We are doing a renovation on our existing home so had to move items to Easterns storage facility. For our garage items my husband wanted to pack it himself so Eastern dropped a POD off in advance of moving day. Moving day started with rain, then snow, then gale force winds that were knocking people off their feet! Through it all our crew: David, John, Angel and Randy were cheerful, professional, prepared and hardworking. Pricing was as discussed in my initial estimate. When our house is done, we will have it all brought back. I hope that I get the same crew on the "flip" side.

So here I am not even 24 hours til my move tomorrow and I get a call stating that my move is being cancelled because workers don't want to work. Did I get rescheduled or offered any consolation. Not at all. What I did get was Gail telling me how sorry she was that she has to make the call. Well guess what Gail not as sorry as I was to receive it. Can I speak to how efficient or reliable Easterns Moving and Storage was during my move...absolutely not because they never moved me. Stay Far Away from this unprofessional uncaring company.

The crew that performed the move was hard working and professional. However, when they lost the hardware needed to re-assemble our bed; the crew leader tried to contact the company owner for direction. The owner did not answer his phone. After several attempts the crew leader assured us the owner would send someone with new hardware to assemble the bed the following day. This never happened. We never heard from the owner or anyone else. I bought the hardware and assembled the bed myself. The crew leader was good, but if anything goes wrong don't expect the owner to do anything about it.

These guys did an absolutely amazing job for us from the first phone call till move in! We had a complicated move with moving out of 2 different townhouses into 1 single family home. They stored our stuff overnight so we could make sure we had no stress on the day we had to close on all 3 houses. They communicated well throughout the process and arrived on time on move out day and move in day. The day we moved into our new house it was pouring rain and they all had smiles on their faces and awesome attitudes the entire time! They also put down cardboard to keep the house clean and they unloaded 2 trucks of stuff in about 4 hours! Super efficient and affordable compared to the 10 others I checked out. I would definitely hire these guys again!

I have moved three times in the past 8 years, and I have used Eastern Moving & Storage everytime. The professionalism and courtesy that you receive from the EMS crew is insurmountable. I have several pieces of furniture that are very large and heavy, and all of my residences have had ridiculous staircases, but the guys at Eastern Moving & Storage magically maneuver all of my furniture into place without even a smudge on the walls. The movers at EMS work quickly and diligently throughout the entire moving process. I have received estimates from other companies in the past and no one has even come close to the EMS estimates. All the movers were courteous, professional, and hard working. They moved all of our furniture and boxes in just a few hours. They took the time to pack everything carefully with moving blankets and even special packing for fragile items like the mirrors. Nothing was damaged, items or walls. Their services saved alot of stress and back pain during our move.

Watch Your Feet! Not only did this company manage to crack the foot of my couch, they also managed to do damage to the foot of an antique chest of drawers that I specifically asked them to be extra careful with. I was assured by Mike, the sales person, and James, the crew manager, that they would take care of this valuable and sentimental piece of furniture. However, when they were bringing it up the stairs, they cracked the rear foot of the piece. A piece of the foot fell off, and, not knowing that I was watching, one of the crew members gestured to another to pick up the piece and pocket it before I could see it. I spoke with the crew manager, who assured me he would call me back the following day with some sort of remedy. Of course, I never heard back. Two weeks later, I called and spoke with Jim Bishop. The crew manager was no longer with the company. Mr. Bishop told me, essentially, that I was lucky nothing else was broken or damaged. I had two options at this point- take a $50.00 check, or have the company come and pick up the damaged piece, send it to some furniture repair shop in PA for several weeks, all while paying a $250.00 deductible and another $200.00 for extra insurance. If you have valuable items, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They took all the large furniture apart, professionally wrap it and then assembled it in my new home. Their service and politeness was beyond my expectations. Prices were the best in the area!!!! What a great moving service! From start to finish everything went smoothly. We received phone calls letting us know planned arrival times. Our 3 movers were on time, they introduced themselves and their manners were impeccable! Some of our furniture was very heavy. They moved and lifted all day without stop. They padded and taped everything securely and loaded on the trucks. There were no issues with any breaks or damage. Each piece of furniture and every box was put in the right area. They went above and beyond by assisting our furniture set up as needed. It was nice to see how well these gentlemen worked as a team. We highly recommend Eastern Moving Service. The prices are good and the movers even better!

All of the movers themselves were nice but a few of our items were damaged: bottom part of our bed frame, knocked the head off our lawn statue, dented our freshly painted wall. Was told that we should be receiving a phone call right away to discuss a credit or have someone come out to fix it but no one has called.

Please stay away from this company and the owner Jim is total ass. I had them move a heavy bar from my parents yard to my yard. I was told that I would pay a minimum of 3 hours which should be plenty of time to move 1 bar that is a total of 10 minutes away. I call them the day before to let them know that it has rained for the past 10 days and that it probably wouldn't work to move the bar on just a dolly across the wet grass. The receptionist Gail said that shouldn't be an issue that she would make sure the drivers knew to bring the right equipment. They get to the house and get the bar stuck in the grass. They have to go back to the warehouse to get plywood because they didn't bring any with them even though I told them the day before they would need something to move it. Jim charges me for the extra hour and a half that his movers were gone at the warehouse getting wood that they should have brought in the first place. When I tried to talk to him over the phone he said its not his responsibility for his movers to bring extra equipment that I should have told them to bring wood even though i did the day before. He then called and harassed my Mom the following day to get me to pay the difference. I would highly suggest staying away from eastern Moving company. The movers also Broke off a piece of the bar and Jim said they are not responsible to fix it that I can just "glue" the piece back on. Finally, his last remark to me is that one customer doesn't make a difference that they have been around for 30 years

This is a class act from estimate to finish. The moving crews are experienced guys who take their work seriously. They work very well as a team and are respectful of your property. It was one of the hottest days of the year and they never slowed down. When the move looked like it was not going to fit in the truck they had, another team was brought in so everything was finished on time and very close to the estimate. They never complained in spite of the fact we had them rearrange several large pieces of furniture. Very pleased with the move and the price. Would definitely use them again. After taking a few days to get things sorted out we noticed a few scratches and several wall/moulding scrapes. Nothing that you wouldn't expect with a move but enough to make it a four star move rather than a 5 star move. I think it was basically due to fatigue as the move occurred on the hottest day of the year,
