I had a wonderful team of 5 movers led by Juan Aachila they moved all of our belongings from a house in Oxon Hill, Md into two seperate apartments in Silver Spring, Md. They we very fast, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made the entire moving experience a breeze. I highly recommend them if your looking for help with a move and will use them again if I move in the future. ****Updated Comment***** As of 3/17/19 I have been trying to contact Bill Barrett (my moving consultant) and the Beltway Movers Company regarding the damages that were done to the rental property I moved from, a few items of mine that were damaged during the move, and the return of their moving and packing supplies that were left at my new residence. I was told that someone would get back to me. It's now 3/23/19 and I still haven't heard from anyone via phone or email. I am so very disappointed and confused especially regarding the lack of follow up I'm receiving.

Outstanding moving company. I scheduled my move with Kevin Lynch and Kelly and it was perfect. Three men arrived promptly at 8:00am. They were so professional, so polite, and so helpful. They said please and thank you every time they spoke. My furniture was wrapped and taped, and not a speck of it showed! They carefully loaded it into the truck and it is off to storage. Furthermore, Beltway Movers price was better than the competition too. Beltway Movers will be doing all of our moves.

I am sickened and appalled at how my move and my things were treated by beltway movers specifically Cristian. The day before the move I got a confirmation call stating there would be three movers, what I agreed upon in the estimate as well, and then when the truck showed up only two people were there. No one informed me beforehand or offered to make a change in the move date or time and I had to ask where the third guy was and only then did cristian say oh he’s not here we’ll get it done. This is when I should’ve said no and cancelled everything. Because of this, Cristian and Ariel had to work harder with just the two of them to complete the move and as a result my furniture was damaged. My grandmothers antique couch that I specifically asked to get wrapped was pushed and smashed in to walls because they were having a hard time getting it in to the elevator (the same elevator the couch came in on). It was one of the last pieces on the truck and the men were exhausted from moving everything before it so they didn’t have the proper amount of care, patience, or concern for what they were moving. When we got to the new place and I saw dirt and scuff marks and paint from the walls on the fabric cristian argued with me and tried to say that the white paint was “milk”. This couch is 30 years old and in pristine condition. No one eats or drinks near it, has never, and will never and milk doesn’t dry in a big thick white mark or black like the scuffed dirt on the back. I was and still am so upset about what’s happened. The plastic wrap broke on the couch and Ariel admitted he and Cristian did the damage and tried to diffuse the situation that was happening because he could see that cristian was lying and we were upset. My king size fabric headboard was also heavily stained with dirt as well. The move took so much longer than I agreed to or anticipated and I was charged almost $1000 only for my very meaningful furniture to get ruined. At the end Cristian did not explain the invoice to me, told me to sign in places, and when I read it where it says I’m releasing them I said no we need to talk about the damages and he said oh write it in the notes and they’ll call you. I felt like my hand was forced because of how much he was pressuring me. He also had the nerve to ask me to write a review on here and give him five stars so he can get more money at the end of the year. I will NEVER use beltway movers again and I do intend on warning everyone I know about this company and I will share my horrible experience. Perhaps others have had a good move but that didn’t happen with us.

I used Beltway this weekend to move out of a 4 story row house into a 2 story flat - on the 4th floor of an old mill. In other words...Lots of stairs. Frankie, Mike, and Oliver were awesome, making a stressful day go as smoothly as possible. They got everything out of my house and into my flat perfectly. I was given an estimate of 800-1000 on moving few blocks from one apartment to another (2 min apart). Despite that we packed beforehand almost everything (15 large Uhaul boxes) except for clothes that needed to go into wardrobes and miscellaneous, and disassembled all furniture, the bill came back double expectations ~2000. I emailed company and started getting delays in response. The movers sounded nice, and I trusted them and brought them lunch. They certainly were professional in their move. I just probably did a mistake by signing before the work has finished but had to go to work and couldn't oversee the rest of work. The truck had to park a little further because of construction (not my fault). The fact that I had to pay double the estimate is just too much to take. I would recommend people get on field estimate rather by phone estimates.

To save some money we used ABF U-Pack to ship the contents of our home from Fort Worth, TX to Germantown, MD. We loaded the trailer ourselves in Texas and intended to unload it ourselves in Maryland. But after getting it loaded and then driving halfway across the country we just didn’t have the energy or desire to unload the trailer ourselves. At the recommendation of our Realtor we contacted Bill Barrett at Beltway Movers. Once the trailer arrived at the ABF U-Pack facility in Maryland, Bill had a team set up to unload the trailer and bring the contents to our new home in Germantown. Admittedly it cost more than if we had done it ourselves, but Bill and Beltway Movers made it a quick and painless process. A special thanks to Greg, Al, Brian and Mike who actually did the heavy-lifting. They were friendly and got the job done in a timely manner. We won’t hesitate to contact Beltway Movers for our next move or to recommend them to others.

Beltway Movers - Polite, Fast, Reliable Hi folks, just wanted to review my experience with Beltway Movers and the workmen sent to unload my storage container to my garage. Overall they were nice, efficient, and worked quickly. There was a slight problem with the bill. The movers ended at 1pm but the bill of lading said 2pm. This was to account for getting the truck back to the warehouse. Because they are only a half hour away (at most) I called and spoke with their dispatcher. Of course, they handled it right away with a great attitude. I really can't complain about it. Even the driver (Christian) said he'd enter the right time when he got back to the warehouse. In the end I was credited back a half hour of both driver and truck cost per hour ($60 total) and my new grand total was almost exactly to the dollar what me and the manager had estimated the cost would be... I recommend these guys highly, especially Christian and his crew. They worked tirelessly and quickly and did a great job. Thanks! I am very happy. - VJ

What is particularly commendable is that it was raining the day of the move and they took extra precautions to cover the wood floors so they won’t get wet and cover the items being moved. Charged extra $300 after the move for things we are not responsible for - NOT the boxes or furniture, loading or unloading, or the distance between the move. Damaged new drawers. part of the crib, and mattress and when we spoke to the company about it, they offered a "touch up." A Touch up? Are you kidding? Are you going to sew the reaped mattress or what?

Cristian Yanez and Mr. JR are good workers but the problem is the company lost 2 of my boxes! Yes they were on time, but you might lose some of your stuff with them. The first time I asked about my boxes, I was told that “for sure they are in the company and they will bring it.” That happened when the movers were bringing the stuff back to my new apartment. I thought that I just have to contact the company. Unfortunately, I’m still looking for my boxes!! Even though the messing boxes are written in the 1st inventory bill!

I hate that I have to change what started as a 5 star review to 1 star. The team that we had was great, and when asked to do a review I quickly did one that same day bc we had a great experience with them. As we started to unpack the next day we had quite a few things that were damaged and missing - we took pictures and submitted them the next day (so this was now 2-3 days after the move, but we sent an email first thing letting them know that we had damaged and we’re going to provide pictures once we looked everything over). Slowly the response has become non existent. They took a few days to question the team (after me having to follow up a couple times first), and when they got back to me they said they wanted to send someone out to see the damages in person and possibly take some of the damaged items with them to fix them themselves. We were fine with them sending someone, but definitely not with them taking things after they had already damaged them - oh and did I mention we purchased EXTRA insurance? After that email my husband and I have followed up multiple times with no response. To be honest I wouldn’t be posting if they would at least stay in touch - but going silent especially after taking our money for extra insurance in the event that something like this happens is unacceptable.

Prior to move, Doug helped me set up a long distance contract. He came to home and assessed each room to determine an estimate. Very professional, kind, and responsive to all email/phone communication. Day of move, Davis, Edward, and Edwin were the best crew of movers I've ever worked with. They arrived early, assessed the area, and immediately got to packing the truck. Protected floors with coverings, brought extra packing materials to protect furniture. Davis was the mastermind, figured out how to fit everything in the truck. They moved quickly but also with care, they did not scratch or bump into anything. We moved out of state (VA to MD)... after the 2-hour ride, they continued with the same work ethic. They remembered where all my pieces were in prior home -- which helped them figure out where to put in new home. It was a hot day, did not stop their momentum! No hidden fees, final price was exactly the price discussed with Doug when I made contract. I am so pleased with Beltway Movers and would recommend this company to all. The idea of moving is an imense and daunting task. We were very nervous about finding the right company that understood what we wanted, was responsive to our needs, and would take the time to help calm our concerns. We reached out to multiple companies, but Beltway Movers were the first to hit all of our criteria the first time. From start to finish, we felt that Doug with Beltway Movers was right there for us. Doug reassured us through the process that our big concerns were going to be listened to. He came to our apartment, walked the property, and actually laid eyes on what we needed moved. He calmed our anxiety. The day of was perfect as well. The crew showed up early, worked in the pouring rain, and were absolute professionals. They did a task that I couldn't. They were responsive to the location of items, they packed things perfectly, and best of all they cared. Our heirlooms were their heirlooms. These guys are great. Both my wife and I have used them multiple times. We have worked with Kevin L. and his team each time and they have been outstanding. He and his team have best the customer service of any moving company we have ever worked with. They have been responsive to our needs and have good prices. They also have incredibly positive attitudes and are really easy to work with. Each time I have used them I have given them very little lead time prior to my move and they have worked hard to fit me in and still within reasonable prices. I'm sure that we haven't been the easiest on them with our short notice requests, but they have always made it happen. The day of the move they have been punctual and professional. I have used them to move out of the DC-Baltimore region and back. Really appreciate these guys and their good work. Can't say enough good things about these guys. We will definitely use them again next time we have to move.
