Movers showed up on time, were very professional and took excellent care of our items. Unloading was seamless and they even helped me take a heavy item we already had at the house upstairs without an issue. I used the service on 8/31/17. Scheduled with an estimator that came out to my home and gave me a "good" quote. Sent 2 guys to my home in a uhaul but wore the Palmer moving shirts. When unloading truck, I noticed a cleaner box was smashed on my couch. They brock a bed frame because they did not disassemble and gouged up all my wood furniture because none of it was wraped. when I called company to see what they would do to fix it, they said the guy that came out to do the quote had not worked for them in 6 months and did not have me in their system. The movers did however work for the company but even so, they would not take responsibility for it. All I have to say is "buyer beware" with this company. Ex-employee name was Rob Durham that gave the estimate and should be prosecuted for his fraudulant activities and Rocky, the current employee should be fired since he is a terrible mover to begin with! Plus, I am missing a bag of tools that somehow where never found yet I saw them put it on the truck on the second trip but never came off. When I called on it, they said that was our bag. My bag looked nothing like there's so not sure how they could mistake that. The damages and missing items total more than what they charged me to move the stuff just 3 miles down the road. Never again will I use this company and will let everyone know exactly why I would not recommend them.

My experience with each and every Palmer employee was superb. I had four national movers provide quotes for my move to AZ. The Palmer sales rep Mark provided a detailed quote and stood by everything that he promised. He even bailed me out of a bad deal with another mover. Shondra the coordinator made sure that things progressed as plan before during and after the move. Tim the driver, really made the actual move go smother than I thought it would. Moving the contents of an entire home across country can be extremely stressful. From the moment Tim showed up in his 18 wheeler to the time he drove away after delivering my things I was totally at peace. Sean from Palmer's corporate office showed up. He was great also Great company, great people.. Thanks, thanks, thanks .

Moving 2000 miles isn't easy, and navigating the sometimes seedy world of interstate moving companies can be intimidating. Palmer Moving made the experience as stress free as possible. From the initial contact to the final walk-thru everything was handled in a professional manner. They sent a picture and bio on my moving estimator Mark, who provided a fair estimate, coupled with helpful advice and assistance during the packing phase. Jessica the move coordinator stayed on top of things, providing updates and checking in frequently during the move process. Chris the driver and his local moving crews were consummate professionals, ensuring my personal property and residences were protected and handled with care. You may find cheaper movers, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. I would recommend Palmer moving without hesitation.

This was the first time I actually hired Palmer Moving & Storage Co. in Berkley is definitely a daunting task. The customer service was amazing and they kept in touch throughout the whole setup process and gave us COI for our buildings. We asked the move to start at 9am and they got here at 8:30am! They got here early! And talk about the speed! They brought 4 guys, but were kind enough to give us the 3 man rate and they moved everything from our 500sq ft apartment to my current location in 3.5 hours. That includes commute, getting through our confusing building complex, moving the truck to a different block, packing up at least 20 boxes, tables, bed, and TVs! They made sure to wrap all of the important furniture and mattress with blankets and had dollies that literally moved everything so quickly. No sweat or stress on our side. I would highly recommend these guys after I just looked them up on a whim. Make sure to tip them well as they are super hard workers.

The crew that moved my son was courteous, professional and very cautious of all belongings. They made sure protective covering was put down on the carpet of the new place. They asked repeatedly where boxes needed to go in the new place. They protected everything very well in the truck and no damage was experienced. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the crew and Palmer moving and would not hesitate to use them again.

Terrible moving experience. The communication has been extremely poor. Every issue we had in our move could have easily been avoided, or at the very least understood, with better communication. Moving across country is already a very stressful experience. Botching the communication around setting expectations and then delivering on them made the already stressful experience exponentially worse. I would NOT recommend using this outfit for your moving needs.

Very disappointed in Palmer Moving's handling of my family's belongings and their complete denial of responsibility when I submitted a claim for damage reimbursement. I would not recommend them to anyone. The people they hired to pack our belongings were completely careless and negligent in the care and wrapping of some of our most expensive furniture. Plus, I ended up spending 4+ hours to pack and move my all of the boxes from around the house and get it staged by the front door for them so they could load the next morning because they were short on packers the first day and decided to leave early. There were a number of items that were damaged as a result of not being wrapped or packaged well. Upon opening boxes, we found other belongings were just lazily placed in boxes without any wrapping or care. I filed a $500 claim for our entertainment hutch (a $3,000 piece of furniture) because they damaged it in the moving process by not properly wrapping it. Prior to moving, I purchased their "Extra Care Protection Plan" with a $500 deductible and paid a premium for that protection. Rather than acknowledge their negligence or responsibility, and correct something that happened as a result of their carelessness, they denied the claim and said the amount of damage was equal to my $500 deductible policy. Your people knowingly damaged my property and rather than make an attempt to fix it, or provide some compensation for it, you hide behind your "extra care protection plan", for which I paid a premium for. What a joke! I would never use this company, or their parent company, North American Van Lines, again!!!

I have never hired movers before and was super skeptical about it. I researched for days and days to find the right company. I got referred to Palmer by some friends who have used them as well. The owner Chris is incredibly nice and his customer service is top notch. Apparently they don't even work on Sundays and made time for me. He had his 2 top guys move me, Jamie and Tevon. They got everything out of my house and made 2 stops bw where I'm living and the storage unit. These guys never even took a 5 minute break and worked the entire time so hard with the best attitudes. I made sure I had some Gatorade and water for them to make it a little easier as well. They were so careful with of my belongings as well without a scratch. I'll definitely use them and refer thhem for every move!!! Thanks so much guys!!!!

Let me start by saying that I don't usually leave reviews of any kind people are paid to do a job and that is what one would expect. The middle of June 2019 Palmer Moving Services was hired to move my mother-in-law from her house to a new location. Over the years I have had dealings with several differend movers. Never have I had the pleasure of such a polite and professional team of people. Every thing was moved with great care and nothing was damaged. If I were moving across town or across the country the only mover I would call is Palmer Movimg Service. Oh and by the way they were cheaper and faster then the rest Thanks for a great job Pete.

Overall experience was okay. The reason this is 3 * is because 1) the estimate I was originally given for an arrival date was a week off. I negotiated time off my new job to be home when my goods arrived - that didn't happen because of their initial estimate was way off. 2) the 3rd party company they hired MSS to disassemble my furniture was bad. They lost my furniture hardware and didn't re-connect everything that was unassembled from the destination, and refused to help while onsite. I had to call Palmer to complain because to get it fixed.

This was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had moving. It started out well or so I thought with the packing. The delivery window they gave us was approximately 10-14 days which seemed really long. But I didn’t have a lot of choice so I went with it. The truck showed up a week late. With two guys to help unload it. Less than ideal. I just opened the last of the boxes and found a 30 pound vice and all my tools loose in a box sitting on top of all my sensitive reloading equipment. Scales, dies, calipers loose in a box being crushed under the weight of the vice and tools above. Unacceptable. My advice is that if you have a choice look elsewhere. Or better yet do it yourself and save 10k.

From start to finish, we had the best experience with Palmer! Each staff member we encountered was professional, courteous, and even fun to work with -- just totally relatable and kind people in all regards. We moved from Ohio to Florida and it was no easy job… our home filled almost 3/4 of the truck, plus they also moved my parents on the same truck to a different location. They made everything seamless and we never worried about a thing. The staff repeatedly called or emailed to check in on us, which assured us that they were on top of everything. They worked with our schedule over a holiday weekend and made all of our requests happen with a smile. Mark, Larry and Gary were beyond phenomenal. They worked so hard and not once did we ever hear one complaint or even a sigh. Moving can be super stressful, but I swear these guys were a blast to have around. We had lots of laughs, and our kids fell in love with them, too, as they made our boys feel a part of everything. We would recommend Palmer without hesitation, the job they did for us was nothing short of superb.

After reading lots of reviews for several moving companies, I chose Palmer. On moving day they came a little earlier than expected and after I explained how I had marked some boxes for outside in the shed, some for upstairs and some for downstairs they got right to work loading. Upon delivery they tried to make sure they put everything where I wanted it. They worked quickly and the final bill came in $3 under estimate! I would use this company again if I move again.

The many times I had to delay our move date, Jessica the move coordinator worked with us to make us happy. The North American truck was as clean as it could be. Palmer Moving is awful. We hired them to pack and move (out of state) and wish we would have used anyone else. Their office staff are poorly informed and don't communicate with the people in the field. Once they had our goods on their truck they would not provide the weight (which was the basis of the pricing) and would not commit to delivery dates. When they did deliver, they only delivered a portion of our things, it was a disaster. For example: one child's bed arrived, the other child's bed did not. We had no sheets or towels. It was a total disaster, and the worst part was they acted as though it was business as usual and showed no concern for making it right. Over a week later they sent a "recovery" delivery which was supposed to contain the remainder of our possessions. After the "recovery" delivery we are still missing boxes. They are now in "trace mode." They will not provide timelines or how this gets resolved (but Palmer made sure they received full payment before the second delivery). The people at Palmer have shown no interest in completing their service. They made sure to get paid in full & are content drawing this out until we are exhausted and quit calling them. Palmer lost thousands of dollars of our possessions, but by claiming they are "tracing" them they are using a loophole to deny us restitution to go out and buy the things we need to get on with our lives. I wish I would have never called them.

Overall not a bad experience with Palmer Moving but the mover Vince was 2.5 hrs late to load up our stuff and broke a few things in the process. They were also 2.5 hrs late to drop the stuff off as well. So not very good with being on time but everyone was nice overall and got our stuff from A to B.

Unfortunately, I had an awful experience with my cross country move. Three days before my scheduled pick up was to happen I received a call telling me they did not have a driver for me and could not honor the contract I signed 4 months prior to this scheduled move. I was told that this happens a lot in the summer since it’s a popular time to move. Really? Their solution (since I had to be out of my home on that day) was to get another company to pick up my entire move and put it in storage for 3 weeks where my 3 bedroom home was shoved and stacked wherever it could fit. When they finally had a driver going to my destination, (again, I had to wait for a driver going west) my belongings were picked up and packed on another truck. So essentially, my belongings went through 2 packings and unpackings before being brought to my new home. Needless to say, many items were broken, crushed and damaged. Absolutely no discount was given or any compensation was offered because my items arrived in their 20+ day window regardless of how it got there. Unfortunately, when you hire a reputable company to move you out, you trust that they will come on the day you agreed to, so when they cancelled my moving day I was left with no options since the owner of the home I just sold was moving in the next day. I had no decent options since I needed to be out. It was an extremely stressful situation. No, I do not recommend this company since clearly their policy allows them to cancel your scheduled move days before it is to occur to leave you scrambling to find solutions. Very disappointing for such a reputable company...or so I thought.
