Decided to give this local moving company a try after reading great reviews on Yelp. My moving service included 3 men and a 20" truck. The guys were great and greatly reduced the stress involved in moving. My biggest complaint was that they took longer than they could have. I had enough stuff for a 1 bedroom apartment. My new apartment was just 1 block away from the old one in Somerville. If it hadn't been for their smoking breaks, they could have easily done the job in 3 hours instead of 4. Also, they didn't have any other jobs for that day - perhaps that was another reason for them to take it easy? In comparison, another moving company had moved the same amount of stuff from Waltham to Somerville in less than 3 hours .. including travel time! Update 0: I had a conversation with the owners after the move and they promptly addressed my concerns and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely consider them for my next move.

My wife and I recently hired Precision Movers to move us out of our top floor apartment in Somerville into our new house in the suburbs. We were extremely pleased with our experience. The whole process was extremely easy and efficient for us, starting with booking the move. On the day of, they arrived on time. First was a consultation of what was going/staying, then it was right into action. They cleared out the apartment in just about two hours, and came back in to double check that they had gotten everything. Then it was right off to the new house. Moving in took even less time and they coordinated with my wife where everything should go. Polite, courteous and highly professional moving crew. No breakage, scratches or even dents on the boxes. It was the easiest move of our lives (and we’d hired movers in the past). We highly recommend Precision Moving to anyone looking to move smartly—timely, easy, no stress and worry free. Thank you!

Very disappointing experience. We were told we would be the first stop of the day. At noon, no one had shown up. We had to go with another company. Then their cleaners showed up at almost 9pm and charged $250 and told me they were giving me a deal... a joke!! Do not use them unless you have no expectations!

These guys are incredibly fast and extremely careful. We hired three guys from Precision to move our belongings from a rental truck to our sixth floor apartment. Our elevator has been out of service, so we knew we would need the help. After two or three exhausting trips on our own, we decided to hunker down and wait for the movers to arrive. They were scheduled to arrive between 12p and 3p, but they arrived at 11:45a and started immediately. I could not believe how fast they worked, and they did not take a break until the job was finished. We had several heavy pieces and boxes, but they moved them up all 102 stairs with ease. Not a single piece was damaged or even scratched. Even our cheap IKEA furniture made it all the way up issue-free. They were done with our entire move in two and a half hours; it would have taken us days. I cannot speak highly enough of the work they did, and there is no question in my mind that I will hire them again when we move out of our current apartment. If you're on the fence about hiring these guys, you should absolutely do it. You will not be sorry.

i was quoted a price, however, when the movers loaded my things the price justed an extra $500. Called customer service and they were very rude and told me they could not do anything about it and if i had extra things on the truck i should have taken it out. Before committing to this company other moving moving companies told me that the price i was quoted was realistic and that to be sure there would not be an hidden fees. Guess i should have asked. I would not refer this company to any of my co-workers that will be transfered; or anyone for that matter.

We were moving from two places into one. The movers were timely and communicated with us the whole time about what they were going to do. They were experts when it came to moving/putting together our furniture. They were very quick - we were done with all three places in about 3 hours, coming in under their estimate. I would definitely use them again!

The best movers I've had. Cheerful and friendly, plus QUICK. The last time I moved (using a different company) the leg broke on a cabinet I have, and I haven't gotten it fixed. These guys took extra care around the wobbly leg and offered suggestions to fix it. Such a positive experience.

This is the worst company ever. They picked up my furniture in December 11 and now it's January 1 and I still haven't got it. They keep saying we will call and they never do they keep saying you're stuff is going to be delivered in a week but it's been a month and my stuff still isn't here. This is the worst company I have ever hired and they have the worst customer service I will never use this company again. It doesn't even deserve half a star
