They clearly were familiar with the specialized way to pack up and move a grand piano and had the right equipment and packing materials to do it right. Allston moved an extremely awkward & heavy console player piano out of my home this morning along with about 300 scrolls. They were prompt, friendly, efficient and very careful. I would have no reservations about using them again. I have a new baby grand coming in a few months and they’ll be moving that as well.

I was extremely impressed with the service I received from Allston Piano while moving my new baby grand piano into the house and moving my spinet downstairs. Ian was very responsive and accommodating during the initial setup of the move. On the day of the move Nuno, Ted, and Thomas were competent, polite, quick, efficient, and careful with the pianos. They even sprayed some WD-40 on the pedals for me before reassembling them because I noticed they were squeaky! I would NEVER trust any other mover with my pianos.

My piano is sentimental to me where my mom bought it 2nd hand in 1969. We had in our home for 38 years and were moving it from a 2nd floor to be refinished in Quincy. They came and figured it would go the same window it came in in 1981. All things were measured and the window removed to get it out and onto the truck by crane. They carefully covered it and were very professional. I am sure when the piano is redone I will be calling them again to bring the piano back but it will be able to get into the front door when that time comes. Highly recommended! I am sure my mom would be happy we have kept the piano with us!

Piano moving is expensive but the price quoted was fair compared to others. It was very easy to schedule pick up and delivery. The process was efficient. I got an email reminder the day before with a time frame, and an update on the day regarding actual time. The movers placed the piano exactly where I wanted it. Would recommend.

There was a very tight angle at the bottom of the stairs before a turn to get through my apt door and they quickly came up with a solution and within minutes it was prefectly in place!
