out 3 to 4 weeks and I it extremely hard for him to get home. :-(

I like KLLM. I was leased to swift for three years before coming here so yea KLLM is a good company. As long as your willing to run they're willing to give you the freight. I've been treated very well. Whenever I've put in home time, they always get me there, I've never had a problem getting home. Now if you live in Florida like I do, you will have a hard time getting there. There just ain't much freight goin to Florida. But anywhere else you'll be fine. Your better off just leaving your personal car in Jackson or morrow Georgia and leaving your big rig there n driving home. Just FYI for all y'all living in Florida.
