I got a new job in New Jersey, so it was time for me to think about moving. I started looking for the moving company to help me move from Boston. i searched in google for Boston to New York moving company and found this guys. In the page i have got all information about how i will be moved to my new place, but i decided to call them. Their manager Alex described me the whole process one more time and i understood that these guys know what they are doing! The actual day of move came and these guys were perfectly in time! They carefully wrapped and loaded all of my belongings. The next day they came at 7 in the morning and unloaded everything in just 40 minutes (i didn't have dat much staff).Totally recommend this Moving Company!

My husband and I hired BTM to move our 7 room apartment and a basement full of tools from Medford, MA to Florida in November. We made an excellent choice. I got a call back immediately after my on-line inquiry. I completed an inventory list and was surprised at how reasonable their quote was compared to other companies. BTM communicated with me ahead of the move and told me exactly when they would be arriving on the morning of the move, the amount of time it would take to arrive in Fl, and answered any questions we had. This was our first time hiring a mover. The decision to move to another state was stressful enough and BTM made the physical move painless. Three movers arrived right on time and systematically emptied our apartment. All furniture was well wrapped and taped in blankets. The movers were really nice, fun, and diligent. They were also very careful not to let any of our four cats out of the apartment. We moved from a second floor apartment and our stairwell was narrow. No problems-they figured it out. They were really efficient and very careful with our belongings. They moved our household on a Sunday and arrived in Florida on the following Thursday. The truck our furniture was packed into was the same truck that was driven to Florida. Nothing got transferred into a bigger truck. Two of the movers who moved us in Medford were also the drivers and unloaded in Florida. No one could have taken better care of our worldly processions. I recommend BTM highly. I cannot rave about them enough. Really nice guys, very professional, a lot of fun. We plied them with lots of coffee, water and treats while they were moving and sent them on with a bag of road food goodies. The snacks were just a small token of our gratitude. Alex (the owner) was exceptional and communicated with me from the moment I got the quote to the day before and even afterwards to ensure I had a positive experience. I opt for Borntomove service for my moving from Revere to Malden seeing 5 star review. But they really deserve 2 star. One + as they come on time. They took little long to deliver as expected to charge more amount. They broke one table due to mis handling. My sofa also got a cut left side. I sent the photos, but they didn't respond.

Born to Move was thorough and professional. Everyone from the office team members to the movers was friendly and accommodating, from the minute I submitted for an estimate all the way through moving day. Their office team followed up politely via both email and phone on my initial quote, called me to ask if I had any questions about my move after confirming the moving date AND the day before my move. The 2-man moving team called me before arrival and even arrived a few minutes early. They worked quickly and chatted pleasantly with us as we packed up our own car with items we wanted to move ourselves. All furniture was wrapped and padded as needed. On the other end, they carried our furniture up to the second floor, placed and unwrapped it with zero damage. All this for HALF of the estimated price, in the end. I had padded our budget for more than the estimate just to be safe, and was shocked. How often are you shocked in a GOOD way by the final sticker price?! I highly recommend Born to move based on our weekend move in March 2019. Born to move sucked a lot of the stress out of moving and delivered excellent value for the expense.

Pros - super flexible and willing to accommodate extra work and changes to move dates. Overall, nothing bad to say about the work they did on my move-in and move-out, however significantly under-quoted, so just a heads up on that. Cons - My move was a move-out, put items into storage for a month, and move-in to new spot. In the course of the month of storage, it appears my mattress was improperly stored as it came back to me with a massive ridge (bump) through the middle of it. It's a memory foam, so I was thinking if I just slept on it for a week, maybe it would return to normal. They had done an overall good job on the move, so I didn't want to be that person who complained if it went back to normal with a good few nights sleep. Over the week, however, the ridge did not go back to normal. I reached out to the company, who had been previously responsive, and somehow managed to become newly unresponsive. It took me weeks to get them to agree to some out with their "insurance company" to review the mattress in my home on a weekend. They came in, asked me questions, reviewed my receipt for the item that I strangely kept since it was a big purchase for me at the time. They concluded that the mattress defect was my fault since I was the one to put my own bed together that night. I wanted to get my rug down before putting my bed together - makes sense, right? How on earth a ridge could appear in the middle of my mattress in moving it from against the wall to my boxspring with two people is baffling to me. Secondly, the man they brought into my house for the inspection is actually someone who either works for Born to Move now or worked for them at some point - there are several pictures of him in his Born to Move t-shirt on this very yelp page. When I questioned them about it, they say he "used to work for Born to Move and is now their insurance guy." I call BS. Even if this is true, it's a glaring conflict of interest. They offered me $200 for my "inconvenience" for a damaged $1,400 mattress (with proof!). I did not take the money as it felt insulting and I'm a "principle" kind of gal. Though the move went relatively smoothly, I have to give a 1 star for how they handled this situation. I don't trust them and have read several other reviews with people having issues when things get damaged. On top of a doubled cost in my move, I had to replace an expensive (essential!) item...not a pleasant way to end the situation.

This move was a tedious task the units didn't have elevators and required then to manually move the boxes and furniture several times across multiple floors. They worked their way through the tough task tirelessly and still managed to be super friendly and accomodating to our needs. These guys were awesome. Alex and Alfi moved our apartment from Cambridge, MA to Charlotte, NC in one day. They were efficient and careful with all of our stuff and very friendly. Alex was great at responding to emails, and they accommodated my work schedule so I could be there for the delivery. I was extremely impressed. The only thing I would recommend is to have a certified check ready to pay for your move. They recently changed their policy and their website doesn't reflect that yet. I highly recommend this moving company!

I was moving from Cambridge to South Boston. When I decided to hire a moving company for my one bedroom apartment I understood that it’s not so easy! You wonder why? I typed “moving company in Boston” in google search and understood there are a lot of moving companies in this area! So I have chosen few of them and went on Yelp to check reviews. I Choose Born to Move because they look different from others. So moving day came, and they show up perfectly in time and carefully wrapped all my items. After, they loaded everything in the truck, checked second destination address and left. In 30 minutes they were in South Boston, even faster than me! Unloading was twice faster (may be because I got Parking Permits) and everything was just perfect. I totally recommend this company to my friends and family, so they will get stress-free moves!

Moving is stressful. Born to Move made it as seamless as possible. At least for Boston to NYC moves, I couldn't recommend them more. I was contacted immediately after filling out an online form. We settled on a move-out date, and I was then provided a flat-rate cost. The movers came on schedule, wrapped my belongings as needed, disassembled my bedframe, and were overall very respectful and easy to communicate with. The total cost was the exact amount reflected in the flat-rate estimate, which was a shock to me. My things arrived the next morning in my new location. Again the team was easy to work with and respectful. Overall, I'd highly recommend the service.

Do not hire them to move your items into storage. They will claim zero responsibility for the items. So when you open the storage container that had been sitting in your yard untouched for 3 months and you find damage; you are out of luck. I'm sure this is true for all moving companies but they ruined a $3000 table for me and now looking how they loaded it, I can see why. They placed it against one of the metal posts and not flush with the pod. And so it cracked. I also noticed some heavy glass shelves placed on a chair and made indentations on my sofa chairs. I'm hoping they bounce back... *** Don't hire for pod-only moves. They do not take the appropriate care if they are not responsible for the contents later. ***

This company is named appropriately. They did a phenomenal job moving my belongings with no scratches, nothing breaking, and extreme diligence. The customer service was friendly and that is ultimately what encouraged me to keep going through with using this company. One of the major things I look for before moving forward. This company made me a believer when I was hesitant and paranoid. Moving is always a stressful process and from what I've experienced over the years and heard from my closest friends, that is NOT an exaggeration. The crew arrived to my house on time and they were quick and efficient. They were not caught taking any unexpected breaks and were professional. Their rates are affordable compared to most moving companies. With all these elements in play, I would use them again!

Incredible! Very trustworthy company! Damitri and his team are incredibly professional and efficient. I had a horrible experience with another company in the past and I was very nervous this time and I really had no reason to be. I was in great hands from the very beginning with Born to Move. They tell you the price from the start and it's the exact price at the end. They don't try to up charge you or make you pay additional fees. Hands down the best experience I have had moving. I moved from Boston to NYC and it was SEAMLESS.

These guys did a great job for a reasonable price, particularly considering the move we needed help with, which was simply shifting items around the house to refinish some floors. Other places wanted to charge us the cost for a full move, which made no sense. We received estimates in the $600-$800 range for each half of the job, whereas these guys checked in under that in total, even with the three-hour minimum. They made sure at least one member of the two-man team that moved us returned to move everything back, which made things easier, since he knew the house. Highly recommended.

Then we finalized the details of the forthcoming move. On the day of the move everything went very smoothly. The movers were very professional in their work. They showed up two hours late, forcing us to split our move into two days and costing me an additional move-in fee at my new building. When I asked for a discount to cover that additional fee, they offered a laughable “5% if you pay in cash.” Terrible professionalism, terrible service. Do not use this moving company.
