We have moved around the world , in the US, and Europe so many times and this was one of the least stressful moves for us. The representative of Fox & Ginn (Michael J.) was very professional, helpful and accommodating. The packers/movers were friendly and quick. Their counterpart in the destination country was also excellent. They took care of the paperwork without any problem and then sent our stuff home with another very friendly and helpful team. International moves can be really stressful and complicated and these guys made it so easy. Thank you very much for a great service.

Brian and Jason arrived on time, actually they were early. They were very courteous and efficient and finished the move in a timely manner . They had two big refrigerators to move through tight doorways in two different homes and did it very well and safely as well all the other furniture they moved. Good experience. Gentlemen who arrived introduced themselves and were very professional, but friendly. I They worked really hard and never complained, even though mostly everything had to be carried up a flight of stairs with a landing. They had to get two 400-500 lb. gun safes up those stairs. I do have to say that if the movers had unloaded the furniture first, instead of the boxes, my unpacking would have been so much easier. I enlisted Fox & Ginn Movers for two moves. The initial move was the first time I had hired professional movers vs the DIY method I had done for the past 50+ yrs... beginning in my college days. They wowed me the first time and duplicated that initial experience with my latest move. They are accurate, timely and extremely personable. All employees from sales, dispatch to the personnel who actual do the moving had the same attitude of gaining customer trust and customer satisfaction. The moving crews take great pride in their job and it's reflected in the care they take of their equipment as well as customers belongings. We have moved often and have had good and not so good experiences. Of course we wanted a company that would be reliable, trustworthy and able to get the job done in the best way possible. Fox & Ginn met our every expectation. First, they provided enough manpower. A super crew! Second, we were pleasantly surprised that the crew was able to fit together our European furniture with little to no instruction. Third, the crew was pleasant, respectful, patient, and efficient. Moreover, several weeks after having returned to pick up our empty boxes, the company called and informed us that my wedding ring set had been found in the bottom of a box by one of the crew. It had slipped off while unpacking. I was reunited with my wedding set and cannot express enough how deeply grateful we are. I highly recommend Fox and Ginn and we would use them again.

WARNING!!! If you are thinking of moving DO NOT HIRE Fox and Ginn Movers!! They are a TERRIBLE company. My parents "moved" from Maine to Georgia. Their house was packed up on June 1, 2015 and they were given a timeframe of from June 5-10, 2015 for delivery (with June 10th as the latest date of delivery). As of today, June 15, their household furniture and goods are still in Maine. They can not get a hold of ANYONE that can tell them when their furniture and goods will be delivered. We tried to call the corporate headquarters and all we get are people's voicemails. We leave a message but NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK. One lady even hung up on my mom. My elderly parents are living in an empty apartment in their new retirement community with just a bed and folding table and chairs that were lent to them. WHAT HORRIBLE SERVICE. They spent almost $8,000 to move their house and NOTHING. This is absolutely the worst moving company in the United States (probably the world). REPEAT - DO NOT HIRE Fox and Ginn Movers!!! You will be sorely disappointed, not to mention going crazy trying to find out what happened to your things.

Edit: With some delay but with a reasonable explanation the company helped us through our issues with the move in a professional manner. Mistakes happen in any business and what differentiates them is how they deal with them. In this case, considering their guiding policy, they have done everything and beyond with many thanks to the primary manager. Thank you. We packed our boxes and had our furniture disassembled and assembled at the destination. During the packing one of the crew worked for almost on hour on our bed before informing me (I happened to be in the house) that they could not disassemble it because the screws were stripped. It took me less then 20 minutes to drive to Home Depot, get a bit to get the stripped screws out and take the bed apart. During the move in the crew noticed much hardware missing from the furniture (one bed and two book cases). They went back and forth for a while before they decided to just get some lumber and cut it to size to replace the missing bed support. By the time we got to unpacking and setting things up we noticed that 1. The "lumber" they got was not only fit or supportive but simply tossed under the bed frame without actually attaching it. 2. The slats on the bed normally run parallel and are screwed in into existing holes - the crew simply made new holes (see image) in the frame not evening bothering to keep the slats straight and missing to attach them in several places. 3. Our children's bed was "assembled" ... though I found supportive hardware in my children's closet later. 4. The replacement hardware for the bookcases did not fit and was thus useless and we were not able to place the shelves. 5. Our TV, even though we provided the original box for transport, had a 3 inch scratch in the screen. We contacted the company spokes person within two weeks and almost three weeks later we have yet to get a response even. The impressions they left during the move were otherwise good, straight forward and "We will take care of that, Sir" type ... All was accommodating until the bill was paid and then the "services" ended. At this point we can not recommend this company.

Best movers ever. The office staff was polite and extremely efficient and pleasant. The men who came to the house were respectful, diligent, and very industrious. To top it all off our actual expenses were considerably less than the quote. It would have been very easy for them to charge us the initial price, however they did not and they also let us know right away that it would be less. We were very, very impressed with them and most definitely would recommend them to anyone.

I did extensive research and got numerous estimates before I decided to go with Fox and Ginn and they did not disappoint! Nikki, Mike, and Frank were all like a small family who made sure I was their top priority for any request I made. They moved all my furniture and boxes from Pittsburgh all the way to Bangor Maine and stored them in their facility for 3 months until I was ready to have them delivered to my new home. They use Allied for moving and communicated with them very well so I don't have any problems. The guys that finally delivered my stuff from storage to my new home worked for them and were very respectful and on time. In terms of pricing they gave me the best quote and were not overpriced. The only thing I would recommend if you are using them to store your things, and thats because I didn't understand how the process works, is for you to make your own list of inventory of your boxes and number them because the list that Allied made when they picked up my stuff and asked me to sign on was all written by hand and you could not understand anything from it.

I recently moved from Ellsworth, ME to South Carolina. I was greeted by Pegi who came out to the house to survey my items and develop an estimate. She is friendly, helpful, and returned the estimate to me quicker than expected. The price was lower than the other quotes I received. The packing and moving crew arrived on time, helped me find one cat that went into hiding, quickly and carefully packed up everything, and loaded it onto the truck all while being pleasant and fun to be around. The driver, Adam is very conscientious and answered all of my questions. Adam and the unloading crew arrived at my new home as scheduled, unloaded the truck, placed items in the assigned rooms, asked questions if they had any doubts about where I wanted something, and put together the furniture for me. Again, the crew was very pleasant and helpful. They even wondered what I was going to do with snowshoes in South Carolina. I can't say that I had a good answer for them. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd recommend Fox & Gin to anyone looking for a mover.

I recently moved from Maine to Massachusetts and am very glad I used Fox and Ginn. The closing date for my new home was postponed 4 times delaying my moving date 2 weeks. Fox and Ginn's office staff was very accommodating and when the closing finally took place on a Friday, they made special arrangements to have a driver and movers available on a Saturday to get me to my new home so I could begin my new job on Monday. Not only were the office staff understanding and pleasant to work with but the movers who carefully packed and loaded my possessions in Maine and the movers who unloaded them in Massachusetts were just as pleasant and professional. We had a good experience. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because there were a few things that weren't clear or I should have been. For example the there was confusion on my part in regards to pricing via our email conversations. I was given an estimate that didn't advise any difference in charges depending on the day and that this was a high estimate meaning our moving costs wouldn't exceed it but later when I said that I wanted to move on a Saturday I was told the price was more. It was handled appropriately by Fox and Ginn and I was not charged anything extra. Another miscommunication was that I asked the consultant to provide washer and dryer bolts for the move and was never told the cost of this until they were already installed. At that point there was nothing I could do as it was moving day. In addition, I was never told that I would need to pay the movers immediately when they were completed. There is no problem with this, I had simply thought I would be billed. Luckily I was able to find a checkbook. All in all a good experience! Most of the small issues were due to the communications missed with the consultant.

My name is Mike Jennings, I own Fox and Ginn Movers and an responding to comments posted by Curtis Haley. He is not a customer. He's a temporary laborer we attempted to hire to assist one of our drivers delivering in Vermont. July 13 - He agreed to do the work at an agreed upon hourly rate,but then called our driver at 11PM (the night before the job) and demanded more money. I don't appreciated being held hostage, so other labor was hired and we told Mr. Haley not to come. For the past several days, Mr. Haley has been texting and harrrassing our driver, and now this ridiculous "review". Please pay no attention to Mr. Haley's comments. They are not relevant and clearly he has far too much time on his hands. Thanks very much

The final cost of my move was 43% more than estimated, even though I had disposed of a significant amount of belongings after the estimate was given. The move itself was seamless, the driver helpful all along the way. And so far I've only found one broken item. My only complaint is the difference in the in-home estimate compared to the actual cost. I was given a $300 credit, for the additional $2,000 in charges. That is appreciated.

After experiencing a very difficult purchase of a home, we were somewhat distraught, and not looking forward to our move. The seller delayed our move twice, but Fox & Ginn accommodated us very nicely. I am still, after a year and half waiting for items "sitting" in their warehouse that were left off of the truck...the customer rep acknowledged it was sitting there... my expectation was that missing and numerous items damaged... the worst move out of 17 I have ever had...I paid for insurance but never received the paper work to resolve the issues...I had heart surgery shortly after.. so just dropped the whole thing so I could de-stress and move on...They were friendly and reassuring, but did not perform up to their promises of care and good service...I would give them one star...
